This breakfast place on my list to check out when saw notice in paper. Off Robinhood Road. Address 1965 N Peace Haven Rd. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Struck how the large outside windows made the place bright and welcoming.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The tables were arranged with ample space between them.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] There was also a counter to sit enjoying your meal. I ordered the Homestead Platter. Yeehaw! It came with 2 eggs, bacon, sausage, and biscuits with sausage gravy. Plus I optioned for coffee and large OJ. Around $21. There are other less expensive options. Also pancakes, French toast, waffles, sandwiches burgers, melts too. Service was quick and again loved the brightness of the place. Open 6am to 2pm. It is a franchise with other locations in NC. Thanks to Dedi Gaither and Heather Vuncannon for an excellent place to enjoy a great breakfast. I

This was our first time at Eggs Up, but we went with friends who had been to another location. We had a SUPER SWEET server who was so funny and took care of us the whole time. I ordered the Philly Cheesesteak omelet that came with a side, and I chose grits. Everyone else went with the Benedicts, which looked good. The meat in the omelet was tender, and the onions and peppers worked well. it was a bit small, but I am working on adjusting intake, so it was fine with me. I give four stars for the food, and the extra was for the server.

I went here 5 months ago when they first opened and was not impressed as the food was lukewarm and so was the cofffee. On this visit, I kept an open mind! Our waitress was sweet and efficient. After placing the order - we waited for 15 minutes and our server came back and said it will be up soon. We waited another 6 minutes. I just got the burger with egg and it was very tasty. Nothing out of the ordinary though. This place has potential but something is lacking. There were over 8 tables empty and the had people waiting for a long time. I just don't feel they have enough staffing as that might be the reason for not filling all tables. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Light and airy a comfortable place.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

    Pleasant company and pleasant donuts

This was my first time trying Eggs Up Grill and I really enjoyed it! I came with my husband who had a yelp elite event but since I was a neglectful yelper the year prior, I alas, did not. But I'm back on the squad now and ready for more events! I ordered the shrimp and grits bowl which arrived to the table looking very appealing and impressive and the flavor backed it up. It had a generous amount of shrimp, flavorful creamy grits and pops of andouille sausage, onions and peppers with some hollandaise on top- and garlic toast on the side. It was a very large meal, filled me up so much I didn't eat again for the entire rest of the day in fact! I found the quality to be very good and the presentation fantastic. We also tried the three count order of the croissant donuts- these were a bit more meh. Maybe try them once if you like, but I found them too doughy and way too small at $2 a piece. Rather skippable in my book. My husband had the breakfast burger with fries which looked pretty standard issue- the fries were very thin and crisp and I'd say, fine. I think the bowls and breakfast plates might be where they really shine here so for the best bang for the buck and quality, I'd probably stick with those options.

Sweet Cream Vanilla Cold Brew. This was the most delicious coffee I have had this year. (Full disclosure, this review was written 1/4)

Its so nice to get into a breakfast place with minimal wait and excellent service. Did I stay up late the night before scouring the menu to figure out what I wanted... yes I did. The menu offers a variety of brunch options and the servers are patient while you sort out your choices between bacon or sausage. My eggs over medium were the perfect consistency. The waffle was both crispy and fluffy. If I had more room in my stomach I would eat 8 more. The restaurant shares a shopping center parking lot which is convenient if you have errands after.

This was our first time at Eggs Up in WInston. We came around 1 o'clock and there were still quite a crowd, but we didn't have to wait for a table. Our waitress was pleasant enough. The coffee wasn't strong at all so we had to order an espresso shot which still didn't really help. The Mexican omelette was big and tasty. They didn't give you a whole lot of home fries which was fine, but they were cooked well. The pancakes were large, but nothing to brag about. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place seemed clean, especially after a morning rush.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Out of 5 stars I'll give it a 4 just because the service was ok and the food was average. Hard to mess up breakfast though.

