We were craving Mac Nut Pancakes today so we put ourselves on the waitlist here. We were 1st in the queue when we checked in and the guy in the front said it would take 30-45min but it ended up only taking 5min. So the wait time was not bad. The service however was horrible. Our waitress (girl with the long hair and tattoo on her neck) passed by our table multiple times without even acknowledging us. She finally took our order but the pancakes took almost 20min to arrive. And worse...part 2 of our order went MIA. Another 20min passed when a different guy came with our check and we had to tell him we never got the hash browns & eggs. He went back to the kitchen and came out with it right away. We think it's b/c it was just sitting in the kitchen and nobody remembered to bring it out. We should have cancelled it b/c the food was cold and tasted like it had been sitting around. Disappointing experience overall :( read more

Great variety of choices and they always have specials. We always go to the one on Saratoga when we visit. My other half and I love it.

Staff was kind but all else fell short. Food was greasy and just missed the mark. Loved the birds flying through though. Let's just say be near a restroom after eating here. read more

The service is very good, and the menu does offer a good variety of choices at decent prices. However, be prepare to wait 15 -30 minutes for a table and ready to climb up some stairs to a small dining area. Please be aware they do charge "kitchen fee" and a fee to use credit card. read more

Arrived at 7:45 AM on Easter Sunday, with an estimate wait time of 30 minutes based on Yelp's prediction. We were 16th on the waitlist, so it was safe to say our wait was not 30 mins - it was 1 hr and 45 mins until we were seated but by that time we had already ordered online for takeout. The staff was friendly but clearly overwhelmed, the entire 1st floor dining area had 4-5 tables - all empty and upstairs there were multiple 2 person tables that were empty. I assume they were extremely short staffed but unfortunately led to my Kailua pig eggs Benedict being completely unseasoned (not even salt) and my side potatoes being undercooked. My husband had the crab cake Benedict that had a good amount of paprika seasoning so yay for that, the fresh strawberry whipped pancakes were the star though. Whipped cream was very fresh and light, you could smell the freshness of the strawberries. Overall, would love to try them again on a regularly staffed, non holiday time. read more

Wow, if you're looking for a great breakfast in Waikiki, this is the place. Amazing food, and huge portions. You won't leave hungry! read more

Be prepared to wait as long as an hour to be seated at this location. It's in the middle of Waikiki with tons of tourists on the waitlist (like you) waiting to be seated. You can reserve your spot on the waitlist by using Yelp or walking up to the hostess to have your name and party size added. Just make sure you are on the waitlist for the correct location. When we arrived the hostess said we were not on the waitlist. My girlfriend placed us on the waitlist for the Ala Moana location and not the Waikiki location. The hostess honored our place on the waitlist, so we only had to wait for about 30 minutes to be seated. This restaurant is very small. And with the pandemic, they are only allowed to seat a limited number of people at a time to socially distant tables. Our waitress was very friendly and even gave us extra syrup for our pancakes and French toast. We had the sweet bread French toast with pineapples, pineapple pancakes (5 stacks), Portuguese sausage, and two eggs. We tried the coconut, guava, and maple syrups. I loved the coconut and guava syrup and highly recommend you try both. The Sweet Bread French Toast is very delicious. It's topped with lots of whipped cream and your choice of toppings. We decided to stick with pineapple and used both the coconut and guava syrups. Personally, I think the coconut syrup complemented the French toast. You also get that extra sweetness from the pineapple chunks. As much as I loved the pineapple chunks, I scooped them off to the side halfway through the meal. If you're someone trying to cut back on sugar, then you may want to go without the whipped cream and pineapples. This is a really sweet meal. It was almost too much sweetness for me to consume in the morning. The pineapple pancakes were delicious as well (because of the flavorful syrups) but they weren't anything special. They were good but they didn't compete with the French toast. The Portuguese sausage was perfect! When you combine the sausage, eggs, french toast, and pancakes, you're in Hawaiian breakfast bliss. You're quickly reminded why you waited so long to try this place. It's worth the wait because you're experiencing a hearty Hawaiian-style breakfast. The best part is you're supporting a locally owned small business. Mahalo to the staff working hard to serve everyone. Make sure you leave a tip! read more

