First Watch - Pumpkin Spice Donuts - Breakfast & Brunch Near Me - Gilbert, Arizona

First Watch in Gilbert was a solid brunch spot, with just a couple of hiccups worth mentioning. We came on a Saturday during peak time, so I expected a wait, but we were told "5 more minutes" repeatedly and ended up waiting closer to 35. If you're going at peak hours, just go in expecting a real wait rather than trusting the estimate. Once we were seated, though, the experience turned around fast. Our server was great, and the food came out quickly despite our large group. I had the seasonal breakfast bowl, which was excellent, and we also shared the blueberry cornbread, both were genuinely great. Our group had several separate checks, and the staff split them without any issue, which I really appreciated. My one other note, the tables are packed in pretty tight, so it feels a little cramped moving around the space, especially with a bigger party. Overall, not a bad experience at all, and I'd happily go back, just maybe try for an off-peak time next visit. read more

I recently had breakfast at First Watch in Gilbert and had a mixed experience. The meal started off with some disappointment, as the bacon was overcooked and burnt, which took away from the flavor. The breakfast potatoes were also underwhelming--soggy and a little greasy rather than crispy and fresh. On the positive side, the eggs were cooked well and tasted great, and the toast was perfectly prepared. Those items helped salvage the meal and showed that the kitchen can get the basics right. Overall, the food was hit-or-miss during this visit. While the eggs and toast were enjoyable, the burnt bacon and greasy potatoes kept the breakfast from being as good as it could have been. Service was good and plenty of parking. Easy to find and easy access to Val Vista and Williams Field. Open eating area with a small outside seating area. Restaurant seemed clean and well kept. I am going to give it another try when I am in the area and hope this was just a "One Off" experience. read more

I'm prefacing my review that I'm not a breakfast guy. On work days and most weekends my breakfast is a banana, a granola bar and water. As my wife and I were out early last weekend without kids we decided to grab breakfast out and checked out Frist Watch in Gilbert. This was my first time to any First Watch restaurant. The interior is decent sized and has a nice, open, cozy feel to it. I liked the natural light coming in and the simple wood floors and light color scheme. They looked busy, but we were able to be seated right away at a 2-top next to the window. Our server arrived promptly and took our order. She was friendly and helped us go over the menu and the seasonal fare. I just ordered two eggs, potatoes, an English muffin and the chicken apple sausage (as recommended). My wife got a more elaborate meal adorned by a fruit cup and coffee. The food came out in about 10 minutes. It's hard to rate some basic things I ordered because it's hard to make them bad or incredible. However, the potatoes were not good...they were cold and they were bland (no seasonings, no onion or peppers mixed in). I also did not like the apple chicken sausage. I should have tried their Million Dollar Bacon instead...it was right there in the name telling me to order it! When the waitress came back at the end of our meal and saw that I didn't eat the sausage or half my potatoes, she didn't say a word, just scooped up the plate the laid the bill down on the table. $45 for 2 for breakfast that I enjoyed less than my banana and granola bar breakfasts at home for $2. Thanks, First Watch, for the reminder why I typically don't eat breakfast out of my house. read more

The atmosphere is a little loud but in a good way, lots of happy people talking about life or whatever. Our server Ocean was so awesome. Seriously one of the best servers I've had while dining anywhere. Very knowledgeable and patient. And the food was so good! My son enjoyed his granola, my husband had the maple bacon croissant sandwich and I had the pumpkin pancake breakfast. Will definitely be back! Oh and the honey caramel coffee was one of my favorite parts too! read more

Let's get one thing straight... The service is outstanding! Sarah, our waitress was outstanding! The food was well seasoned and delicious and the coffee was great!. There's a wonderful kind of vibe radiating off of everyone we encountered here. The staff always greets you with beautiful smiles and I love being asked how my morning is going so far. They seem to really care. Now on to what we ordered: I had the Traditional breakfast and my husband ordered the Trifecta and as I mentioned above both dishes were outstanding! My plate was almost empty before I realized I didn't take a picture so here's what was left of it. I'm glad I tried something different because I usually order Avocado Toast which is delicious as well. We will definitely be back! read more

First Watch - What's left of the traditional breakfast. - Breakfast & Brunch Near Me - Gilbert, Arizona

