If you're dying go try their famous "The Slut", this is the best location to do so! The line here is usually much shorter than their other locations (especially Grand Central Market in Downtown LA) where the wait can be an hour or more. The Slut is a coddled egg on pureed potatoes that's placed inside a major jar, and topped with chopped green chives. It's all it's cracked up to be. Perfectly seasoned with salt and just as smooth as can be. Eat it on it's own or pair it with one of their crunchy baguettes. If you love eggs and potatoes, you're going to love The Slut. What happened!!!! Let me first start off by saying that we have had the Fairfax many times at the downtown location and we love it. LOVE the buttery eggs and the burst of flavor in every bite. We were excited to see a location close to us and couldn't wait to enjoy this Decadent dish. We got there and saw that they were great about following Covid guidelines and happy there wasn't a line. Ordered and waited for mouth magic. Received our order and literally ate it around the corner from Eggslut so it wouldn't go cold. Our first bite was mostly bun so I quickly went in again. They won't give you water cups or any sort of water to drink with your food even after we purchased 3 items and tipped them for taking our order... Something about breaking the yolk and mixing it with the creamy mash potatoes goodness! Eat it alone or spread it on the baguette that comes with your meal. After years of seeing social media posts about Eggslut, I finally gave in to the hype. My boyfriend and I shared the Fairfax Sandwich, swapping out the sriracha mayo for honey mustard aioli. Overall, the sandwich is good. Flavors are great and the egg is soft and fluffy. One downside to the sandwich is that the brioche bun is also soft and fluffy. While soft and fluffy bread is great alone, the whole sandwich as a whole needed a contrasting texture, as it was lacking some sort of substance. I also didn't taste any honey mustard flavor but I did really enjoy the stretchiness of the cheese and the addition of caramelized onions. read more

I don't eat here super often but it's always delicious when I do! I mostly go to the Glendale location, but I have been to the Grand Central Market one once. The line was SUPER long but of course the sandwich made up for it. They're usually pretty fast and friendly in Glendale. The food: I always get the bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich. It's simple and never disappoints. You can also add avocado and other meats to anything for an extra charge. The sandwich comes with chipotle ketchup which adds the perfect amount of flavor. I noticed today my egg was a little more runny (over easy probably). I didn't expect it to be, but I also don't mind runny eggs. If you don't like your eggs that way, I think you could ask for a more cooked egg and I'm sure they'd accommodate. It's very filling so if you eat it a little later in the day you might skip lunch all together. I've only ever tried the orange juice here but they do have coffee. Philz Coffee is also right next door, and there are a few coffee places in the Americana that also pair well with the sandwich. Parking: There is a parking lot right behind the place. You have to pay but if you're going to be in the area for a little while, it's worth it and not too expensive. I have been wanting to try Eggslut and have been patiently waiting to have one open in San Diego. I was in Glendale with friends for the weekend and I was so excited to see that Eggslut was just around the corner from our hotel. We made our way for breakfast, anticipating a really long line, but orders were taken quickly which made wait time short! I ordered the sausage, egg and cheese sandwich ($7.50) and a side of biscuit and honey butter ($3.50). Our food came out in a timely manner, but to be honest it was kind of underwhelming. The honey mustard aoli had no distinct flavors of honey mustard at all, it was just plain ole mayo, the brioche bun was really lovely though. Edi had the biscuit and honey butter and he found it to be dry and cold, I'm not sure if they offer to warm it up for you because that would make for a better experience. I brought the biscuit home for my husband he liked it but he did have to warm it up and add peanut butter to it. The In N' Out of Eggs! This was my first experience with Eggslut although I've heard of it for years. I came because my friend with a Birthday chose it and it was a great excuse to go treat her. Take note this is NOT in the Americana, it is across the way on Brand at Colorado Blvd. Be prepared for a