The egg rolls are so delicious and addicting (I've tried crab rangoon and spinach fillings). They have great vegetarian options too. The boba tea is also really good (I recommend the green tea one) but can tend to be on the sweeter side (you can adjust sweetness). The staff is very friendly. The location itself is quite small so I tend to take the food elsewhere or eat there then head out. I would not recommend their tofu bento because it was very dry and tasteless. read more

uhhh I don't know how this place has SO many positive reviews . The prices are genuinely through the roof and food barely qualifies as decent. The rice is dry and does not seem to freshly cook. Part of me believes they are just serving frozen food .. because that's what it taste like. That would be passable if not for the prices. They truly take full advantage of their location being one of very few food option around the uml north campus . I hope they know their mediocre restaurant which serves at premium prices would NOT be able to get business anywhere else around Lowell . Serious reconsider these prices because it honestly feels as if they are just taking advantage of hungry students desperate for a meal . read more

I go here often between classes for bubble tea and about once a week with friends for eggrolls and fried rice. They have a wide variety of bubble tea flavors and eggroll flavors; vegetarian and all different kinds of meat. They also have lattes, coffee and tea, and beer. Parking is $1 an hour and max 2 hours, sometimes it's hard to get a spot, but no fault of their's. The staff is super friendly and helpful and they have an app that can get you coupons and rewards. I am completely sold on this concept. Tried the 8 pack of egg rolls. They let you choose 3 different flavors. Tried the broccoli & cheese (total yum!), mac & cheese (very creamy, delish!), and the samosa. They surpassed my expectations. The samosa is the real deal. The chile in it was pretty hot, so be warned. Had the egg rolls with chicken fried rice, sriracha on the side, and a large iced chai tea. I want another one! I ordered online through their website (Toast). Picked it up in a jiffy. I recommend this when you are craving egg rolls. They know what they are doing. I have my eye on the potato korokke. This was my first time visit,and I tried the buffalo chicken egg rolls and chicken fried rice.The rolls had great spicy taste and the fried rice was also worth a try,made with sticky rice and Mandarin spices. The name of this spot caught my eye as we drove by... imagine my surprise when my friend revealed that this was our destination! It is a colorful spot with interesting photos decorating the wall opposite the counter. Speaking of which, you order at that counter, and they'll deliver your selections to you if you choose to eat in at one of a number of tables. We ordered the $18.50 Selection Platter of Eggrolls, with our choices of the Spinach & Feta, Steak & Cheese, Crab Rangoon, and Peking for the Eggrolls. Each type of roll was presented with its own sauce for dipping - all well matched! All were served hot and tasty, particularly the Peking and the crab rangoon. The steak and cheese seemed a little skimpy of the the dip in the fryer as the contents shrank and stuck to the sides upon cooking. We also got the Island Chicken Bento Box $7.50 share. It was okay, but the thing to get here is the namesake eggrolls. I asked if any of the drinks used fresh fruit - nope. But we were offered a taste of their Boba Bursts. Visually, they reminded me of those huge glistening red fish eggs that are sometimes offered on on a bit of rice wrapped in nori in a sushi restaurant., however the burst of fruit nectar isn't at all greasy. The two of us exited the restaurant with such full stomachs having finished off the whole thing! Their take-out menu is a bit outdated price-wise, but the website seems up to date. Their bathrooms were a good example of how to use a closet of a space, since placing the sink outside the two individual rooms of toilets kept them from feeling too tight. read more

I have a love hate relationship with the egg roll café. Egg rolls are one of my fav. snacks in the world. I was like the only Asian kid's family that didn't know how to make them. So - I always sought them out at my favorite Vietnamese banh mi shops. Egg roll cafe is Americanize. I actually really like the intimate atmosphere. It's right next to uml and a great atmosphere to just hang. But the food- well it's no 60 cent amazing egg roll you get at the banh mi joints. Yet- I really like the steak and cheese, samosa, dessert ones, and any other the other fillings. It's like I want to hate crab rangoons because I'm Chinese and real Chinese people don't eat that stuff. However, I do. Yes, I really do. When I am back in town, I will see you again! read more

