It took about 20 minutes to receive a clam chowder bread bowl, even though the chowder was already prepared and the bread bowl was already made. Essentially, they just needed to put everything in a bag and hand it over. The food is good, but the service is far too slow for what you're getting. Delicious food, but not worth a 20-minute wait for something that should take just a few minutes.

I'd rate the Peruvian Steak an 8.5/10. The bread was perfectly toasted, the mustard added just the right amount of kick, and all of the flavors complemented each other well. It would have been a perfect 10/10 if one side of the bottom bun hadn't been completely soggy from the mustard spilling out of the sandwich. I ordered my sandwich to go, so if I had waited until I got home to eat it, I think the entire bottom of the sandwich would have been soggy. That was disappointing. For to-go orders, I think Mendocino Farms should automatically serve the mustard in a separate sauce container to help prevent this issue. My other qualm was with the pickup process. When I received the text that my order was ready, it read: "Your order at Mendocino Farms - 10 - UC Irvine is ready for pickup. Please proceed to the counter." Some restaurants have signs explaining whether customers should grab their to-go orders themselves or wait for a team member to assist them. I waited patiently at the counter for several minutes while a team member saw me standing there but didn't acknowledge me. After about five minutes, I finally asked, "Can I grab my order?" The process felt confusing and could have been communicated more clearly. Overall, I thought the sandwich was delicious and a great portion size. However, I think the to-go process could use some improvement. I ended up eating my sandwich in the restaurant because I could already see the bread becoming soggy when I picked it up, which wasn't part of my original plan.

I must admit because of the reviews I almost didn't come here. But I had to try the bagels here because they seem to be the best thing on the menu. Well they got that part right. That's it though. I work in customer service myself, so I couldn't believe how the service was. How are they still open. Corporate needs to do something about this. You need to be a people person for something like this. If you are not then get out. Even when I didn't feel good my customers knew it but I was never rude to them. Ive been to quite a few bagel shops and plenty of Einsteinses and this place is essentially around average and about what you would expect. It may just be an ODD pet peeve of mine, but really how hard is it to actually spread the cream cheese on anything you make. Instead just throwing a giant glob somewhere and it. That being said I do enjoy the bagels themselves, but I think for a bagel andglass of OJ, it shouldn't cost as much as they charge. The OJ doesn't even taste that fresh. I always wondered why this Einstein Bros Bagels got 3-stars from reviewers. I got many times bagels from here and enjoyed it very much. I also hanged out with some of my friends early mornings and liked everything. Today, I stopped by again and everything was OK until I reached the cashier and waited for about ten minutes. I counted the people in the line and it was exactly 18. I could not imagine how long the last person in the line was going to wait. Hi all, I come here every so often on the weekend to pick up half a dozen bagels. Line usually moves quickly and bagels are always fresh. I would recommend getting the bagels only and making any sandwiches yourself as they sometimes skimp on some of the ingredients (mostly the smoked salmon sandwich). Now I had to balance the entire Giant on my lap and it spilled onto the floor. I was greeted right away as I entered - and the friendly staff were pleasant to interact with during my visit. There's all sorts of pastries here - from savory, to sweet - all sorts of flavors and toppings to choose from. They also have a sandwich section offering ready-to-eat choices such as egg salad, tuna, roast beef, among other options. It sorta reminds me of an 85* - and I appreciate that there is one closer to the UCI area, as the nearest 85* is a few miles away over at Diamond Jamboree (in quite possibly, one of the worst parking lots in OC). I already had breakfast, so opted against a pastry, but went for a drink instead. I inquired about the sweetness level of the Korean Iced Milk Coffee - and almost immediately, was offered a sample. It was pleasant - I went with a Large - unfortunately, this coffee drink is premade/premixed, so there wasn't an option to reduce sweetness level or opt for a milk alternative. Plenty of outdoor seating upfront, and plenty of parking. Although its part of the Albertsons shopping center, Paris Baguette sorta has its own sectioned off parking lot that it shares with Habit Grill next door.

I was recently in Irvine and stopped by for a sandwich, and everything was just how I remembered it. There's something so comforting about coming back to a longtime favorite and having it still feel the same. The employees were also very nice and welcoming. If you haven't tried the Italian, I highly recommend it, delicious! I hope this Togo's stays in Heritage Plaza for many more years. The food is always fresh, delicious, and healthy, the prices are fantastic, bathrooms and dining areas spotless and the service is great. But today, Aby took customer service to a whole new level! I ordered a couple of items online and accidentally selected the wrong restaurant location. Completely my mistake! When I arrived to pick up my food, I realized what had happened. Most places would have simply told me to go to the other location, but not Aby. Without hesitation, she immediately reassured me that it was okay, told me not to worry, and offered to have everything freshly made for me right there. She quickly entered my order into the system and even offered me a drink while I waited! If that isn't going above and beyond, I don't know what is! It's rare to come across someone who genuinely cares about making a customer's day better, especially when the mistake wasn't even the restaurant's fault.
