We had the best breakfast here this morning! Everyone in our party ordered something different so we try things out. So we had the Loco Moco, Banana Pancakes, the Kaluha pork plate with fried rice, a bacon, egg, and cheese breakfast sandwich, and an açaí bowl. Let me start by saying ALL the food was stellar, but those banana pancakes with the Mac nut syrup are simply beyond words. So soooo good! I also discovered that I like spam fried rice! It was super tasty! I got so full I ended up taking my açaí bowl with me and ate it a little later. It was the best one I have ever had! Sooooooo good! But the best part of our experience was the staff. Our server was awesome. She was so friendly in addition to being very helpful and attentive. She even came out and waved bye to us as we were leaving! Why are you still reading this? Get yourself over to Spinners and tell them the NC girls sent ya! Just remember that they are only open from about 6:30am until 2pm or 3pm. And...they do offer their full breakfast and lunch menus all day. read more

I came here on vacation and was not disappointed. I haven't tried to go out much in this area, but seems like there are few (if not limited quality) dining options. That being said, I recommend spinners to visit. The cafe had attentive, friendly employees and tasty food. I personally ordered the cookie butter French toast which was amazing. It was sweet and decadent without being nauseatingly so. I tried a bite of my boyfriends omelette which was also very tasty. The restaurant itself was clean and had a nice beach cafe feel to it. I love you, Spinners. Although I've only eaten here 3x, my other half and his family has been coming here FOREVER. Their BANANA PANCAKES are in no comparison to other places, loveeee the mac nut sauce. Dining in, I feel like home which is a good thing cause fancy-schmancy is a no-no for me. i've only ever ordered their food through Uber Eats, but from how delicious the food is I definitely want to dine in! The first time I ordered through Uber Eats they didn't have their Kalua Moco so I tried their regular Loco Moco instead. Their portions are HUGE! My boyfriend got their breakfast platter that comes with a breakfast meat, he added fried rice, an egg, and toast. For some reason, there's just something about this place that hits different. I know it sounds like regular breakfast food, but I would rather order here than from most breakfast places on Oahu. The second time i ordered from Uber Eats I finally got to try their Kalua Moco and it was so delicious. Their Kalua Moco is definitely my go-to from this restaurant. I also got to try their banana pancakes -- also a huge portion and so delicious. Definitely feeds more than two people. I'm looking forward to dining in soon! :-) read more

My daughters love the fried rice breakfast. At $15 it's pricey but since I don't eat fried rice nor make it, I appreciate it here.

Good breakfast spot. Love the grilled cheese. Other breakfast options incentivizes that local diet but definitely worth it.