My favorite breakfast spot on Oahu. The fried rice and eggs is the best! Kalbi beef is delicious as well. Add yourself to the waitlist on line before heading over! read more

We enjoyed everything we ordered here. We even returned a second time before we left! Portions were generous and the food was seasoned. Here are some tips: join the Yelp waitlist before you leave your room. Go early. The earlier the better. The wait time for our second visit was 55 minutes. We shared plates the second time to taste more entrees. The French toast was great. The fruit was fresh. The whipped topping was the tastiest I've had. Most seating is upstairs, tables are small, and I noticed this place has low wheelchair access. read more

Been on my list since moving to hawaii. Overcooked and extremely dry loco moco. Nevertheless, grad to give it a try.

Solid breakfast place. Lines can be a bit long depending on time of day but it moves pretty quick. Had the eggs and pancakes. Everything was perfect. Can't beat the view. read more

Jonas was great from the time we arrived. There was a very small wait but the food was good and ambiance nice

This was delicious. I couldn't believe it was near our hotel. We waited an hour before seated but I heard it was good and I was not disappointed. My husband ordered the pork chops with scrambled eggs which comes with pancakes. I had pineapple chunks and and ordered a single pork chops. Which we share his pancakes. It was delicious. Worth the wait. Get there early. read more

Decently priced with good portions. Why not?! Maybe service isn't the best but I came for fooood. My friend and I got the combo. The combo included loco loco with fried rice with 3 pancakes. Loco Moco - my friend has never tried the loco loco before. I have. And, the loco moco here didn't disappoint. It was what I expected it to be. Good gravy, tender hamburger meat with delicious fried rice. Pancakes - 3 slices. One coconut, one macadamia, one pineapple. The macadamia one was lit! We liked all 3 but the Mac was the winner! And they had guava and macadamia syrup. That was so good! I wanted to take the syrup home with me. Wish they had something like this in California. read more

Very busy place during breakfast hours, good food and friendly service, will recommend but be patience.

Great food!! Great service! Good pricing. The staff is great very attentive. The service is fast. Very pleasurable place to eat breakfast.

During my stay in Honolulu, I passed by this place several times and always witnessed a long line. So I needed to give this place a try ... and I am SO happy I did. It turned out to be one of many visits ... which is a big deal for me as a typically like to try a variety of restaurants when I am traveling ... meaning I rarely go back to the same place twice. Let me first start by saying ... Kalbi and Eggs. If you have not tried this combination, you are missing out. This was a new discovery for me ... and desperately hope I can find it somewhere back home. The Kalbi short ribs were tender and marinated perfectly to go with both the eggs and whatever starch you prefer (rice or potatoes). And I am not done. I decided to add a short stack of pancakes ... and my meal just went to a new level. I ordered the plain and sampled the Macadamia Nut version which my son ordered. When they arrived, I noticed a few interesting syrup options on the table that I had never tried before. I first poured the Guavas syrup on my plain pancakes. OMG! Then poured the Coconut syrup in the Macadamia Nut pancakes. SPEECHLESS! In one meal, I encountered so many new and wonderful flavors, I was bound to come again and again ... and can't wait to return in the future. read more

A tourist hot spot you can't miss. The star of the show is definitely the macadamia pancakes with coconut syrup. DELICIOUS and worth every penny. The kalbi breakfast and Hawaiian loco moco was also a must. Packed with flavor and a great Hawaiian breakfast. read more

Unfortunately every time we tried to eat here they had an unendurable wait. I really wanted to try their pancakes because everyone said they were terrific, but I could not wait hours for breakfast that I would be finally seated for when it was becoming lunchtime. It's great fir them that they have the business to keep busy enough to have such long wait times, but not great for people who don't have hours to wait around for their food. It might be time to expand or figure out how to increase serving times. read more

They make a very good breakfast. He eggs Benedict are really good as is the pork chop.