We recently learned that Winston now has its first Eggs Up Grill and knew we needed to stop in. We've attempted to go to Eggs Up in the past while traveling through South Carolina and the wait has always been so long that we've opted for something else. We arrived about 10am on a Saturday morning and checked in at the hostess station. The hostess told us the wait for a table would be approximately 10 minutes. The interior is simple and welcoming. There are approximately 30 tables of various shapes and sizes and a small counter area that offers open seating. Our table was ready in less than 10 minutes and we were seated. We were provided menus and our server, Dianne stopped in to take our drink orders. We looked over the menu and learned they offer a wide variety of breakfast and lunch items to chose from. Dianne was very friendly and welcoming and shared some of the most popular items with us. It took us awhile to look over the menu and make our brunch selections but Dianne checked on us frequently until we were ready to place our orders. My wife decided to order the "Pick 3 Omelet" which allows you to build your own omelet, selecting from various cheeses, meats, and veggies. She requested to substitute sliced tomatoes instead of potatoes and wheat toast. We also ordered a fresh fruit bowl which we requested to arrive prior to our entrees. I chose the chicken fried steak and eggs (tender steak breaded, fried, and topped with sausage gravy, served with home fries and eggs with buttermilk biscuit, and home fries or grits). The entire restaurant was busy with all tables occupied and they appeared to have sufficient staffing. My wife used the restroom and reported it was very clean and well equipped. We both noticed a fairly loud "ding" sound that kept repeating. As we sat there we finally determined it was the screen above the counter between the dining area and kitchen. It appears the point of sale system alerts servers of orders coming out of the kitchen. While we understand the importance of the system and notifications, in our opinion the volume should be reduced. In our opinion, management should find the perfect setting that allows servers to recognize orders are ready but not so loud as to disrupt customers. Our fruit bowl arrived and looked delicious, we enjoyed it. Dianne was very attentive even though she was busy and apologized for the wait time on our entrees. We learned this was their second Saturday since opening and let us know the kitchen staff are still learning and getting comfortable and having trouble keeping up with the orders. Our orders arrived a few minutes later and looked delicious as well. My wife eats a good amount of omelets and said her omelets was the best one she's had in recent history. I really enjoyed my homefries and chicken fried steak as well. This is the first time I've had chicken fried steak served with the sausage gravy on the side, and really liked it this way. It was nice to dip my bites in the delicious gravy. This would be an easy five star review with a reduced wait time for our entrees to arrive. Dianne was VERY good, and we felt taken care of. We wish them all the best as they establish themselves in our community!

Bacon missing, it eventually came 15 minutes later

Newly opened diner. Very nice and clean on the inside. Located in a strip mall so there's plenty of parking. Walking through the door we were greeted and immediately seated. Drink orders taken shortly afterwards. For the next 15 minutes that followed 4 different waitresses came and asked if someone had taken our drink orders. That is also how long it took for us to receive our beverages. Eventually our food order was taken and that took another 20 minutes to be served only to come out with missing items. We ordered an additional shot of espresso because our coffee order was weak. I ordered the crème brûlée French toast, it came with your choice of bacon or sausage. I chose bacon. My husband ordered the grand classic. I added an order of cheddar grits. By the time the food reached our table it was lukewarm. My bacon was not cooked all the way through. I'm not sure if I should have requested it to be cooked crispy. My husband had potatoes with his order. I tried a potato and was immediately put of by the old bay like seasoning tossed on the potatoes. The whole visit seemed like a miss. With the understanding this is a new establishment, I will return in a few months. Hopefully by then they will have logistics and food flavors worked out.

First time and gotta say I can't really think of any complaints! Pretty solid diner experience! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Place was clean and bright, spacious, and the staff were super friendly with quick service![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The food I think was priced rather fairly actually, and the flavor and quality was solid! I got the brunch burger and my wife got the shrimp and grits which I would recommend as they were quite creamy and tasty! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Not too busy on a weekday if you can manage to check them out then![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

I have tried this restaurants other locations in South Carolina. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This is a slightly smaller location, but has a modern feel.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The menu has several good breakfast and lunch options as well as seasonal specials. I decided to try their eggs Benedict with potatoes. My breakfast was very good. The eggs were well poached and I liked the hollandaise. My husband had an omelette he would order something different in the future. Our waitress was nice and our food came out in a reasonable amount of time. I would eat here again if I was in the area.

Great new addition to the breakfast/brunch scene. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Nice spacious place with lots of seating and outdoor seating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Nice service, friendly staff. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I like how they personalized the decor for Winston Salem even though they are a chain.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]the menu has all your usual suspects and yes is egg heavy !! Good variety though and decent prices. Sign up for their emails and you get a free entree and drink in your birthday valid for 30 days! I used that the day I went which was really nice. I got the goodness gracious omelette, egg whites, veggies and feta. I chose an English muffin as my bread and home fries . It was a nice big omelette and the potatoes were really nicely cooked, the muffin was a little burnt! But I ate around it. My mom had the strawberries and cream pancakes and the caramel cinnamon smile beverage. It was huge ! The coffee comes in a nice big mug with lots of whipped cream. Nice and sweet! The pancakes are nice and thick and comes with house made vanilla custard topped with strawberries. A very sweet entree for me but she enjoyed it. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Place was busy on a Sunday as it was brunch.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I like the location and it has parking ! They do close at 3 as it's just breakfast and lunch. I did see they will be serving mimosas soon! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Nice and casual.... And glad to see it busy.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

