Stopped by to grab a bagel and coffee mid day. I got the everything bagel with garden veggie shmear and vanilla hazelnut coffee. Perfectly toasted and smeared bagel and coffee was happily enjoyed out on the patio. Good, quick service and ambiance, and as always, plentiful parking.

Green Chile Bagel vs English Muffin

Stopped in and bought half a dozen bagels Wednesday to take home and toast. The bagels were so thin, it was extremely difficult to slice them. These were some expensive crackers . The flavor of the green chile wafer with schmear was still somewhat on point, and you must respect their commitment to ending over eating and reducing obesity.

Service was fine. Got my nova lox bagel after I asked for no capers and there were a few in there, not sure how that happened. Also they literally put two small onions on it. That's it?

Super duper easy to order on the app and come pickup curbside!

I was super pleasantly surprised by downloading the app, ordering our breakfast, and having it literally ready as we arrived to pick it up curbside. It was quick, easy, delicious, and it took all of what, about 7 minutes total for me to order. I was a few blocks away but I ordered at the gas station, paid through app using my Apple Pay, and when we arrived about 7 minutes later I pulled into the curb side pickup line (there are signs pointing you in the right direction for this - there's also a note and a sign and a number stating if you've waited for longer than 3 minutes to please call). But I arrived, pulled up, and within seconds a lovely gentleman who I presume was smiling even though I couldn't be certain because he was wearing his mask (they also ask you wear a mask at the pickup line) walked out the side door and handed us our treat bag. We were off right away. Was a super quick and pleasant experience and of course our breakfast (I ordered three eggels and a breakfast sandwich) was so delicious. Great experience and great service. Thank you, Einstein's!

    Almost no cream cheese

I ordered 2 bagels this morning in advance for pick up. I waited for my order patiently as they seemed busy. After about 20 mins there was no longer a line so I asked a lady if she could look into my food. She said sorry it's being worked on now. About another 5-10 mins and I got my 2 bagels. Then I get home and realize it's not how I ordered them. I ordered one toasted with cream cheese and it did not come toasted and both had almost no cream cheese. It wasn't worth the money or time. I live so close so it's convenient normally to come here but I won't be coming back.

I usually stop by for bagels for the office which consists of a dozen bagels and two schmear tubs.. perfect breakfast snack for any office (garden or strawberry schmear are the office favorites) On today's visit I stopped in for a sandwich.. went with the tasty turkey.. served on an Asiago bagel with turkey, cucumbers, tomatoes & schmear.. this was a tasty and filling meal.. comes with a pickle spear and side item.. fruit salad, potato salad or chips. Plenty of indoor & outdoor seating .. today's service was fast & friendly.

Baked goods available during my visit.

I went at 9am on a Saturday and it was very busy! My two sandwich order was perfect and every employee was so nice!! I would recommend this location to everyone, just check your order before you leave.

I have to say that it's the best one I've ever had in Arizona, and I've tried many over the past nearly 4 decades. The meat was delish, and it was a good amount. The bread, not a bagel, was larger than typical slices and very good as well. The price was surprisingly reasonable too! The price was nearly the price of a half sandwich that you get elsewhere. The service was great, and when I asked to speak to Sam, she was working the register, hustling to stay on top of all the ordering going on, eager to accommodate everyone. She was truly working to help everyone have a very good experience, and genuinely interested in operating in excellence. She took time to yalk with me and explain their bagel making process, and the quality meats, cheeses and bread she uses. She is all about quality. I'll be back. It's a must try, if you're looking for bagels or excellent corned beef sandwiches. One important note is that they're closed M-W, and only open until 2 the rest of the week. Overall experience was great! Cute little place. Always busy. The staff is very friendly! Leo made my breakfast sandwich and he did such a great job! It was purrfect! Thanks Leo....you are amazing! Walked in and ordered from the screen -- which is fine -- but be prepared to wait longer than expected, even when it's not particularly busy. Tried a bagel with cream cheese, and this is where things really fell off. The bagel itself was large, but the cream cheese didn't resemble anything I've had before -- the texture and taste were off to the point we ended up scraping it off and tossing it. At close to $6, I'd much rather see quality ingredients over quantity. Overall, very disappointing and not something I'd return for. Saluti.

Countless times have I driven here just for there to be a sold out sign in front because they dont give that info on their website, or they dont answer a phone. Finally the nail in the coffin for me was when I walked in on a Saturday morning and was told they cant prepare single bagels w cream cheese on the weekends anymore because theyre too busy while I was literally the only customer in the place. the bagels are great but this place has become too much of a hassle to deal with. I've been here once so far and honestly, I'm not just a fan. I'm an air conditioner! I'll admit that on that Saturday that I came across Don Guerra, I had originally went to another bagel shop that was sold out of bagels two hours before closing. I was disappointed as that place wasn't nearby. But this place, Don Guerra Bagel & Slice, is so close to home that I'm embarrassed to admit I should have came here sooner. - Slice Potato & Onion Pizza Combo ($11.00 - Olive oil, sea salt, mozzarella and parmesan cheese, red onion, potato, rosemary, honey drizzle. Option of salad, chips, or wheatberry salad): We got this with the wheatberry salad and a 20 oz cold brew to wash it down with. As someone who loves a good potato pizza, this one right here... oh my gosh. It even beats another place's potato pizza from a local cidery that I truly love. Get this. GET IT. - Jalapeño bagel with lox cream cheese ($6.00 - 85% whole grain sonoran wheat flour, sourdough leavened and no added sugars or oils): I heard the lox cream cheese was really good with the rosemary and salt bagel by one of the staff members but I couldn't pass up a good jalapeño bagel. And honestly, this bagel was perfection. Had I been in a skirt, it would have flipped over how good it was. - 6 Pack of Jalapeño Bagels ($18.50 - 85% whole grain sonoran wheat flour, sourdough leavened and no added sugars or oils): The bagel I got was so good, I had to order more for the week. I enjoyed the heck out of these for the next few days. - Chiltepin Cream Cheese ($6.50): As soon as I saw "chiltepin," I was sold. A Chiltepin or Bird Pepper, is a wild, hot pepper native to the Americas, often considered the ancestor of cultivated peppers. It's a perennial shrub with small, white flowers and tiny, red, very spicy berries that are dispersed by birds, and it thrives in warm, sunny conditions with well-draining soil. My grandma and parents use to grow them and I didn't realize how good I had it until I tried looking for my own chiltepin plant to grow. I can't find any so I guess I'll just have to come here for some cream cheese. - Chocolate Cherry Loaf ($12.00 - Only sold on Saturday and Sunday): Yum yum YUM!!! There's another local bakery in town that makes a chocolate cherry loaf but it's seasonal to Valentine's Day. Here at Don Guerra's Barrio Bagel & Slice, you can get it all year-long during the weekends. GET IT! - Sourdough Starter ($0.00 - FREE!): I was not a sourdough girlie during the pandemic but I've always been curious. Will this survive? We'll see. They have a helpful laminated sheet that teached you how to take care of your starter. Make sure you take a picture of it if you're attempting to start it. They're open daily from 7 AM-3 PM.
