BAB moved into a new location recently and parking is a little difficult. There's a small lot behind the new strip mall and a little bit of street parking. I went around 3pm on a Saturday and had trouble parking, I can't imagine how much of a pain it is when you stop in during peak breakfast hours. That said! The selection of bagels so late in the afternoon wasn't great but at least they had cheddar bagels in stock. These bagels are BIG! I ordered a basic bagel sandwich and it was $8, my husband got a deluxe bagel sammie and it was $8.50, so prices are very fair. Chip selection was a bit disappointing -- they only had jalapeno and salt & vinegar available, boo. We skipped chips and got a couple drinks and our total was around $23. We took a seat in the clean dining area and our food was up, exactly as ordered, within five minutes. Service was friendly and efficient. The cashier and all staff working were chatty and personable. When I asked for a bag for our leftover half-sandwiches, the cashier insisted we hand over our sammies and he wrapped them for us. Stopped by this place for the first time today. I was super hungry and craving a bagel sandwich. I got their turkey club on an everything bagel and a Boston cream pie muffin. They were both soooo good. The bagel hit the spot, super quick and delicious. All their meats are halal also, which was really nice. I was able to order off of the menu comfortably and not worry about my dietary restrictions. The Boston cream pie muffin was sooo good. The custard to muffin ratio inside was perfection. Not too sweet and very very satisfying. Will probably be here every single day for the next month just for the muffin, so needless to say, I will be back. read more

I love these bagels. I was happy to find a location when leaving the airport. Stopped in with my husband to a warm "good morning" and "happy Father's Day." So I remembered my mom used to bring me bagels as a kid from Big Apple Bagels in Chicago. It was always the same kind every time and they were my favorite. Unfortunately, they closed, so I haven't had one in years. As I'm driving down the street in Dearborn, I see the Big Apple sign. So I pulled over in dairy queen, and walked over to big apple. With only a few bagels available, I wasn't sure which bagel was the one my mom used to buy for me. After calling her with excitement, she told me the exact bagel type and I bought the last two of that kind. Just smelling the bag of bagels brought instant joy to my heart. Honestly I was so happy with my purchase, that I really couldn't focus on anything else. But I do remember the staff member telling me that this location was the closest in a 20 mile radius and they make their bagels fresh every morning. I'm praying these bagels are exactly how I remember them tasting. If so, I'll certainly be back. read more

So I was a little disappointed when I received my breakfast sandwich. I ordered via UberEats to try it out so I ordered what I would normally get at another Big Apple Bagel, Breakfast BLT. When it arrived I realized this location uses turkey bacon instead or pork bacon. This is fine, but I wish that would have been stated on the menu. I understand that locationally why they use of turkey bacon instead of pork, but I would have liked to know before I spent money on it. Maybe just update the menu for future customers. The BEST bagels in town and I have had a LOT of bagels (not just in the area). They make bagels in house and they're perfect! We went for a coffee break this morning and were happily in the area. The coffee is smooth and the to-go lids are the best of any I know of. To me that is important. Some are way too brittle with tabs that won't stay open. Others spill and leak easily. More importantly, the food products are first rate. Real bagels that could be a meal by themselves and very moist, large, and unique muffins. I had a BLT breakfast sandwich on a sesame bagel lightly toasted. It was with Canadian bacon and a schemer of cream cheese instead of mayo. Very very good. The service was fast and organized. And the restaurant seemed clean. Give Big Apple Bagels a try.