I've been to a number of First Watch locations, but I heard this one was one has significant flare and energy so we checked it out. We were greeted quickly with smiles and taken to our table. The staff are super friendly! The store was clean and inviting. I ordered the Strawberry Tres Leches French Toast which was amazing! The gingerbread cookie crumbles was the perfect touch. Also grabbed some grits which I loved...nice and buttery, my fav. We ordered the Million Dollar bacon and of course the Holey Donuts with Nutella. Everything was delicious and we walked away full and satisfied. On a scale of 1 to 10, First Watch is a great breakfast spot that I'll continue to frequent...I kinda like it. read more

First Watch - Highly recommend! - Breakfast & Brunch Near Me - Gilbert, Arizona

This review is solely based on takeout orders as being a mom of two littles now, I'm Queen DoorDasher. I literally order from this specific First Watch location at least 3-4 times a week when I don't have time to make myself breakfast and I tell you what, even if I did have the time, I prefer this breakfast spot over any other breakfast place I've ever dined at in my lifetime! Their breakfast entrees from just a standard eggs, meat and carb selection are all delicious. One of my fave savory go-to's is their Trifecta that comes with delicious scrambled eggs, smoked bacon and a large pancake of choice (I'm obsessed with their carrot cake pancake and the banana almond crunch one, on top of that their house made maple syrup is bomb diggity as well). My fave sweet go-to is their A.M. Superfoods bowl that comes with almond butter on their toast. What stands out most with this bowl is the coconut chia pudding, omggggggg, literal foodgasm. Now onto their beverages....also top tier!! Absolutely try their iced coffee, it's divine. I'm also obsessed with their Kale Tonic juice, hits the spot and so incredibly refreshing. Besides being one of the most delicious breakfast restaurants I've ever eaten from, their pricing is also astonishing. Very affordable for quality ingredients in my book. I'll definitely update my review once I dine in and see how the in-person customer service is which I'm pretty positive will be a delightful experience as well. read more

This place never disappoints. Their seasonal juices are always on point. The Watermelon Wake Up might be the best juice I've had here. Super refreshing and highly addictive. I went with the traditional French toast with mixed berry compote. It was perfectly done. I added a side of crispy bacon. I really appreciate that they bring out warm syrup in a glass container. Small details like that truly make a difference. We shared the blueberry lemon cornbread and it was incredible. Rich, flavorful, and easily passes as dessert. A perfect shareable. My girlfriend's son had the Tres Leches French Toast and said it was absolutely delicious. Their menu is strong all around. I've tried several dishes and nothing ever disappoints. Service is quick and polite. I also love that you can pay through the QR code at the table or go up front when you're ready to leave. It keeps things easy and efficient. I always feel good bringing clients here. Great food, solid service, and an overall fantastic spot. read more

I love first watch and their breakfast menu. I got their seasonal breakfast sandwich and it was delicious. It was a bit messy and because it was so messy the bun became a little soggy. Despite that the flavor was still delicious. The bacon was cooked perfectly. Service was great and I enjoyed the ambiance of this location. I would recommend getting there early if you don't want to have a wait. I arrived at 8:30 and when I left around 10 there was a line out the door. read more

Over the course of the last decade I will tend to find a breakfast spot close to my place of business and will frequent it on a regular basis. I started coming to this First Watch a few years ago and have to say that this location is superior to any of their other locations I have been to. All of the staff are friendly, genuine and very accommodating. They have such a unique culture with respect to how much everyone is on the same page and shows a mutual respect to one another. It's truly a rare atmosphere to experience at restaurants. The food is phenomenal as well, even to the point of when I try a new dish it's as delicious as my typical "go to". From the host, to the servers and management this location is ran extremely well and they always exceed my expectations from my first visit to the dozens that have followed! read more

Don't sleep on the roast beef and havarti sandwich!!! The Parmesan crusted sourdough is fantastic and adding the cheese sauce and bacon to the potatoes is the only way to do it. My biggest critique of FW has been and always will be that the potatoes are not crispy, like at all. But get them this way and problem solved. read more

An amazing place for breakfast. It can be a little pricey but so good. I started with a fresh juice and coffee. Delicious! I then had a traditional with scrambled eggs, ham and home fries. AMAZING BREAKFAST! i haven't been to first watch in a couple of years and it was just as good as i remembered. i love this breakfast spot because i feel like they offer healthier options than other brunch places. everything is perfectly balanced and delicious! i got the fresh squeezed orange juice - and it's definitely fresh! for food, i ordered the trifecta with scrambled eggs, the chicken sausage (which is very good) and the belgian waffle! the waffle comes with a delicious berry compote too! and i also got a side of potatoes. everything is seriously great and i highly recommend to anyone. we came to this location on a sunday around 10am they were busy, so definitely add yourself to the waitlist before heading over! ambiance was nice and bright space, and has some noise, but nothing crazy. i also believe our server was ian, and he was awesome! we will be back, thank you! read more

