Green Discharge - The Morning manager when called back was quite rude IMO - If you are Reading this please be cautious of sick servers for several days at this location - our female server had green discharge DROPPING out her nose onto the table and everywhere else! it was and it is quite disturbing. We asked for new glasses and dishes once another waitress took over. The Manager shook it off as due to HIPA the restaurant cannot do anything about it. This place was amazing !!!!!!!!!! The wait was a little long, but well worth the wait. I had the ham and gyreure omelette and added mushrooms. The sectioning are massive !!!! My husband had the corn beef and hash it was phenomenal and came with two pancakes!!!! We both had the fresh press juices and they are soooooo yummy. I had the orange and Apple juices so amazing !!!! I ordered an omelet and got a somewhat under cooked lump of scrambled eggs instead. The fruit is not fresh and the syrup looks brown in the serving container but if you look at the knife is mostly clear plus has very little flavor like they added corn syrup to it. so me and My Wife went in for a late brunch because we both have to take a lunch a little later than usual during our work hours we got in around 1:15 we ordered our food. Everything was going good until I'm assume he's the manager bald guy with glasses maybe foreign it was very rude and was kind of trying to rush us because he did make a comment about how they close at two I've never felt so rushed a day in my life. I usually eat at the location of of Gilbert Road. There are a lot more friendly over there. We were in the area and it was kind of the last spot that we could go to. I understand we got in a little bit later the food was great, but just the service was really bad and it all do with that one man I don't know if his name was or but he wasn't very friendly. My husband and I wanted to try this place and it was over 20 mins away but we decided to give it a try. We got there around 9am and luckily got seated right away. The tables are packed like sardines in this place, our table was only separated by about 8 inches from the people next to us. This next item might be an inconsequential gripe, but the backs of the seats are rounded at the top so I could not hang my purse up and had to keep it on my lap which was a little awkward trying to eat that way. Our server was pretty basic, she wasn't all that friendly or attentive, she never checked up on us after we got our food to make sure we liked everything. My husband got the corned beef and hash which he liked. He also got the pancakes but they were dry. I ordered the crepes with scrambled eggs, ham, and cheese. I was expecting the crepes to be stuffed with the scramble but the crepes were all folded on the bottom with the scrambled stuff plopped on top. Not a huge deal. But again, it all tasted pretty basic, I was not blown away. The portion size was large though which was nice, but the crepes had a taste of stale canola oil which turned me off. When it was time to get our check, our server just placed it on the table without saying anything and walked away. But she did say thank you when she picked the check up, but it sounded pretty flat and lifeless. All in all we were disappointed. We arrived for breakfast this morning at 8:00, we were excited to walk in and not find a long line. There were tables for two available throughput the floor and outside patio. The "hostess" said nothing to us, just grabbed 2 menus and walked us over to a really awkward tiny table nestled in between 2 other full size tables that had couples eating at them. She sat the menus on the table and left. We thought it was odd but started looking over the menu. We waited 10 minutes for someone to even acknowledge us, let alone some water or coffee. Finally a waitress came our direction but she spoke only to the couple seated next to us, making sure they had what they wanted, I assumed she would acknowledge us next. Wrong! She literally had to squeeze herself into our table to attend to those customers and completely ignored us. She walked away and my jaw dropped in disbelief at how rude it was. There were many wait staff on the floor as well as a couple of managerial looking men just observing the service. We waited another 5 minutes before we finally got up to leave. No one ever at any point even looked at us!! It was as though we were completely invisible. I should have asked to speak to someone, so I'll take some responsibility for not asking for some service but this was too much! Never again Eggstasy! Shame on you, I don't care how good your food might be, you don't deserve our patronage! read more

How about 6 Stars! So we have lived in Az for 14 years and every once in awhile we want to go out for breakfast. But just couldn't seem to connect with any one spot. So we decided mid week to try Eggstasy, I had some time off and thought we would give it a go. Upon arrival of course the building is so pretty, once inside it was rather plain and simple but very clean. I did notice the chairs right away which I will get too soon. Let's talk food: our waitress was super helpful and helped guide us through this extensive menu. And generally a menus this size I'm thinking really? What could you possibly do well because it's just so much. Well let me say and happy to report their food is delicious. Our waitress again was so helpful and we explained we are not big portion eaters so we ordered 1 breakfast to split and added a few sides to punch it up a bit. Their link sausage amazing, waffle yum yum, crepe with berries whoa, eggs needed cooked just a tad longer because I'm not one that likes