They seemed overstaffed, and no one was particularly friendly. I ordered a bagel and shmear. The available shmears weren't listed anywhere, so the bagelista listed them off to me quickly and monotonously. She wasn't really interested in me getting what I wanted, she just wanted to move me along. I also sensed an attitude from the girl at the register. I have been coming to this location as long as it has been open(many years). Through the years the management has changed sometimes good, sometimes bad. This location knows me and my order, are always friendly to me, and the bagels are great. Although I come here three or four times a week my rating has nothing to do with the bagels or typical service. This location does fluctuate service-wise depending on who is working. My review is to point out an excellent employee! Langston makes me wish I was back in the food service(or any service industry). He smiles at customers. He greets them and converses with those he knows and those he doesn't. Once there was a potential altercation and Langston stepped up to be the enforcer although in a non-threatening manner. I worked in food service from the time I was 14 and owned a catering company. Good food is important but your servers, line people and cashiers are the face of your business. I'm pretty sure anyone who frequents this place feel the same and I'm not one to openly criticize or praise very often but when appropriate - I speak up. I don't know Langston at all but after 42 years in a sales/engineering environment I can recognize the people I would want on my team. Then went to the men's bathroom. These cheap bastards cannot replace a a broken toilet stall in their bathroom. The handicap stall has no privacy door whatsoever for our citizens. This is my review for this Einstein's only. I have one near my house in Murphy and it rocks. This one on the hand is horrible. Where to start?! First off it's Saturday morning and they are out of 5 different types of bagels! I had to keep going down the list to find something they actually had. Only to order, and then 10 minutes later be told, sorry we forgot we don't have that either. There about 10 people here waiting on their orders, they sell bagels, what's the wait!!!! Second, they are out of coffee, only have decaf, mind you these are things you find out AFTER you have already paid. They have no sugar in the RAW either, but I guess that doesn't matter because they have no coffee. Every table is dirty, but why stay, there's no coffee! I've both dined in at this Einstein Bros location and ordered catering for a large group breakfast before, and have had positive experiences both times. Was with a group of about 7-8 people when we dined in and they forgot to include the potato salad with my signature sandwich order, but were very nice about giving it to me when I went up to the counter and asked for it. Stopped in on our travels. The building sits on the corner of a shopping plaza and has fairly limited parking. There was no wait and we ordered at counter then our bagels and coffee were ready in about 5 mins. I got the sweet cream cold brew which was ok nothing spectacular and the nova lox sandwich which was GREAT! The cost was 6.99 for sandwich and had lox, cream cheese, onions, tomatoes and capers. Corporate seriously needs to do a secret shopper on this location on Sunday mornings. The management is horrible. He closed the order register and do we had to order and pay then hang around waiting. It took 30 minutes from our order time until our three bagels with a schmear were ready. That was three weeks ago. Today they were out of chocolate chip bagels, out of blueberry bagels and wanted to charge an extra 60¢ to put an apple cinnamon in our box. The girl said "is that ok"? My husband said "no". I really like Einstein Bagels and this location makes me sad. The register is at the far right and should be at the left and then have the patrons wait on the fair right. It confuses the customer and really interrupts the flow of the eatery. I hope corporate can come in and recognize the issue. Also more staffing in the kitchen area is needed. This is by far the worst Einstein's I've ever been to. The ordering process is completely out of sync. Some times they have you order at the register and then they move it to the order here section. (You'll understand if you happen to order from any other Einstein's, the process is uniform). Once my order was in, it took over 15 minutes to get the bagel even though it isn't very busy. When I finally did get my order, they had given my bagel to another customer who had it in his hands and had walked away. When they realized their mistake, they took the bagel back from the other customer and slapped it on a new plate and gave it to me. When I questioned their decision to give me a food item that another customer had handled, they told me it was ok because it was I a small bag. Seriously, the health department should pay attention to this place. read more

