Amazing breakfast selection & really busy Sunday morning. Portions are huge so consider splitting something if you are light eaters. I opted for the Toasted coconut mango & strawberry crepe (crepes or waffles tend to be lighter fare than a large stack of pancakes). It was very good but the fresh mango wasn't very ripe. Still if you want fresh fruit with your breakfast this place has some great options - my fresh fruit skewer was great, sweet pineapple but my wife needed a new skewer as her pineapple was not ripe. Coming to Eggstasy is always great. I've visited the Phoenix location twice now, but there are restaurants in Scottsdale, Mesa and Chandler as well. They also have outdoor seating and plenty of tables. I went with the Strawberry and OJ mimosa ($9) which was super tasty! Before you know it you'll need another one because you can down one of these fast. For food I ordered the two eggs, that come with hash browns or fruit, and then your choice of pancakes or toast. I went with the hash browns/cinnamon roll pancakes. There was also a choice of bacon or sausage in which I picked sausage links. It's typically only $12.95 but there was an up charge since I ordered my the cinnamon roll pancakes. Everything tasted amazing! It was the nice combination of both sweet and savory. I have never had a bad experience here. I love the shirts that the servers wear, it feels clean and bright. It's always busy but it feels comfortable inside. I've tried so many breakfast items - I would suggest it all. They have great healthy options for those of us who are picky eaters. Today, I did have the Turkey burger and I didn't love it. Solid brunch option! My party of 3 was seated immediately on a weekday morning. Service was excellent; we must've gotten our food in 5-10 minutes because it was like right after we ordered. I ordered the Smoked Salmon omelette with hashbrowns and upgraded to a side of specialty pancakes for $3 (without upgrade you can get toast or regular pancakes). The omelette was nice and fluffy, but a tad too salty for me. It had smoked salmon, mascarpone cheese, and chives. The hashbrowns were crispy on the outside and inside the potatoes were still moist and soft. Loved them! For the specialty pancakes, I chose the Raspberry White Chocolate Creme Brulee pancakes. I ordered the Gypsy Steak skillet which not inly made it out to me in about five minutes, was cooked PERFECTLY! The steak precisely how I ordered it. Lovely. But what made me happiest was Scott. As a new I guy, I was curious how he would work situations that came his way. He was attentive to ALL of his bar patrons, had a gleaming smile the entire time, and was just a pleasure to talk to. Another employee came around to show him how to refill something behind the bar and I watch him actively engaging in the process of learning. I went monday around 11 with my boyfriend and a friend, when we got there we waited like 10 minutes for the server to come up to us and when she did she didn't even introduce herself nor even smiled. Our server was this older lady, again didn't get her name because she didn't introduce herself. After we placed our order she only came up to us twice, to drop the food off and check us out. When we were ready to check out we waiting around another 10 minutes just to find her. Once we did flag her down she took the card and walked around with it, it took her so damn long to come back and come to find out she charged us twice. I wouldn't give it a star if I didn't have to. Horrible all the way around. Walked in 40 minutes before closing. The man that seated us walked up to us looking at his watch. Should have left at that point. Told him we were in for a quick bite and wouldn't be long. Food took a while even though not busy. My friend's toast didn't come until she was almost done with her omelet. My benedict did not have poached eggs - yolk was too done. Hash brown were old and looked like what they scrape off when cleaning the grill. Waitress finally came by too late to have things fixed. She took the plates and never offered to have me order something else. AND charged me. THE FLIES!! All over the kitchen and dining area. Fighting them thru the whole meal. Waitress told us the owner would not allow them to close the doors to the patio. On our way out, the manager or owner was at the front. We said something to him about the food and the flies. But the service at the bar left a bad taste in my mouth. The older gentleman working there was noticeably unfriendly. We walked to the hostess and gave our name and party size and then she continued to say "oh I don't think I can take your name down" in an incredibly snotty way with pure attitude. The hostess just ignores us, says nothing else to us and then she commences to take the names and party sizes of everyone else behind me. 5 groups are helped as we just stand there and she continues to talk around us. They said reservation was for one week later. I am only in Phoenix on this particular day so why would I make it for next week. And the confirmation e mail has no date, time, or location on it. Mu family and i got 3 types of pancakes, sunrise breakfast sandwich, carnitas omelette, and the chicken and waffles. Addressing the items i tried personally... Pancakes, are there are so many flavors! We got the blueberry lemon ricotta, the buttermilk, and the plain (side add-on order). The lemon ricotta