runny egg whites. But hey eggs can be complicated I get it. And lastly the hash browns so good. Coffee: so this is a big deal to me! Do you ever go to a breakfast joint and their coffee just sucks. Not here! You may want to take one to go, strong bold delicious. And as Elf said. "Congratulations you did it world best cup of coffee". But truly it is. Now the so so review on those chairs. Two stars for price and the orange juice. Just had a lunch catered for my office and I was far from impressed. Everything was so bland, grits were like soup, but the OJ is killer good. Just need to strain the seeds if possible, kept having seeds get stuck on the back of my throat. Went to this location after a morning of soccer tournaments so we came with an appetite. We waited for about 30 minutes and it was well worth the wait! We ordered: barbacoa omelette (very tender and you can taste the flavorful spices), spinach & pine nuts omelette (seasoned perfectly), crepes with strawberries & mango (just enough freshness & sweetness), and a kids Brioche French toast (so good I wasn't allowed a bite haha). The adult meals were hefty portions - the crepe was the only thing that couldn't be finished by our 11yo. Everything else was eaten to the very last crumb! The service was great too! Prompt and attentive to everyone's needs. It probably helped that we looked at the menu as we were waiting and knew exactly what we wanted as we sat down. Seating is a little tight so not much space in between tables but we fit, we kept our table voices down even though it was loud throughout the restaurant. If we could overhear other's conversations then they could hear ours. The music was loud but not obnoxiously loud. We'll probably ask for patio seating next time because we have to take advantage of the weather! read more

Not allergy-friendly :( I am currently breastfeeding a baby with a dairy allergy, so my diet is completely dairy free. So far since having this restriction, all other restaurants I've eaten at have been wonderful with providing lists of which menu items contain which allergens. I was very disappointed to find that this was not the case with Eggstasy. When a friend suggested eating here, I first looked for an allergen menu online and couldn't find anything, but I figured the staff would be able to help me once I arrived. This was not the case; I asked the greeters and our server, and no one had any idea which allergens were in which items. Since I had no way of knowing which foods may be cooked with butter or other milk products, I ended up ordering a plain salad with no cheese which was pretty unsatisfying. This place is probably great for those who are fortunate enough to live without allergies. The staff were friendly and on top of things despite a very busy morning. (I don't blame the staff for not knowing the allergens, as this is something that should be provided by the company.) The Cinnamon Roll Pancakes were very decadent and delicious. I liked the fact that the pancakes were normal size and not some behemoth monsters bigger than the plate. On Wednesday I went to this location for the first time with a friend for breakfast. We were greeted warmly at the entrance and seated. Our server delivered coffee and water and promptly took our orders. The food came and I sent mine back. I ordered the Breakfast Quinoa with the maple syrup on the side. It had come with the syrup already mixed in. The server quickly had the order redone and it was all good. Stuff happens. First cup of coffee was hot, next refill was not so hot, third cup was hotter. It looks like they prefilled a number of insulated servers so some of it may sit for a while before being used. None the less I was impressed with the menu's breadth and variety and took my wife there for Valentine's Day breakfast. Once again there was a warm greeting at the door, swift seating and timely delivery of first drinks. I ordered Oatmeal with milk and bananas on the side and my wife ordered Eggasm. Great dish served hot and delicious. She savored every bite. My oatmeal experience was not so good. It came as ordered and I added a dash of milk and the bananas. My first bite was barely above room temperature. I thought OK, I added a little milk so maybe that cooled it off so I delved into the center of the dish. Same temperature. I relayed this to our server Matt and he quickly took it away and had a new serving prepared. This time I didn't add any milk, just bananas. The temperature was at best, tepid. Matt came back the check and I declined to try again. I ate about half the serving and gave up. Kind of surprised I was charged for it. read more

We ended up sitting on the patio which would be lovely in the winter because of the large fireplace but the seats are plastic and they do not have fans or misters to keep you cool. This spot was a huge disappointment. The only reason I'm not scoring even lower is because the staff were great. Service was the only redeeming quality at this huge waste of money. The food was bland and tasted old, as if it was somehow pre-made. We were surprised at how quickly it all arrived, but immediately disappointed when taking our first bites. We started with the chocolate covered bacon, which we knew would be unique. The chocolate to bacon ratio was imbalanced, and you mostly got a mouthful of chocolate with what tasted like burnt bacon. We ordered the chicken and waffles, and they came smothered in gravy. They were a saturated mess and made the waffle soft and soggy. There was a generous helping of chicken, but it and the waffle tasted like they had been sitting under a heat lamp all morning waiting to be served. We also