Called from home monday to book a table. An ai agent gave us a reservation. We drove 1/2 hr to find the restaurant closed for the past 3 days. WTF. Wasted our time. Turn that damn ai off if you are closed It is interesting that after this review they don't even bother to apologize. read more

Came here on a Thursday approx 9am. Two small groups waiting in front of us so we assumed it wouldn't be too much of a wait. Unfortunately they seemed understaffed and from the time we walked in to the time we were seated, vacant tables sat that needed to be cleaned. The wait time was about 30mins. Food was good, big portions. It's been a while since I've been to Eggs 'n Things but they didn't have coconut syrup on the tables. We didn't get a coffee refill, I guess because of the understaffing. This was my first time at the Ala Moana location, my memories of the Saratoga location was much better. read more

This is the second location we tried and it's just as impressive as the location in Waikiki. The service was quick, helpful and friendly. The restaurant was clean and has significantly more seating and space than the Waikiki location. But most importantly, the food was delightfully delicious with generous portions for the whole family. We love their food presentation; specifically when there is fruit involved in the dish. Their Açaí bowls are little rainbows of fresh, sweet, color. And their whipped cream was also fresh, rich and velvety. All of it was YUMMY! read more

Haven't been here in years and wanted to have a quick breakfast. It wasn't busy and I was seated immediately. I placed my order and the wait wasn't very long. I ordered the ENT Pineapple-Honey Chicken n Waffles. It was alright. I would've preferred to have a jar of syrup at the table because the syrup given on the plate wasn't enough. Upon receiving the check, I was surprised that they included Kamaaina/Military discount at 7am-12pm and that there was a 3% kitchen service charge. Inside was clean and service was good. Overall, it was an alright experience. I ate and was full. read more

I really enjoy this location. We always go early, before 8am so it's not crazy crowded yet. Friendly service, lots of parking, yummy food and comfortable seating. Bathroom available inside restaurant. They gave us the kamaaina discount without us evening having to ask. Even gave us a to go cup for our soda. This place checks all the boxes, will be back again soon! Thank you Eggs n Things! read more

IMO - best tasting loco moco out there! It's all in the gravy. potatoes are nice and crispy too with omelets. The kids had pancakes and mopped them all up, so they must've been good too. read more

Pretty busy on a rainy Friday morning, but we were seated right away. Service was perfect and very attentive. We ate with a toddler and they sate us in a comfortable booth in the corner. Ordered the Portuguese Omelette (sausage, spinach, cheese and onions) the onions were raw and sliced. Wish they were cooked/grilled and diced or at least smaller. Got the omelette with a short stack; other options were rice or seasoned potatoes. I thought a short stack was 2 pancakes, but we got 3! Yum ! Bathrooms were clean and parking is plentiful. Lots of Aloha spirit, tourists and locals enjoy this spot. read more

Good timing to get here at 11:30am because I didn't have to wait in line and my niece was on her way. Drank coffee until she arrived (the staff was amazing and entertaining). When my niece arrived we ordered. I had corned beef hash and scrambled eggs and my niece had the minced vegan patty with home fried potatoes. Eggs 'n Things still makes da best breakfasts. read more

I was back in Hawaii, and remembering the great meal I had here last time, I decided to come back. I got here a few minutes after seven on a Wednesday morning, and it was not busy at all..... as always, the place is bright and clean, and everybody was very friendly... This time, I decided to go for the Kal-bi short rib, with eggs and rice. The food came quick, and once again, it was amazing. The rib was tender, marinated very well, and absolutely delicious. The eggs were perfectly done, as was the generous portion of rice. It also came with a side order of kimchi. I almost asked him to leave it off, as I normally don't care for kimchi, because every time I've had it, it was very spicy. My server told me that this kimchi was not spicy, I decided to try it, and I am glad I did. It was absolutely delicious, tender, and it had just the tiniest hint of spice. Just enough that I barely noticed it. It didn't look like a big plate of food when he brought it, but it was a very generous portion. I did not leave hungry. As always, the coffee was also very good, and they kept my cup full. Prices are just a tiny bit on the higher end, but extremely reasonable for what you get. There is a small up charge if you pay with credit/debit, but they clearly make that known when you check out. Thank you again for a great meal, read more

