I was concerned about that prior to coming here, but was pleasantly surprised when I walked in. I placed my order in advance and it was ready by the time of my arrival. The lady at the counter made sure I got my order and advised me that my drink cups were inside. The food was delicious! I love a good char burger! I was disappointed with my last visit to The Hat, and I'm glad I made my switch to Habit! What made this visit extra enjoyable is that the nice lady (I wish I got her name!) from the counter brought us some delicious treats! It was totally unexpected and much needed on this hot day! I was a little disappointed with my order from the Habit Burger this time around. I have been to this location several times, and the food and service has always been great. I placed an online order for a Charburger, a 1/2 and 1/2 order of French fries and tempura green beans, and kid's meal. The order was on time. However, the order was somewhat lukewarm and when I got home, the food was a little soggy. It did not seem fresh. This Habit Burger Grill location is always super clean! The tables and restrooms included. Even the little side bar with the peppers, chiles, and pickles is consistently clean and well stocked, which I really appreciate. Customer service today was 10 out of 10. The guy helping us was knowledgeable, quick, efficient, and genuinely friendly, which always makes the experience better. I tried the $10 Gotta Habit Meal, and it was such a good deal. It included a five piece chicken bite a half Santa Barbara Charburger with my side choice. You can choose between a side salad, fries, or the friedgreen tempura beans, and I went with the green beans, which honestly was such a great choice. Super filling and really good. Came in after shopping around the area. The food was good and just as comparable to any other habit. The burger was juicy and the fries crispy. One of the downsides is that while this restaurant looks new the inside was dirty. All the tables were dirty and had crumbs from the prior customers. This is my go to spot for the habit, the staff are super nice. On one occasion the lady offer my dad and I water cups and even gave is extra ranch without charge. Been here twice now. Get a double char with a 50/50 of sweet potato fries and onion rings. A large lemonde refresher. Staff here is quick and pleasant to deal with. The dude who handed me my food was cool, he seems to like his job and was professional. My experiences have been great. I've done drive through both times and the wait times are short. Oh my...my last review of this Habit Burger & Grill was over 4 years ago. We had just finished grocery shopping and were on our way home. Habit is on the way and an easy drive thru for us as we approached the 405 fwy. I always like to be first in line as right after we entered, three cars followed. Looking over the menu board carefully and a friendly voice asked for our order. We did have to repeat the order as the person on the other end wants to make it error free. So 2x number 1 charburger combo, one with cheese and no pickles, and one no cheese and no onions. French Fries came very hot, but the medium size ice cold lemonade quenched our thirst. Our Habit Burger drive thru experience was a positive one and we added a healthy tip to the hard working crew inside. I ordered the Grilled Chicken and I could not decide on the salad dressing Blue cheese or Ranch dressing to my surprise he gave me both dressings. Horrible service, we have gone at least 3 consecutive times and they never get my order right. We went today thinking it's different but this time they had their drive thru closed due to their "systems down". I think it's a total lie, once I went inside I saw all the workers in the back just lollygaggin around and causing 15 min wait for food to get distributed. Nearly everyone in the restaurant appeared to be waiting for their food, regardless of how or when they ordered. One customer, in particular, ordered a lettuce wrap burger with just lettuce, onion, and the burger patty. After waiting a long time, he received the wrong order--not once, but twice--and eventually gave up trying to have it corrected. Another woman's pager went off, but her food wasn't ready. She had to get a second pager, and when that one buzzed, she chose to hold onto it until she actually received her meal. Despite the confusion at the counter, the kitchen staff seemed to be working very hard. The cooks did a fantastic job under pressure. Unfortunately, by the time we received all of our items, our food was cold, which was disappointing. That said, it was appreciated that the staff remade a melted shake without hesitation. It seemed the team was overwhelmed by the ordering system, especially the color-coded screen used to match orders with meals. This habit is horrible. Last time I came here was prob 2yrs ago. I've always made sure to stay away. My wife decided to come here since it was closer than the HB one. Now she understands why I never went back. The fries were too salty, we couldn't even eat them. We had to throw them out. My daughter's chicken nuggets were over cooked and hard. Habit burger is pricey in my opinion but it's always delicious. My go to menu is the ahi tuna on sourdough add avocado and get the green bean fries. This is such a great bunch of flavors. I have tried the impossible burgers and they are fine but the tuna sandwich is the best bang for the money. If you like tropical tea they have one of the best around. I've been to many Habit Burger locations between here and NorCal. And I must say, this location is extremely convenient for me and they also run their operation pretty smoothly. Drive-thru has been spot on each time as they haven't messed up my order yet. However, at times it could take quite awhile to get your order. I also recently dined in here with my toddler and there was no one there right before noon. Plenty of seating inside and even outside. They keep the place pretty spotless. Kudos to the staff for that upkeep. Bonus is the condiments station right by the drink station. One of the cleanest, most organized and locations I've seen. The food at The Habit can be good, or very disappointing at times. It's really hit-or-miss. This particular one had some serious oomph to it. The double char tasted so fresh, and was cooked to perfection, good char yet still juicy, cheese fully melted, toasted bun, the right amount of mayo, and extra grilled onions and pickles as requested. It made me fall in love with eating a properly made burger all over again. Highly recommend this location in Westminster, CA. There's something here that embodies the original vision of its founders. Ordered online today and it said my order would be ready at 1:06 pm. Got to the restaurant and it was packed with people waiting for their order. It took 25 more minutes to get my order. My salad had old, brown lettuce and onions that seemed to be pickled, but I don't recall the salad having pickled red onions, so that was weird. I don't know why they changed the containers to the brown cardboard containers, it makes the food taste bad. Overall, not a good experience this time. read more
