My husband loves the Koa Pancake House. We were in Kapolei one early morning and he wanted to eat here. We got the cheese omelette, which came with a side of buttermilk pancakes. It was about $11or $12. I can't remember. It's not on the menu, but you can ask for it. We also got the fried rice 1 egg $9.50. It comes with a choice of Portuguese sausage or Spam. I got it with Portuguese sausage. The food was good. I like their fried rice. They cooked my over easy egg perfectly. The pancakes were really fluffy. read more

Koa Pancake House - Breakfast & Brunch Near Me - Kapolei, Hawaii

It's lively, it's friendly, and it's a great place to stop by for breakfast. Located in a plaza, parking is abundant and free, although it could be tough to find a spot during high traffic hours. I opted for their breakfast plate with sausages, over medium eggs, and a side of blueberry pancakes and honestly, I still think about those pancakes. They were soft and fluffy and I have yet to find anything similar back home. While it was packed on a weekend morning, the workers assisted us in finding a table which we greatly appreciated. Overall, the vibes were great, the food was delicious, and it's a definite must stop if you're in the area. read more

When you walk in, you're immediately greeted by the friendly staff. The menu is up on the wall so it's very easy to see what the options are. You can't sit down inside. It's nice. It's a paper plate kind of place but it gets the job done. The food comes out very fast and it is delicious and huge portion. A great value if you're looking to save some money or share a meal for two. The ambience is like a quick café kind of breakfast place, but you can see the palm tree swaying outside and it's definitely got an island vibe. Would recommend to come here for early morning breakfast in Kapolei read more

I absolutely love the Koa Pancake House and make it a point to visit at least a few times every trip to the island, especially when I'm staying at Aulani, the Disney Resort in the Kapolei area. Everything about this place is AMAZING, and it's the perfect spot for a morning breakfast. I really enjoy the corned beef hash, Spam, and their pancakes especially the banana pancake is my personal favorite. The staff are incredibly friendly, and I always enjoy my fresh cup of coffee with my meal. Staff are very fast and efficient if you're in a rush, but I usually like to stick around, relax, and enjoy my coffee while taking in the breakfast. It's such great way to start the day and delicious start to the day, and I can't recommend it enough! read more

I was craving pancakes and wanted local food (and prices) but so we decided to venture over from the resorts. We arrived around 10:30 on a Tuesday and it was pretty busy, but we were able to find a table and peruse the menu until we were ready to order at the counter. We ordered: - Chunky Monkey Full Stack Pancakes -- big portion with a heap of whipped cream on the top. There were plenty of chocolate chips, and they were high quality. Also a good amount of bananas and mac nuts. - Vinha D'Alhos Breakfast Burrito -- really good flavor but a little small. - Breakfast Plate with Portuguese Sausage, Scrambled Eggs and Pancakes -- big portions and the sausage had good flavor. They forgot to bring the short stack but apologized when we reminded them. Total was $51 including tip and drinks. The fried rice looked really good. Next time I want to try that. Only downside is the Diet Pepsi. The interior is nothing special but is clean and decorated with some local art. read more

So ono! We tried a variety of things here, but our favorite was the loco moko. The service was quick, the pricing was fair, and the staff were courteous. It gets very busy, but it was worth the wait. The inside is a bit small for how busy it gets, but there are picnic tables outside as well so that js great! read more

Stopped by Koa Pancake House for brunch and had a really great experience. I ordered the Chunk Monkey pancakes, and they were fluffy, soft, and very filling. The sweetness was just right and not overpowering, making them easy to enjoy all the way through. The portion size was generous and felt like a great value for the price. The restaurant itself is bright, clean, and cheerful, with a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. It is not a fancy spot since they use paper plates and plastic utensils, but it actually fits the casual, comfortable vibe and makes it feel easygoing and approachable. The staff were friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, greeting us with smiles and making sure everything was going well. My family also ordered the eggs Benedict and French toast, and both came in large portions. The dishes looked very appealing and tasted just as good, making it a solid choice for groups with different brunch preferences. Overall, Koa Pancake House delivers big portions, good prices, and consistently satisfying food in a happy, laid back environment. I would definitely come back again. read more

I ordered takeout from Koa Pancake House and was really looking forward to a comforting meal. Unfortunately, when I got home, most of the food was burnt. Such a letdown. This place has local breakfast with local prices. The macadamia nut pancakes are my go to whenever I stop by.

