We had a ZERO star experience at this location on a Sunday morning. Absolutely everything went wrong from start to finish: * arrived in person to learn our online order was lost because they prematurely "closed" it out * after reminding them of our order, they did not get it correct * the size of the bagels was laughable; resembled more of cupcakes -- when you're paying $.80 extra for each six cheese bagel (total of 6), you expect to get adequately sized product for the money (see pics) * total lack of customer service; no sense of urgency nor care for accuracy We Will NEVER return to this location. read more

I have been to this location multiple times and each time they do not disappoint me. I love getting their signature sandwich which the one I get is the Santa Fe egg white sandwich and the strawberry cream strudel. I love that they have an app where you can order ahead and earn points on. The customer service is good here at this location. The inside is clean. read more

Today I tried the Texas brisket egg sandwich. The brisket was not overcooked, the bagel is very soft and has cheddar and jalapeño baked in along with a smoky Chipotle aioli that provided a good amount of flavor. I also had a twice-baked hash brown. This was new and different for me. It's made of shredded potatoes, cream cheese and grated cheese all whipped together. Nice little addition to the breakfast sandwich. The restaurant was clean and well lit, plenty of seating, cute light hearted decor. I assume there is wifi but I forgot to ask. There was a gentleman having his breakfast at a table and had his laptop, so again I assume there is free Wi-Fi. The lady taking my order was polite and helpful. I had my order in less than 5 minutes. (I arrived a little before 8am on Friday morning). The bathrooms are on the other side of the Hertz rental desk. I'm not a fan of the parking in front of the establishment. I don't think there is parking in back; if there is not parking might be an issue during busy times. read more

I can't imagine why Einstein's would EVER have a bad review... from the bagels at least. We LOVE Einstein's and so does our cousin and her family. Their Asiago bagel is FIRE and their many flavors... no one can compare. I personally consider Einstein's to be REAL authentic bagels, unlike the one at other bagel shops like Big Apple Bagels or whatever it is. Even the ones at the store just don't even compare, but they will suffice for me. When going out for bagels, it's Einstein or nothing. I pray we never loose ya EB! read more

I don't get often but when I do I always enjoy myself because I get all the good stuff. I'll be honest I was headed to chick fil et, and I realized it was Sunday so I needed to change my plans. I arrived at Einstein's and was happy to see that they are paying attention to social distancing; after I got to the counter, I decided to go with the Salmon and lox, one of my favorite breakfasts. I just love the combination all around. I also got an iced vanilla latte that was very tasty; it was flavorful but not packed full of sugar, which Is essential to me since I don't feel well after a ton of sugar: All around good experience with quick and efficient customer service, and attention to safety. Ordered 3 bagels on Uber Eats and they took about an hour and a half to get here, and they arrived stone cold. The first driver that accepted my order wound up canceling, and the poor guy that accepted it next waited a good 45 minutes and finally got my food delivered. He told me it was "absolutely crazy" in there. So what was the deal? I find it hard to believe everyone and their grandma chose to get Einstein today. So short staffed? Maybe pay your workers more so more people want to work there and thus eliminates that problem? Then, even though it was directly Einstein's problem and not theirs, Uber Eats had the audacity to offer a $9 credit, which is nowhere near acceptable. I have reached out to the website, put in a complaint, and I want this order fully refunded. read more

Einstein's is really the only "fast food" type restaurant I frequent. I like the bagel breakfast sandwiches. I love the deals you get utilizing the app. I happened to be in the Castleton area and decided to give this location a try. I ordered my sandwich (with a discount applied) and my free hot coffee. The hot or iced coffee is free with purchase. I generally get 2 large hot Vanilla Hazelnut. I really enjoy that flavor and that benefit of free coffee. The staff was super friendly and my order took a bit of time but they were very busy. read more

