Reliably delicious food and great service! Good for a casual lunch or a special occasion.

    Iced Milk Tea

I happened to be circling around Lowell and found this Vietnamese restaurant with easy parking for my tea fix. It's nice spacious dining room area with old school Asian decors. And using glass surfaces on the tables so it's easier to clean up the splashes from people eating pho, very smart. Milk Tea- First time, it's way too sweet. But I was forgiving because 1) I was on the hunt around the area for quite a bit before I turned around and found this place 2) I could taste the tea! The second time is super annoying. We were conveniently down the street and I just wanted milk tea. Nope! It's a cup of milk for $4. And I happened to get two orders of these. Disappointed. Steamed Rice w/ Grilled Sliced Pork- The pork was a little dry but the marinade was decent. To be fair, I didn't use their house-made fish sauce which would have enhanced the flavor. l'm not a heavy sauce user anyways when I dine. Overall Service: I felt a little rushed. I just got in and started opening one of the menus at the hostess booth and the lady whips around from the corner asking me if I was ready. I needed at least a few minutes to peruse the menu. And then she asked again which she then told me to sit down at a table. So awkward and pushy, at least get the milk tea right! Jeez. But let's leave this review on a positive note-- they have their own little private parking spaces in front and the side of the building!

This place should have good heating/air conditioning but this place was freezing when i came in. I was hoping to warm up to eat here but they have air conditioning on when its below degrees out. They have parking, the people that work here makes you feel rushed when youre not ready. The food is decent but not great. I come here a few time but as of lately this place just sucks compared to the one near plain street.

Food is usually very fresh and tasty! My go to meal here is the stir fried noodles with chicken! Crab rangoons are a little dry and lacking actual crab.

I stopped by for lunch during a business trip and found the place underwhelming. The staff was curt and uninterested. The pho was mediocre at best with portions smaller for the price. At $10 for a medium, the bowl was small. Overall the broth was bland and I would return.

Parking is a bit tricky as there are only 5-6 spots in the front and side parking lot. The restaurant is just your average Vietnamese restaurant with basic decor. When we arrived, there was only one other table and one waitress working that evening shift. We were starving and I wanted everything on the menu. The Mo and I shared a few different appetizers and kept it "Tapas-style" like. We started with the Vietnamese fresh spring roll "Goi Cuon" along with an order of fried tofu and eggroll. The apps were good but nothing spectacular. My favorite dish was the Fried calamari. It was crispy and flavorful. We shared a large bowl of sliced rare steak and meatball Pho Noodle Soup. The broth lacked flavor and it wasn't great. Overall, it was a "Quick Fix" but we probably won't be back for a while. We will just stick to our "Go-To" places like Viet-Thai in DTL or Pho88 in Drumhill. To see pictures, visit http://www.mami-eggroll.com/2014/03/pho-da-lat-on-middlesexxl-20-sliced.html

I've never been one for Southeast Asian cuisine but figured I'd give it a shot one night. I drove by in the later part of the evening and despite the big sign out front, thought to myself that it looks conspicuously like a house. Walking up the front steps and seeing inside didn't dispel that feel at all. Seating is spacious and decor is comfortable, but I couldn't escape the feel that I was in a converted home. Service is prompt and you had better know what you want or at least be able to speak up. I went with the waitress's recommendations of spring rolls (Goi Cuon), Vietnamese crepe (Banh Xeo), and chicken curry. First and foremost, the portions are large, especially given the inexpensive prices. Everything was solidly tasty and spicy here is not a weak seasoning so exercise caution if it's not your thing. I can't recall the exact dish my cohort ordered, but I do know it was one of the larger soup bowls I've seen on this side of the Pacific. All I know is bring your appetite here and be ready for a cornucopia of tastes and flavors. Overall the look, feel, and ambiance is casual with no frills. I would easily believe all of the food has the attention to detail necessary to be great and the prices won't exclude the budget conscious. I would definitely return again and recommend it to anyone in the area thinking of stopping in.

Overall, the food is pretty good. However not that great of a value. We thought it was a little skimpy on the shrimps. We ordered: Vegetarian Pad Thai. Seafood Medley. Lemongrass Shrimp. The Seafood Medley didn't really have much seafood pieces. Only to prices of fish cake, 2 shrimps and some calamari. $13.95 The Lemongrass Shrimp only had 6 shrimps. $12.95. The Pad Thai was good but unexciting. A good combo of tofu, egg and veggies. Drinks - I was going to try a Scorpion Bowl, but the price was outrages! $11.95 for a single and $17.95 for 2 people. Ouch! I had a Mai Tai for $7.95 instead. The Mango Bubble Tea was good. Service is a little slow for an empty restaurant.

