We thought we would try this place since we're always looking for new breakfast restaurants. We were seated for about 15 minutes and no one came over to take our order or even acknowledge we were there. People who came in after us were waited on. So we left. I read so many great reviews about this place and was excited to check it out when we were in the area on Sunday. Unfortunately our experience wasn't the best. We were told there was a 30 minute wait and would be texted when they were ready to seat us, so we waited in our car. When we got the text at 12:18 pm (within the 30 minutes) we went inside and we're seated next to the door. We waited 15 minutes and finally told the hostess that a server hasn't been over at all. Not even a greeting. After another 5 minutes we got a server and ordered drinks. About 5 minutes later we got our drinks and ordered. Our food arrived at 1:10. This was the saving grace as the food was very good. We ordered crab cake Benedict and a biscuit and gravy. They brought about a half cup of gravy for the biscuit, which was strange and definitely not enough. We get portion control, but sausage gravy isn't expensive to make. On the Benedict our poached eggs were perfect and the hollandaise was delicious. We just needed more hollandaise sauce as they weren't very generous with it. We noticed the people that were there before us weren't getting their food very quickly either. It may have been due to their kitchen working so many to go orders as we saw several people picking up orders. This happens a lot and we wish that restaurants would close the to go orders down when they are getting overwhelmed and focus on getting food to the people that are there in person. Even if you are extremely busy, a simple greeting by a server is appropriate once a table is sat. Just please stop by and say "hello, I'll be your server. I'll be with you in just a couple minutes." That would go a long way to at least acknowledge your customers. read more

Food was mediocre, service was ok. Seated pretty fast, not much social distancing. Initially I thought I would come here if I wanted something simple to go but I won't be coming back. I specifically asked my server if I was able to order the shrimp and grits without the sausage and she confidently said yes. I've been a Pescatarian since 2018, so when I eat meat I get an upset stomach. I was sick for the rest of the day & my husband found some sausage in the leftover grits. Wanted to try this place out after many positive reviews. Reviewed the menu, as there were some unique menus items that caught me eye. I had the shrimp and grits omelette. It did not disappoint, very tasty and omelette was filled with plenty of shrimp and sausage. Grits were tasteful as well my wife had the loaded home fry bowl which was also met with rave reviews. The portion size was very good as we took home some for later consumption. Service was attentive, we actually had some come by and ask how service was. Disappointing. Food was OK. Served HOT out of the kitchen. But, WOW, the service was frenetic. Too many employees milling around carrying on conversations right in front of us. One was moving at a snails pace. Our waitress was covering too many bases and we were ultimately ignored. The seats are super uncomfortable (good, if flipping tables fast is the objective). Unfortunately i did not even get a chance to try the food because the host had me wanting a hour to be seated and i saw from my car she went on and sat other parties. One was a party of ten(i never received my text to tell me my table was ready). when it became too long to wait i went in where she advised the facility was short staffed with two waiters and that i needed to be put back on the waiting list.... We were here last weekend and I must the food and service was great, the waffles with pecans are awesome!!!!

The egg bowl was served over cooked. Potatoes were burnt and you had to hunt for the tiny sausage pieces. The egg sandwich had wilted lettuce and the bacon had foaming grease and a brownish tint color probably old bacon. The grits were good and the mocha coffee was tasty. Good atmosphere server was nice. We were not checked on again until food arrived, cold, at 12:40. Asked for a few refills on drinks at that time. All dishes left a lot to be desired, bland, greasy, and cold. Biscuits were extremely hard on the bottoms, couldn't even cut them. When we finally got our food, the place was only about 1/4 full. I had an issue with my call in order being a little late, I had to leave because I was on lunch break, I phoned the manager when I got to the call, the manager was so kind and asked if they could deliver the food to me. She took our order and that was all, no drink refills, she didn't bring our food out and it was cold, when we asked for silverware she rolled her eyes at me. Then we waited 30 minutes for a check. Firstly, the waitstaff is doing a great job! The kitchen...bless their hearts...needs leadership, desperately! The veggie omelette was well-prepared and very good, the home fries were plated too soon and not quite warm. My waitress had to ask for my toast several times and apologized to me each time. I actually had almost finished when my toat arrived. One table had left because they waited more than 1/2 hour for their food. The floor wasn't that busy, no excuses. Next Sunday, I'm bringing cash to tip my server so that she doesn't have to split the tip with the kitchen. The kitchen will get my usual 15%, I'm not "that" person.
