The food was OK. The eggs were nothing special but when in Rome...staff was super friendly and good customer service. Coffee was great. The wait was over 30 min but we didn't have too many options at the time. read more

It was our first time at this location. My husband and I decided to get breakfast after getting our coffee from Island Vintage Coffee. We checked in with the hostess at about 9:10 and was told it was about a 40-50 min wait; however it should be much quicker to seat us because "we were only a party of 2 and it's much easier to seat 2." Okay, so far so good it looks like my bday is starting off on a good note especially with my perfect cup of coffee from Island Vintage in hand. I am a very observant and patient person. Today my patience was tested but I needed to be a voice for other 2-person parties waiting. The customer base here is predominately visitors to the island; we are a local couple. There were 2, 2-person party waiting ahead of us and about 4-5 larger parties waiting. It started to get busy with more people getting on the wait list. After 30 minutes, 3 large party was seated and the other couple waiting. Long story short we waited 1 hour and 15 mins, never got seated, they were seating people that got there after us, some humble people walked away seeing this but I had to be the voice. As locals, we were discriminated against. Visitors come to our island to experience the ALOHA spirit but your staff showed no ALOHA to us. Your manager never apologized but rather got "sassy" after I voiced my concern and asked if I wanted to view the check in list to prove that they were not bypassing the locals and smaller parties. Terrible service and your manager was oblivious to what was going on. Never returning to any of your locations because of how you treat people. Oh, one of the visitors that overheard my concerns agreed and said that it was obvious that the place is mismanaged. read more

Food was great when I ate here a few days ago. However, I don't know if I'll be back. Came twice more only to be faced with crazy wait times. Tried today more optimistic about getting in with the open tables and only about six people waiting. After they took our phone number, I got a text saying the wait was 40 minutes. Seriously? You could just tell me that up front in person? I thought it was a mistake or default message, but the person who signed me in confirmed it pretty matter of factly. No apology for the long wait or asking me if I was okay with the wait -- which I should have been asked up front instead of going through all that and wasting everyone's time. Here's an equally impersonal review. I guess when you are in a resort area with limit walking distance dining options, you can be like that. Your money is coming in, so who cares about decency. Disappointing after such a great first visit. read more

The very best breakfast place to eat. Expect a long line but without a doubt the service is top notch. I'm a California native but love Hawaii like a second home. Keala, Kai, John, and auntie joe are the best. You won't go wrong eating here anytime. read more

Tourists beware!!! 4 stars for our waitress Yela- she was wonderful. 0 Stars for our food. Waited 30 min for table and another 45 min for food. Other patrons also sat at tables had been waiting for their food as well. 3 tables in place that sat for over 30 min for food. Finally, when it arrived, eggs were cold and pancakes were like bricks. They returned the pancakes for a fresh dish and when they arrived I received them raw with oozing batter. Female manager came to table and apologized. Brought me swedish pancakes. Male manager stood at counter during our entire visit never acknowledged any of the issues. Checked in at 9:45 and left at 11:45. Check please. Sorry!! read more

It's the best meal we have had so far and the prices are reasonable! I had the Strawberry Lava Pancakes and others in my group had omelets with pancakes. The coconut syrup was amazing. I'll definitely be back! read more

We just went here, we waited a very very very long time for our food! They were sooooo slow!!! They messed up my daughters order, we ordered pancakes topped with strawberries and pineapple, they made pineapple pancakes. She wouldn't eat it. After the extremely long wait, they messed up our order! read more

Great breakfast options and the food was good. What turned me off about this place was the way the manager was treating the staff. He spoke down to the staff in front of customers and corrected them for minor mistakes in front of the customers and other staff. It was very awkward and I left there feeling very bad for the staff. I hope they replace that micromanaging manager. read more

My first time eating at Eggs n Things (I've heard good things) since they now have one on the west side in Ko Olina. I ordered the Traditional Loco Moco and it was just right! The taste was great, not salty and the gravy was also perfect, not salty. Ordered the egg over medium and it was cooked perfect. The staff is friendly and attentive, frequently filled my glass with water. 5-stars for the food! I gave it a 3 star overall because from the welcoming to the establishment, I felt rushed. My expectations were to be greeted, seated order taken, receive food eat then pay. I was wrong. When you approach the restaurant, you check-in at the check-in stand first, which is outside in the sun. (They give you a menu to see what you would like to order.) If there's a line, you wait until you get to the stand. Once you get to the check-in stand you place your order and they give you a number. After you place your order, you then go inside to the cashier to pay. After you pay, they take you to your table. Once seated, I saw what other people had ordered and everything looked delicious. (I wanted to change my order, but I was "rushed" to place my order and pay prior to being seated.) I enjoyed the food and the staff was really nice, not sure I'll return because I don't care for the ordering process. Maybe, if allowed, I'll just place a to-go order if I do want to eat their food again. read more

