Eggs 'N Things is in a great location in Ko Olina right across the way from Aulani and Four Seasons. It's a short walk across the street and within a strip mall with boutiques and other shops. We visited this restaurant twice during our stay. The service was excellent and quick. The food was AMAZING. POG juice mimosas, macadamia nut waffles with coconut syrup, jalapeño fried rice, loco moco (best on the island IMO)... I'm still thinking about it all to this day. If you're in the Ko Olina area, this is a MUST visit. It does get busy so arrive as early as possible. They were very thorough with checking vaccinations records and had us fill out a Google Form to check in. From the beginning the experience could have been better. Their credit card reader wasnt working on the day we went and it was cash only. On the bright side the line cleared out quick. My biggest complain is that our omelets were not cooked all the way through. Once we cut into them the egg was runny and just not what I expect from an omelet and not just one, all three of them! Also, was disappointed that the spam was just tossed in there and not fried a bit. The only thing we did enjoy on this visit was the French Toast. They were fresh, warm and deliciious. We used to always visit the Waikiki location and was always satisfied with the breakfast offerings over there. It was very touristy, of course, since it was in Waikiki. Fast forward a few years and they open a joint in the Koolina area near all the resorts. It is still touristy, but because its near Kapolei, there's also a bunch of locals who visit the place. We ordered this pancake concoction with fruit and a heap of whip cream with mac nuts. And also a loco moco. The loco moco was pretty good. Pretty standard fare. But the pancakes were pretty awesome. I love the taste of the pancake, and this version is a touch sweeter than normal ones. Maybe it's the powdered sugar or the tons of fruits on top of the flapjacks. Yeah, it's pricey, but it's in a tourist town, and at least they include tons of fruit. Their coffee is awesome too. Not sure where they get it, but it is ono. If you're in the area, definitely try out this place. One star docked because we came on a really slow weekday. With basically one group in the restaurant. I wanted to sit, but because my brother was not yet present, the hostess didn't allow us in. Look, I get why they have the rule. But come on. Bottom line: tourist trap and avoid it. What we ordered: Hawaiian Pancake Sampler, Loco Moco, Eggs Benedict w/potatoes I love breakfast. Eggs, Portuguese sausage, pancakes, waffles, fried rice, etc. All those things I love. I sometimes have breakfast for dinner! This place though... oh no! So many things wrong with it. Let's see: 1) food was burnt! One side of our loco moco patty was burnt crisp! I am not talking a beautiful flame broiled patty, I am talking "no sunscreen hiking Kaena point at noon" crisp. It was so burnt that you couldn't cut through it with your fork. We ended up just chopping that side off. 2) Wait was incredibly long. We did take out because of the pandemic and was told 30 minutes. That was fine with us but over an hour passed by and we still didn't get our food. We ended up getting the food at 8:45am and we put the order in at 7:30. 3) Food was cold! I know what you're thinking, it is cold because I took it home and ate it, but nope! It was cold when we received it! (2 of our 3 plates. They said, without checking, they never heard my name yet. After the hour mark, I asked them to check the back table because a whole bunch of to go orders where just sitting there... and VOILA! There it was. I asked how long it has been sitting there (after watching other orders come out for some time now) and she lies and says "it just came out, feel, still hot." Unreal! I learned my lesson. So many better places than this with better tasting food, better wait time, and better service. I come here for the macadamia nut pancakes and coconut syrup. I had them 10 years ago and have been thinking about them ever since. It's dangerous to go back to try a food that you've deemed epic in your mind that many years because it always almost disappoint. I'm happy to say that the pancakes are still delicious. They also make their whipped cream in house and it is sooooo good. The kids ended up eating my leftover pancake so I had to come back again the next day. Husband gets the veggie omelet and it's delicious as well. Most of the staff are very friendly. They seem pretty efficient as there's a crowd most mornings and they get people in and out quickly. I had high hopes with their large menu and delicious looking photos on their menu, but I was definitely wrong. I got the "fresh" strawberry & Nutella crepe, and fresh is not a word to describe these strawberries. They are old and look like they could grow mold any second. Way too pricey for strawberries that aren't fresh & for a crepe that is mushy and salty in areas when I didn't ask for anything salty. The crepe itself falls apart to the point where it's hard to even pick up with a fork. Will not be coming back here super disappointed. With that being said I have an update. Went back and they gave me a refund & pancakes which tasted much better. They provided butter and syrup as well. Very nice of them to do this and for that I changed my 1 star to 3 stars. read more