I've been to Eggs Up Grill twice now. I'm actually really happy there's a sit down breakfast/brunch place on this side of town because it was a missing corner of the market and you can tell by the crowds that are flocking here. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The dining room has a bright and open feel with lots of tables and chairs in center with some banquet seating along the wall and some booths as well.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]They can accommodate larger parties by putting tables together but I wouldn't necessarily recommend it for that. They are better served with parties of 1-6 ppl given the size of the dining room.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]There is bar seating as well but they seat it like any other table so it's not a first come first served area like most restaurants. It works great for a single diner though![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We sat at a table the first time we came([[HIGHLIGHT]]I'm not a fan of these metal chairs most new restaurants are choosing. They are too narrow and uncomfortable.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They are inexpensive to purchase which is why I've been seeing them so frequently. You might want to wait for a booth or banquet seating to open up for a more comfortable dining experience. One plus is that Eggs Up Grill keeps all the condiments you might need on the table. I love this because I don't need to worry about asking for what I need. On my most recent visit, we ordered the 3 count croissant doughnuts and for our entrees I tried the Carne Asada burrito and my husband got the chorizo quesadilla. The croissant donuts are made to order and come out piping hot. They have a choice of caramel and powdered sugar topped or a seasonal flavor. The current seasonal flavor is Boston cream. We chose the caramel powdered sugar. When they arrived like I said, they are made to order and were super hot. I loved that! Unfortunately, the caramel and powdered sugar were a little light. After taking our first bites, we kind of wished they had been coated in sugar or something because they were a bit bland tasting with simply a little drizzle of caramel to give them any flavor. We should've asked for extra caramel and powdered sugar, but we just didn't bother. If you order this, I highly recommend you ask for a little cup of extra of whatever flavor you get because they will not put very much on. For $5.99 for three of these little croissant donuts I also don't feel like they are a very good value. Two dollars per little donut seems a little high in my opinion. When our entrées came, my burrito came with sour cream and salsa on the side. The chorizo quesadilla did not come with any condiments, but there is Texas Pete and Tabasco available plus our server offered to bring him sour cream and salsa if he wanted. My Carne Asada burrito was just the right size for me. It isn't a large portion, but it is filling. I wish there was a little more steak, but there were plenty of eggs and cheese and the flavors were good. I enjoyed putting sour cream and salsa on each bite. My husband's chorizo quesadilla had a lovely crusty outside because they grill it on a bed of cheese. That was one of the menu descriptions that made him choose it. The chorizo inside was very flavorful and he added a little Texas Pete to the inside of it, but other than that, he didn't need any other condiments. This is coming from a guy who loves sauce so it was surprising to me he didn't need anything else. This says a lot to the punch of flavor this quesadilla offers. We would definitely get it again. His one complaint was that the egg inside was not spread throughout the whole quesadilla. He shared a quarter with me and I didn't get any egg at all in my portion because it was an end portion. For being a newer restaurant in the area, I think they are still working out the kinks and trying to find the right staff to fit their pace. A lot of the mistakes come from an inexperienced kitchen and staff and managers that are new to running restaurants at busier times. Speaking from someone who has been involved in restaurants for over 30 years, the shortcomings I experienced are not going to sway me away from returning. They'll find their groove and hopefully remain as busy as they are and continue to grow. I'll be back to explore more of the menu at Eggs Up Grill.

I opted for the Hot Honey Chicken with Pimento Benedict and wow! I was nervous the pimento cheese would be overpowering, but it wasn't at all! It was a nice, creamy complement to the spicy crispy chicken. The hollandaise cut through some of the richness for a pleasant mellower. Prices are reasonable and our waitress was great! The restaurant is larger than it looks but it does get quite crowded. Can't wait to come back here!