We went here, I believe it was their first day and no one even knows they are open so it was mellow. This is my first ever yelp review, but I had to write one for this location. It was pretty busy and you could tell everyone was still green, but man, the food was awesome. The staff was friendly enough. I never ate at Eggs 'n Things before since they are usually pretty busy and I hate waiting to eat, but man, if they are all like this, it is crazy good. I had the Hawaiian Loco Moco and the wife had the Banana Pancakes with whipped cream. She added the coconut syrup on the side. I didn't think we could finish it all, but we did. For a first day, I am impressed. I guess no one knows they're open here yet, so looks like I'm the first review. I would recommend this spot for sure. I just hope they don't get crazy busy like the ones in town. read more

Great breakfast place. All the food was really good and you can tell it's made fresh daily. Excellent choices for everyone in the family. Don't miss this place for breakfast. read more

Great Hawaiian style food. We ate breakfast here every morning and liked everything we ordered. Even the coffee and iced tea was good.

Definitely not worth the 1 hour wait time on a Wednesday and then another hour wait for some eggs and Portuguese sausage. Not sure what was going on but the kitchen staff was extremely slow. We arrived at 10:15 and didn't get our food until after 12. We were just a party of 2 and ordered a very basic breakfast. The food was ok, but after leaving we both felt like we would have been better off going to a coffee shop for breakfast. Now we know for next time. read more

Really excellent food and service here. You can spend a a lot or not a lot depending on what and how much you order, but the portions are big and everything is fresh. Definitely worth the trip over from Aulani. We come around 8, and there isn't ever a wait. read more

Wanted lunch after spending the morning at the beach. The wait time was long so if you go use Yelp to secure a place in line. Service was weird, like no one knew what was going on, the person hosting outside was also cleaning tables and seating people so you felt like you weren't waiting in the right spot to be seen. Nothing was explained like the specials, etc. Ordered a Bloody Mary (was ok), an omelette with potatoes and bacon on the side. Basic omelette so I can't complain, it was good. Asked for bacon not crispy (was asked specifically how I wanted it) but it came out crispy. Menu was a bit confusing. My partner's omelette was ok, he got it with the Portuguese sausage option which I think they could have added a little more. It was finely diced, like sausage sprinkles. He also asked for pancakes (option of potatoes, pancakes, or rice with toast being an up charge of $0.50) and got potatoes. That was disappointing because their syrups sounded amazing. I wouldn't make a special trip to eat here. The items served with whipped cream looked great so if you want a sweet breakfast this may be worth it since there aren't many breakfast places. read more

horrible! they do not answer phone ever. they send out wrong food and our driver arrives after 30 minutes and has to wait 30 more minutes. order placed at 7:00am it's now 9:27. pathetic read more

Poor customer service. If you look like a Japanese tourist you will be seated before any one else. If not...hope for the best. The hostess Joanna lied about the wait time to each person. Wait time can not be the same 20 minutes if others are waiting in line and you tell them the wait is 20 minutes. read more

Always wanted to try this place since they opened in Ko'Olina as they advertised great place to dine and menu sounded good. We arrived on a Sunday morning around 10. There was a line so we put our name on the list. There was another couple who signed in after us, who apparently knew the hostess as they chatted for a bit before they walked away to get out of the wind. Their seating is like cafeteria style so it's as if you're having your meal with the people on the next table. After seating about a dozen people who were there (separate parties) before us squeezing everyone into any space available. She gestured to the couple who signed in after us and escorted them into the restaurant seating them on a comfortable table for four, then calling us in and seated us on a tiny table for two directly behind tables that had guests whom if and when they were ready to leave would back into us and we would have to move our seats to allow them to get up. We slid our table closer to the cashier desk to avoid any chance of that happening. My husband was not happy with the seating and how the seating order went down. He wanted to leave but since we were there, I talked him into staying. The waiter was prompt in taking our order but had no customer service skills. Neither did any of the other waiters. It appears that they have the waiters taking the orders and a server serving the food whom by the way was the only courteous person in their staff. The food was not fantastic for the $40 bill for a loco moco and a runny omelette. We won't be going back there as this experience left a bad impression on us and I will not recommend the restaurant to anyone. It's a shame that the visitors staying at the resort may have to go through what we did. If they had a manager on duty, he/she was not available to assure the guests enjoyed their visit to the restaurant or not. I'm very disappointed. Oh by the way, from the time we arrived, till the time we left at 11:55 it was very unpleasant. We just wanted to get out of there as quickly as possible . Utensils had residual food, tables had streaks from poor cleaning after previous guests. Management should take a good look at their operation. read more

