Listen! This place was amazing. I've had several breakfast/brunch spots in the Tampa/Brandon/Riverview area and this place by far exceeds all my expectations. My friend and I wanted to support a local Black-owned business for MLK Day so we were pleased they were open. The staff is so diverse and very professional. They even have their hometowns on their name tags which was a cute convo starter. We were immediately seated and once we took one look at the menu, we knew we needed a bigger table to share entrees & they happily accommodated us. We ordered a bit of everything honestly. Literally everything was amazing, from the shrimp & grits to the mimosas, to the waffle & that Philly cheesesteak eggs Benedict... everything was cooked and seasoned to perfection. I was thoroughly impressed the shrimp and grits was loaded with shrimp and the sauce was so flavorful. My friend had the loaded potato bowl and said the potatoes were crispy and pleasant. The wait staff weren't the only friendly faces, the manager came out and greeted us, even one of the bus boys came by to see how we enjoyed our meal. Oh and let me not forget that hazelnut praline coffee, my my my... they hit my spirit deep down and had me dancing and eating the entire meal. The decor was beautiful diner style and I can definitely see myself as a regular customer. I hope they start a customer program because they are definitely my new brunch/breakfast spot. Great job with the creative & flavorful menu. Definitely a local gem that I just might visit every week, at least once! read more

Ate there twice, the food wasn't hot, coffee tasted horrible. Home fries weren't cooked long enough they were hard to eat. Wouldn't suggest this eatery to anyone. read more

I had an issue with my call in order being a little late, I had to leave because I was on lunch break, I phoned the manager when I got to the call, the manager was so kind and asked if they could deliver the food to me. I was just upset because they told me the food was ready when I had gotten there, just the hostess never went to check. It is really hard to find good workers now a days. But I applaud the manager for being understanding. read more

Delicious food and friendly service!!! Not long of a wait! Ordered eggs bacon and pancake

Food is amazing but the last few times we have been there service has been bad. Once the kitchen didn't have enough help so it was 2 hours before we got our food. Today our waitress was horrible! She took our order and that was all, no drink refills, she didn't bring our food out and it was cold, when we asked for silverware she rolled her eyes at me. Then we waited 30 minutes for a check. Even then she rolled her eyes at me. If you get jazmine P as a waitress make sure you have zero expectations. Worst server I have ever had. read more

it was as i feared... we came back during busier hours and our experience was horrible. let's just say i will not be coming back for the following reasons: 1) busser reusing dirty rag to wipe down pretty much every surface imaginable. you're just smooshing food bits and carryover germs everywhere at this point.... not sanitary at all. i had to use my own alcohol wipes to clean my table 2) the restaurant smelled of that sweet, wet, moldy scent that you get at a dive bar 3) host staff... where do i begin. unfriendly & disorganized. we put our name on the list and asked to be texted when table was ready, went to our car to wait. saw all kinds of folks walking in and getting sat ahead of us. finally went in to ask at 20 min mark and was sat right away, no explanation for why we were waiting that whole time. *in response to restaurant, these new guest being sat ahead of us were NEW walk ins. we were waiting in our car and saw them park, walk in & get seated, which is what prompted us to follow up. also i have a text from putting myself on waitlist, yet none to inform me that my table was ready. there was no follow up from host stand as assured. i had to walk in to remind the staff that i was still waiting for a table, at which point they sat me at a already open table that needed reminding was available. 4) bus station out in plain view. this is one of my biggest pet peeves, esp during busy times when servers just dump stuff into the bus tray. it was disgusting, smelled, overflowing & in plain sight. all they had to do was put it behind the kitchen door, but seemed too much of an inconvenience for service staff. when they finally had to roll it away to empty it out, there was spilt food, tickets, straws, and liquids all over the floor under the station. someone got a mop and half heartedly went over the mess, which just mixed the debris about. then the empty cart was rolled over right on top of the mess to start the cycle over again. *in response to restaurant, yes it is common practice to have bus stations out in the open, but not to have it be so unkempt. i enjoyed this place upon my initial visit so i really wanted to love my second visit! it was disheartening for us to see as well. we sat there for over one hour watching all this and didn't get one piece of food. it's a diner... the kitchen seemed to be putting dishes together one order at a time instead of all-daying orders. we ended up canceling our food and leaving because tables that had been there way ahead of us were still waiting to get their orders & by this point, really couldn't stomach anything coming out of this restaurant. *in response to restaurant -- if you have hosts, you can control the flow of customers in the restaurant to address shortage in staff. perhaps sacrificing customer experience vs filling restaurant might be something to weigh read more