I ordered the whole grain bagel toasted with cream cheese and it was barely warm. The bagel has zero flavor. I took one bite and threw it away. What a huge disappointment and total waste of $5. I don't know why you can't give 1 star on reviews.I am on a very specific diet, a bagel is one thing I treat myself to weekly, but I still have limitation. Because of that I am very specific on how I order and how I accept the bagel. Asiago Cheese bagel, toasted, plain, nothing on it are my exact words to avoid getting plain cream cheese on it. When I receive the bagel from the person making it I repeat the exact same thing to verify. As I walk away I feel the cream cheese slather all over it. No big deal I walk back and then get a rolled eye look and the server basically brow beating me like it was my fault. Just wanted a new one until she makes a comment under her breath. So I say I don't want a new one. Then a second worker, assuming a manager, but hard to know for sure since she had no customer service skills starts getting on me. I just walk out. Should have known when it took 5 minutes to put my order in with 4 employees and 3 customers there at the time. Place was a joke. Update per the manager's request. Actually contacted corporate within an hour of my visit with full details and receipt number. Never heard back. read more

When visiting from the East Coast I always have to stop in my favorite bagel place. Upon arriving there was 15 people waiting for their food and a line. We expected to wait due to it being a Saturday. However, the girl with the green and blue hair was yelling at all her coworkers, yelling about people having to wait, super rude and obnoxious. Many people walked out as a result. As the lady with the face tattoo was taking our order. The other girl yelled at her for taking our order. Once we received our food, it was cold and the meat wasn't even on the bagel. Just plopped into the tin foil. I love the Einstein in Carmel. But this was just unacceptable behavior. Also the lady with the face tattoo was trying to stay positive and encouraging the girl with colored hair to relax and they will get through this. We had an Einsteins back home in Georgia, and ate it religiously! I'm not kidding. I had this place at least 3x a week! I haven't had it in years, so stumbling upon it...you could imagine how excited I was. I always, always got a veg-out. There's something about a toasted bagel, with veggies and hummus. Of you don't like the roasted red peppers, take those out! I love this place because there are so many options and combinations you can do with any of their bagels! Breakfast bagels are popular and so is their coffee! For you morning bagel lovers, they have a 13 bagels for $7 on Mondays! You won't be disappointed! --I also thought they were closed on Saturdays, because yelp lists it as closed, but they were open 5am-4pm! I remember this place back in Georgia, when a cook of mines at my job place brought some out of the ordinary bagels for breakfast in a brown box called Einstein, hmm. I was never a bagel fan til then, along with cream cheese of all sorts. Now I'm older, it just brings the youth back in me. When I'm at home I normally do Thomas bagels blueberry swirl with chives and onion cream cheese topped with eggs, cheese, and turkey sausage. But when I'm in INDY near Castleton, I stop here. Visited on 10/28 with a $6 6 bagels plus cream cheese deal. They had most bagels available although many looked a bit overdone. I got the cinnamon raisin bagel, toasted, but tasted a little too chewy (bagel taste experience 2/5) :/ but after smothering it in strawberry cream cheese, all is well. The cinnamon sugar bagel looked really good, will get that next time. They have good flavored coffees available as well, which is pretty unique. Plenty of space inside to sit and enjoy your meal. I don't understand why Einstein got such a low review while other bagel places in the area rated so high. Einstein is definitely as close to NY style as you can get, although they also leave something to be desired. Another NY style (or so they claim) bagel chain that is very popular is not even close to NY style. I guess people in Indiana don't know what a good bagel is. read more

They NEVER have their bagels fully stocked, and they'll give you attitude for it like it's your fault. Might as well rename this Einstein to Dicks Last Resort bc they will also talk shit about you behind the counter, even the managers. If I could call corporate and complain, I would. The seeming to be manager told me I was rude when I said they have such low amounts of bagels at all times for being a bagel company. She then proceeded to follow me out the building as if she was going to approach me! This location is poorly ran and the staff working here needs to be heavily reviewed. Slow and unenthusiastic service. I made a mobile order that said 15-20 minutes. I showed up 15 minutes. A little earlier. I was optimistic. I stood at the pick up table for 10 minutes until someone noticed me. "Do you have an order?" The worker sorted through the orders until she found my order then slowly made by order - after telling me they were out of every bagel I ordered (Asiago, everything, and green Chile), and my has brown sides. Probably a great stop for breakfast, but I came for a late lunch. Food was good, I didn't know all the variations they offer, the Nutella stuff looked delicious; good music playing, staff did a fair job, but the facility wasn't very clean.
