I will start this as I always do by saying I do not give out five stars unless I am really blown away. I was passing through and found this little place. Great spot for lunch. Price was good. Food was excellent. The ambience was nice. I like the brick walls and adding in the Mexican vibe to it. They serve chips and salsa before the meal and they were delicious. I could've just taken another bowl of chips and salsa and that could've been my lunch but I ordered number six. Got a burrito and chicken taco with some rice. It was delicious services really good waiter came and checked on me often super friendly. Next time I'm passing through I will be stopping in. I suggest you do the same.

Great food, quick service. Delicious steak fajita salad( steak) but quite small portion. Guac and chips excellent. Friendly, quick, cool decor. Would recommend- visit.

Taco salad with chicken

Very cute, quick spot for lunch. Nicely decorated inside and extremely friendly staff. Chips and salsa before the meal were delicious (chips were even slightly warmed!) but the food itself was slightly bland. Have only been once though and would try them again if in the area in the future.

Chicken Enchiladas, Refried beans, rice

Enjoyed a wonderful meal of chicken enchiladas. The restaurant was busy, but the service was excellent. The wait staff understood gluten-free and informed me which sauces are safe for gluten allergies (celiac). Very reasonable prices for excellent food.

We love coming here. The staff is friendly and the inside is so nicely decorated. The food always tastes fresh and things come out quickly. We always get the chimichangas so I can't speak to anything else, but they never disappoint.

Great food and quick service. The waiter was great. We needed a few minutes to look at the menu and it was worth it. Food was fresh and delicious.

Had soft tacos, an adult beverage, flan and churros. We enjoyed the chips and salsa they brought out at the beginning of the meal. 3 tacos came with refried beans and rice. All tasty. The flan was really good and creamy.

Gorgeous hand painted booths!

Hands down my absolute favorite Mexican restaurant in Upstate NY! I stumbled on El Bajio on my way home from being out west and I'm so glad I did! The booths have gorgeous carved and painted with Dia de Los Muertos scenes, the service was wonderful and fast! The food was absolutely incredible! I highly recommend chile relleno and tamales for starters. I can't not get a chimichanga when it's offered, and they're absolutely worth trying! They have a few beers to choose from and an extensive margarita list as well! I highly recommend checking out El Bajio if you haven't yet, it's definitely worth the drive to Seneca Falls if you're not in the immediate area!

Tacos de tilapia

Tried the food here since they have gluten free options. The food was very good. The service was very friendly and the restaurant is decorated very beautifully. My rice was a little under cooked but that's my only complaint!

Awesome guacamole.
Chris C.

Best guacamole I've had in quite awhile. Good quick Mexican food lunch on the road. Would definitely come back in the future to try the more authentic tacos (just had a speedy gonzales) to hopefully bring that to a 5 star. Worth a visit.

With them closing at 9pm we understood to get our order in before the kitchen closed. We were sat near the front bar area with one other table nearby. Our waiter, younger guy who told us he was heading to college took our drink orders - I ordered an old-fashioned. The old-fashioned was not. At all. Oh well. To start we ordered the crab Rangoon cheese sticks and the Birria quesadilla. The cheese sticks came with sweet and sour sauce. These were ok - but cool on the inside. A dash cooler than lukewarm. Don't know. The Birria? Never came before entree. As an entree I ordered the steak which I ordered medium and came with mixed veg and potatoes. Then things really started to unravel. Our waiter took the time to talk to the nearby table about his busy schedule, his sports and theater productions, for a good 10-12 minutes. Meanwhile we were still waiting on that second appetizer, needed a refill, and hopefully our entrees. The other waitress had to bring out our meals. The sides were flavorful and good - the steak that our waiter piped up about? Cold. Shocking given the roundtable discussion with only one table and the kitchen having only two things to prepare. Also, steak wasn't medium. We asked about the Birria which "never was put in" and given how poorly the steak was I said I wanted the item. Birria was good but the consume dipping sauce was just red like cough syrup. For dessert we got the peanut butter pie. It was ok. Overall I would like to say it was OK (3 stars) but with the spotty service, the mediocre food - I have to go 2/5

Long review! Ok,…read moredrinks were perfect. The house white chard I would def recommend. Wings: 10/10 crispy how they should be and it's a true mild, not spicy st all. Pulled pork sandwich: I love the vinegar base that didn't overpower but complicated the sauce. The sauce did not overpower anything. They gave the perfect amount of sauce. We opted to put the coleslaw on the side. Coleslaw: perfect amount seasoning and sweet and tart. Po boy sandwich: the seasoning was delicious. The spice crept up but on in a very slow building way that was enjoyable. My only issue, and it's why we couldn't give a 5 star in the Food category, the shrimp was a little too salty. But because of the base seasoning, we ate the shrimp anyway (its base seasoning is so so good!!!).The roll was a white French roll, not toasted which I didn't mind at all. The All American Classic cheeseburger: He requested medium well, and the burger was cooked exactly as requested. So no worries if you prefer a medium burger. The veggies were fresh and condiments on the burger was the perfect amount. Friendly staff. The gentleman who greeted us could tell we weren't sure where to sit, pointed us for two options of seating. The young lady who helped us towards the end was friendly and attentive, but not over attentive where it makes you feel weird. When we left, everyone said goodbye! I've never had that happen and it was such a pleasant surprise! Overall: if you come thru the area (my military peeps you know you looking for an area to visit!), stop here. Great people, yummy food, and friendly people who couldn't be more welcoming. OH ! The TV we're playing spots (of course it's a pub!) but one tv was playing Wonder Woman 2. I really appreciated having something else to watch. So did my daughter.