I used to be a fan of Einstein Brothers Bagels, but I think this past visit will be my last. I never mistook Einstein for a real NY bagel place, but the selection of bagel places close to home are really limited. For any non NYers, if a place asks you if you want your bagel toasted, it's generally a sign to run for the nearest exit. You should *never* toast a bagel until it's almost stale... it's a last resort! On this last visit I noticed they redid their ordering process. You have to order at the counter when you first enter the line... but the menu and items are along the case past the computer. It makes no sense whatsoever. So after walking around to look at what was in stock for the day, we returned to the "Order Here" sign and placed our order. Then you pick up your order and pay at another register... I guess it's more efficient during busy times, but when it's slow it seems like a big pain. I went to pick up my buttered bagels and saw that there was about 1 teaspoon of spread on each. Now I really am not a fan of spread, especially when I order butter, but I remembered that for some reason a buttered bagel at Einstein is a spread bagel... but there's so little spread that you can barely see the few spots where it's actually on the bagel. I asked for more and they gave me some on the side. Now my bagels were decent, but my wife bit into hers and it was ice cold and hard. She took it up and said that she didn't want an old bagel left in the fridge. Instead of just giving her a new bagel and apologizing, the guy argued with her that it's normal for bagels to be hard and cold, below room temperature. Maybe she's just picky, but do you need to argue with the customer? Bah! I set my google-talk status message to "Driving Around Until I Find Food" and left my office. Hoping something would jump out in front of my car and say eat me. Cause, frankly, nothing sounded good. Somehow I ended up at Einstein Bros Bagels. I can't say how their bagels are because I had a wrap sandwich, but.. I probably would have disagreed with Tom W. I am not a bread person to begin with... so if you even have dreams that I am going to eat one... you better damn well toast the living daylights out of the thing, and cover it in cream cheese (or pastrami and cheese). If bagels are just bagels, they are too doughy and dry to eat without some sort of heat and fat on them. I didn't have the issue that Tom had with where the menu was hanging, as they took my order in front of the menu. Granted the "order here" sign was still there, but I just walked right past it to see the menu and then they took my order from where I was standing. Sometimes you have to ignore signs. But with the sore neck I was nursing today, I didn't feel the need to exert the energy to have to chew my way thru a bagel sandwich. I ordered the California Chicken Wrap. It had herb cream cheese, chicken, and sprouts on it. Because of the dumb Tomato Scare of 2008, they offered to add cucumbers to my wrap instead. And, of course, I took off the lettuce due to my allergy. The wrap as a whole tasted ok. It really needed tomatoes and some sort of color. The entire wrap was either beige or green. BORING. Their kettle chips were good though. My biggest complaint was when I went back to the counter to buy a cookie. The guy took my cookie and put it in a bag and laid it on the counter by the cash register and then WALKED off. I stood there, for what felt like a good 5 minutes. One person was making some sort of frozen drink. The manager walked past me twice before she decided she needed to take my $1.29 for the cookie. I was tempted to just take it and walk out, but I just dont float that way. I dont even cheat on pogo.com games, much less steal a $1.29 cookie. read more

I stood ignored for almost 5 minutes. The gentleman in front of me finally got to order, and it took forever because he was struggling to understand the broken English of the worker. It was finally my turn. I had trouble getting him to understand my order. I realized I forgot my wallet and told him I'd be right back. I was back in seconds, (would have been faster if the door near my car wasn't blocked) but he had erased my order. At that point I didn't have time to vo through ordering all over again. The Bagel Challenge: I have had some serious cravings for a bagel. Specifically, an Asiago bagel with regular cream cheese that is lightly toasted. So I have decided to check out all the bagel places where I live and conduct an experiment. The control: Asiago bagel with cream cheese Einstein's makes you order on one side and then pay at the other end. They get busy on Sunday mornings surprisingly though. When I ordered, you get the bagel already with cream cheese on the bagel. It goes in a paper to go sack. PRICE: The total for a Simply Apple Juice and the bagel was $5.50 They are very nice and friendly but unbearably slow. If you know you'll be busy in the mornings, please pick up the slack Einsteins. After the long wait you get the pleasure of having your order taken by someone who is desperately waiting for 4:20. No one has a clue what they are doing. I guess it's been a year since I've been to Einstein's - I used to go to daily at a different job. I used to love the salmon LOX bagel, but something changed on the menu. It's not the same - the diced tomato has given way to a full size slice, the shmear at this location was extremely thin, they did not include the pickle that was on the menu saying that they only give it by request. And at 9 a.m. when I was the only person in line they were out a plain bagels and I had to choose different type of bread. I'm very disappointed. read more