crowd. This place is SMALL and narrow. On a Saturday, there's easily a line but it moves quickly. The menu is small but yummy and my friend opted for the Cheeseburger ($9) which she liked but replied it was, "bready." I have to agree as I purchased the Fairfax sandwich ($7) with avocado ($1.50 extra). If you're sensitive to spicy like I am, have no fear! The siracha mayo offers a nice kick and didn't bother the sandwich at all. However, I didn't feel full, maybe I needed a side. At any rate, very cute, hip atmosphere and be praised to have your guest grab a seat because they are limited! A couple tables outside, a couple in and counter space goes fast. Eggslut has always been a bit of a rollercoaster ride for me. So excited when I saw fellow Yelpers pictures, disappointed that it was in So Cal and not local. But it was a place that was always on my mind so when I found myself going through the LA area back from SD, that was the one place I had to try. Hearing about the long lines, I made sure to fortify myself with a snack beforehand and opting for the Glendale location which is suppose to be the least busy. Arriving on a Monday helped too. Between two of us, we got the cheeseburger with egg, bacon, cheese and egg on brioche, and the slut which is coddled egg over potato puree. Unfortunately the yolk in my bacon cheese and egg had broke and ended up all over the plate (see picture) so I felt like I did not have the full experience of what would otherwise be a delicious sandwich. However, the slut made up for it as the coddled egg over the potato puree was delicious. You just have to make sure to have all ingredients with each scoop as the puree is a bit plain on its own. With all the ups and downs, it is only a solid 3 at this point. read more

It's one egg, sou vide, over puréed potatoes, some salt and served with 3 small slices of toasted baguette ... for 9 bucks. To properly enjoy it, use a spoon and mix everything very well and dip the baguette. It's new and something different. It had good flavor and was comforting because if its familiar ingredients. But not worth it for 9 bucks. I'm willing to bet there are many true foodies out there that want to go home & try to duplicate it. Everything else on the menu, I've probably made at one point or another. Yes, at times I make a mean savory breakfast. I mean, I already know what eggs over medium taste like. I'm also familiar with bacon, sausage, cheddar and brioche, so nothing new there. My only assumption on why Eggslut is so popular is because of laziness. Someone asked & I told him it's good, but you can make it at home easily. He responded ," but that means I have to make it. " I rest my case. Glendale is a lot less hectic than the Grand Central Market location. I was by there several times but simply refused to wait in a long line for eggs. At this location, the wait was only a few minutes and they offer more seating. So if you have to try it because if all the high reviews, make it this location. Overhyped indeed, but I have to admit that Eggslut is pretty darn good! I've had Eggslut before, but this time around it was B O M B! It was my first time visiting this specific Eggslut location and I honestly think it is much better than the Grand Central Market Eggslut. The wait wasn't bad at all, parking was easy, service was friendly and fairly fast, and this location has a good amount of seating. I previously had Eggslut's Bacon, Egg & Cheese Sandwich, Sausage, Egg & Cheese Sandwich and the Fairfax Sandwich. All were pretty good, but my all time favorite is the Fairfax with added bacon! You have to give that a try if you haven't already. The simple combo of the scrambled eggs, chives and the cheese is absolutely amazing. Not to mention the brioche bun literally melts in your mouth! You order up on a not too complicated menu, i Highly recommend the Fairfax, the softness of the bun, the fluff of the eggs, and the cheese just perfectly blends into a mouth watering bite. The truffle fries, don't need any sauce added to them. They're tasty just as in. I had a bottled coke so i can't recommend the OJ or coffee. But great experience. Anyhow I also got the orange juice and their salted chocolate chip cookie. My total came out to be appx $17+ some change. I was like damnnnn!! Thats expensive!!! The orange juice was okay it is freshly squeezed however it was very tarty. The cookie was good but it was too big and $3.50 for one cookie a lil pricey if you ask me. As far as the sandwich goes it was good but it didn't blow me away. It was $9.00 because I added avocado and thats an additional $1.50 damn!!!
