Einstein Bros is a good, solid choice. I'm not going to rave over how amazing they are, because that's really not it. What they are and have been is consistently good and reliable. There are a few tables now, post COVID, though I think the set up is rather ugly- but everyone is always very friendly and helpful. Came here post-ECT appointment (so yes, I was tired and in need of caffeine) and ordered my usual Chorizo Sunrise on a Green Chile bagel. The green chile bagel is hands-down their MVP--perfect chew, slight heat--and the chorizo adds just enough kick. I went with one egg (you can do one or two, which is a nice option), and it was fresh-cooked, not some sad pre-made patty. Honestly, if they swapped the avocado for salsa, this would be a perfect sandwich. Pro tip for flavor: The jalapeño salsa cream cheese deserves its own fan club. If you like a little tang, this is the one. Service: This visit was... interesting. There was some drama with another customer about being double-charged (paid "one cashier this and another cashier that"), which threw the whole rhythm off. Orders were delayed, a guy left with a refund, and it was a bit of a mess. That said, credit where it's due: the young manager was doing everything he could to hold it together, and the cashier--who seemed to be on the autism spectrum--was genuinely nice and even made another customer laugh. Those little moments matter. Price: Not cheap. My sandwich and coffee were about $13, and the coffee is fine but nothing you'd write home about. But there are a couple hacks: Mobile app: After your first mobile order, your next one gets you a free coffee. Monday deal on app: A dozen bagels for $9. So, yeah--food's tasty but not wallet-friendly. Service felt like a sitcom episode this time, but I think it was just an off morning. Einstein Bros. and I have lost touch over the years. I was recently intrigued by their Farmhouse bagel sandwich. It is an egg, ham, and bacon sandwich with cheddar cheese and a peppery cream cheese on a hash brown bagel. I got one recently via Door Dash during a busy work day, and really enjoyed it. This morning, I was out running some errands before work and decided to stop in. It is really empty and weird in there, and I'm not sure why they aren't allowing indoor dining. Its not like the staff were masked up or taking any other C19 precautions. If I had to guess, it is a cost savings and allows them to operate with fewer people if someone doesn't need to clean/bus tables. It would have been nice to leave a few chairs along the wall for those waiting for their orders, but I didn't have to wait too long. The staff were friendly to me, but rude to each other. One employee rudely berated another for leaving milk on a counter for less than a minute, and another employee was mad about the temperature in the restaurant. It was a bit warm in there, so maybe that is why tensions were high. The cashier was chatty and talking to everyone about the NFL Draft, and it was fun to talk Chiefs with him. My iced chai tea latte wasn't great. I basically paid $5 + tax and tip for a glass of milk on ice. There wasn't much chai tea in the drink at all. The sandwich was better the previous time I got it via Door Dash. This time, there was hardly any pepper cream cheese, and everything was lukewarm or cold. I didn't figure they were cooking the eggs to order, and it looked like they popped it into a microwave or toaster oven for a minute. For $8 + tax and tip, I'd expect a little better. I get to the 135th and Antioch location before they closed and I was told they were already closed when I walked in. 3 employees just stood there and looked at me. if your hours say you're open until 2, you should be serving until at least close to that. everyone shouldn't be standing around with their purses and backpacks at 1:50. i wish I could give 0 stars. read more

The general manager there gave my mother and me, two bagels and smears but without hardly any smear to the point we took pictures lol. Every time I come here, I'm so disappointed. I typically order my food online for pickup and this store is either handing my orders out to other customers, or they screw my order up. I get my bagels toasted, but they're never toasted. What's the point of me selecting it to be toasted if it's just uncooked? Today is the last time i'm coming here. I went into this place to get two bagels with lox to go, there's no seating in the bagel place so it's "to go" I ordered 2 everything bagels toasted with cream cheese and lox. I brought my order home and the bagels weren't toasted and barely had cream cheese, WTH? I paid $14 and this was ridiculous. Of course very little smoked salmon too but I expected that to be the case I won't go back bc there's too many good bagel places around. It's a bagel, but not any bagel - it's an Einstein bagel! I like Einstein bagels overall because they're baked daily in the store. Unfortunately this means that when they run out of a certain kind, they're also out for the day. I think that's where many previous reviewers have run into frustration. True, the employees should be able to anticipate a daily need and balance the usual demand and paid it with weather and anticipated stream of customers for any given day. However, in this case, the early bird gets the bagel - and I don't really see a problem with that. Get up on time you lazy fools (said with a wink, of course), that way you can get whatever bagel your tired little sleepy heart desires. Having that said, a chains perception in the eyes of the public whether it's a good or a bad location really comes down to a few things such as friendliness, attentiveness, and how well they prepare their product. All that boils down to the staff, and the staff here is awesome. I've come here for a number of years and have never gotten anything but good service and a smile. When it comes to the food I think Einstein is the only one who can produce a Lox bagel worth a darn. Once in a while I like to branch out as well and can't really complain about any way this location prepares any other sandwich either. Having some kids playing soccer at the nearby soccer complex, or planning a full day at Deanna Rose? Why not pop in here and get a smile and a bagel before hand? read more