First Watch is one of our favorite breakfast restaurants. The staff is always friendly. It is usually pretty clean at this location. We come super early when it is more chill; if you come later there may be a wait. I usually get the Avocado Toast with over easy eggs. My husband has a sweet tooth, he loves their giant pancakes. We always end up splitting the Million Dollar Bacon (hardwood smoked bacon glazed with brown sugar, black pepper, cayenne and a maple syrup drizzle). I like that they leave a pot of coffee at your table. I often get a fresh juice as well; the Purple Haze (lemon, cane sugar, butterfly pea flower tea and a hint of lavender) is not only tasty, it is also quite lovely to look at. A seasonal menu is offered. Sign up for emails, they will buy you breakfast for your birthday. read more

I'm not usually big on chains, but First Watch is an exception. The ambience, quality, and food choices never disappoint. I especially like this location's interior, though I'm not sure why. THE TURKEY GRAVY IS MADE WITH WATER!!! That's right not milk based at all!!!!! I swear they used to use milk. My husband and I went over the weekend for brunch and I got the biscuit's and water gravy! My husband asked and confirmed that they do not use milk here and only water. I don't know if that's just this location or all of them. The staff were amazing! The blueberry lemon cornbread is very good and so are their potatoes. I wish I would have taken a picture though of the biscuits and gravy. What a disappointment. read more

Had a great breakfast at First Watch recently. We tried the Blueberry Lemon Cornbread, which was really good with a nice balance of sweetness and flavor, and the Trifecta breakfast was excellent. Everything tasted fresh, the portions were solid, and the meal came out exactly the way you'd want a breakfast spot to deliver. The atmosphere was relaxed, the staff was friendly, and overall it was a really enjoyable start to the day. Definitely a place we'll be coming back to. read more

The food is always nice but it's extremely disappointing to see many tables open with long wait times. On today's visit we were told it was a 20-30 min wait but we were only seated 45 mins later. This was a 9:06am. Either management cannot organize or they cannot hire folks? read more

This place has a little something for everybody. The service wastop-notch! My daughters and I visited on a Friday morning and expected to wait a few moments for a table. To my surprise, I was seated right away and immediately given coffee (that alone is worth 5 stars). The place has a country feel to it and is quite charming. My daughters took a few moments to decide what they wanted and did not feel rushed. The server was incredibly patient & our food was served relatively quickly. The million dollar potatoes were amazing; we will definitely be back ! read more

We stopped here on a Saturday morning for a late breakfast. I was impressed by the restaurant's menu. We did not have to wait a very long time to get seated. The coffee was hot and fresh. Our waitress was very nice. It took way too long for us to get our food after we ordered. That's why I only gave them a three-star rating. We decided to try First Watch when my mother and aunt were visiting for my wife's baby shower. The wait was short and we were seated quickly despite the restaurant being fairly busy. The food did not take long at all to come out! I ordered the Farm Stand Breakfast Tacos and my wife got the Belgian Waffle. The Farm Stand Breakfast Tacos were amazing! The house pico de gallo was so flavorful and it really added to the flavor of the chicken. My wife says the Belgian Waffles are perfectly crisp, airy and light and she is a major critic of waffles! The bacon is crispy and juicy and neither overcooked nor undercooked. The eggs are just how mama made 'em! Their juice drinks are delicious! I had the Tangerine Dream, which is pineapple, tangerine, ginger and vanilla coconut milk! Yummy! Food: 5/5 Stars Service: 5/5 Stars Wow Factor: The Eggs! This place knows how to cook an egg! It is rare to find a restaurant that doesn't serve eggs that look more plastic than edible; this restaurant is one of them. 5/5 Stars Overall 5/5 Stars Eat here for a delicious breakfast or brunch! read more

almost every single time I order through DoorDash from this specific restaurant location, they get something wrong with my order. Whether it's a missing item altogether or whether the items missing major ingredients, and or dressing/sauce, whatever. It's not that hard of a skill set to line item checking off system to ensure the entire order is put into the bag and then signed off saying you checked off the order when it's wrong!!!! Today was the third time in a row that happened to me. Currently waiting on the manager to call me back to discuss the issue, but she's too busy right now.