Service: This place has the most friendly host in the front but everything stopped there. Seating was slow although 1/3 of this restaurant was empty. Seating pattern was weird. Counter seats were given to two parties of 2 instead of a family of 3 in front of them. Everyone else really taking their time on their tasks. Food and price: Macadamia nut pancake was my number one option. I ordered the rainbow pancake. Presentation was good ; price was also outrageous, $20. It will be nice if they use more local seasonal fruits instead of offering preserved cherries on waffles. We are in Hawaii, should totally take advantage of it. I have been here a couple of times and so far have been very happy with the food. The jalapeño fried is absolutely delicious and hands down one of my favorite meals. You really can't go wrong with the pancakes and if you love whipped cream, then this is a great choice. The breakfast wrap/burrito is also a great choice, I'd recommend adding sour cream and jalapeños. The salsa that comes with it is really good but different since they use a cucumber base. Only thing I have not enjoyed is sitting outside. Unfortunately there are tons of birds and i got poop in my coffee, on my burrito, and on my arm. If you have a choice to sit inside, I'd recommend dining in. If you sit outside try to stay under the umbrellas as best as you can or you will likely be a target. The servers are also really friendly which is a bonus. If you plan to go for breakfast try to sign up on the waitlist via Yelp, otherwise the wait can be a little long. read more

It was my daughter's birthday. We had walked over from Aulani. She was wearing a birthday button. This was our first trip to Hawaii for our family of 5. We stayed at the Aulani Resort. Across the street was a little breakfast spot called Eggs 'n Things. UNBELIEVABLE breakfast. Hands down best breakfast we've ever had. We went 3 of the days for breakfast and 1 time for lunch. I sounded like Bill Murray in "What About Bob" with every bite. Definitely look at the local favorites and go for it. You can't go wrong! As amazing as the food was, it didn't compare to the one and only Scotty. He does it all! What a treat for a Vegetarian! This is one of the largest breakfast menus I've seen in a while, not to mention the specials board, making it tough to choose. They have veggie patties, fruit bowls, veggie omelettes and a page full of pancakes and crepes. Oh, everything tasted great too. Came here on a Wednesday at 11am. Parking is hard because there's so many other businesses around. No Kama'aina discount. Whatever corned beef they're using is mushy, the fried rice tasted fishy. Keiki loco moco meat was spoiled- my daughter ate half of it and said "it tastes funny." So I took a bite and it tasted sour. Scraped the gravy off and saw that it was red and smelled spoiled. That will teach me to check my kid's food before eating it. EVERY SINGLE WORKER in this place is amazing; from the host to our server Ashley, to the manager. Great customer service. It's very clean. Food and service good, but several hidden fees. First off, theres no printed menu given, so you'll need to scan the QR code at the table to see the menu. There's a 3% credit and debit card fee that's printed at the bottom of the online menu. So you'd have to scroll past the menu items to see the fee statement. Nor is it mentioned that there will be a charge when paying by card. Next is a kitchen fee that I couldn't find anywhere, except on the receipt. Fee? Fee for what? Pay your staff more instead of the customers paying an undisclosed fee. We ate outdoors, where there were a lot of doves and myna birds, who were allowed to peck at the leftovers before the table was cleared. read more

Customer service is awesome, people are awesome, vibez are awesome, and the food BOMB! You must try their pancakes topped with whipped cream along with their sauces.