and plain had good flavor, but they were a little dry. The buttermilk was oook, but it had the best texture. I'd be willing to go back and give these a try when they're fresh! The breakfast sandwich was really good. I asked for cheddar instead of Swiss, but the kitchen didn't deliver unfortunately. I'd get this and ask for cheddar again. IMO, I think it would taste better. I got these with a side of hash browns and those were mushy and bland. Again, maybe something they would be better fresh and hopefully crispy! Fingers crossed this was a case of not-great-as takeout. I am visiting the area and my family recommended I try this place. We went on Easter Sunday around late brunch. The wait was about 45 minutes and they were pretty packed. The wait didn't feel too long as we walked around the shops/stores. We sat at a four top and was immediately greeted by our server, she took our drink order and promptly came back with waters and our drinks. We were ready to order! My mom and I shared the red velvet pancakes and the traditional Benedict. I personally thought the pancakes themselves were quite dry even being topped with all the goodness on top. They didn't have a strong red velvet taste either but a few chocolate chips inside. Kind of wish I went for the crepes the table next to us got. I'll get them next time. The eggs Benedict was fairly good. The hollandaise sauce was really yummy! And can't go wrong with the English muffin. The ham slice was so massive it was almost too much for us. I'm not into thick cut ham like that and my mom and I both ended up taking it off. Totally preference! If it was slightly thinner, I think it would have been great. The proportion was just too large. One of the eggs was perfectly cooked while the other was overcooked. The hashbrowns had a nice crush on the top layer but the underneath needed a few more minutes, they were not quite soft enough. My brother order the fried chicken and waffles and said it was good but the gravy underneath the egg soaked so quickly into the waffle he didn't get a chance to get to the waffle before it was soggy. He said next time he would get the chicken and gravy separate from the eggs and waffle. I tried his hashbrowns and they were cooked well. The last thing we had was the side of maple sausage patties and let me say, this was my favorite thing on the table. They were almost like small hamburger patties and they had that perfect breakfast sausage taste you want. I would definitely order these again. For a drink I got an iced latte and it was as expected. This place was busy. It was like 9:30 on a Saturday morning and a 35-45 min wait. The interior was pretty cute. It looked very clean which was nice. The restroom situation was odd though. They had 3 individual restrooms but the sinks were outside of the "toilet rooms". Literally it was a toilet changing table and garbage. However, the restrooms had ample room in them if you had to bring in a stroller so that was good. If I was sitting near the restroom I'd probably be judging anyone who didn't wash their hands upon exiting. Food was okay. A jammy egg on top of a lightly garlic super smooth potato mash with a little pepper & Parmesan cheese. It had a crisp prosciutto which I liked very much. However the actual potato purée was kind of bland for my tastes. Texturally it was fine. There was a mix of textures with the smooth purée, crispy prosciutto, jammy egg, and some chives with the toasts that had a nice chew to the bread. I really liked the bread. I ordered a side of hashbrowns bc I thought I'd be hungry still but I didn't even make it through the egg/potato purée. They were unimpressive. They looked crisp but were kinda mush. I took them home and crisped them up later. I had an iced vanilla latte with almond milk. They also have oatmilk for their non-dairy options. It was very good. I would definitely have another one. The coffee flavor was not very acidic, which was good, very smooth, mild flavor. Kiddo had the chocolate chip pancakes. They were huge. She said they were good. ‼ Okay! Now that's service! We planned to come here to try the new location but each time we didn't make it here. Sunday we made it. We have been going to the Scottsdale location for a while. We didn't realize it was closing soon when we ordered. Everyone was friendly and our food came quick. As we looked around they were clearing and cleaning to close so we felt bad for coming late but they never showed it as an issue once. Our food was outstanding truly. I ordered the egg white scramble added chicken sausage and Monterey jack cheese which came with a muffin and fruit. This was truly the best muffin I'd ever had as muffins can be just meh most of the time. No this muffin was fluffy and delicious and I will never see muffins the same again lol. We were seated pretty quickly within arrival and when you are 1st handed the menu you might get overwhelmed because it's huge, like cheesecake factory huge haha. I knew I was in the mood for benedicts and that's what part of the menu I went for. After checking the selection out I went with the barbacoa benedicts, It comes with hash browns or fruit, I went for the hash browns. The benedicts were ok, just lacking in flavor. I love the tanginess of hollandaise sauce, and this was just sauce no flavor and the barbacoa beef while tender was missing the flavor as well. So not the best I've had, but ok.
