A very generous 2 stars because the crew behind the counter were very cool. Have heard how great this place is for years and finally tried it because we were in the area for a meeting. It generally will have a line out the door on weekends so definitely get there early if you want to avoid that on the weekends. Go with their classic egg sandwich and you will not be disappointed I promise. Not too expensive but they make their food assembly line style because they have the process down to a science. Came here with my sister for her birthday. She came into town and wanted to do a foodie tour. First stop on her list was Eggslut. I have been an eggslut fan for so long: from their truck posted on Fairfax, to their location in Grand Central Market and to the brick and mortar spot at the Beverly Center. This location provides the same great quality delicious breakfast egg dishes. The seating was limited but we managed to find something at the high bench at the window. We ordered the classics: the slut and the Fairfax. Both are my favorite but I highly recommend the coddled egg in a jar called Slut. It is something I never had before and it's a delicious alternative to eating eggs and bread. Perfectly textured egg with a perfectly toasted bread to dip in. Staff was awesome. I tried the egg salad sandwich and it was really good. The brioche bun is really fluffy and light, and the egg salad has a light honey dijon taste. That with fresh arugula is quite good. I'd never thought to have egg salad as a breakfast, but it was really good. My husband tried the burger. The egg came out super runny and when he took a bite it squirted everywhere! The sandwich's are great (the bacon and the sausage are the best so far, the only one we haven't liked is the fairfax, the flavor is good, it's just too soft texture wise in my opinion) but the real star of the show is "the slut" it's puréed mash potatoes, with a poached egg seasoned to absolute perfection with bread to dip in it. My ONLY complaint is I wish they had a jar take back program. The slut comes in a glass jar which is really cool presentation and better than plastic in my opinion because I can reuse the jar myself, but I wish they would let you bring your jar back for them to reuse because it really can be a wasteful thing. read more

It was really expensive for a small jar ($9) and wasn't as rich or flavourful as I thought it would be, and definitely was not at all worth $9. I'm confident I could make it at home. I really liked the egg, bacon and cheese sandwich though. The eggs were nice and silky, and the brioche was buttery, fluffy, and toasted. The cheese and bacon added flavour, and I definitely wouldn't have it without the bacon. There's limited seating, but we managed to get a small table outside. The breakfast burger is bomb and so are the hashbrowns. The orange juice is a rip off since it's a small cup and already very expensive. The day I went I asked for my burger patty well done and once I bit into it, it was very not well done and still red so I asked them to cook the patty a little longer for me and they just replaced my whole burger instead and gave me a side for free for the inconvenience. I love breakfast dates so when my fiancee asked me where I wanted to go I didn't hesitate to nominate Eggslut! This location is on the smaller side with mostly counter seating and a couple of tables inside. There are tables outside but it's a no-go in this heat wave! Whenever we go out my fiancee takes a little while to order as she gets lost in the menu and can't decide on what to get. It was refreshing that Eggslut has a small and simple menu! She had the sausage, egg, and cheese sandwich while I had the bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich. We topped it off with fresh orange juice. I'm not the biggest fan of breakfast sandwiches... until now! Wow! Just wow! They knocked us both off our feet! They're kind of small but they're plenty filling! And the OJ perfectly compliments the sandwiches. Eggslut is a bit pricier than I would've thought but the quality makes up for it in my opinion. Located on Brand across the street from the Americana and Din Tai Fung, came here for a breakfast sandwich and a slut. Hehe. I got the Fairfax sandwich and added bacon. I love the flaky soft brioche and the yummy sriracha mayo. The scrambled eggs are very soft, and err on the side of undercooked, which I actually like but can never manage to do myself before the pan makes my eggs harder. No complaints about the sandwich, it's the only one I'll ever get because it's so good (albeit a little messy!). I can't manage to venture out to try the bacon, egg, and cheese because I love the sriracha mayo but that one looks good too. I also got the Slut for the first time! A yummy coddled egg on a bed of puréed potatoes, with crispy bread for dipping. I'll admit, it's messy, and there aren't enough bread pieces for dipping, so you'll probably end up just eating it with a spoon. But it's a very tasty and unique dish that I'm glad I got to try! Came here knowing how popular this place was. Also, I knew there were several locations in the west coast including Vegas! So my expectation going to this place was pretty high.