If I can give 0 or negative stars, I would. I ordered Ahi tuna with eggs and potatoes, asked for the tuna to be lightly seared, and it came back well done. From there, the awful experience continued. After mentioning that the food was not prepared properly as what was asked for and validating it from taking a bite, the manager came over and was combative the entire time telling me that I should've known the food was not prepared properly by the way it looks AND then proceeded to take the remainder of the food away and throw it in the trash YET still had the audacity to charge me for the entire meal... can someone please explain this to me as it makes no sense. The waitress didn't check in, the others in my party received food that was not correct either, and we were not even given the opportunity to order additional beverages... worth going elsewhere. I highly recommend monkey pod across the street. The service has been nothing but spectacular and the food is always amazing. read more

My husband and i ventured to this spot, taking advantage of an early morning run to the ABC store to resupply during our Aulani vacation. Many different offerings-husband had an omelette, i had the crepes (black cherry cheesecake), along with a carryout order of spam, crepes and loco moco for those that stayed in the room. Service was quick, food was exactly as ordered. Great break from the resort breakfasts! read more

Excited to have an Eggs n Things on the West side. Visited on a Saturday morning and it was pretty busy. The hostess took our name and we waited for about 20 minutes before being seated outside. Love the extensive menu choices, from local favorites to omelettes, waffles, pancakes and Benedicts. We ordered the fried rice, florentine Benedict and fresh banana pancakes. The food took quite a long time, and the sun really started hitting our table, I'd suggest sitting inside and also to avoid the flies. When our food arrived, I was disappointed in my Florentine Benedict, especially because the eggs were overcooked and not runny at all. I know the restaurant is new but please teach the cooks to poach an egg. Also I barely had any hollandaise sauce and the tomato was quite unripe. The banana pancakes were good. They just need to put them on a bigger plate to make them easier to cut into and eat. The fried rice was ok, it has spam, mushrooms and artificial crab in it. We'll try this location again, but will probably give it a little more time before coming back. read more

One word - fantastic!! Ate there twice while staying at AULANI. Food was good, selections were numerous and service was great!!!!

Delicious! Our party of 6 had to wait about 45 minutes, but it was well worth it! Scott was a gracious host and super friendly. He made the wait less brutal with his great personality and attitude. We had strawberry, banana and macadamia nut pancakes. All 3 were cooked perfectly with just the right amount of toppings. We will definitely be back. Pricing and taste were a much better option than resort food. read more

Don't expect decent service here. We Tried to eat here with friends who had ice cream from across the street. I cancelled the order and left. read more

Love this location in Ko'olina. I was a vegan but turned to eating fish, eggs, & cheese. They have a great selection for people with my diet. They're opened now for dinner too and if you want to have pancakes for dessert-they offer those! I've eaten the fresh, Cajun ahi burger and recommend that. Yes, got the fries! The Benedicts are great too-the Florentine is what I had & hubby ate the regular one. Spend a nice day at the lagoons and have lunch or dinner after or breakfast and then lagoons. Worst service in Hawaii. We showed up with a large party to a half-empty restaurant. We said we would break up into smaller groups to allow them to accommodate us easier. They refused to seat us until they could seat all of us together so the entire restaurant had to clear out for us to be seated--literally. Then we ordered and they brought out dishes one at a time. So it took 60 minutes from the time the first person got their food until the last. And even with the large delays the food is not even right. No water refills. They were rude any time we asked for a refill or when the food would be ready. Sadly the food is actually pretty good but the horrible service ruins the entire experience. read more

Had the Kalbi and eggs breakfast plate with rice and kimchee. Seriously delicious and hit the spot after a morning jog around Ko Olina.

Do not eat here. Slow and rude customer service. Waited forever, then eventually had to leave when they couldn't get our order right.

My favorite breakfast spot. The island style fried rice is the by far the best in Hawaii!!