Came here on a Saturday morning - we got a half dozen bagels and cream cheese. They had a line but it moved quickly. While it was a pretty standard visit, the store was clean and the service was good, I was particularly impressed with the care they took to remake an order. I noticed a sign that they do a special of 13 bagels for $7 on Monday. They also have a rewards from but you have to sign up in advance (aka your purchase today doesn't count). read more

Two stars for food only. This is the absolute worst Einstein Bros I've ever visited. First off, the service counter was completely backwards. You order at the very end of the counter and have to walk through the line to pick up your food in the middle of the counter. Completely confusing. Second, the service was very lacking. Nobody behind the counter even looked up or greeted-including the young guy at the register. He simply waited for you to start your order. We asked what kind of bagels they had (based on other reviews saying they're always out) and his expression changed to something like exhaustion. He rubbed both hands over his face with a sigh then he mumbled off a few. He was also wearing jeans with a Dallas Cowboys hoodie with the hoodie up. Very unprofessional. Last, the cleanliness. There was a shelf on the wall with a dirty napkin and an empty plastic cup. Below that were a crumbled up newspaper and crumbs. The floor of the restaurant also looked as though it had t been swept in days. Needless to say, I will not be coming back to this location. The bagels are pretty good, but the service is absolutely ridiculous. Every single time I have gone there and got bagels to-go they have screwed my order up. I know part of that is my fault for not checking it before I leave, but how hard is it to make 2 bagels with plain cream cheese (when I got home only 1 had cream cheese)? Spoke with the manager the last time they did this and he couldn't possibly care less. I waited awhile to go back but thought I would try this establishment again after a horrible experience. Aside from the rudeness from what seems to be a senior member of the team, the service was also poor. A younger man at the register apologized for the wait but she (leader) seemed to have no regard to customer service or her work ethic. I ordered a box of bagels, most were sliced by having a small slice on the top outer corner to form a small flap. Plainly seen, no care or regard for doing it right and placed in box handed to me like I was interrupting her day. Always a great place to grab a quick breakfast, though egg whites were not available due to recalls related to the avian flu outbreak. Really good options for breakfast sandwiches on their morning menu. They went a little lighter on the shmear than I remember from previous visits. My only complaint about this place is that the aroma of freshly toasted bagels is almost always overpowered by the smell of burnt bagels. Might make a difference if they regularly cleaned crumbs out of the bagel toaster. read more

Nice variety of bagels at a fair price. The breakfast paninis (particularly the spinach, egg, bacon and cheese) are tasty. Their coffee is alright; I've had worse and I've had better. I think their bagels and cream cheese are great. But for the price of their ready made items it's pretty expensive and inconsistent. If I order lox sometimes it is stuffed with salmon, other times it's barely any fish but giant globs of cream cheese. So I usually just buy their wonderful bagels and cream cheese then make my own sandwiches at home. I save some money that way and it's basically the same thing. So try their bagels but take them to go and fix them how you like at home. read more

Zero stars if I could. I went In there hoping to get some bagels. Monday special is now apparently only available if you download the app. No issues downloading and seetting the app. I had to fall back in line to put my order in. The other location too s usually had a separate are for justt ordering bagels. In this particular location you have to fall in line to place your order with the cashier and walk bacK to the front of the line to choose your bagels thEn pay for it. Upon placing my order and paying for it, I waited 5 mins for them to tell me they werre out of blueberry bagels. Mind you this was at 8 am in the morning. Cashier then proceeded to tell mme I had to wait another 10-15 mins. If I wanted blueberry bagels. Who has time in a Monday morning to wait 30 mins total for bagels?
