Chase Bakery is the kind of place where if you blink, you'll miss it. My advice? Don't blink. Outdoor dining is a nice touch.

Chase Bakery is the kind of place where if you blink, you'll miss it. My advice? Don't blink. I decided to order what I usually order for lunch at Middle Eastern restaurants: chicken Shawarma wrap. Yes, that's right, I did say restaurant: even though this call the bakery, there are so many excellent, restaurant quality foods here that it's hard for me to just call it a bakery. Anyway, the chicken Shawarma wrap was excellent. But, while I was waiting for it, I was offered a free mini spinach pie. Spinach pies are normally tasty, but rather safe from a flavor standpoint. But, not this one. I took one bite, and it exploded with all the awesomeness of the best middle eastern seasonings. I immediately bought a dozen of them. I didn't want to eat much - despite all the food I ended up ordering - so I got a salad. It doesn't look like anything special, but the dressing is like eating tabouli. Awesome. I've attached a photo of the menu: as you can see, the prices are extremely reasonable. And, there is seating available indoors and outdoors. It was a nice day, so I ate outside. Like I said, if you're driving past this place, don't blink. Stop in. You'll be glad you did.

Side Chic's blows them out of the water along with every other spot in Detroit/Dearborn (Savvy Sliders, Checkers, KFC, Chic Fil A, Chick N Kingz etc.) The breading on the tenders is very, very flavorful. They also put the perfect amount of breading on each tender. I absolutely hate overbreaded tenders where it feels like you're chewing through multiple layers till you hit chicken. Side Chic's avoids this completely by having a nice layer of breading that adds flavor and doesn't distract from the chicken. The chicken itself is hot, juicy and well textured. This is not rubbery, dry chicken. The only other way I can describe it is it just tastes fresh. I was thoroughly impressed. Side Chic's is a carry out spot that's open very, very late (which is awesome). Everyone who works there is incredibly pleasant and helpful. Also, even though the chicken is fresh and made to order, your food comes out in a fairly quick manner. I really can't say enough good things about Side Chic's. Best Chicken Tenders I've had in the Detroit/Dearborn area!

I came recently and the fries, fried pickles, and sauces were all great! The chicken was still okay, but not seasoned the same way as before. Still moist and tender tho. There's was oil all over the boxes though and staining like a seventh (or 14-18%) of the paper bag. That's a lot. The box was dripping oil. Tasted great other than comparing the chicken to the first time. i'm confused about the lack of reviews. I'm thinking I have the wrong page...

The interior decor is nice, it obviously car themed hence the name. They have 2 bars and plenty of tables to accommodate large parties. I opted for a turkey burger with green beans to keep things healthy. I enjoyed both. The waitress mentioned the green beans are crunchy but that's the way I like them. I suppose if you like yours a bit more cooked, then ask to have them sautéed longer but I liked them how they were. I heard so many good things about this place so I was happy to finally stop by. I can't wait to come back. They also have a location in Utica now.

Today's food is perfect. We had a burger bowl that was - to me - like a deconstructed burger; another person had the fish and chips that were good and served crisp and hot; and another had the meatloaf and it was served with brown gravy and two sides. Two points that knocked down the score bar service was tooooo slow. I was going to have a second beer and by the time waitress came to apologize about long delay and frustration with bar service, I told her to cancel it. Second, the waitress had to be reminded to bring drink refills after we asked for them. She apologized and got them right away. But, it added to our frustration of delays. No matter my two points, I do recommend this restaurant. Usually, service is better and the burgers are GREAT!

The Fajita Sub was loaded with chicken, cheese, and toppings and was solid. The crispy bread had a satisfying crunch and the flavors were bold and tasty. The chicken tenders, albeit frozen, were actually very well fried and seasoned. They even gave us extra tenders in our order for free as well as a free water! On top of that, for no extra charge the order came with many different tasty sauces to choose from. Zaghloul is affordable and tasty with people who put the customer first!

Unfortunately the location in…read moreDearborn Heights just isn't somewhere I go very often so it's been stuck on my list for the longest time. They opened a second branch in East Dearborn recently which finally allowed me to give the subs a try. The restaurant itself is quite small and is mostly a takeout destination. There are only 14 seats in the small dining room, a small fridge stocked with drinks, and the order counter, from which you can see the kitchen. I went in on a very empty weekday lunch and got one item, which took about 10 minutes to come out: Lebanese Sub, Half ($8.99) - They toast this sub well, resulting in a very nice crunch on the exterior. Just be careful eating it - you can pretty easily lacerate your gums if you're not careful! The interior is moist for the most part, with a bit of a mild garlic and mayo mixture that covers all the ingredients. There's a double layer of grilled chicken breast that forms a base layer, followed by some fries that are crunchy on the exterior and fluffy on the interior, and finally a layer of crunchy and acidic pickles. The chicken is the weakest part of the dish - some pieces are overcooked, dry, and tough. It's most noticeable in the thickest areas where there's not enough mayo/garlic to add moisture to the sandwich. Still, overall I found the sub to be good and the ingredients all complemented each other well. Note: The little red tray that they served the sub in smelled heavily of bleach and my first couple of bites had a slight whiff of bleach thanks to that. If you eat here, I would recommend removing the food from the tray before eating. Zaghloul Subs is definitely worth a try.

Michigan weather would make me want this type of soup on a regular basis. The garlic sauce is a thick dip that was great for dipping the falafel and the fries. You have the option to get your fries seasoned- do that! It has a little spice but it's perfect. The falafel was perfectly cooked. Not too dry with a little crunch. I would definitely order those on each visit. The sandwich was filling and stuffed full of perfectly seasoned chicken. The garlic dip and pickles were spread throughout the inside of the sandwich as well. The thin bread was both soft and crisp. We ended with a hot black tea with cardamom. It was a great way to finish the meal. Although it is not a profile I am used to, I enjoyed it. The service was top tier! The young man was so friendly and polite.