I was finally able to stop by and check things out at Eggroll Cafe--which has been a welcome addition to the neighborhood I grew up for quite some time now. I ordered a Thai Iced Tea, which was quite good--and the boba was on point. The customer service was attentive and friendly, which makes Eggroll Cafe a small business one also wants to support. 4/5 The concept of this place is unique and I was very excited to come here based on the Yelp reviews. We got the 4 flavor eggroll sampler plate (Crab Rangoon, Bacon Egg & Cheese, Singapore, and Taco). I loved how each flavor had its own dipping sauce and overall the food was delicious. The Crab Rangoon was was my favorite! We also got Taro Milk Tea with red bean jelly and Asian Dulce drink which is essentially just Vietnamese Iced Coffee. The drinks were so so. I felt that they were too sweet and the red bean jelly was not actually jelly but the sweetened red bean filling you can buy out of cans in Asian supermarkets. That filling tastes good in bao but not as good in Milk Tea. I will be back to try more eggroll flavors!! read more

I went here for a Thai tea occasionally. The owner had the audacity to put his hands on my boyfriend over a mask. They had let him come in before without one at the very beginning of the pandemic because he was forgetful. We were all still getting used to it. He's lucky I was on my way somewhere because I had called the police and the owner followed us to our car. If I had the time to wait for the police to show up I would have. Disgusting behavior. People just think they can act however they want these days. read more

Tried two of the eggroll types: The steak n cheese and the crab rangoon. Both were very good, but the crab rangoon was the far better of the two. Absolutely LOVE this place. It is most definitely a Gem of a find in Lowell. I always get the same thing: Chicken Teriyaki! I have ordered a few other items from the menu in the last, and they were all very good (Chicken Katsu, Asian Caesar salad, Egg roll Salad) but the Chicken Teriyaki is my ultimate favorite. I was absolutely blown away upon tasting my honeydew slush. I was torn between ordering that or a taro slush as my first try item. But I usually am. Anyways, the slush's consistency was great. Some others I've had we're like the way snow feels when you're making a snow ball and it sticks together and is difficult to break, but it's not frozen solid. I hope that makes sense to someone, probably doesn't. But I digress. Also, their eggrolls are the bomb.com. I've only tried the crab rangoon and spinach and feta ones. The exterior of them are perfectly flaky and delicious, but making a mess is sort of effortless. Overall, this is my #1 choice when it comes to bubble tea. What an awesome find this was!! Although i am not a student, this is a college kids dream. Good quality, great tasting, CHEAP food close to campus. To top it all off, the service is quick and the staff is exceptional. Had 3 of the many egg roll offerings: Simosa, cheeseburger, and crab Rangoon. All good, but the crab ragoon takes the prize. Crispy, creamy goodness. Also had the chicken curry soup which was also top notch as far as soups go. It is a healthy portion and could have served as the main dish all on its own. The surprise here was the bubble tea, strawberry. I would come back here just for that drink alone. Can't wait for round 2! Keep up the good work team!! read more

There is limited parking by the restaurant. Your luck is pressed to off-street, metered parking as I didn't see any free parking lots for surrounding businesses. I've seen signs for Eggroll Cafe dispersed randomly throughout the collegiate area of town (close to the part of town I'm grew up in)... and I never went in thinking it was too catered for the local college students. Well, I'm pregnant now and I decided I wanted an atypical egg roll! Upon walking in, the restaurant is decently decorated. It reminds me of bubble tea shops out in the west coast. Immediately to your right would be the area where the employees make bubble teas. There is a small cooler by the register where you can purchase soft drinks, water and Asian drinks to go with your order. There's also a little bookshelf of board games you can play to pass time. After seeing such rave reviews on Yelp, I decided enough was enough and I needed to try something off the menu. Over a span of two weeks, my H, brother and I have tried the crab rangoon, steak & cheese, buffalo chicken and spinach & feta, samosa and chicken curry egg rolls. The best of what we tried were the crab rangoon (the Yelp reviews weren't kidding- they're really good! Just make sure you order 'em and eat 'em fresh or they're so-so...) and buffalo chicken. The curry chicken was less than desirable. Moreover, the bubble tea selection, like many of the other shops in town, are prepared with powder. Ehh. I prefer drinking the real stuff, but whatever. Also, I have to note that the egg rolls are not prepared fresh to order. The egg rolls are made, in bulk, some time in the weeks or months prior and fried to order. Went for the first time yesterday and it was pretty good. I ended up getting an order of basil chicken egg rolls and the island chicken bento plate. The egg rolls were cooked perfectly and very flavorful and came out piping hot. The chicken dish was pretty good, although the skin was slightly slimy and would come off in one large piece which was difficult to chew especially when eating with chopsticks and not a fork and knife. Serving size was excellent and I left full. The only reason I dropped this review to four stars was because I ordered a strawberry iced tea which was delicious and full of flavor and sweetness the first time, and then when I bought another one it was made with barely any strawberry flavor, it basically just tasted like black iced tea which was disappointing and shows lack of consistency. read more
