Staying in a hotel nearby so grabbed lunch here since I read that Thursdays were Sancocho days! I've never had sancocho before but had Dominican friends who love it. I ordered it for lunch and got a small side of rice- for $7! I was so surprised at the flavor- I was expecting brothy, thick, and comforting but it was a huge hit of garlic and delicious seasoning! I ate all my rice by using it to scoop up all the broth (which was really more like a sauce!). There were pieces of bone-in chicken, carrots, potatoes, plantain I think, and maybe even sausage. It was very savory and hearty. Most customers ordered from the Dominican dishes in the front - the cashier will show you what they have for lunch that day. You order and pay at the front and can either get it to go or dine-in. Dining in was very comfortable - a lot of tables and chairs and kept clean.

Beef, plantains, and yellow rice. Delicious!

Absolutely DELICIOUS! I came in with my newborn, and I was treated with such kindness! The food was divine. I can't wait to come back.

Yellow rice, beef with sauce & salad

My favorite place to get a plate of Spanish food in Lowell! I got yellow rice, beef with sauce, & salad. There are 2 different types of beef, pork, & chicken. You could pick either yellow or white rice and salad or plantains. For a plate it costs about $12. I think it use to be like $6-8 before COVID :( but this place is so delicious and the women that works there is super sweet!

Nice to try a new place in downtown Lowell for lunch. I got a grilled chicken wheat wrap with sauteed red peppers and onions and melted cheese. It was really pretty good and the price was more than fair at $6.00. It looked like they had a handful of hot Spanish dishes that a few people had ordered... seemed like good portions too. Parking can be an issue in downtown Lowell, but you can usually hunt something down if you keep your eyes open. I would say that Time Out is definitely worth trying out for breakfast or lunch. I want to try a few more of their menu items and then revise my review accordingly.

Really solid lunch, reasonably priced, nice owners. I'm happy to give this place my money. Lowell could use a few more places like it.

When we got there we were a little confused because it was also a store. towards the back they have a little restaurant and a menu where you can choose how many pieces of chicken you want with fries or plantains. However, while we were waiting in line we talked to someone that frequents the establishment and they said to not order off of that menu and just go further down the line and order off what's on the table. So I took her advice and ordered some Spanish rice with chicken stew and one piece of fried Chicken. The food smelled amazing the entire drive home and when we got home we started to eat. There was a lot of rice which is great but not needed and the chicken was very good. I actually preferred the fried over the stew but that's just me. I'm sure if I had more of the stew sauce on the rice it would have made a bigger difference but I didn't have a lot on my plate. Over all the places good and I would love to go back again and try something new.

It's a market with a counter where the staff are continuously cooking. To my surprise they had fried pork. I had to have it. And it was delicious. Great place. Will make it one of my regular stops.
