After a few days away from NY, I was ready for a boba fixing! My fiance & I ordered the oolong milk teas with boba and 70% and 50% sugar levels. Neither one of us could finish our drinks. The sugar levels were WAY off from what we expected. 50% felt like a full 100%, and 70% was just insanely sweet. The boba itself wasn't great but it wasn't bad either. read more

Welcome Gong Cha to Lowell! They kicked off the grand opening week with buy one any size drink and get one medium-size drink free, which of course they had a massive line for. Is it worth the wait? Well if you never had a chance to try them out yet, sure! But it is a chain and there are multiple locations in Massachusetts now. Inside, they have a few table seatings along the way down the hall heading towards the bathroom in the back. Once you ordered and pay for your drink, move aside until they call your number on the receipt. This Gong Cha is located in a strip mall area with a moderate size parking lot. Some spaces are designated for other businesses but there are spaces even with the long line out the door. Milk Foam Dirty Brown Sugar Milk Tea- I went with the least amount of sugar, which is 30% here, less ice, and with pearl. The pearl was on the chewier side, not my favorite but not bad either. The drink was expectedly sweet and was a good pick-me-up for a week I'm having. Not sure how often I would get this though just because I normally don't like super sweet drinks. Milk Foam Green Tea- 30% sugar, less ice, and no extra toppings, and this was way more my preference. If anything it's deceiving because I couldn't taste the sugar and more of the green tea! It's refreshing in this 90-degree weather. Easily my go-to! Overall Service: As long as you have a phone or like to randomly talk to strangers, the line doesn't feel excruciatingly long. The staff here are friendly and made recommendations. They picked the Milk Foam Green Tea for me and they were right, it's a good choice! read more

Worst gong cha I've ever had. The whole drink itself tastes like straight up, sugar and water. I don't taste the tea or milk too much tapioca soaked in sugar. I took two sips and three out the rest. So did my partner and he ordered a dirty brown sugar. I think overall the drink itself was too sweet because of the tapioca. No fan or air conditioner was turned on so it was very humid inside. Very disappointed in this location. Won't try again. read more

It is always exciting when a new boba shop opens up in town. My first Gong Cha experience was about a year and a half ago when I discovered a shop at the Burlington Mall. I like that you can get, for example, a lychee oolong tea that tastes more like the actual tea than a sugary lychee syrup that is added after the fact. Being able to customize the order to 0% sugar and ice level is also great. The staff was also friendly and welcoming, and I went to the shop during some off hours where I was the only customer there. The main reason why it is not a 5 star from me is honestly the price. I got a large lychee oolong tea w/regular boba, no tip, and it was almost $7 ($6.69 to be precise). Holy crap. I know inflation is affecting a number of businesses right now, but damn, that's an expensive boba. It's a bummer because if the tea were even a little less expensive, I could see myself coming around here a little more often. But at this price point, I sadly can't justify dropping by more frequently. I'll keep Gong Cha in mind for those special boba occasions :). read more

Came here on opening day when they had a bogo deal and ordered the green tea with milk foam, passion fruit green tea, taro tea, Thai iced tea, and the pearl milk tea! This was my first time at a Gong Cha and love that you can customize the ice and sugar level. The taro tea actually tastes like taro (I know it's probably made with powder but it didn't taste like it). I ordered my drinks with no or 30% sugar and I think I would have had a little more sugar with the pearl milk tea. The passion fruit tea was tart and refreshing. The milk foam tea was pretty good as well. As they are new, please be patient. They are truly doing their best. read more

Not impressed, asked for regular sweet for both drink and we received 70%. Peals in the milk tea are very bland and drink is ok for some reason the pearl milk tea does have a diet drink after taste. Taro milk slush is ok but we also ordered pearls label clearly list pearl and it is missing. Over all its place but Gong cha will not be my go to choice in the Lowell area. read more

My go to when in the area...the tsar and quality are great; that's what keeps me coming back! However, I feel like if there was an order ahead app, it would help this team out tremendously. The past 3 out of five times I have been there recently; there have been folks who have been ordering 12 or more drinks a time and holds up other guests as the staff prepares as best as they can the drinks. I wish they had an option to order ahead so the wait doesn't have to be 30+ minutes if you want something that requires mixing or stuck behind a big order. read more

Came here with my sisters on a Friday afternoon and ordered three Milk Teas with Boba. It didn't take too long since there was only one person ahead of me. The taste is consistent with how I'd expect a Milk Tea to taste and the boba was nice and chewy. read more

This review is for the workers. Not the food. I always likes gong cha and was so excited when they open at Lowell ( I went to burlington one before) So I'm meeting my friend yesterday and bought 6drinks for my self and she bought 3drink for her self. We sat, and it was so hot yesterday. They have fan going on but one of the employee move it to facing the cashier area. Customers comes and go, never really packed and need our table, Yes we talked for a long time there, then the employee just start passing by while looking at his watches several times. And one time I saw the cashier head picking out toward us, we were so uncomfortable and feel like they are kicking us because we are sitting there for a while. Oh! They turned the music so loud to the point we can't even hear each other. It's so rude! I think as a paying customer who not only buy 1 drink and sit forever, I am allowed to sit like starbuck did. Side note: if you don't want anyone to sit and linger I think you should get rid of the table and chairs (they have 4 sets of table and extra chairs. Last thing no it's not closed yet. They closed at 9, they have been doing this since 7pm! You know what? They got their wishes granted! We will never gonna go back there again and as I look for their business to leave this review, I found alot of business doing the same thing they do in lowell!! Hey! Something about the tea flavors that taste so watered down. It's definitely not as flavorful as other gong Cha locations. Pearls were poorly made. Also, the older lady who i think is the owner was quite rude to her employees. Terrible vibe. read more

Ordered 4 drinks but it took forever for them to make them. The taste is average at best compare to other Gong Cha stores, too much sugar and too little tea. Sorry I'd rather go to Chinatown, Allston or Malden store. read more

i ordered 4 different kinds of tea, 3 medium one large! and they brought out 4 mediums and it was ALL regular milk tea. then i had told them that we had ordered a large and when they brought out our large it was once again a plain milk tea, however it was 2x sweeter than the others. the mediums tasted like straight milk and there was no flavor! boba was extremely hard and gross! worst boba shop i have ever been to. and i would not go back unfortunately read more
