I stopped in for the first time today. I wanted some breakfast pastries for my office. The pastries are amazing! I had the chocolate chip cream strawberry pastry. Worth every single calorie! I also got an iced chai latte. Best iced chai latte I have had anywhere (even my own at home). Perfect balance of chai and oat milk. I got a medium and it was quite large. Perfect morning experience. My staff was super excited to see something other than your typical glazed or chocolate donut. The staff here is delightful. The barista was professional and very helpful. The baker waved and said hello. The restaurant was clean, open and very inviting. It is definitely a place I would stop with friends for coffee or sit and relax alone. My husband works near the restaurant and I called him at 7:30 am to tell him he has to visit soon! I stopped at a few other coffee shops this morning. They were not open yet. Today, I came in to check the place out. I was driving through Dearborn on another project and I saw this across the street from the "FORD" garage which is a glorified burger joint that hoists Henry Ford's name. That's another review. Sadly I came in around 5 pm which is late the place was nicely set up but deceiving as a result of how small the shop was compared to the size of the building. I am not sure if they produce mass quantities of products. Some of the parties were pretty to look at. I didn't buy any because it was so late in the day and I know it's would be a little stale by then. So it looks nice, clean, hospitable staff, not really knowledgeable. They do offer cappuccinos and espressos in addition to fresh brewed coffees. Gonna have to set my alarm to get out earlier to try one of these pastries fresh! read more

We stopped in on a Sunday evening around 5pm. Plenty of items were sold out but luckily we have a lot of options. We opted for the crookie- a set of three croissants that were connected and filled with chocolate chip cookies. It was delicious! We also went with a strawberry lemon filled mini croissant and it was light and refreshing we spend about $13 on both desserts which seemed a little high but the quality was there. The cakes and pastries in the cooler were calling our names but we were too full to indulge. The bakery has a lot of offerings between French and Korean treats. There was one case when savory options that I would love to try the next time we come. I recommend coming a little earlier as things were sold out. Paris Baguette has a variety of decadent desserts. The pricing is on the higher end for the cakes, but presentation is amazing. You can find a variety of pantries, savory items and beautiful cakes. Service was okay. Nothing bad to say nor anything stellar that stood out from a service standpoint. The cafe was very clean with ample seating. They have a vast schedule opening early and closing at 11pm nightly. If you are a fan then sign up for their rewards program. I've been a few times, and also ordered through Doordash. Everything is always delicious. It's very busy on the weekend and sort of hard to get a table, especially if there are more than 2 ppl in your party. It's a very fun experience, you grab a tray and tongs and visit all of the beautiful cases of treats and choose what you want. Then you take it to the cashier, where you can order drinks, like coffee. There seemed to be an employee restocking the cases pretty regularly. I've purchased croissants including the strawberry, almond and chocolate, all were delicious. They also sell cake by the slice, I've tried the chocolate ganache and the chocolate chiffon cakes. They're very good, beautiful and packaged well. They also sell whole cakes. They sell baguettes and sliced breads. I didn't try any, but I'd like to. This place impressed me immediately with lots of parking and being easily accessible to get inside. Things like having clean floors and a clean area inside with plenty of seating, even though they seemed busy. What did not impress me was the system of having a tray in tongs where children are involved. Through no fault of their own, I brought my three young children with me, and let them choose what they would like. My children chose to fill up their trays with donuts and sweet treats that cost about six dollars each. I couldn't say no to macarons as well, and with the addition of trendy drinks like multiple matchas and pistachio lattes, we were quickly saying goodbye to a Benjamin Franklin. On the bright side, I took the mom tax of most things and everything actually did taste delicious. The place was clean and the customer service was good too. All of the cashiers were quite young, but they were quick to be helpful. And they did not get annoyed at questions, which most places around here do. They had water cups for us to get, but the cups were quite small. If that's my only complaint, you can bet that this place is worth a visit. read more

This is a beautiful place. When you walk in the door you immediately see a case with several pastries that look very tasty and almost like art. This is a self service pastry place. You grab a tray and tongs then add the items you want to your tray. I was purchasing for a group so keeping things separated was a little challenging on one tray. But I managed the best that I could. There's a large variety of pastries some with cheeses, other fillings including meat & seafood, as well as traditional pastries. Once I filled my tray I went to the counter where the cashier boxed the pastries and made the latte that I ordered. The latte was very strong but I enjoyed it. My friends and family enjoyed the pastries. The pastries do add up quickly when you're buying for a group. But as a special treat they are well worth it. Will definitely go back. read more

