I loved their old location in Waikiki...the quality of the food now has definitely gone down hill. Omelets flat and on the greasy side. Eggs n Things here is more like an IHOP or Dennys now with slightly poorer food. read more

All staff are very pleasant! Quick service and clean! Coffee was filled very quick and frequent. That makes my day! Sarah! You are awesome!

Eggs n Things is my go to restaurant for breakfast or brunch. The eatery isn't trendy, flashy, or hip. It isn't the place try a new celebrity chef dish. Rather, the best word to describe Eggs n Things is "solid." You get a tasty and well prepared meal with big portions at a good price with great service. Many places I've eaten breakfast at in Hawaii serve small portions for large prices. Eggs n Things provides a good value for your money. I've never walked away hungry from here. It's a homey establishment that reminds me of eating breakfast with my parents when I was young. All of your standard favorites are here; crepes, waffles, French toast, and eggs. My normal order is the spinach, bacon, and cheese omelet with a side of fried potatoes and chocolate chip pancakes. The food is always good and very filling. Go to Eggs n Things if you want big portions of good comfort food for a reasonable price. read more

God, I love this place so much. As a brunch goer from California, when my fiance & I had our vacation in Hawaii, she said Eggs 'n Things was the hyped up brunch place here. This place is so worth the hype. The portions were huge so for someone getting their first meal of the day, those large sized crab cake benedicts with a side of a stack of pancakes was really a feast for kings. The texture of the crab cakes on the english muffin was just the right crunch & the eggs had the right amount of salt to add that warm breakfast flavor. And oh man, than pancakes! Whatever batter they use, it's perfect (& I was super excited to find out they sell it). Our waiter was very friendly and checked up on us a good amount of times to see how we were doing & to refill our plantation iced teas, which was literally so refreshing. The food was great. The price was right. The service was good. Really can't wait to come back here & experience Eggs 'n Things again. I miss it so much! read more

This place has good food and good portions. Always crowded. Most of the service staff are friendly. Some not so much, tho. One thing i don't like about this place and many other restaurants nowadays is that they "help you" by figuring out the tip for you and calculate the tip on the total rather than on the subtotal. As a former server, I can tell you that this is not the way the tip should be calculated. It's always been on the subtotal, pretax. Yes, it's not that much more if the tip is calculated on the total after tax is applied, but that little extra $ multiplied by the hundreds and thousands of customers adds up for the restaurant. Since i charged the meals, I had no choice but to choose 15, 18, or 20 percent as they do everything paperless. Of course I chose 20%, resulting in an amount more than I would've given if allowed to write in the tip. I will be leaving the tip on the table from now on. read more

Eggs 'n Things is perfect for a tourist who wants to walk to breakfast, especially if you're not used to the time zone & wake up before everyone else. We visited twice & both times the food was average, the service was friendly, and the restaurant quaint. It was fun for a visit, but we much rather would visit Shorefyre down the street. read more

I'm from California n I found the best spot for breakfast n service is really good and Sarah is really nice also is kids friendly

Went for the first time early on Sunday morning. Glad we went that early because we only had to wait 5 minutes for a table. By the time we left (around 9:30 am) the line was out the door, it was packed! The coffee was great. The menu has a lot of options that sounded tasty, and I had a hard time picking out what I wanted to try first. I ended up ordering the eggs benedict florentine. My eggs were cooked perfectly, and the spinach and mushrooms were very fresh. The in-house made english muffin was HUGE, so the meal was very filling. It came with potatoes, pancakes, or rice. Feeling ambitious and wanting to try the coconut syrup for the first time, I ordered pancakes (couldn't finish the small stack of 3 because my eggs were so filling). They weren't the best pancakes I've ever had, they weren't sweet enough for my liking. But they were nice and fluffy, and both the coconut and guava syrup were delicious. My husband has the crab cake benedict, but we were both disappointed to see that they were breaded cakes, not like the crab cake benedict we had at the North Shore. It was still tasty though, so not a deal breaker for me. They also give a military discount, which was a huge bonus. Will definitely be going back! read more

Great food, great service! It was pretty busy but food came out quickly. Potatoes and plantation tea were amazing!

Ham and Cheese omelet had way to much cheese. Pancakes were good but nothing to write home about. Service was good.