If they could get 6 stars, I would give it to them. Spinners had wonderful breakfast and it really hit the spot after a morning of swimming. I had the pancakes were delicious, but next time I plan on eating the loco moco. One huge plus about this experience was the friendly customer service. Cute little marina cafe that was very clean and the staff are incredibly friendly! Their hotdogs are very good quality and yummy! The hard to please son had a grilled ham and cheese and said it was awesome. My husband had a tuna salad sandwich on toasted bread and he said it was excellent. I have definitely been living under a rock, omg...... This whole time i thought this place was an office for the harbor LOL. I discovered this place and instantly fell in love! The customer service is fast and friendly. The dine in area is clean, homey and inviting. They do take ebt for acai bowls and idk what else you are able to get with ebt. There are so many things on the menu to eat, everyone has something to eat here. I loved everything we tried! Especially their fries and special sauce, omg... I've never been to this cafe, because it's at the boat harbor and I would have never associated good food with the harbor. (Sorry, just being honest) But, I'm always down for looking for great places to eat and even better when they're in my back yard, So I decided to check them out. Wow! What a great experience I had this morning! I'm a local, born and raised in Nanakuli. If you're not from Hawaii, basically a couple of miles down the road from here. I ordered the Roast Pork Loco Moco and it was really good. Not sure if I was fortunate or unfortunate to not get to taste the Macaroni Salad, because I completely missed that it was given to me in a side container and didn't realize what it was until I was done with my meal and I was too stuffed to eat it alone. Although the meal was on point, I feel the best part of my experience was the server. His name is Donald! Wow! This guy casually made conversation with this couple at the next table and I couldn't help but eavesdrop. The local in me was partly making sure he was giving them great info and a good local experience. The West Side of O'ahu doesn't have the best reputation of serving our tourist community with kindness in my experience and upbringing. Not to seem negative, but it's true. Donald was awesome! This guy made this couple feel so welcomed! And he was born and raised in Waianae Valley! I was so proud of this guy to represent Hawaii well with so much Aloha! He gave them tips on hiking, snorkeling spots, eating spots, traffic, and all minds of things that came up jn conversation. Needless to say, I think they would recommend Hawaii to their friends and to stay on the west side like they are. Great Decision to hire Donald guys!!! Love this place!! As a Waianae girl a lot of my favorite places have closed down I googled this place and my daughter and I decided to try it. Not disappointed.The fried rice was good and Texas French toast and the chilli all good. The server/cashier Chelsea is amazing she greeted us with a smile and great attitude. The garlic shrimp special is mayjah ono! This place definitely gives those Kahuku shrimp shacks on the North Shore some rubs. If you're ever in the Makaha area, you must try it! Princess, the chef, cooked the shrimp perfectly. They were tender, plump, juicy, and full of flavor. The seasoning was on fleek, too-- just the right amount of butter to garlic ratio. To top it off, the shrimp is set on a bed of baby spinach leaves. Conveniently located at the Waianae Boat Harbor along Farrington Highway, my coworkers and I frequent this local-style restaurant during our lunch breaks throughout the week. Staff is super friendly and welcoming. My coworkers' faves are the kalua pork tacos and anything that's paired with cream of mushroom. If you're on a limited time schedule, like us, it's better to call ahead. Food is made-to-order and can take about 15-20 minutes to prepare. The wait is still worth it, though! Also, lunch specials change daily. By calling in, first, you can ask what they have on the specials menu, then place your order and it'll be ready when you arrive to pick it up :) Lots of tour groups also come here for lunch after a long morning of being out at sea. I'm from Oahu, and whenever we travel to Maui, we hit up the Maui Ocean Center. Lots of parking and I believe it's the best ocean center of its kind in Hawaii. Spinners is located inside of the center and have been here a number of times, and was always happy! The servers that we had were super nice and professional. All the food came out in a timely manner, and the view from the marina was really nice! We have had quite a few items from here over the years, and was always pleased with the taste, quality, and portions of the food. Everything was spot on! At first, we didn't want to even try to eat there, thinking that the prices would be high tourist prices, but really, it's not. Very reasonable prices and generous portions! Love Spinners Cafe! I used to work out of Waianae Boat Harbor, and would stop by here all the time if I needed to grab something for breakfast or lunch. They are quick, very affordable, and have quite a big selection no matter what you are looking for. I used to always grab the chili and rice as a quick bite before hitting the boat. My boyfriend and I went to Spinner's Cafe in Wai'anae for breakfast.  There is a huge homeless (or houseless) camp at the driveway leading up to Spinners, which is at the Wai'anae Boat Harbor.  If you are not used to seeing this, it can be a bit intimidating or unsettling.  Otherwise, driving to the back takes you to the parking lot of the beautiful boat harbor. The Spinners menu is small and they serve breakfast and lunch up to 3pm, when they close.  You order at the counter and take your food to your seat.  In California, I was vegan. In Hawai'i, I am a lacto-ovo-vegetarian who eats vegan as much as possible, if I can get away with it.  It's just too expensive in Hawai'i to eat vegan and/or organic unless I grow my own food. So, banana pancakes is what I got.  Unlike the mainland, hash browns do not seem to  be a popular breakfast staple.  It's rice.  Incidentally, Spinners doesn't have hash browns on their menu. My pancakes were a thick slab of pancake with sliced bananas cooked into the dough.  Mac sauce is a thick, sweet, macadamia nut topping.  Being a traditional mainlander, I had to apply syrup to my pancakes, too. My Hawaiian-raised boyfriend always craves meat.  He opted for the loco moco which is a popular Hawaiian dish of beef patties topped with gravy and eggs with a side of rice. He liked his food, but ended up also eating the pancakes I failed to finish, due to feeling stuffed. We both enjoyed our meal and time permitting, we will be back. read more

First timers here at Spinners Cafe. It's located at the Waianae boat harbor, which is probably why we never stopped here. We ordered a loco moco and a standard breakfast plate. The loco moco was delish! Nice serving. Nice price. (Why do we eat at Hannaras?) the breakfast plate was good. Nice serving of bacon and the fried rice was also delish. The place was nice and clean. The customer service was great. Will definitely make this our new breakfast spot. Try this place out! read more