Very busy location with good food and plenty of seating. I had the ribeye steak & eggs with a short stack of pancakes. Coconut syrup was a great local taste on top of my pancakes. Coffee was good, service very friendly and decent based on how busy they were. I wanted a refill on my coffee and had to go to counter to make request, not knowing my waiter was aware and was just waiting on a fresh pot. Great service but could have been better if communicated more verbally. 3.5 stars rounded up to 4 due to the Aloha spirit and local vibes. Definitely will be back again! read more

Taste and attitude. We had Benedicts and crepes for breakfast, along with coffee. We waited for an hour to eat there, but the food was just mediocre. It definitely was not worth a one-hour wait, and the staff were not particularly friendly either. We would not come back. read more

Usually our "go to" spot for breakfast but we left today rather disappointed. Cold potatoes as a side dish. Raw veggies in an omelet. But the worst was burnt French toast that we notified the staff about. Sorry that we tried to be nice about our sub par food. read more

Idk why I've never yelped this place but this was maybe my 4th of 5th visit to Eggs 'n Things. I usually bring family or friends here who visit us from the mainland but today's visit was just my husband and I. We were looking for someplace to eat that would kill time while we waiting for Ala Moana to open and decided on Eggs 'n Things. Tons of free parking and they offer waitlist service via yelp app. Party of 2 and zero wait :) Provided with water and drink order taken immediately upon being seated. Their menu is extensive and they offer typical breakfast items (i.e., pancakes, waffles, omelette) plus local favorites (i.e., fried rice, loco moco). My husband and I decided to share and chose the breakfast meat n eggs which comes with 2 eggs and your choice of spam, Portuguese sausage, chicken apple sausage, pork links, bacon, ham, turkey bacon, corned beef hash, or vegan patty plus a starch which could be rice, breakfast hash, or short stack of buttermilk pancakes. We chose Portuguese sausage with rice and two over easy eggs. Eggs were cooked perfectly. 4 large slices of Portuguese sausage were delicious with a hint of heat/spiciness and that true smokey portuguese sausage flavor. Rice seemed dry like they didn't add enough water in the rice pot! We also decided on the 3 strawberry crepes. Ok, so here's where the WTF begins. 3 large crepes served rolled and topped with thin slices of strawberries then sprinkled with powdered sugar. Looks pleasant buttttt that's about it. The crepes were like pancakes or thinner pancakes but thick crepes. We also tasted cinnamon so we're thinking they must add that to their crepe batter!? These weren't the typical French origin crepes that are thin, delicate, with a hint of sweetness that were used to. These were bad! We'd probably return but we would most def stay away from ordering crepes ever again! read more

Everything we ordered was delicious and the portions were definitely shareable if you like or if you're hungry will fill you up! The servers were all nice and friendly. Used to be my favorite breakfast spot! What happened, Eggs n things? The service went downhill! I don't feel the aloha when I walk through the doors anymore. More like angry auntie greeting you and telling you to wait outside rudely. The wait is brutal even when you get yourself on waitlist. Total wait time for us was over an hour and 20 min for our food. I also had to ask for a refill for my coffee- nobody came around! Such a bummer because I really loved this location. They had top notch service here but I guess it's hard to find good people nowadays. read more

The best breakfast I had in Waikīkī was at Eggs 'n Things. The food tasted amazing, and everything came out fresh and flavorful(ps. Make sure you try the salsa). The staff definitely made the experience even more enjoyable--they were friendly, attentive, and welcoming. It's located on the second floor and has a really cute ambiance that makes it a great spot to sit down and enjoy breakfast while in Waikīkī. Definitely a place I'd recommend if you're looking for a great start to your day. read more

My sister and I (both local aunties in our 70s) were looking for a breakfast place in the Ala Moana and decided on Eggs 'n Things. I hadn't eaten there in at least 15 years. The warm feeling of aloha is still there, and it's because of the great food and restaurant staff! We each ordered the fresh strawberry and Nutella Mochi Waffle, which was absolutely heavenly. The place was packed with a combination of locals and tourists, and everyone looked happy to be there. Our server was super nice and even though she was busy, we felt relaxed and welcome. This may be our NEW favorite breakfast place! read more