It's been awhile since Eggs n Things was our go to place after a night at the Wave where we'd sober up with a plate of eggs and blackened ahi (now known as Cajun ahi) Fast forward to today and we're now a family of 4 and the food is still outstanding. Good service. Good deal. read more

No waiting at all for a table. Was seated almost immediately upon entry. Chicken fried steak... Super delicious. Corn chowder bowl really hit the spot. Super full now. read more

I love this place!. My bf & i come here often on the weekend to have brunch. Its usually busy but we kill time at payless shoe store. The staff are nice & friendly. Customer service is great. My favorite is the macadamia nut waffles! Always a must when we come here. read more

Don't eat there! Went there to have dinner and was told that I couldn't bring in my diet Mountain Dew which is all that I drink. So I asked is they serve it there and that I would purchase it there and as usual they don't serve it which is why I carry a cooler of it every where ever I go. They rather have a disgruntled customer or no customer at all. Not welcoming at all. We used to eat there when they were a little hole in the wall near the Hilton Hawaiian Village. Will not be returning. read more

I have no idea what the hype is about. My fiance and I had breakfast here and it was subpar at best. We had to wait almost 30 minutes just to be seated, and the food was meh. My fiance got the crab cake benedict and I had a bacon and spinach omelette. Maybe their pancakes are really good, I don't know, but compared to what we ordered, I've had better at Dennys. The country potatoes were just awful, and the dining room was small and crowded. This place was so overhyped, and our expectations were high. If we just walked in with no hype and no wait, this definitely would've been a 4/5 review. read more

Food was perfect---not too much, not too little. Waiter, Ian, was friendly and attentive. Price was decent; expect to pay about $10-12 a person. Arrive before 10 on weekends to avoid the crowd. read more

This morning we were here for breakfast. First off, the host greeted us in a lukewarm manner. Maybe he had a long evening. Maybe he just finished his other job not 1 hour ago, who knows? That kind of turns us off right away. No small talk, just get your butt to the seat. Yah..it was quieter than usual as our waiter was also quiet. He was professional enough but we were already negatively influenced in our dining influence by the host. Food was okay. The Mr. had the pancakes with strawberries and whipped cream. NOT fresh strawberries, the frozen kind. Yah. Not good. I had the waffle. NOT Belgian. Just flat. It was good.Corned beef hash was canned, flattened into a patty. All in all it was okay. Won't be back for a while though... read more

The name makes this place sound really unappetizing, but the food is okay. Its a good deal when you use a coupon but I probably wouldn't go back here read more

We were told "it's kinda a long wait right now, like 20 minutes" when not even one person was waiting and there were two empty tables right behind the hostess. Once I pointed it out, she said "oh I can't sit you now". She seemed not to care if we walked out by saying "have a good night". Really, your business is going that well that you can turn away customers? I guess we will see as more local people stop eating at Eggs and Things, Ala Moana. Please provide customer service training to your front line staff. read more

I took the managers suggestion and tried the Eggs 'N Things over by Ala Moana and they were right. It's pretty awesome. The iced tea, is fantastic and the crab cakes Benedict are my favorite. I'm not sure why they have such a difference in quality between the locations. read more

Love this place and am never disappointed with the fluffy pancakes and the local assortment of syrups. There may be a wait with the tourists that make a beeline here but try to go at an off time like I did on Mother's Day and had no wait and fast service. There is more than your traditional breakfast on the menu....we tried the adobo fried rice full of chunks of pork adobo, sooo yummy. read more

Great service! Better food! Good was fresh and delicious. Better than some other local restaurants with higher reviews. I highly recommend the POG juice and pancakes here. The omelets are also savory and very fresh tasting. Everyone was very friendly, we were seated immediately and the food was brought out in a timely manner. Excellent experience! read more

Great place for brunch, but it can be crazy busy. I enjoy the good food and good company whenever I'm here. Any kind of toast, pancakes or waffles go great with some coconut syrup. I guess it's really busy to interact with the staff, but I don't really mind, they're just doing their jobs like the rest of us do. Good staff, good environment, food is awesome! read more