We got the Koa moco and vinha d'alhos moco plates. Koa: this was a corned beef hash + hamburger combo over a fried rice (extra), with scrambled eggs. Great value for $17! The fried rice was fine, nothing special. I'd probably skip it and just get regular rice. The corned beef hash was awesome and very flavorful. The patty was hefty, but under salted. I'd probably just get beef hash next time. Vinha: for me, the pork was slightly sour, but that's just what vinha is. I personally wasn't expecting that. The build a mocos are great value and can easily feed two people. read more

I always like to wrap up our trip with breakfast before heading to the airport with flight home. I did a Yelp search and found this restaurant. Bookmarked it. As we drove up and entered the restaurant, we got a Deja vu feeling. Hey we've been here before. The three of us ordered the same thing- one egg made to order, two pancakes, and choice of sausage or bacon. And three cups of drip coffee. Our orders were walked over to our table. Everything was good. Pancakes fluffy. Then later I reviewed the previous Yelp reviews and it turned out I wrote a Yelp review 11 years ago. No wonder we said it felt like we'd been here before. I missed my own review! This time we noticed many mobile orders. That didn't exist before. Hopefully it won't be another 11 years before we return. read more

This is our go to place when headed to a morning at the beach. We call head, our regular order of one Koa breakfast burrito. Has Portuguese Sausage, egg and potato. Its large enough that we split it. Under 8.00. We take it with us and enjoy the views of our favorite little cove. We also take family here when they visit for a sit down with Macadamia Pancakes or order something for the beach. They have always been happy with the pancakes. Sister loved their vegetarian burrito, said it was one of the best one she's tried. Service is always fast whether it's to go or dine in. read more

The service was super good, I've ordered my food and I bet you not. 7 minutes later I'm already eating. Fast service and great jobs to the 4 ladies that were in the front. Even though it was super busy and I was the last one to order in line it still came out hot and fast! Appreciation to the cook (Jr), the presentation and the service was on point! This place was pretty good. It didn't really knock my socks off but everything tasted good here!. The gal we had for our server was nice and took great care of us and the staff overall were all very kind. It definitely has a diner feel and inside is designed as such. The pancakes are huge I will say and is enough for two for sure but they were nice and fluffy and definitely hit the spot! The crepes were very good as well and tasted great. Generous portions and good prices, their food never disappoints. Also the staff is vibrant and fun. Lots of choices to choose from. Koa Pancake House is one of my go-to places for breakfast because they have a really good selection and reasonably priced! The Kapolei location is my usual choice but once in a while I go to the Waipahu one because there is a Starbucks nearby. The folks are nice at either location! I usually get the trio plate (two scoops rice, two eggs, bacon, pork sausage links and Portuguese sausage) or an omelet. You can choose other starches instead of rice like hash browns, home fried potatoes, or fried rice (extra cost for fried rice). Pancakes are always done perfectly, and you can ask for coconut syrup if you prefer. You can order online, the night before if you want, and your order will be waiting for you next morning at the time you request! read more

From the menu I was supposed to choose my meat, then how I wanted my eggs and lastly my choice of side. For the side I was charged $9.50 for my Mac nut pancakes instead of $2.50. When I asked why, they said it was because of the white rice I had received which I never ordered. read more

The staff was very nice and friendly which pains me to give a poor review. The place is a bit older with no restroom within the facilities. The tables and chairs are very dated. We got the steak plate and the trio with banana pancakes and ube pancakes. The banana pancake and the trio came first within maybe 5 minutes after ordering. The steak and ube came 15-20 min after the other items were brought out. And I was giving them the benefit of the doubt since it's a harder dish to make. The fried rice we so burnt. I tried picking apart the burnt pieces but ended up accidentally eating a few mixed in. But the fried rice was not burnt on the trio. I also asked for a medium steak, it was very well done and dry. I only was able to take a bite out of the ube pancakes and that was pretty good. But I left very disappointed with the meal. read more