Every dish I've ever tried was flavorful, well-prepared, and clearly made with care. You can tell a lot of heart goes into the cooking here. On top of that, the staff is wonderful -- friendly and genuinely welcoming, which always makes us feel valued as guests. Unfortunately, I have to rate my current experience four out of five stars due to an issue that significantly impacted our meal. While we were eating, there were cockroaches crawling on the wall near us, which was extremely unsettling and completely tainted the experience. It made it very difficult to continue enjoying our food, despite how delicious it was. I say this with sincerity: if the restaurant can fully address the cleanliness concerns, including any cockroach or rodent issues, I truly believe this place can return to being a solid five-star restaurant. The food and the people are already there -- it just needs that final, crucial piece to match the quality of everything else.

It was also, apparently, less salty, presumably for the same reason. The amount of kimchi in the "sample" was so plentiful as to almost fill up the mini cup we used for takeout. They have a large selection of vegetarian and vegan food, as well as some gluten free items, though they lack the staff and kitchen size to accommodate celiacs, so it's really more of use for people on elimination diets or with poor digestive capabilities. The owner had prior training in Italian cuisine, which is the reason such food is on the menu, and while neither my father nor I had occasion to try it, it is apparently a passion of the chef's, and the shared discussion of their mutual interest in Italian cooking may be the reason my father was given a free "sample" of kimchi, which was larger than the paid order of kimchi at most other restaurants. The food portions, in general, are massive, with the leftovers of an order of wonton soup not fitting in a to-go canister, with other orders being similarly large. Their jasmine tea is unusual for its slight fruity flavor, and ability to "overbrew" without becoming bitter, instead maintaining its delicate flavor. Each table has condiments, which in addition to including the "normal" chili crisp, and fish sauce often found at Asian restaurants that provide table condiments, have the more western pepper grinder, as well as garlic salt. Curiously, there is no "normal" salt as often found at western restaurants, though bottles of sriracha are found at every table. Perhaps the garlic salt and sriracha are the restaurant's "unique twist"?

Still excellent, still sweet (though now more noticeably spicy too), and still important to remind that the dishes here are not necessarily attempting authentic cuisine of specific regions (even though specific dishes are named), but more of a freestyle approach. Still a little weak on the service (more about being young, unfocused and lacking initiative than anything approaching rudeness). Still highly recommended.

I just wish the broths were boiling beforehand because the table heats up pretty slowly. Aside from that, they have a really nice hotpot combo for $23.50 during dinner time and you can pick one broth, one carb, one protein, and it comes with a vegetable bouquet, so I think it's pretty affordable as long as you don't order any extras. It's individual hotpot so you don't have to share pots and worry about sharing. The mala broth is superb and I think it's so flavorful because they use pho broth as the base. It does get sweeter as it boils down, but I guess I kind of prefer that over regular hotpot that gets saltier over time. They have a nice sauce bar with a good variety and even have pickled onions and jalapeños. If you're looking for a spicy and zesty sauce you can try my usual combo of: garlic, chili peppers, barbecue sauce, cilantro, scallions, red vinegar, and squeeze two slices of lime. The meat quality is not bad. They have meat combo platters as well if you want to order more meat on the side. I tried the blue jolly expecting it to taste sour like a blue jolly rancher, but it was more sweet and too strong for my liking. I tried the lychee green tea and it was not bad, a subtle taste of lychee. Aside from that the place is pretty big and they also have a separate bar room that you can eat in as well since this place was a tavern/club. Anyways I'm going again for the 3rd day in a row!

Holy moly. Very expensive. The rice dish was $20 plus $3 for egg and if you want fried rice another $2. For $25 bucks it was mostly rice. The highlight was the mee ka tahng, full of flavor and delicious sauce. Again, skimpy on meat... 3 shrimps and few slices of beef. Do I recommend this place, not really. Take a drive to Lowell Ma for a more authentic, affordable and generous portion of Khmer food. One good thing here is they have a full bar. But the drinks were weak, watered down for $14.