We got here at 7:45am and did a reservation on a Friday. It was very empty so we got seated right away. The ambiance felt like any other diner. But I knew from the atmosphere the food was going to be good! I had the Kalbi & eggs while my husband had his well done Ahi. The server recommended to get the Ahi with furikake and macadamia and it was delicious. The fried rice was great - it wasn't too greasy, oily or heavy and had a nice amount of flavor. The Kalbi was tender and I loved the marinade. Overall the experience was tasty and we got served very quick! And everyone was very friendly. Would definitely go back. read more

Eggs 'n Things is the place I go to when I want a quick and satisfying breakfast. We've tried various dishes over the years, and usually my go-to is the Eggs Benedict - I've tried this at almost every breakfast-serving place I visit, and this one is one of the best I've had - but lately I've been getting the Hawaiian Loco Moco and this is a good one if you need a meal that will leave you feeling full and content. It is so tasty with the hamburger patty and diced Portuguese sausage, and top it with 2 over easy eggs and you won't need to eat lunch because it's filling! My son likes to get the pancakes or waffles topped with strawberries and whipped cream, but at this last visit, he got the French Toast Special (blueberries, cream cheese and whipped topping) and it was delicious! Service is always great and really quick. They are attentive and regularly come to check on you. I like how the tables are spaced out nicely and it's a very peaceful and enjoyable atmosphere. Don't forget to mention if you're Kama'aina - you get a little discount! read more

This is a review that's been in the making since Dec. 2023! OMG! Hubby and I came to Honolulu, Hawaii for a much needed relaxing vacation. We were staying at a really nice hotel and were both really tired from our long flight and wanted to just relax. The next morning on December 5, 2023, hubby decided to place a delivery order from UberEats. When the food came, I was ready as I was hungry. I couldn't believe it when we opened the food trays. The food looked so good and the presentation was AMAZING. We had the Kimchi Fried Rice. On top was a scrambled egg in the shape of a flower which I loved. It was too pretty to eat but eat we did. That is some of the best fried rice I have had in my life! So flavorful. He also got the Hawaiian Thick Sliced French Toast. It tasted as good as it looked. We ate everything! We were so grateful they were available through UberEats so we could just chill outside our room on the balcony and watch the views of Waikiki Beach. Wonderful food! You won't be disappointed. To this day, we still talk about how good Eggs 'n' Things food was. I have since had dreams about that fried rice! Wish I could get it back home. A+++++!! read more

Hmmmm. I wish I could give more stars. I was super excited to get the waffle with blueberries, no whip cream, since I saw a photo of the whip cream and it was way too much. My waffle tasted burnt. :( . The blueberries were sweet. But I was jus so sad about the burnt taste. We kid got strawberry waffle and bacon and he enjoyed it. The bacon was super crispy and yummy! We also ordered pancake, egg and corned beef hash. When we got to our table, it was all wet including the seats. The family next to us said there was a big water accident from the family before us. Not too cleanly. Service was pleasant. But not my favorite place to go to. Sorry. read more

We came back to eggs n things for breakfast when a couple of other options were closed. And they were super busy on a Saturday, but service was excellent. We had a bit of a wait but it was worth it. The wait staff is so kind and helpful. To be that friendly even after being busy on your shift is special. I hope people realize this and I highly recommend this location. They also recognized a regular and I thought that was so nice of them. The food was delicious as usual. The kalbi is still good as is the loco moco. Definitely worth visiting. read more

Eggs n things is a highly popular breakfast spot with several locations on the island. We frequented the piikoi location when they first opened years ago, but it's a huge tourist attraction, so stopped putting it in our rotation. On a Friday morning, my grandpa and I waited about 15 min to get seated. They were bustling, but the service was good and the menu, extensive. We ordered a massive omelette and two short stacks, which left us with leftovers for later in the day. I've never been to the Waikiki locations, but have seen people lining up outside for breakfast at those as early as 6am. Unsure we'd be that desperate to eat here, but it was yummy and a homie feeling spot with both visitor and local clientele alike. read more