Such a good breakfast! I didn't realize this is almost like a chain restaurant because of the local vibe we got from the look and the employees. The wait was not long at all, the food was delicious we did the strawberry pancakes with whipped cream the first day and blueberry waffles with whipped cream the next, it was amazing both times!! Highly Highly recommended! read more

Oh for the food choices we chose. Which weren't good choices apparently. If I ever come back I'd try them again ordering something else. I thought the pancakes were going to be out this world but they weren't, tasted "gummy". The other dish we got wasn't as large as we thought it would be (eggs, bacon, steak). Small small area to dine. Very hot during summer. Floors very very slippery, be careful. Waiters/waitresses very slow with getting to you to order. read more

My friend Maurice and I had breakfast here yesterday, and we thought it was pretty good. I had to try the Macadamia Nut Pancakes, so I ordered that as well as an Omelet. Great guava juice, fabulous breakfast and no fuss and easy going servers. Just the ticket if you want a catch up with a friend with minimal trouble. But be warned there's usually a line here, so get a table early or expect to be standing for a long time. read more

Great food. Great service. Quick seating and good times all around... shared a little bit of everything.

TIP: When you arrive, go inside and check-in. They will give you a pager. Once a seat opens, you walk upstairs to restaurant to get seated. FYI. CHECK-IN EXPERIENCE: 1 STAR The check-in guy Chris (see pic of this guy) is the sole reason why my review was only 4 Stars. He brought this whole wonderful experience down a level! He didn't make eye contact, no greeting smile, he was blunt, rude & sooooo the opposite of great customer service! While sitting in those two seats right next to the register, I noticed a lady walk up to him with syrup she wanted to buy, she accidentally placed it on his area counter and he continued what he was doing to his computer, didn't say A WORD to her nor look at her and only motioned with his arm and pointed to the lady to his left as to say, "I don't ring you up, can't you read? She does!" Dude seriously, if you don't like your job, find another one. You SHOULD NOT greet customers from all over the world...you are representing Hawaii and this awesome restaurant! OK, enough energy on that but everybody be warned! AFTER CHECK-IN: 5 STARS Aaron was our waiter and friendly, outgoing, pleasant & the opposite of Chris. Ok, Sorry, still affected. The place was bustling on a Monday and the whole upstairs location was neat, clean & organized. The food selections were awesome but I believe a picture is worth a thousand words. See pics. Our food tasted as good as it looked, not disappointed at all! The Portuguese sausage was juicy, my eggs made to perfection and the rice was good. Our pancakes were so onolicious my mouth is watering again just thinking about them. The fruit toppings were fresh and that whipped cream though. Omg and nice touch with the Mac nuts on the whipped cream. I didn't like the guava syrup, too strong tasting and I love guava. The Coconut syrup was perfect! And Maple is well you know, maple...Upstairs has their stuff together, even the guy who brought our food was sweet & awesome! Overall GREAT experience except for you know who... read more

I have never really heard of Eggs 'N Things until I saw one of my friends going here when she went to Hawaii. The reviews seemed pretty good so I came here to check it out. I got there pretty early in the morning so there was no wait at all. We were seated as soon as we walked in. If you're looking for where the restaurant is, it's on the second floor with a nice view of the city. I ordered their macadamia nut pancakes with Portuguese sausage and eggs. The macadamia nut pancakes came out PERFECT. And there were topped with TONs of macadamia nuts. The Portuguese sausage and eggs is what it should be. I've had it other times in Hawaii and they were always about the same. Their guava juice was good. And the servers were nice. I enjoyed my meal here although it is a bit expensive. I would come back! :) read more

Someone recommended this place to us. So this Saturday we decided to give it a try. Not the worst and not the best vegetarian omelet I tasted. It lacked flavor and the potatoes taste like they come from a freezer package. Usually, the vegetarian omelet contains tomatoes, broccoli, mushrooms and even onions. This omelet contains zucchini, spinach and mushrooms. But the chefs put too much cheese on it so you can't taste the vegetables. The eggs tastes funny - like it comes from a batter mix. Good thing is the 1 free soda refill. You can get a better deal at IHOP. At least they serve unsweetened ice tea. This place does not. It serves flavored ice tea. Located near the Saratoga, this place caters to the tourists. I don't recommend it to take your date out, or to meet up with friends. read more

First time trying this location. Even though the place was half full, we are not allowed as couples to sit at the 3 people table. Why so strict when there are plenty of empty space? This place has the old day's charm, the second floor being its only dining area, with smaller tables and wired windows. The food was good, and it offers more items on its menu, such as hamburgers. read more
