I really liked it and I got a cinnamon and raisin bagel with cream cheese. If you don't say with cream cheese you won't get it. I placed an order through doordash (not my first time) but it wouldn't give me the option to add cream cheese or even type in the instructions. So I thought I would be able to call and ask them to just add it to my bagel. The worker told me I have to add that on doordash but when I told him it wouldn't give me the option he was silent for a bit and then said "anything else I can help you with". So I wasn't able to get cream cheese, the simplest bagel topping, all because he wanted to charge me. This call was at 1:22pm on 10/26. I was overcharged for 1 specialty bagel and went back into the store and they took care of the overcharge. I got home and sliced my green chili bagel and it was raw in the middle! It was disgusting!! I love Einstein Bagels but this store has quality control issues and looking at the Yelp reviews for this location there are several customer service issues as well. I've never had quality control/customer service issues with the Einstein's Bagels on Harvard in Irvine (close to my work). I came here on a Monday morning for the bagel deal of $13 for a dozen bagels + 2 cream cheeses, and I get that there's always some kind of morning rush, but everything just seemed to be really disorganized. Note to those who've never been in the store: there are two lines on opposite ends of the counter. One is to place your order (it's on the far right if you enter the store) and the other (on the far left -- the first line you'll see) is to pay. I didn't know that, so I stood in the first line I saw which was nearest to the entrance. That was my fault. So when my turn came, the guy kept trying to guess my name, and I assumed he thought I was a regular customer or something. So I kept saying, "lol no..." Then he asked me if I wanted a bagel, and I said, "Oh, yes, an everything bagel with schmear." He said I was supposed to order in the other line, but luckily, be still rang me up anyway. Then he started helping the other people in line without telling me how to get my bagel. I walked to the line "to order" and explained that I already paid for the bagel since I didn't know there were separate lines to pay and order. The cashier looked very confused, so I showed her my receipt and explained again lol. She said, "You didn't get your bagel yet?" Why would I still be there if I had my bagel already??? Anyway, I said, "No," so then she started to move over to the toaster area and told me they were still working on my bagel. After about two minutes, she informed me there were no more everything bagels. I repeated the question incredulously as it was only 10am... How can they run out of the best bagel already? Sadly, I settled on an onion bagel. Also, the process of handing over bagels is really informal (very unlike Panera where the server personally gives you the plate or bag and wishes you a good day). This place is FILTHY! If you stop in look at the wall behind the counter by the toaster and microwave. There is grease lint on the wall and on top of the toaster. I mean this place would probably be shut down it's so dirty. Place clean up place because I moved here from New England and I love the Einstein Bros there. Service is really slow too. Service was quite appalling and the organization of this store is horrendous. "Order" is on the right, "Pay" is on the left, and "Pick-up" is right in between. And the next thing I knew, an employee told everyone to go outside as we reached the max occupancy due to COVID - she repeated it twice. They gave me jallepeno again which I cant eat. Because the previous time they messed up my order and I asked them to please fix it, they blamed it on me and then gave me a half assed replacement. Einstein Bros bagels has been here for awhile. They're next to the chick fil a. Parking can be a little hard sometimes especially with the Korean place opening up next door which is very popular. The coffee is not bad here. I mostly come for the bagels though. My two favorites are the lox for $4.99. I also really like the ham and Swiss extra toasted. Went into the store looking for a basic bagel sandwich and a cranberry bagel with cream cheese. I ordered, paid and patiently waited for my name to be called. They proceeded to serve every single person in the store, including five people who came in and ordered after me. The manager then continued to yell out an order for "Omar". I'm not "Omar" but I am black so he assumed I was "Omar". After about ten minutes of him repeatedly looking direct at me and yelling for "Omar"; he rudely asked "are you waiting on an order or something". I replied "yes". His response was "what's the name". I gave him my name, and he then checked the computer to see if I had indeed ordered something. He was shocked to find out that I did and told the people making the bagels behind him. They replied "oh shit" and made my order quickly. I wasn't greeted with an apology just a "here". I had to ask for the coffee that I ordered to go with my breakfast and he had to check the ticket again to see if I had purchased one. First time coming here. Used the app which there is a choice for curbside pickup. Chose my time which was 9:10am. Got there at 9:10 and put on my hazards as instructed. There is no specific parking for Einstein or curbside pickup parking. All the parking spots were taken in front of the store. I waited till 9:18 with my hazards on and figured no one was coming out. I had to go inside and my bagel was sitting on top of the counter space. Why offer curbside pickup on the app when you clearly don't follow it. When I went inside to ask about the curbside pickup I was told my order was in the middle of a rush and they got busy. I'm sure the mornings will always be busy. Don't offer it or at least have designated parking for curbside so they can see what customers are there to pick up their food. I was really hoping the bagel would be good but I didn't get a toasted bagel like I ordered and by the time I got it home, it was so chewy, inedible and cold. First off this review strictly deals with the way this establishment treats customers and customer orders. I've been here many times during the COVID era, so I can confidentially say they rarely enforce the number of people allowed inside the store at one time. I've seen upwards of 20 people inside the store when the limit is 5. This is public health problem and not up for debate My second problem is how this store deals with orders. They give overwhelming priority to mobile and door dash orders over walk in customers. This morning I was there and waited in line to order with 4 other people inside the store for them to do only mobile orders. I'd wagered it's about 7 mobile orders done for every 1 walk in order. I ended up waiting for 15 minutes after I placed my order for 1 bagel. In fact they did so many mobile orders before customers they ran out of plain bagels at 9 am, which me and the other person ordered. While I waited I counted 14 bagels being made at once instead for a mobile orders instead of walk in customers orders. 7 of those orders had plain bagels. Lastly mobile orders are just picked up without any verification. This may obviously lead to theft, as anyone could just walk in take an order and walk out. These walk in customers routinely cut the entire line, and contribute to the total number of people in the store. I hope these issues can be resolved read more
