Oh Einstein's...it's so disappointing to know this is not the first poor experience I've had but one on top of multiple occasions. Here are the wins from today, 1) I was not forgotten in the drive thru and made to wait twenty minutes. Instead my drive thru visit was only 15 minutes with a terse order taken at the intercom and one interaction at the window where payment was taken and food was shoved out at me 2) instead of watching an employee on their phone not respond to the drive thru for an excessive amount of time thru the drive thru window - while my order was ready and waiting, I did see people moving about and had a glimpse of hope that they would come soon 3) I came away with my order and a small hope that it might be right. Honestly, the questions one could ask themselves before coming to this location for the drive-they are: Do I have time to waste? Do I enjoy playing a game of chance? How patient am I today? Sadly, even the food was disappointing today. There was almost more pepper than egg, zero schmear where there should be, and the sandwich was wrapped poorly with half of it exposed in the bag. It fell apart as I tried to eat it and I had to consume the parts which didn't flop to the floor over a waste basket at my desk. If I could give 0 stars I would. The manager (did not get her name) defended a customer that left her baby and a 10 year old in the car crying with the windows barely cracked open. When confrontation broke out between multiple customers about the kids, the manager and the mom of the kids gossiped with each other. This location has horrible customer service. There is a typed and posted sign on the drive thru menu stating drive thru hours are 6-12pm, same as the store hours. We pulled into the drive thru at 1007 behind 4 cars, one ordering and 3 having already ordered. The 4 cars in front of us were helped, however when we got the speaker at 1008 we were told the drive thru just closed. I asked about the sign stating 6-12pm and was told that's true but they are closing the drive thru. I asked to have my order taken as the 4 in front of me just had done and Your "manager" Madison came on the speaker and rudely told us to get out of her line she's not helping us. We were not directed to come inside, we were told we would not be helped. Your management is poorly trained and poorly representing a company my family had supported for more than 2 decades. Yummy, very filling breakfast in a pinch! The place was busy, as guests kept coming to get their fill. They have a wide selection of breakfast bagels, both dine in and to go. Absolutely horrible service. The employees and management are completely incompetent. It consistently takes 30+ minutes for a single bagel order. Today, after waiting 30 minutes, I did not even receive the bagel I ordered. When speaking with the manager, he looked like he was high as his eyes were completely bloodshot. All they do is offer coupons or a free drink instead of fixing the root of the problem: the accuracy of simple orders, wait times, and disrespectful attitudes from staff (and management). In fact, when speaking with the manager he scoffed and told me not to come back. I will no longer be visiting this location and I suggest that no one else does either. Do not waste your time and money. To any upper-level management: you need to do a full reset on your location and find new staff who actually care about their job (or at least pretend to). I have never gotten through their drive-through in less than 10 minutes- going into place an order takes even longer because no one is manning the counter or drive-through line. If your order was correct, then go buy a lottery ticket. Came in for a quick breakfast and saw they had a drive thru. I was very excited to be in and out so quickly. I ordered the chorizo sunrise breakfast sandwich. I had never had chorizo sausage before and I'm glad I finally did because WOW that hit the spot. I loved the gourmet bagel with green chilies baked on top with cheddar cheese. It also had a jalapeño salsa cream cheese, Schmear on the sandwich. I will absolutely be getting extra cream cheese next time because that was the star of the show. The service was fantastic. Teeeeerrrible from the service to the food. Most of the employees here are rude from the start of your visit till the end. Constantly out of the most basic items and typically mess up orders (didn't put any turkey on the sandwich I ordered today, but not limited to missing whole items in your order or giving you the wrong product). There's always a problem with the drive thru whether that be being closed down entirely or cash only (they tell you you can use card inside which just reeks of laziness if you ask me). I'll start by saying that since I arrived in Kansas City 30+ years ago I've been a regular and avid fan of Einstein Brothers (dating back to when they were Bagel and Bagel). During Covid they stopped allowing dine in, which killed it for me. I came in this morning and resigned to hitting the drive in and eating in my car and noticed the tables were back in the dining area. They once again allow dining in. I ordered my favorite, a nova lox sandwich on a toasted bagel and coffee. The coffee was typically great! The sandwich, not so much. The sesame bagel was delicious, nicely toasted. The schmear of cream cheese was light, the two skimpy slices of lox were both on the same half of the sandwich, I had two small heels of tomato, about eight capers and two little rings of red onion on it. I didn't say anything while I was there, because I get tired of being the guy that has to complain about his food all the time. This place used to be the bomb! read more

I ordered the egg white, tomato, avocado Sandwich, a power bagel(to go), and a vanilla hazelnut coffee. They ran out of vanilla hazelnut coffee and did not refill it the entire time I was at the restaurant (20 minutes). The staff was friendly. Unfortunately, I had to give it three stars because the restaurant was filthy. There were crumbs everywhere and where they were making the bagels looked a little gross. It's faded and tattered and the plastic covering is messed up to the point where the menu is partially covered so I couldn't see the menu item names.