Location is a tad tucked into the corner and isn't convenient for getting to but it's worth it. I love Einstein's Bagels and schmears. The bagels are always fresh but best toasted. The customer service is okay, not the best. I suggest ordering ahead for pickup to avoid any sort of wait. What a disaster! We ordered through Door Dash because the order was so messed up. While we were waiting for a redelivery, my daughter started to pick at her wrong bagel because she was hungry. She finds a 1.5" hair between the bagel top and the cream cheese. As always, that's a disgusting find in any meal. I told her that a new order was on its way and to just hold on. Then she asks if she can have a piece of my (wrong) bagel since she had never tried an Asiago bagel. She broke off a piece and tried a bite & to her horror, she found ANOTHER hair! To make it worse, it was BAKED INTO THE CHEESE AND STICKING OUT!! Barf!! I tried to call the location multiple times to give them the information and tell their bagel-maker to where a hairnet or a hazmat suit or something, because (as if a baked-in hair isn't gross enough!) it looked like a body hair!! Do not go to this location if you plan to sit and eat your food. Even after Covid, they do not allow indoor seating even though there is space for tables. They only have outdoor seating. I came today with my son and it's typical 25mph windy day in Kansas so I asked if I could bring two outside chairs inside to eat our food. They told me it was against their policy and they don't allow dine in seating. I will not return to this location. The store on College and Antioch is near and they have inside seating. read more

Experience was underwhelming. Staff kind enough though super busy but stock limited. They bake fresh daily but few were available when we arrived around 1pm. Pastries limited and not super tasty. Pretty disappointing today. First, when I arrived I ordered a dozen, and went over to pay. Then, I looked around for my bagels - the idiot girl behind the counter had taken the next two or three people's orders rather than slice my bagels and move them forward. So I went backwards to ask for my bagels, she said "oh, wait while I slice them." Effectively moving me three positions backward in line - not a huge deal if I hadn't been in a bit of a hurry, but annoying at the very least. This was my first time at Einstein meeting some friends for breakfast. It was definitely the place to be on a Saturday morning! I ordered a sandwich with bacon, egg, and cheese, and I was pretty overwhelmed because I thought it just came on a plain bagel, but I got to choose any bagel I wanted! It was super tasty on the french toast bagel. I made my sandwich into a meal, but when I got my sandwich, they didn't give me a hash brown, so I had to go back up and get one. I also ordered two bagels to go, and they brought them out on a tray, so my husband had to go up and get a bag to take them home in. The chai tea latte was also pretty good. I could tell that the employees were running all over the place since they were so busy. The dining area was small, and comfortable, but the background music was barely noticeable above the sound of the drink cooler. The price seemed high, but coupons are available. Came for lunch with my husband, liked some things about this place, not too happy with others... so minus two stars from me. LIKED: -The BBQ chicken panini was delicious. I liked the carmelized onions, nice touch! The bread was crispy and the insides were nice and melty. -The Italian chicken panini was also pretty good. Hard to go wrong with pesto, mozzarella and red peppers. DISLIKED: -it was super hot in there! We arrived around 1pm on a Sunday, so I don't think they were still baking anything, but dang, turn on some A/C if you want happy customers. -dirty tables, staff was all over (I counted 4) but no one was greeting or thanking or making any particular effort -price is higher than the food merits Verdict, I would probably come here again (with a coupon) and get the food to go. Without fail, this place is ALWAYS out of everything. This store should be ashamed of how many times they choose to run out of bagels without trying to replace the stock. I've seen pop up airport locations that have better management than this location. Customers walk out constantly due to the lack of selection because the workers are either too lazy to make more, or are being told by management not to make any more (being told at 10am they aren't planning to make anymore when the location closes at 3pm is baffling). Either way it is an issue. Fix this. Hire someone to determine your necessary inventory, to do studies on what sells vs what doesn't. I walked in grabbed a couple drinks from the open fridge I walked up to the register and when it was finally my turn I was told my total would be $19. This is my second visit this week. Sadly, customer service is not what it used to be and good service one day does not mean good service the next. Thankfully, that is not the case with this location! Kate and Ryan are wonderful! My favorite coffee was brewing this morning and I was running late. Kate noticed and offered to let me fill my cup before it was finished brewing since the pot was mostly full. How wonderful is that! Ryan is truly the most friendly person! He answers questions with a smile and engages with EVERY single person that goes through the line. I do not know these people outside Einsteins, but they make you feel like a long time friend.