I wish I could give a better review as I really love this place. But after waiting for 40 minutes when I was told 20 and watching the hostess walk around looking lost and not seating anyone when there were clearly three open tables was ridiculous. And I watched at least 7 more parties walk in and they told them all 20 minutes which was a blatant lie. We weren't even a large party. We had 4 adults. I would recommend they find a different hostess. He didn't even bother to come out and apologize for the long wait. Also the wait staff was rude and ignored everyone. Several people walked out and left before being seated or after seating. Whoever the manager on duty that day was they should have been walking the floor. Not one wait person was polite or even smiled at us. We had to flag someone down for everything we needed. I'm very unimpressed and bummed as this was one of our favorite places and we've never been bothered by a long wait cause th staff was always so nice. But to have to wait so long and be treated rudely. We will not be bringing our visitors to the island here again. read more

Beware if you have a group over six. The service was terrible for our large party. What made things worse was the apathetic attitude shown by most of the wait staff. Food came out one plate at a time and the last person in our group finally gave up waiting after 50 minutes as the rest of us had already finished our food. An order was forgotten and eventually came out incorrect. Apparently, the restaurant only has one small griddle and ordering crepes and pancakes at one table is impossible for the kitchen to manage. Sadly the food wasn't good enough to overcome the bad service. read more

honestly really sad to be leaving a bad revie. we ate here almost every day last trip. and it was amazing. This time however it was the polar opposite. If you don't get on the list plan on waiting at least an hour up to an hour and 45 minutes if you get on the yelp list You still may end up waiting for a while depending on how backed up and how many to go orders are being processed. We got on the list the second day and were seated relatively quickly. Eventually our food orders were put in. Probably a half hour later out drinks arrive. botch #1 ask for cappuccino get ice coffee lol. Another 45 min goes by (now the non cooked orders show up. now ive been waiting and dreaming about the papaya rainbow sorbet fruit bowl.. it was so good.. rainbow sorbet with all kinds of fresh fruit on top of an ice cold papaya) i ordered that and a sorbet bowl w just strawberries.. the lady says ok so lots of strawberries.. instead of what we ordered she brings me out a papaya in a little bowl with a bunch of acai on top and fruit. brings out an acai bowl with ALL fruit on it.. no sorbet.. def not more strawberries than anything else. so 3 for 3 items brought out wrong. so much time goes by everyone is annoyed and hungry.. they finally bring out the rest. well most of it. 30 min after the fruit stuff. it was apparent that the food had been sitting for some time. nothing was hot. none of the spam was well done.. they didnt even bring out my spam and eggs or someone elses side of bacon. just never came after she said goin to get rest. min later my wife n son left their food was cold. they were over it. still havent got my spam n eggs nor the other bacon. finally the rest of us got up and left. how disappointing.. i get that its busy and theyre short handed. but dont take a million to go orders. if your to go orders are ruining your diners experiences that are sitting there its time to rethink your sop. we literally ate here every day of the last trip and this time it was the worst brekky experience ever. the big dude running the line was cool. everything else, not so much. id rethink waiting to eat here. or at least go after any kind of rush is done. i still think its risky tho. i dont enjoy leavin a bad review i never do. but if i can save anyone else the waste of time and effort we just went through..its worth it. read more

I don't understand the hype about this place AT ALL. There was a serious lack of customer service, and the food was honestly nothing special (it's just as good as what you'd receive at a Denny's but far more expensive). The waitress barely visited our table, and it took literally an hour (yes, we did time) to receive our food, despite mentioning that we were in a rush. Two members of our group had to leave in the middle of their unpleasant meal simply because they had meetings to attend and were expecting to receive their food much sooner. As for the food, it was average at best and definitely not worth the wait. I ordered the Hawaiian French toast; the bread was EXTREMELY doughy; I could barely finish one piece. The coffee we received was also cold, and definitely not at the level of all the "Kona Coffee" we've indulged in at other places in the island. Overall, we were thoroughly disappointed by all aspects of this restaurant. If you want a nice breakfast during your vacation, you're probably better of spending the extra dollar and eating at your hotel. Very disappointing! read more

In the many trips we have made to Hawaii, this was our worst food experience. Our family dropped by for lunch thinking eggs would be good. We arrived at noon and the restaurant had several tables free. They said that others had those tables and that we would be seated after the others. No worries. 45 minutes went by and we still had not been seated but no other people came to the restaurant. Finally, we were seated. We ordered -- now with only one other couple in the restaurant at the bar -- and proceeded to wait 30 minutes for the first food to come out. It is now one an hour and the rest of the food just shows up. We asked the server a few times what the issue was and we got no answer. The manager could not explain what was happening. As I write this, it is now 1:50 PM and one of a party still has no food. There are now four other tables filled in the restaurant but most are still empty. The food is marginal and the help a disaster. I would stay away unless you have the time and the money to waste on a mediocre two hour meal read more