I've always loved coming to Eggs and Things, but today just happened to leave me very unsettled. My husband and I came in this morning wanting to take our visiting friends from California to breakfast. When we walked in we were nicely greeted by the host which asked us how many people were in our party. We said 5 adults and one child which needed a high chair. He told us no problem and quickly showed us to the table. Our friends along with our daughter, they wanted to take with them, were still finding parking. Our server came to our table. From a glance she looked professional and I expected great service. What I got was pure attitude. First she started by taking our high chair away. We told her that the high chair was for our daughter. She went on to tell us that the policy was we can't be seated unless our entire party was present. She also told us that we had told the host up front that our entire party was here. However that wasn't the case. The host didn't even ask if our entire party was present. The rest of the time, from when we got our food to the moment we got our check our server was very grumpy and it made my guest and I feel very uncomfortable. Being very familiar with the waitressing world I couldn't help but be upset with how she was treating us. Our waitresses name was Sarah. Even if she was having a bad day, I honestly don't believe bringing that negative energy into work will do anything but make your day whole lot worse. I hope someone reads this and reminds the employees that even though some guests can be difficult at times, every guest should leave happy. read more

This morning my friend and I went to go eat here. When we entered the restaurant, we were greeted as if we couldn't speak english and it was kind of understandable because we are both very "asian looking". Then we were sat at the furthest possible table in the back corner right next to where they take dirty dishes and such. This wouldn't have been so bad if there weren't multiple other tables open at the time, but eventually I just shrugged this off because I thought there's just two of us and that they had their way of doing things. But then it took us 15 to 20 minutes to get served anything. I get that it got busier after we got in, but other, more "local looking" people couples that got seated after us got sat in better seating areas and got served right after they were seated. When I asked if we could get a server to take our order, they said that the servers were busy taking other peoples orders and that we'll probably be helped soon and when I replied that we had been waiting for about 10 minutes already, the employee said the server will come after she takes the other peoples orders. I didn't want to make a big deal out of it, but I wanted to let someone know so others wouldn't have to deal with the same problem, so when we went to go pay our bill, I spoke with the cashier and he replied. "Oh, I'm sorry that happened. Your total is $30." After I showed my Hawaii drivers license and asked for the Kama'aina discount, thats when the cashier opened up a little bit more and was a bit more apologetic. I mean, sure, it's cool that I got somewhat of an apology, but why only after someone found out I was local? I didn't know that anyone had to be local to get a any respect in a customer service environment. I hate to think what kind of service tourists that are from other countries and that don't speak english get. I used to love coming here, but I don't think I will be patronizing this local establishment anymore. read more

I've been there once before. They seem to be sitting on their laurels both in food and service. I ordered the special omelette with cheese, spinach, and other things. It came with a pancake which was the only edible thing. The omelette was horrible. It was overdone and the egg on the outside was hard like cardboard while the filling in the inside was really overcooked. The cubes of meat were hard and the cheese was hard to find. As for the service, it started off okay, then he brought the food and never came back to check. Usually the Waiter would stop by and ask how everything is going, riight? By the time he we with he tab and I'd had my coffee and pancake, I was so disgusted Ijust asked for a take our box, maybe my dog will eat it. The server gives me a sandwich size box so I had to fold the omelette four times and squeeze it in there. Ugh, what a mess! Another thing was that my friend had ordered a side of potato tots. The server has forgotten it, so my friend reminded him at the end and said to cancel it. The server brought it anyway saying that it was on the counter. It was oily, cold, soggy, just plain yucky. We didn't tell the cashier about the omelette but I did tell her about the potato tots. She just said, "Oh okay, I'll mention it to them." and that was it. That sucked big time! Hey, Management, this is not the way customers like to be treated . ..just FYI. read more

Not sure if they deserve a star - service was horrible - could not tell you about the food because after getting my order wrong twice, first time just decided to make a substitution without asking because they were out of what I ordered, just gave me something different, who does that? Then when I did order again, got the order wrong. The apologies were not forth coming until I got the check. I decided to just have toast which was warm wheat bread that had not been toasted. They charged for the toast- The others in my party were not impressed with the food - we waited 45 minutes for a lousy experience - NEVER AGAIN!!!! read more

Definitely a top pick for both breakfast and dinner! Convenient location but a little tight on parking, you really need to go at not so much of a busy time. They can get really busy and lines out the door. Very understandable though, due to awesome food! Be sure to get the potatoes with your meal or as a side! Delicious! read more