Oh Paris Baguette, I'll never be satisfied until I try all you have to offer. I've been reflecting on how and why this place takes all my money, and I think it begins outside. It's a gray Michigan afternoon. I am right across the street from the Dearborn train station, but this brightly lit blue and white tiled oasis tells a different story. I'm actually inside some fantasy version of a European train station. The display cases look like a dream, each pastry more seductive than the last! The only trip I'm taking today is from stressed to more stressed, but not here. In my fantasy, I'm taking a posh respite from romping around the continent. Per my previous reviews, the jury is still out on the coffee for me. Tried something different today with a sweet and creamy almond milk iced matcha latte, a separate shot of espresso, a pineapple brûléed pastry, and a crab meat croquette. They were out of soy milk, but the almond made for a fine substitute. I'll just have to try the soy matcha next time! Of those, I would recommend the matcha latte and the crab cake croquette. DO NOT FEAR the crab meat croquette- if you're a fan of crab Rangoon, you will love this. The bread itself has the nearly undetectable sweetness of a croissant, but the texture is more like a good slice of white bread crossed with a fluffy pocket pita. Then, it's fried. I mean you could stuff this bread with anything and be over the moon. The filling is a creamy, ever so slightly sweet crab mix. Liking deviled eggs is another indication of whether or not you would enjoy the crab meat croquette. The grilled pineapple and sweet custard on a brûlée tart was fun: tangy, sweet, and creamy, HOWEVER, I did not love the mouthfeel. The bun ended up being very sticky, and I didn't like that texture on my teeth. Chewy and sticky... I get annoyed by candy that feels this way too. Others may love it, who am I!? Lastly, I need to shout out the staff. This place is always packed, yet the employees don't give you that stressed, hurried impression that raises customer cortisol levels. They're jolly and quick, so I love them for that! It's consistently clean. I didn't love getting bumped with the vacuum and the loud noise it made in this already boisterous room, but really if it's always busy and we want a clean place there's no room to complain. I don't have much of a sweet tooth but I am a big fan of Paris Baguette sandwiches, and the Dearborn location has a large variety of sandwiches. I visited Paris Baguette on Friday, March 20th around 9:30 PM with a few friends, and unfortunately had a very unpleasant experience. Although there wasn't much left in the display cases which we completely understood since it was late we came in mainly for drinks and expected a normal, welcoming atmosphere. When we walked in, neither of the two employees greeted us, which immediately felt uninviting. As we were looking over the remaining options and taking a moment to decide what everyone wanted, I overheard the cashier, Zee, say "I'm not dealing with this," while looking in our direction and speaking in a way that clearly seemed directed at me and my friends. It made us feel uncomfortable and unwelcome, especially since we weren't being disruptive in any way. I don't know if she was annoyed that we were kinda taking long to decide or what but that gives her no excuse to act that way. When we went up to order our drinks and a donut, the interaction continued to feel cold and dismissive. Customer service plays a huge role in any café experience, and this interaction completely took away from what should have been a simple, enjoyable visit. She was so rude that I don't even wanna go back there especially if she is working. I then went up after my friends to get one last thing and she was so rude and not even a single word came out of her mouth. I hope management takes this seriously, because she shouldn't be behind the counter helping customers if she is gonna act that way. read more

Hubby and I are having been chasing Patisseries in our neck of the woods to find the best croissants. Well, I think we hit jackpot with Paris Baguettes in Dearborn ( on Michigan Ave across from Ford's Garage--I'll post review in them too). When I tell you Paris Baguettes is absolutely yummy! Once again, hubby had to pull me back, my tray was overflowing with yummy goodness! You walk into the spot and you are presented with wonderful treats that you can stroll and help yourself to. Tongs and a tray are provided to stop at each dessert case and select your hearts desire! Super convenient for me( I was trying to put a dent in Hubby's wallet). Love the serve yourself concept. Quaint spot, wonderful pastry selection, although a little pricey... but it's ok, this was hubby's treat( though he did push me to the register before I could snatch up more beautiful goodies). I made it out with two almond croissants, a chocolate croissant, a croissant covered with chocolate, a raisin spiral treat( so buttery flaky and good), and a curry bun( different)- think it was $40-45 . To keep things nice and straight to the point, this place is just fine. I've been to quite a few patisseries in my life and there is a certain charm to them you can't replicate with other bakeries. This particular business is nice and elegant as expected, but I didn't find the pastries to be out of this world or ground breaking in any way. It didn't help that most of the items were gone by the time I got there so the selection was limited. In a region full of serve-yourself pastry joints, this is another one. It's okay. Some of the pastries and foods are delectable and are totally worth getting. Others are awful and not worth half of what I paid for them. For the most part, it doesn't seem to be a matter of quality but of style. Some of what they make here is bland or plain by design and it's important to remember that. The coffee is bleugh. I've tried four different types of drinks here and I couldn't even finish drinking two of them. Dearborn is full of way better coffee shops just a few blocks down the road. With such steep competition and having not even been open for a year yet, you'd think this place would be on its best standing. You'd have thought wrong. On that suggestion, you can get plenty of great pastries just across the street at Westborn Market, and probably for way cheaper. So, unless you NEED a mochi donut or crepe cake slice - both of which are worth trying at least once in your life - there's really no point in coming here, especially not when in this city. Service is cool. You come here twice and the workers act like they've known you forever which makes being here quite amiable. Nothing to really say about the shop itself. It just kind of exists. Amazing. Party in the mouth. Addictive. I found this place when googling "cronuts" in the area because I had been hearing of this concept (croissant donuts) for several years and figured I needed to try them. I live 25 minutes away but was in the area for an appt so I popped in and couldn't believe my eyes because I literally dream about baked goods every few months (I know this is totally weird, I can't even explain it other than to say that baked goods from quality bakeries are my kryptonite!) and this looked just like the amazing spread of baked goods I see in my dreams! It was beautiful, smelled amazing, and was nice and clean. I bought 2 croissant donuts (coffee and lemon flavors) and a coffee frappe. The frappe was really tasty, it had a nice strong coffee flavor but was balanced w/ sweetness. I got a small but it felt more like a medium, it was a generous size, IMO. I intended to take just a bite of the coffee donut in the car but couldn't stop until I finished it right there. It was SO AMAZING, 10/10!!! I'm a donut FIEND but this is next level! It has a slight crunch on the outside but is tender and flaky in the middle. I don't normally like cream-filled donuts but this cream is high quality and perfectly complements the vessel it comes in. Each bite just multiplied all the endorphins and dopamine released into my bloodstream! I knew my life was changed forever after that experience! That night, I went to wrap up the lemon donut to keep it fresh and again, intended to take just a bite to get a little taste of it, but I couldn't stop myself until I finished the whole thing. I'm not really partial to lemon flavors but this is really subtle and light & fresh tasting. I have since tried the Nutella croissant donut as well and while all 3 flavors are so amazing, I think I prefer the lemon the most, which is a huge surprise! I was also surprised to see a decent selection of sandwiches too; I plan to meet up with some friends for lunch (there's a pesto chicken on a baguette that is calling my name!) and introduce them to these amazing pastries while I am there. I tried the chocolate ganache cake slice today, it was good but not other-worldly like the donuts but I do plan to try the other cake options over time. As I said, I live 25 min away one way and I've been back 2 more times in the span of about 3 weeks. Their app provides a lot of special offers to lure you back in so I recommend you download that if you think you'll be a repeat customer. Prices are a little high but the quality is so good that you feel like you are treating yourself to luxury so it's worth a premium price (and those app offers can help too!) but I think they are comparable in price with other specialty bakeries. Staff is always pleasant and I had the opportunity to talk to the owner today who was a pleasure to chat with. There's always a steady stream of customers so I hope that's a sign this business will be thriving for many years to come. Tip: they will stack your croissant donuts on top of each other (separated by wax paper) in the box when you check out if you buy more than 2; you do NOT want that because the frosting on top will come completely off when you remove the wax paper. Disappointing. I went there for my birthday, and we ordered four different slices of cakes and shared them. Three of them were dry, and the fourth had little flavor. None of them were worth finishing or even having a second bite of. The service was good though. The attendent was friendly and gave recommendations noting a different cake was usually dry. Today my son and I were out to do some quick shopping. We thought it would be nice to stop and get a hot cup of coffee and dessert. My son suggested that we try Paris Baguette. We walked into the shop, and we were greeted with the most wonderful smells. The selection of desserts offered are unbelievable. You will have a difficult time choosing what to order. My son and I ordered the pumpkin pastry, and it was fresh, moist and absolutely delicious. We went to the counter to order our coffees and to pay. We sat down in the small cozy room to enjoy our food The coffees were very strong. I don't think adding more cream or sugar would have helped. If you like strong coffee, then you might enjoy. We wanted a treat and coffee after dinner and my sister mentioned this patisserie so we went to see if it was open. It was, and it was hopping at almost 8pm on a Friday night. There is a covered pastry case as you walk in, with sliding doors to take your pick of about 25 different delights. You first need to get a tray in the front corner, put a wax paper liner on it and grab a pair of tongs for you to serve yourself. Then the hard part begins because you'll want one of each! The pastries are marked by little signs which also includes the price, one price I noted was about $4 but many of the pastries are large enough to share up to 3 people to get a satisfying taste. There were baked goods and snacks like a ham and cheese croissant in another case along the wall. A refrigerated self serve case had beverages and also premade sandwiches, that I saw from afar only. They had cakes in a small case and sold bags of coffee, the Italian brand Lavazza, which is what they also serve in a menu of hot/ cold beverages. Cute black and white tiles floor with bistro type tables. I didn't look around as much as I usually do because it was so busy I was just trying to see the selection, weasel my way in to get it so we could take home and enjoy. I was Very pleased to know their hours are from 7am - 12 midnight daily! I could grab a coffee before work in the future. The staff behind the counter were timely in ringing up orders and keeping lines/ wait to a minimum in a pleasant/ professional manner.