The west side has probably some of the best food on the island and Spinners Cafe is no exception! The restaurant isn't open all day so if you want any to try this place come early. Breakfast was the meal we were after and unfortunately I didn't take pictures of my food but I can say the banana pancakes are outstanding! Top that with some bacon and has browns and you are already on a high note for the day! The hubby had an omelette and had no complaints as it all disappeared from his box. They serve in mostly to go containers as this is a popular spot in the marina and most of the locals take the food to go. However there is a full cafe with seating so go in and sit and enjoy some great food! read more

Great place for breakfast! I had the breakfast jam with bacon. Everything was good! You can walk up to the window to order or go in and sit down. You can also call ahead and pay/pick-up at the window. The lady at the window was very nice. I wasn't able to leave a tip on my card so bring cash if you want to leave a tip. Will be back! read more

I didn't expect much from Spinners, but after eating a snack here before the Dolphin Star cruise, I must say, this place is pretty good! The employees here are very friendly, and the fried rice is solid. It's also a good place to use the restroom, provided you're a paying customer. read more

Spinners Cafe [SC]. (3 stars). "You spin me right round, baby Right round like a record, baby Right round round round." - Dead Or Alive SC is located on the same grounds as the Waianae Boat Harbor [WBH]. Fishermen and Waianae residents who frequent the WBH are familiar with this quaint little country cottage that serves up local favorites such as Loco Moco and Kalua Pork Tacos as well as traditional breakfast offerings such as Omelettes and Hot Cakes! After becoming increasingly more disappointed in Countryside Cafe and its recent dismal service and food quality, I decided to drag the BF to try SC. The BF used to own a diving company that operated out WBH so FOR ONCE I didn't have to tell the BF where to go... LOL I mean directions wise. ;) As we walked in, I was impressed by the bright and welcoming interior and the fact that I could order off both the breakfast and lunch menu!! After a few minutes of studying the menu, I finally made my decision and ordered the following: -Kalua Pork Tacos -Loco Moco Kalua Pork Tacos - $9.50. (2.5 stars). I was surprised to find out that I had a choice of corn or flour tortillas when I ordered the Kalua Pork Tacos. I decided on the flour tortillas. I'm glad I did! The corn tortilla looked limp!! The Kalua Pork had a nice flavor overall but I don't think SC smokes their Pork so it was a little lackluster. The Pico de Gallo and salsa were very bland!! The presentation wasn't exciting as everything was put into little cups and served on a plate. This dish was average but I definitely would NOT order this again. Loco Moco - $11. (3.5 stars). I am not a huge fan of Loco Moco because I have had very bad experiences in the past with mushy uncooked hamburger patties!! But alas, nothing else sounded appealing to me so I just went for it. I was impressed with the portion size and the fact that the brown gravy comes with FRESH mushrooms and grilled onions!!?? I just gave the onions to the BF!! The hamburger steak was actually grilled nicely!! I loved the gravy I have to say. I would definitely order this dish again. The BF said the Loco Moco was "OK". So I knew for sure I would order this again!! Anytime the BF says he likes something I don't so this "checks with chart!" =================================== I am glad the BF and I came to SC and I could see us coming back for a weekend breakfast. Parking is ample and the staff here are very friendly. I came here because I really wanted to try their Garlic Fried Shrimp!! Unfortunate they don't sell this item anymore?? I didn't see it on any of the menus... Prices have soared in just the last year from what I can see, but they have above average quality ingredients so I can see why. The BF said the next time we come here he wants to try their Hot Cakes and Omelette. I wouldn't mind trying their Fried Rice too! Woo hoo, something to look forward to in Waianae... Came here since it was part of our dolphin charters package and got the loco moco! Loco moco is one of my favorite hawaiian dishes and this place did not disappoint. The only thing that could have made the entree better was if it came with one scoop rice and one scoop mac salad instead of 2 scoops of rice and no mac salad and if they had another type of hot sauce besides tabasco. The patty, egg, gravy were cooked delectably and complimented each other well, although I personally felt a little heat would have been nice :) Definitely a satisfying meal after a long day's snorkel :) read more

Their French toast is the perfect amount of sweet, not too sweet but also sweet enough to where I didn't need any extra sauces on the side, I ate it just as is lots of flavor & overall my fave place on the west, (maybe the whole island actually) to get breakfast.
