Asiago toasted bagel wish Shmear...where's the Shmear? I paid extra for Double Shmear. What a joke!

I love Einstein but my order today was highly disappointing. Regret wasting my money ‍ Won't be back. Ordered 2 toasted bagels w/ shmear. Both bagels came as the one pictured! I wish I could give 0 s

Where is the Beef? On this Texas Brisket Bagel and the Jalapeño Bagel it comes on? Awful

Today's lunch consisted of a Texas Brisket Bagel and a Large Blackberry Lemonade. Well, I have ordered this brisket bagel before and was actually looking forward to eating. When it arrived it was a different story. I thought someone had handed me the wrong sandwich because to me it looked like a sausage and egg. When I dissected the sand which what I found on the inside would have shocked you, There was barely any brisket , it was dry, tasteless, the cheese seem like it had been nuked to death. The Jalapeño Cheese Bagel was no where to be found, I don't know what subpar bagel they served this barely there brisket on. I started to call the store with my valid concerns because at this point I felt there wasn't any care put into this sandwich , in fact I was made some substitute make it look good and take this kinda sandwich. I started to call up there because it was a Door Dash order and I cant leave my job for lunch. Funny, I didn't have the fight in me today . On a positive note the blackberry lemonade was delicious and refreshing. Do better Einstein Bros.

Hmmm. No Einsteins downriver so this place was it. 20 minutes later i get my 13 bagels and 2 shmears. I'm used to my regular place on Mack in Grosse Pointe Woods, just 5 minutes away from my previous house (sold it).. So here is a pic of the bagels. Doesn't look like a bagel! But tasted the way a bagel should. Thankfully no surprises. But no hole in the bagels! They're supposed to have holes. What is a donut without a hole? And bagel? Who does that? Cognitive dissonance on a grand scale. Is a hole too much to ask? I don't know how much more i can take. I need order in my life. Errrggghhh. Oh well. The discount from the bagel club makes it all good. I'm fine now. Oh, one other thing. I called in my order for simplicity's sake. I get there and nobody knows anything about it. Upside, my bagels are soon in the box. Other reviews mention same. Hmmmm.

I love Einstein Bagels. I think it's written into my genetic code that I must have at least one Einstein bagel a week to thrive. I come here all the time (as evidenced by my check-ins) and usually get great service. Sometimes it's shoddy but they recently hired a lot of new workers, so I've given them some slack to get everyone up to speed. Einstein's bagels are great! They have a couple dozen to choose from. My favorites are Asiago cheese, honey whole wheat and potato. Jacob goes for pumpernickel or six cheese. If you've never been, it can be expensive, especially if you're used to cheap shitty bagels at other places. You pay more but you're getting a much better product. They use premium whipped cream cheeses (in all different levels of fat; their strawberry is my favorite and it's 25% reduced) and also offer peanut butter, hummus, butter and preserves as spreads as well. If you like saving money, join their e-club. I usually get 2-3 coupons a month with good expiration dates for free bagel+cream cheese when you buy a drink, BOGO lunch sandwiches, free drink with bagel purchase and 25% off your entire purchase (including bagged coffee, if that's your thing). They have ample seats, are definitely kid-friendly and offer tons of menu items to please all sorts of people. If you're vegetarian, the Veg-Out sandwich is a great sandwich my friends always order. They even have pizza bagels. I hardly order them because they're kind of expensive, but I can say they're really delicious and filling. Einstein's also have a pretty extensive coffee drink menu. Jacob loves their specialty coffee like Autumn Roast and Winter Blend, which unfortunately are limited to a couple months a year. He also enjoys Neighborhood Blend, their take on "regular coffee". But Einstein's doesn't do anything "regular", they're all about upping the ante when it comes to premium bagels and coffee.

Early in the morning, this bagel shop finds themselves busy with constant customers in a rush out the door soon after. It's pretty quiet still, even with how hectic it can get. The customer service does need a lot of improvement to achieve maximum guest satisfaction. The food also does need some improvement as the price does not compare if you're food isn't up to par. Overall it was an okay experience, at least it was a very quick trip. I'm likely to return .

This was an awful table to be at in here. We hardly had elbow room or table space, especially after the giant platter sized bread was out with all of the breakfast/ brunch items for half of the table. I ordered the Fazolia. Everyone else got omelets, burgers or wrap items. Yes, a couple of team members weren't keen on ordering Fasolia with scrambled eggs, large Greek salad, 2 lahm sighar (one with potato and one quit eggs), 2 smashed burger, Yemeni scrambled eggs, chicken fajita, Greek skillet, southwest skillet, chicken wrap, coffee, tea without milk, Turkish coffee, mint lemonade refresher. Every team member said their food was good. The scrambled eggs are a tad runny and looked a bit puréed. The fasolia has good flavor and even better with some heat. It came out piping hot. Without the added eggs, this dish would be woefully lacking in substance for me. I would likely still be left hungry with the beans alone, since I don't eat the bread, generally. I tried the bread to give it a go, it's good. The Greek salad is nicely plated or bowled rather. The ingredients are in separate piles and looks like a pinwheel. The red onions were crudely cut. The tomatoes looked wrinkled and not so appealing. The Greek salad was underwhelming for me. The tea doesn't taste good, definitely need some honey, sugar or the milk here, although I favor nothing in my tea.