I had the worst service of my entire life at any food establishment in my entire life at this so called restaurant. Their service is bloody horrible. I waited 45 minutes to be seated, and once i was finally seated, we waited another 20 minutes for our beverages. I mean, how long does it take to fill up a glass of water and bring it 10 feet over to our table. Our waiter didn't seem to pay attention to us either. After we ordered a cup of coffee, we watched her pay no attention to us until finally we had to hunt down another waiter to get us our coffee. Also, this waiter was not knowledgeable of the beverages they served. A customer next to us asked "what is POG?' She replied saying "it's a combination of all kinds of juices." ITS PASSION ORANGE GUAVA! You dummy. Also the customer asked if it was freshly squeezed. She said yes. Later do i see a waiter poring this POG juice straight from a plastic container. So after all of this and another 20 minutes, we finally get our food. We ordered strawberry pancakes and the Ahi steak. Pancakes came out cold, Ahi steak was mediocre and the rice was hard. The best part of the meal was the whipped cream. This place caters largely to the tourists and iam glad it does, because im never coming back here again. Worst overall experience, service, and food quality i have ever experienced. read more

I like to judge places based on their eggs Benedict and by that standard this place sucks! Right off the bat you notice something funny about the English muffin. It's kinda gummy and dense. When you lift the egg and Canadian bacon off the muffin you discover a hamburger bun!!! WTF right? The poached egg is cooked way too much, the the yolk is closer to hard boiled than soft boiled. And the hollandaise sauce is gritty and most likely has no lemon, egg yolks, or butter in it. How do you make hollandaise sauce without those things you ask? You can't, you're obviously making something else that looks like hollandaise but tastes nothing like it. And not to overload people with TMI but my sister and brother who also had the eggs Benedict had a bad case of the squirts later! On a bright spot the service is excellent. The people are quick and friendly and I can't really fault them for the food. read more

warning the store manger (marshall) was super rude. they will not allow outside food, like goldfish snacks in their restaurant (for the kids). i do not recommend eating here. bad customer service. read more

Overpriced and overrated. Started off with a thirty minute wait after trying to find parking for ten minutes and then proceeded to go south from there. Kid got the kids meal but couldn't even do as basic substitution of a piece of bacon instead of sausage links without an up charge. The omelet list looked pretty impressive until you dug into it and realize they are missing the basics like a Denver. Got the veggie omelet and def inferior, zucchini wasn't cooked and couldn't taste anything but cooking oil. Asked for potatoes with it, got pancakes. Sent back and discovered yet another Hawaiian breakfast joint that has zero idea what home breakfast potatoes are, hint it's not deep fried potato cubes with season salt. Asked for a side of crispy bacon, was reassured it would be crispy when I pressed, was floppy and soft. All the food was about 20% overpriced. Went to pay the bill and the cashier just looked at me like I was stupid and proceeded to keep yapping with his friend. The only good was my waitress, she friendly, quick, and coffee never got empty. Will not repeat ever, would eat McDonald's first. read more

Ended up here on a whim. On Mother's Day and Haleiwa Joes Haiku were booked. Service was quick, friendly, but felt like they were moving cattle. In and out. Ordered then 2 minutes later I wanted to make a change and server told me order was placed already. I couldn't make any changes. Didn't want to make a fuss so I let it go. So they lost a 5 star rating at that point. I ordered the crab cakes eggs benedict with fried potatoes and strawberry pancakes. Not impressed. Eggs benedict seemed generic down to the muffin. The crab cake and potatos taste like frozen foods, prepackaged and cooked, hollandaise sauce was ok, n strawberry pancakes was nothing special. So they lose 3 stars for the quality of food. You want a great breakfast. Go to Cinnamon s in Kailua. Try their Kalua pig or crabcake eggs benedict with their home fries. N their Guava Chiffon pancakes. Off the hook. Worth the wait and drive. Btw, this place is geared to tourist which shouldn't be. Too commercial looking. If you want to really gear toward the tourist share the Aloha spirit. It should reflect in your service and the food you serve but most important the atmosphere you create. Trying to recreate a diner atmosphere with vintage pictures, autographs, ect. Doesn't add to the Hawaiian experience just adds to the hype of being a tourist. read more

The food was edible but unfortunately for a breakfast spot I was unimpressed. Eggs benedict is my favorite breakfast and whenever we go to a new breakfast restaurant I always order the eggs benedict (if offered)because that's how I judge the restaurant (eggs benedict is a more difficult breakfast dish). I don't know if this place makes their English muffins from scratch (incorrectly I may add) but whatever bread they used for the muffin tasted and had the consistency of a plain corn dusted hamburger bun, and the poached eggs were overdone. My boyfriend's food was not much better. I'm giving 2 stars only because they offer kama'aina discount. We have a motto of try everything twice, we may return. If we do i will update my experience.....P.S: upcharging for "gluten free potatoes" is tacky and takes advantage of people that don't know potatoes are already gluten free. You are giving them the same potato and charging more. Shame on you read more