Firstly, the waitstaff is doing a great job! The kitchen...bless their hearts...needs leadership, desperately! The veggie omelette was well-prepared and very good, the home fries were plated too soon and not quite warm. My waitress had to ask for my toast several times and apologized to me each time. I actually had almost finished when my toat arrived. One table had left because they waited more than 1/2 hour for their food. The floor wasn't that busy, no excuses. Next Sunday, I'm bringing cash to tip my server so that she doesn't have to split the tip with the kitchen. The kitchen will get my usual 15%, I'm not "that" person. Overall, once the kitchen gets their act together, I will post a better review. If they earn it. read more

I saw the place on the news a fees months right before it opened and finally was able to grace. This place definitely did not disappoint. My favorite was the shrimp and grits and the bananas Foster French toast. The staff and owner were friendly and efficient. So glad to have a great restaurant with great affordable food. The breakfast food kind of reminds me of Boca and Oxford exchange's brunch but more reasonably priced. read more

Great menu selection, we had the shrimp and grits omelet, basically a shrimp omelet. Grits with roasted spinach and tomatoes . Also had the goodness gracious inlet and a side pancake The grits was very salty, and to much cheese The pancake didn't taste the best but the texture was perfect .. I like crispy edges but they made the entire pancake crispy. I'll go back but have something different. read more

Avoid at all costs. Worst dining experience of my life. Hour long wait to be seated when clean open tables were clearly visible. Then another 45 minute wait for food to be delivered and they only brought one of our meals. Waited another 10 minutes for my sandwich. A Turkey BLT. Bread was so soggy it was inedible. Yelp needs a star with a 'no' symbol on it for places like this. read more

Nice casual breakfast/brunch spot. Service is always good, the prices are great and you get good portion sizes.

The pancakes were not very good, and my 4 year old son threw up his food. Bacon should be crispy, not wiggly and jiggly. I believe in supporting BO businesses but they will never get another dollar of ours. Our server, however, was good and punctual. read more

So first let me say that I LOVE this restaurant! Atmosphere is friendly, upbeat, and warm. Today however was a lackluster experience. I order the same thing every time I come. The delicious strawberry cheesecake pancakes. Today my order arrived after a long wait and it was cold. I asked for it to be remade and the pancakes arrived hard and flat. Third time is a charm I guess because it was up to the usual standards. Lisa our waitress was helpful and kind. My partner was finished with his order by the time mine finally arrived so it kind of ruined our experience. Hopefully our experience the next time will be better. read more

Not my first time here but this time was horrible. Told it would be a 15 min wait which turned into about 40 minutes. People were leaving but they were not sitting anyone because the kitchen was backed up with to go orders. When we finally got seated - I went through 2 cups of coffee and could of went through more while we waited for our food. In the meantime I'm watching the kitchen park up black to go containers for over 25 minutes. Still not getting out food - a major disappointment. So ready to just walk out. read more

Always a great spot to have breakfast I love the hash here and the portion size it's perfect , had to go so I couldn't sit but the spot is nice atmosphere is as well . Food doesn't miss read more

The inside was cute, but the service was so slow. Took way too long to get water and had to wait 30 minutes to even put our order in. The food was okay. Disappointed that this place was not better. read more

This spot is amazing! I placed an online order which was ready early. Before I could pull up into the parking spot, they were bringing my order out to my car. Food was delicious and the right temperature. The Hubster had the shrimp and grits omlette. He loved it! His only complaint was he wanted more grits! More please!! I had the Three Deuces which was fabulous. I have to travel this way frequently. I will be back! read more

This is my third time here. The food always takes long. First two times there were a lot of people. Today, it was less than one third full. Food not only took 30 minutes but also when it came, it was missing my toast. The waitresses where talking for 15 minutes without asking if anyone want it something else. Very disappointed. read more

I travel a lot for work and like to try at least one or 2 local places. I was looking for breakfast and mimosa and this place popped up in the search. It was pretty busy but I was able to sit at the counter right away. I ordered a BLT egg sammy and a poinsettia. The sandwich was good enough, but a little messy. The lettuce in the sandwich had a large rib which isn't very pleasant or easy to eat on a small sandwich. The poinsettia was yummy and reasonably priced for the size of the glass. I had two. I would definitely come back to try something less basic. I really liked the vibe and the servers were friendly. read more

First time patronizing this Black owned business and was totally disappointed! The shrimp and grits bowl was tasteless and the shrimp were very fishy! The eggs were so loosely scrambled and tasteless. The hash was no better. The best thing was the loaded home fries however it needed salt and peeper extra but the best thing we had we wound up sharing it! It may be my fault because I had high expectations but driving from St. pete was such a waste of time and er still need to eat!! Sorry not sorry! I would have told one of the owners directly but he never came back to "ask the question" he said he wanted to ask. I totally dreaded doing this review however things need to change! Signed a hungry black couple that spent $65 bucks. Plus a tip along with an hour long drive. #wearehangry read more

The food is awesome! I've only gotten it on DoorDash but it's so amazing! I can't wait to go in person.