This place is definitely worth a visit if you are ever in the Detroit area. First things first,…read morethey do not take reservations and they are always on a wait, that should tell you that they are good. We arrived in the middle of a snowstorm on a weekday. It was a Friday though around 11am and, predictably, they had a wait. We had to wait about 30 minutes for a table. It was totally worth the wait. Their ambiance is cute- the hallway is clean, they have bench seating and they put you on the list to get a text, so you could sit in the car if you really wanted to; we did not. They could use a foyer though. It was 22 degrees and snowing so every time the door opened we were instantly freezing. The menu is massive so if you're trying this for the first time and you're from out of town, honey bring as many friends as you can so that you guys can order everything!! Theeeee must have that I tried were the smoked wings. I have never had wings that were smoked and then fried baby they were crispy. They were seasoned to the bone and were delicious. I almost ate them all and had no room for anything else. We also did the berry pancakes which could feed 3-5 people alone; second of all, they're not overly sweet, which is why I did berries and not the peaches or anything like that; and, third of all, the pancakes are the size of your face, but they are fluffy and melt in your mouth! These were easily top two pancakes I've had in my life. We also tried the shrimp and grits, also a 10/10. A generous portion of shrimp, not overcooked and the sauce was bomb. They do put bacon on it if you're not a bacon eater pay attention. I tasted around it anyways but yes, we also tried a vegetarian omelette with home fries. This was just a 7/10 but probably because we only ever tasted it reheated because we were too full to touch it. It was 3 entrees and an appetizer and was definitely enough food to feed a family of seven. This is a must visit place, so if you are in the area and have never been: make time!!!! And take some friends. Each plate is a day's worth of calories!

The place was bustling and I managed to snag one of the last open tables. Fatteh with meat- For the uninitiated, this is akin to a parfait of pure deliciousness. It's a dish constructed in layers, with fried khubz (fried pita chips), meat, toasted nuts, pomagranate ariels, yoghurt, whole tender chickpeas, and hummus. This time, the pita chips were sogy and not crunchy even though we dug in immediately. Otherwise, this dish was flawless. The large size is huge and enough for four people to share. 6 Falafel- They come drizzled with tahini and a touch of spice. They are tender and moist inside, and the outside is fried so that somehow it's maximally crispy without lacerating the inside of your mouth. It's flavorful enough to eat by itself, or dipped in the sauce it comes with or any of the other dips you order. Hummus- This is smooth and topped with whole, tender chickpeas nested in the middle, and a sprinkle of dried herbs. There's not a lot of olive oil that comes with the dish, but there's olive oil provided at the table to help with adjusting the consistency if you desire. This was the perfect consistency and delicious overall. If this was the only hummus available to me for the rest of my life, I would be happy. The bread is commercial pita bread wrapped in a basket at the table, and they give you the usual assortment of vegetables (sliced tomato, onion, pickles, etc) on a plate as well to enjoy with your meal.

It's been a couple of months since then, but we finally decided to visit recently for breakfast. Unlike the Lebanese breakfasts places around Dearborn, this restaurant was pretty empty with only two other tables with patrons. Falafel, 1/2 Doz ($5.99) - The quality is evident in these falafels and you can tell they are made to order. They have a very delicate crisp on the exterior throughout and the interior is more mashed and fine as compared to a typical falafel. It seems like it's purely chickpea, without the addition of herbs. It comes drizzled with tahini and comes with a nice lemony yogurt sauce on the side. The mix of chickpeas and spices is phenomenal - these are some of the best falafels I've had. Spicy Potatoes ($6.99) - A good size portion of pan fried potatoes mixed with cilantro and a small amount of pepper flakes. I wouldn't really call these spicy - there's barely any pepper in it at all. The potatoes are fluffy and come with a yogurt dipping sauce on the side. Fatteh w/ Meat, Large ($16.99) - I'm no expert on the difference between Lebanese and Syrian food, but from what I can tell, this Syrian-style fatteh has pomegranate arils mixed in and is quite a bit less liquidy. This allows the pita chips on the bottom to still retain a nice crunch, unlike how soggy the chips are in the Lebanese fatteh I've had. The dish had a very nice mix of yogurt, giving and tangy taste, and hummus and chickpeas. Then it's topped with a mixture of lamb and beef (it has a bit of a gaminess to it) and toasted cashews. I think this is the best fatteh I've had so far. We actually also ordered a medium hummus as well but they forgot to bring it out. To be honest, though, when we saw the size of the fatteh, we were glad they forgot the hummus! It's huge - between the two of us, we only finished maybe 1/4 of it. On the side, they give you a plate of fresh mint, pickles, onion, and tomato to use as garnish. We also got 4 whole pitas to eat everything with. I would definitely come eat at Shamiat again - in fact, I'd probably rather go here than to AlTayeb, because of the fact that Shamiat is just a whole lot less crowded and is equally delicious. I highly recommend trying out Shamiat if you're in the area.