got the Barbacoa omelet, which again was an overly generous serving, but despite all the toppings, it was the most bland omelet I've ever tasted, and the beef was more fat than meat. Every bite was a greasy mouthful of fat. Even my side of fruit had browned pineapple. I was initially impressed with the presentation but immediately disappointed with flavor and lack of freshness. The place was crowded, as to be expected primetime Sunday brunch, so we opted bravely to sit on the patio, expecting there would be misting or at least fans considering it's summer in Arizona. Sadly, aside from being shaded, there is zero climate assistance on the patio, making for a very uncomfortable experience. Came here for brunch on a Wednesday. There was a 15 min wait. Our server was on top of it. Knew all about the menu and was at our table immediately. We ordered a latte, 2 omelettes (barbacoa and Denver) with hash browns and pancakes (pumpkin and lemon ricotta) instead of toast. Latte was average. The Denver omelette was ok....A little dry. My friend loved her barbacoa omelette. Hash browns were good. The fruit is pretty grand. It's like a Kevin with pineapple and strawberries. Pancakes were delicious but the pumpkin one was covered in a cheesecake sauce that was really heavy for me so I ate some of the plain one underneath. The portions were HUGE. I came home with 2 meals leftover for my husband The food was good, but not amazing. I will say that they just recently opened and so maybe they are working out kinks. The service was wonderful though and so was the environment. I would go back because it was fun and enjoyable even though the food isn't my first choice. We had a lovely brunch. Husband went in and got us on the wait list. They said 30-40 minutes, but it was really only like 20. They have the tables really crammed in, and there are lots of people standing near the hostess stand waiting to be seated. Makes it difficult for a mobility-challenged woman with a cane to maneuver. Server brought a carafe of ice water. Cucumber water to be exact. Not really what I want with breakfast. Coffee was good (Lavazza), but refills were hard to come by. Food came out super fast. Because most of it was obvious prepared in advance. Including the pancakes. I got the cinnamon roll pancakes. Portion was huge, but it lacked in cinnamon. Side of bacon was good, although husband's bacon was cold. We felt rushed the whole time we were there. Server brought us boxes when he finally came to refill the coffee. At that time, I had only eaten a third of my pancakes. Then manager came around to ask if I wanted a box. I pointed to the one the server brought. Husband voiced his displeasure with the obvious desire to turn our table, and manager acted butt-hurt. The best thing about this place was the quality of their coffee. Unfortunately they don't have the pink sweetener that I prefer. Had to use Splenda. Final verdict: would not return. read more

Eggstasy...I wanted to love you but I just couldn't. I was greeted by pleasant and polite staff at the host stand, and things pretty much went downhill from there. I ordered a steak "bowl" that came with choice of eggs, hash browns, ham, and some veggies. Along with that a cup of coffee and a Strawberry OJ. The juice was tasty, but not the least bit chilled. Coffee was adequate yet it was in a tiny cup and refills were lacking. Roughly 45 seconds after ordering, my food arrived. Automatic red flag. How do you prepare all of that food in under 1 minute unless it was 1) intended originally for another guest or 2) Held "warm" and slopped together with wreckless abandon? The steak was the equivalent of chewing on a rubber bike tire (and that's being polite). Nothing was hot and everything was completely under seasoned/not seasoned at all. I commend whoever managed to make steak and ham not taste good, because that takes talent. Service staff was polite, but I saw my server a total of three times in 40 minutes. Once to order, 20 minutes later while my coffee was barren like the Sonoran Desert, and to bring me the check. $28 and change for breakfast? No thanks. On top of that, the server left me with a large bill and a single for change. Well played on her part as I was forced to give her a $10 tip on an unremarkable breakfast, but not deserved. It's not 1 star service for the simple fact the place is clean and free of any visible roaches, but certainly not deserving of anything much higher than 2. Every time I eat at Eggstasy, I walk out wanting to turn around and walk right back in for another experience. The servers are very professional and friendly. Their food is filling, delicious, and extremely affordable for what you receive. We dine there most Sunday mornings and it's a completely full house-- yet we get our food almost immediately after placing our order! We love sitting at the bar as it's a seat-yourself policy. First, SOOO HAPPY to have a nice sit down restaurant near our house. This place is clean and love the outdoor patio area. My husband and i sat at the bar facing the patio area. I ordered the Croque Madame and my husband had the Denver Omelette with a side of bacon and pancakes. He said the pancakes were kind of dry but he enjoyed the rest of his meal. The Croque Madame is HUGE and DELICIOUS! I could only eat about 1/4 of it. The cheese with the dijon gives it a great little tang that went along well with the eggs on top and the bacon sandwiched in between the two pieces of brioche. It was SO GOOD! Just too much for me to eat. Definitely shareable. So many items on the menu that caught my eye. Can't wait to try more of these items. We will DEFINITELY be back! read more
