Hamburger Steak meal

Visited Stanton this morning. Was hoping for breakfast, but had lunch. Mom and I both ordered the Hamburger Steak plate, it was delicious; even though my mashed potatoes were not warm. The gravy on the hamburger steak was a little salty, so I just didn't add any extra salt to my veggies; which I normally do. The sweet tea was good. It took a while to get our food due to carry out orders, which we later saw being piled up at the counter. No biggy. We weren't in a hurry. The only thing that will keep me from coming back are the prices on the menu for other food items. I think the prices are geared for oilfield workers in the area.

It was hard finding the place because it didn't have a noticeable sign anywhere. Only by using the navigation was I able to pin point the restaurant. Parking was kind of random, I think you just park where you can. I actually got there a little before 3pm so I decided to take it to go. Inside the restaurant was a nice little cozy space, their wall covered with pictures, plates and just bunch of decors. Great place to stop with friends to eat or just a quick lunch. Now after reading all the reviews I knew I was going to try out the chicken steak. I also got mashed potato and mac&cheese for sides. The food was ready in around 10 min and I was on and about out of that door. ::::FOOD:::: The portions of food were generous, chicken steak actually covered the whole Togo box with mashed potatoes and bread hiding under it. The actual chicken steak it-self was good but not amazing. It certainly is better than the ones you get from stops, cafeteria or the stores but nothing more. To me the steak was crispy but felt alittle over battered with little meat. The gravy on the steak was generic and if I were to get it again I'll probably ask them to leave the gravy on the side. Mashed potatoes and mac was really good, I personally like to eat the mashed potatoes with steak and that was fabuloso. I believe it's a great stop with fair portions of food. Could be hard to find but look hard enough and you just might make it.

I have made a review of this place several times but can't seem to find it. If you are ever in the area and searching for a great meal EJs is the spot. Great food, wonderful service and for the price it can't be beat. My favorite there of all things is the Mac and cheese it sooooo good and tasty. So If your looking for great food. Your in the right place.

A place that Guy Ferrari would surely go to for a tapping of "Diner, Drive ins, and Dives". We went based on a local's suggestion and it was a great idea! The place was hard to find despite it being such a small town. It was indistinguishable as a restaurant establishment. It looked more like a place that sells storm sheds. The food was deliciously southern. I had the "Chicken Fried Chicken" with green beans and fries. I thought the green beans would be some steamed beans soaked in water, but it was nicely sautéed with some bacon. The fries were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, as it should be. The only negative is that they had some generic brand ketchup "House Recipe" and it wasn't as flavorful as Heinz. This is just a small detail though. The chicken was nicely bartered and crispy. The battered flaked off, but the chicken was juicy and good. The gravy was also delicious. One plus is that their honey mustard was great. My colleagues had hamburgers and they said it was very good. The bread was lightly sweeten like Hawaiian bread. A must go if you are in Stanton, Texas.

Best ribeye steak ever. I had it cooked well done, and it was still juicy and tender.

This spot was amazing 10/10 will miss this food leaving more than anything. If they catered weddings we'd hire them. We had Alejandro and their manager was soso kind. If you are here as a resident or a visitor this is a MUST. We came back twice in one day like psycho paths. All food was to die for and their staff was phenomenal!! THIS IS A MUST!!

I am very happy that I found Saint Blaise as they hit all three of my marks for restaurants that I take customers to. Food: The food was great. I wanted to get the steak and potatoes but it was $50+ which I thought was a bit steep for just steak and potatoes. I opted for the blackened salmon which was cooked perfectly with delicious broccoli and mashed potatoes on the side that were also cooked perfectly. The gnocchi had a perfect consistency with a non-overwhelming sauce so also phenomenally done. The two drinks I got: Same Place and Maple Manhattan were well-made with each component complementing each other well and not overpowering one another. If you like tequila and manhattans I think you will be happy. Service: The servers were very attentive and made sure we were taken care of the entire visit especially with the waters. Huge kudos! Ambiance: I will say because the inside space is a bit tight and small, having conversation when the restaurant was busy proved a bit difficult but if that is the case they do have seating right outside in the lobby area and having conversations there should not be an issue. I will make sure to be back with customers here!

From the start, the service set the tone. My server had that perfect balance--attentive, helpful, and genuinely engaged without hovering. It made the evening feel relaxed and easy. I started with the Parmesan fries because, honestly, who skips Parmesan fries when they're on the menu? They were crisp, flavorful, and just indulgent enough to feel like the right decision. For the entrée, I ordered the pan-seared salmon, and it did not disappoint. It was cooked to perfection, and the seasoning complemented the fish beautifully. The risotto was creamy and well-prepared, and the green beans had that fresh, crisp texture that tied everything together. The atmosphere added to the experience. Being set inside a beautifully restored historic property gave the place character. It felt like a spot where locals gathered--there was a familiarity in the room that made it feel like the place to see and be seen. And while it didn't hurt to walk in alongside the head of the local hospital (pure coincidence, and no, I wasn't a patient), the restaurant stood on its own merit. If you're driving through Big Spring or staying the night, Settles Grill was well worth the stop. It's a place where you don't "settle" at all--you simply have a very good meal in a setting that feels both welcoming and established.
