This place was better than I expected after reading several negative reviews. We went here on a Thursday evening to see a live performance in the back room. We ordered a chicken quesadilla to share with rice & beans ~ it was a decent size and very good. There were a lot of people there but our server managed to get us our food quickly. There is also a big area in the front for customers and 2 bar areas. Perfect for private parties and/or larger groups. I would definitely go back. *At night there is plenty of free parking on the side streets *Valet Parking at the front entrance

I remember coming here years ago and I thought it was a lot smaller than what it is now. This place is huge! It seemed like they have live events in the back and that totally explains why this place is always packed with cars in the front. When you arrive, there is only valet parking and I believe it was around $5 (please don't quote me on that). As you arrive, the hostess greets you at the frontt and sits you at a table or booth to the right. However, you can see a huge banquet room or something straight ahead with a stage for live acts. The place is dope because it has a bar area and tv's to catch the games and it's pretty live in there! The place is clean and fun and the vibe will have you turn up! There's a mariachi band that walks around and plays music at the tables, while enjoying your food. (staying on brand with the name of the restaurant). I went with the Camarones Al Mojo De Ajo which is Shrimp cooked on homemade veggies garlic butter sauce. Served with rice, beans, pico de gallo and tortillas. My boy got the cream chicken enchiladas which was cheese and chicken enchiladas topped with homemade cream sauce. Served with rice, beans, pico de gallo, guacamole and sour cream. We both enjoyed our meals and the service was great. Also, our waitress was cool and very attentive making sure our water glasses were full every chance she got. This place wasn't mind blowing but it was super solid and I've already recommended it to several of my friends. OOOO 4 out of 5 Afros

Came here for a birthday on a Friday night and was really impressed. The place was packed and had a full mariachi performance, which made the night super fun. The vibe is great, half restaurant, half live venue, though it does get loud as expected. Service was a solid 10/10, and everyone was really friendly. The servers and performers made the night so much fun. The drinks were amazing too. I had the spicy chipotle burrito, definitely wasn't spicy but so flavorful and reasonably priced. We also shared chips and guac, which were seriously delicious. Perfect spot for a loud lively dinner out.

Went to taco Tuesday here and I was pleasantly surprised! The food was delicious and the price was even better. The bartender Carlos was kind and attentive. The michelada was delicious as well

What is the saying about going to an empty restaurant? We were the only ones there. Service was friendly. Food was mediocre.

Ask the Community - El Mariachi Grill

Are there Mariachi Mon-Fri night?

Do you still have Sunday brunch?

Will you be playing the LAFC vs Galaxy game on Saturday, 5/8?

Will you be showing the Pacquiao/Thurman boxing match this sat 7/20?

Do they have Mariachis, if so, what are the times they play on a Saturday? Thank you!!

Yes they do have Mariachis and they played around 8:30pm on Saturday, when we went.

Do they have sunday Brunch? Price?

I'm not exactly sure. They open at 11 so maybe try calling around 10:30am and ask. Good luck and Enjoi

Super laid-back, great energy, and the kind of spot you can hang out for hours. Whether you're with friends or just grabbing a drink solo, it feels welcoming and not pretentious at all. Staff was top-tier too--friendly, knowledgeable, and gave solid recommendations without trying to upsell anything. Big plus. Also loved the setup--plenty of space, good music, and just an overall vibe that makes you want to come back. Definitely going to be a regular spot for me. Highly recommend if you're looking for good beer and a chill environment.

The bar was full, but Kayla didn't mind that we took a table, even though we told her we weren't ordering food. The groups of us ordered a Botanist Gin and Tonic ($15), the Eldorado Delight ($17), a Spicy Watermelon sub Mezcal ($17) and a Classics Old Fashioned ($17). Unfortunately, this morning's brunch was disappointing. I had the Elevated Avocado Toast (description on menu: Our dough with house seasoned avocado spread caprese: topped with diced tomatoes and mozzarella pearls). There was nothing elevated about this toast. It was a basic bread slightly toasted, barely enough avocado spread to cover each piece of toast. Plus, the avocado spread tastes premade from a bag, not fresh. There were more onions than tomatoes. The "mozzarella pearls" was regular mozzarella that was chopped up. I added eggs on top, sunny side up, they were cold. My husband had the Three Eggs Any Style (description: Served with 2 strips of bacon and homestyle fried potatoes with onions). He was given the wrong potatoes. The kitchen gave him papa freitas instead. The pancakes were decent. Our waitress was lovely as usual. We somehow always get the same waitress when we go. I hope they can use this as a learning opportunity for the future. We will be sticking to their dinner menu for now on.

Had to make a reservation for 4 people for the Rams-Bears game, and we were sat right in the middle tables near the back, almost touching (and frequently bumped by other patrons) nearby, instead of the more spacious lounge-type 4 seaters that I wanted. The area is deafeningly noisy, stuffy, No A/C. As if a sports bar isn't loud enough, they have a DJ for what reason I don't know blasting music at every opportunity during timeouts and between games...yikes. Super packed inside, but outside seating is very bare and only 1 crappy TV in the corner. Absolute pandemonium inside, dogs, kids everywhere. Love both but just a bizarre scene. Food was passable, nothing more. The asada nachos we were told had beans but didnt come with it, and had a weird liquid white cheese melted and not enough of it to smother the chips. Very expensive too almost 30 bucks! Barely any pico, no guac. Wings are so-so meaty and hot but boring not seasoned. The garlic parm fries are not bad but a pool of oil on the bottom of the basket. The burger seemed to be the best item, I ate a chicken sandwich (fried) it was plain and boring as hell, but not bad. We couldn't make it past halftime it was just so insanely loud and uncomfortable from rubbing seats behind me, can't move vertically. Parking lot completely sold out sharing with the golf course, had to park a few hundred feet away in another small lot, and the icing on the cake as we left some weirdo woman approached the window startling us and asking for money handing out something. Bolted the fuck out, counted our blessings and...see you next lifetime. Did not feel safe walking back to the far-out lot, and another homeless person actually entered the bar and was walking around, barely holding it together to not show his genitals. There was a security guard near entrance, I guess the homeless man parachuted in cuz he got past him. Good grief.

I have to prepare myself when I come here & I also prepare my friends (which end up telling me they did not expect it to be THAT Loud, so heads up, it really is.) I usually enjoy the patio here because it is much more quiet (youre able to hear your friends talking to you) & thankfully, it's available, or I'm not sure I would come here. Also, telling your order to the bar tender means that she can't hear you either, which is super fun to just scream at each other back & forth if thats what you're into. They don't have my favorite IPA on draft, but they have some good options for beers. I do love that they carry local brews -- they have mostly STONE, Golden Road & like, one Firestone (which is usually what I prefer.) They have some cocktails, so for girlypops that prefer those, this is a pretty solid place for variety in drink styles & thereby groups of people. I'm not sure if they have a car park in the back, actually, I usually find street parking right away, & there is a crosswalk right near the business if needed.