Legit one of the best breakfast spots in the Tampa area. They're very new still, so they're very busy but you can tell they're trying to maintain safe capacity measures for the pandemic. We arrived at noon and there was a 3hour wait. No big deal as we just ordered carry out instead. While we were waiting, the gentleman working at the host desk started a pleasant conversation with us. I feel bad that I can't remember his name but he is from the east coast of FL (Ormond?). Anyway, he was a really nice guy and made our wait enjoyable. So, outstanding customer service stars for him. Then we get the food and nearly ate it in the car because it smelled & looked so good. I got the Egg Bomb BLT and my husband had the Waffle Sandwich with potatoes. HOLY SMOKES the food was amazing. So, another 5 stars for the menu! Next time we'll call ahead for the waitlist, but we'll for sure return. Can't wait to try the other dishes! read more

I love the atmosphere and customer service. It is very clean and accommodating. Although I was here spending Valentines Day alone, I felt a sense of love from the employees (even got some kisses [Hersheys] when I left). The Caramel Cinnamon Smile is and my southern bowl was so 'on point' that I can't wait to eat the leftovers . Oh and last but not least, they honor Military & First Responders with a discount . #Salute read more

Passed the restaurant and thought it looked decent so I stopped by before going to work. Place was clean, bright, and airy with a nice soundtrack playing. I placed order online and it took about 38 minutes to get the order when online stated it should have been ready in 15. Got turkey sausage, "cheese" grits and egg whites. I was not too impressed but it was serviceable. Eggs were ok, sausage a little rubbery, and grits had cheese sitting on top. Bread was good. Wouldn't go out of the to way to go back. Especially if i have somewhere to be. read more

This was our 5th or 6th time here and everything was great!!! Lisa is the best. We will be back!! Oh Yeah, be sure to get there early as they have a great $8.00 special but you MUST be there before 8am. If you are one second late (after 8:00) you will miss the special. read more

So I had to come back and give my feedback for these 5 stars. The food was delicious. I ordered the Steak and Eggs today but I come here often enough to have gone around the menu. The food for me has always been on point and when there was an issue, they took care of it. The staff is always friendly and every time I see either of the owners there, they are interacting with the customers and it feels genuine not forced or scripted. I barely leave reviews unless I really hated the experience or really loved it. I had to give this place it's due kudos. I wish I could express better how much I enjoy this establishment instead I'll post this review on every review board I can. read more

Friendly staff, good food, good service. Owner was also attentive and friendly to the customers. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Finally had a good breakfast down in Tampa. We are visiting from New York and struggled to find someone to cook an egg lol. Eggs up is definitely on the top of our list if we ever return. I had the founders hash and eggs. Corn beef has was nice and crispy. Eggs were the perfect over medium. My girlfriend had just eggs bacon and home fries. And by reading all the previous reviews they've definitely fixed there bacon problem lol. Bacon was super crispy end fully cooked. Best Grits I've had in Florida! Waitstaff was very friendly and attentive. Thank you we will be back! read more

My husband placed an order to go (Texas farmhouse omelet) on Sunday December 6th. He asked for no mushrooms and the sausage gravy on the side. He was quoted 15-20 minutes. We arrived before the 15-20 minutes ended so we sat in the parking lot. It was definitely busy (it was around 10:30am) so it was encouraging as I hoped to have a great experience with this B.O.B. Unfortunately 15-20 minutes turned into 40-50 minutes from the time the order was placed at 10:15am. So he opted to get a refund as he had paid upon arriving thinking his order would be coming up. After we left he received a phone call from Olivia stating that the kitchen staff was short that day and she apologized and offered to give him the next meal on the house Fast-forward to Saturday December 12th, around 845/9am we tried again. Same order except adding a side of grits and a hot cocoa. The food was provided however the order was inaccurate. Mushrooms were included and the gravy was on top of the omelet although the omelet was requested with no mushrooms and gravy on the side. The food was mediocre. Nothing to write home about. I was hopeful for a better experience but will not be trying them again. read more