Love love love eggs 'n things! Especially if there is coconut syrup involved. But everything I've had here has been very very tasty. Looked for a spot a bit out of Waikiki and was happy to find one near the Ala Moana center. I expected a wait when we arrived at noon on a Sunday but there wasn't one (swung by on the way from the airport). This is about the size of the two-story location in Waikiki. it's in a strip mall just outside the giant parking garage so maybe people don't find it? Anyway just as awesome and looks like a diner just like the spots in Waikiki. Our server was great and kept the coffee and water coming and made sure we had everything we needed. I was a bit nervous when we first sat down and saw that the only syrup on the table was just normal maple syrup (uh oh!). But I knew the food would be good even if they didn't have the coconut syrup (sniff!) so we sat down and ordered. When I asked about coconut syrup they brought it to my table (yay) and I was thrilled. I had the smoked salmon benedict and that was amazing also. So if you want to get away from the crowds definitely come here and check out this location! read more

Came here around the brunch hour on a state holiday that landed on a Wednesday during spring break. The wait was about 15-20 minutes. I'd recommend putting your party on the waitlist prior to arriving so your wait isn't too long, especially on a hot day. We got plantation iced tea, pancakes, eggs benedict, and a breakfast meat and eggs dish. As any other place, stir your drink else you'll just be sipping on juice or syrup. I opted for Portuguese Sausage with taro roll and rice for my eggs Benedict, because why not? It was okay but not something I'd go out of my way for. The pancakes were a little disappointing since it wasn't as fluffy as we'd hope it to be and the mount of whipped cream just toppled and melted quickly into the bland pancakes. At the end, we asked a worker to explain the 3% transaction fee for credit cards. His response was he didn't know, he just works there. Such a disappointing response because as a worker for the restaurant, you either know or refer to someone who does. Another worker said that to take the Kitchen Service fee (3%) and just double it and it'll be the amount for both the credit card and kitchen service fee. Again, wrong information! If you really like their food and don't mind these extra charges, the Kitchen Service fee is placed before taxes and the credit card surcharge is after taxes and tip. Don't bother asking employees because they all don't know. read more

Good breakfast place, a good less busy alternative to liliha bakery. I got the loco moco here and it was really good. Good coffee as well

Eggs 'n Things at the Ala Moana location is our go to place whenever visiting brother & cousins on Oahu. Food is ono

I ordered fried rice online through door dash and nowhere did it explain the ingredients of the dish. Then I receive the order and there's bean sprouts in my fried rice. Who puts bean sprouts in fried rice?!?!?! Horrible culinary taste. And on top of that I received a side of potatoes and the potatoes were deep fried. Horrible! For what this restaurant charges you'd think they'd know how to make proper breakfast potatoes. Not just buy diced potatoes and deep fry them. I will never be back. Not recommend them. Although the wait was a bit long, food was good and service was good. What more can you ask for.

I have had food here several times. This was first time service was terrible. Seated very quickly but didn't see waiter at all. Received water from busboy after 8 min but waited 10 minutes with no interaction with anyone else. No coffee offer. While I generally understand how difficult waiting tables is, our wait was over 12 minutes without even waithelp giving us an estimate. As we left, I told the counter help why we left. No apology, no acknowledgement of the inconvenience whatsoever. While not a fast food restaurant, it's not fine dining either. Food is usually good there. I was disappointed in the service!!! read more

Thought we'd give it a try. Staff was friendly and we were seated upon arrival. For the amount of tables occupied, I thought we had made a good choice. It had a good variety of menu items. I decided on an acai bowl which was great but I was half through before the french toast plate arrived covered with whip cream. There was no syrup and by this time it had gotten a little busier and no one stopped by to ck on us. I had to wave the server who said, "it's right there. Oops, it's supposed to be," and went to get a container. Meanwhile, we found that the whipped cream covered toasts were burnt! Even the knife had difficulty cutting through them. read more