This is a solid restaurant with much to offer in the brunch/breakfast area - an area that has become popular and chic, and it almost always means much will be expensive, usual very expensive considering the less than costly menu ingredients that drive food choices here, and other such brunch spots. Brunch is seen as more than just a meal for some folks who are all into what is trendy, and restaurant are aware of this and prices are raised due to the "experience" element! I have tried several items here including their version of Huevos Rancheros (not a fan of how they make it, pulled pork is a party foul), the Eggs Benedict (decent but over priced for sure, $17 with bacon added), and several Omelette choices, can reach $15. This is obviously a popular spot in downtown Winston, but I find it generally overpriced, loud, and the service is inconsistent. I like a good adventure, but somethings simply are not worth the cost! Note that the prices for individual items are written, very lightly with no $ sign to the right of the item. This is done intentionally to make the customer pay less attention to what they spending. Many restaurants are using some form of this approach!

I didn't expect the restaurant to be busy on a weeknight, but I was obviously wrong as the parking lot was nearly full. We found a spot at the rear of the restaurant and made our way inside. We were promptly greeted and shown to our table near the fireplace. A quick glance around confirmed that the place was jumping, which is good news for any restaurant during the middle of the week. A good balance of menu options from salads, sandwiches, fish, steaks, etc. Expect to pay $20-30 per person and some entrees are ala carte. They appear to have a good selection of wine, beers and cocktails from the long list in the menu. I went with the lasagna; my wife had the fish and chips; and my colleague went with the Beast Burger. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their selection. The temperature of my lasagna could have been a tad hotter, but it wasn't enough of an issue to send it back. I would order it again. Service was good throughout our visit, but I am deducting one star for the noise level. The high ceilings give the restaurant a beautiful lodge look and feel, but they make for a very loud dining experience. The sound level at times was more like a school cafeteria in my opinion. Perhaps a table on the side of the dining room would be quieter where nearby walls could help absorb some of the noise. Bottom line: not the place for a quiet, romantic dinner.

We came with the family for Mother's Day for the first time and really enjoyed it! The reviews and…read morepics looked great so we decided to try it. Here's what we thought: **Goat Cheese Butternut Squash Ravioli** Delicious but my Dad thought it was a little rich. The couple of bites I tried were excellent! The chicken was moist and well seasoned. **Moroccan BBQ Pork Chop** This was the best pork chop I've ever had. Moms agreed! Dad wished he had gotten the pork chop! This was his favorite out of the three meals we tried! **Prime Rib** I had to go all in and got the 12oz. It's the best prime rib I've had in years! They serve it with au jus and creamy horseradish. That creamy horseradish is exactly the way I like it, the au jus was a nice addition and the steak was cooked perfectly! I will definitely order again! This was my favorite out of the three entrees we tried. **Crispy Brussels Sprouts** We weren't as thrilled about these as everyone else. I thought they were dry and needed something more. Maybe they didn't add enough jam and/or balsamic this time? **Chorizo Potato Soup** Very nice! The sausage wasn't too overpowering and I like the creamy broth. Different than anything I've ever had but good.

There seem to be several mixed reviews, although some are older, so keep that in mind. However, on…read moreour visit here for a quick breakfast, it was very clean, pleasant, and quick. My wife and I split a margherita omelette, which I had never had this type of omelette, but my wife did on a previous visit, and it comes with a side of pancakes (3). She ordered a side of turkey sausage, and we both had coffee. So for this, we walked out full, and the food came before I got halfway on my first cup. I really enjoyed the roasted herb tomatoes and the basil; it was almost pizza-like, but that is not a bad thing. The pancakes were not that good according to my wife, but I didn't have the same opinion, and the coffee was just what I needed that rainy day.

I liked blueberry more because you could taste both the blueberry and lavendar, but my fiancé liked the lemonade one more. The sweet tart was just sugar. A bit too sickly sweet for us. The blood orange was okay. Tasted as you'd expect. The midtown was a classic but nothing special. The raspberry limeade was okay. You could taste the raspberry but not so much the limeade. Peach mojito tasted like a peach bellini, so that one was really good - my fiancé's favorite. He ordered the meat and cheese omelette with turkey sausage. It was a lot of meat, maybe even too much. It was more meat than egg. Then, the egg itself was lackluster. It wasn't fluffy either. Cheese was fine. Overall would not get again. But the pancakes were pretty good. It made up for the omelette. I ordered the shrimp and grits. Grits were loose in a good way. You could imagine warming them up later would be fine since they didn't start off so thick. The shrimp was okay. Overcooked but carried the whole dish to be better than it was without it. The bacon bits threw me off for some reason so didn't like that, and the cheese was fine. Overall, wouldn't order the entrees again but will be back for Friday $12 mimosa flight special and try something different to eat.
