Chicken Katsu - The image shows a metal tray with a meal consisting of a mound of white rice, green beans, and grilled chicken topped with sauce. A small container of coleslaw with a cherry tomato is also present. The tray is placed on a wooden table, with a fork and napkin in the foreground and another similar tray in the background.

My boyfriend went to school around here and said this place was his favorite place to eat. We stopped by and I got his usual, and it was such a simple meal but it was so good. The food came out very fast and hot. The chicken katsu was crunchy and seasoned well and the rice was perfectly steamed. The meal overall was good and well portioned. The restaurant also had Vietnamese coffee, which was refreshing. There were lots of students around so it felt very chill. I can see why my bf loves this place! If we lived closer, I would come back for sure!

Takoyaki Egg Rolls (3 Orders) Original Pork, Crab Rangoon, Chicken Basil - Two foam containers hold food on a wooden table. One contains six fried spring rolls with small cups of dipping sauces, while the other contains takoyaki topped with sauce, bonito flakes, and mayonnaise. A paper bag and a drink are partially visible in the background, indicating a casual dining setting.

I haven't been to Eggroll Cafe since like 2018 and my husband wanted to try it again so bad, so we went. They had a cute display of merch items like insulated bags(?), shirts, plushies, etc. I noticed the Bossen poster on the window so I had an idea of what the boba tea would be like, as a former Bobarista myself. Our server was very kind and helped explain anything we needed help with. We got both the Raspberry fruit tea and slush, and I got the hot taro milk tea because it was chilly outside. We didn't get boba pearls tho, so I can't comment on the texture. The raspberry tasted just as I expected it to from my experience using the Bossen brand. It was candy like. The taro also brought back the nostalgic taste of sugary taro of the Bossen powder, contrary to what most boba shops use nowadays which is different brands that taste more "natural". It was nice, but I probably should've asked for less sugar. We got 3 orders of egg rolls, which if you're confused on how to order, each order you get comes with 2 egg rolls, and 1 flavor for each order. So we got the original pork, crab Rangoon, and chicken Basil flavors. The original was good, crab Rangoon was good, and chicken basil was also good with a lot of mozzarella cheese inside. It came with dipping sauce as well, but we wanted to try it as it was. It was good, but not good enough to spend $13 on. I also got the takoyaki and was really good, comparable to the taste of Bonchon and Teado's takoyaki. However, it make have been a little undercooked as I went to sleep and woke up with a stomachache. Even though we wouldn't come back to get drinks, we are interested in trying their other food like chicken katsu and supreme beef dishes.

Crab Rangoon, cheeseburger, and duck egg rolls - A metal wire basket lined with paper holds five egg rolls, each golden brown and cylindrical. Three small cups of dipping sauces—one light, one red, and one dark—are placed among the egg rolls. The basket is on a wooden table with a visible grain pattern, and a white napkin is seen in the background. The setting appears to be a casual dining restaurant.

Having had tried 4 different eggrolls, my favorites from most the least would be the duck, cheeseburger, buffalo chicken, and crab rangoon. In addition to the eggrolls, we also got their mango tea as well as passionfruit tea with boba. The pearls must not have been fresh as they were more on the firm side but the fruit teas did the job. Adjusting sweetness and ice levels weren't advertised as with other boba shops so I didn't make my usual adjustments. Overall, we had a good experience in this laid back establishment with fun flavors and options to pick from. Would come again to their some of their main dishes as portion sizes seemed to be huge.

I did not get the chance to visit their location in Lowell but I tried their food when I visited the Night Market in Boston. The egg rolls featured in the image are cheeseburger, Buffalo, and crab Rangoon flavored. They came with their respective sauces like ketchup, ranch, and sweet and sour. Cheeseburger flavor was quite beefy and cheesy. Buffalo one kind of reminded me of kimchi since it had some spice. Crab Rangoon spring rolls just tasted like typical crab rangoons but it was not bad. The takoyaki was aesthetically nice but taste wise too soft. Service was rather speedy despite having a large number of people at the market.

a man in the background - A plastic cup of bubble tea with a yellow-orange beverage and dark tapioca pearls at Eggroll Cafe. The cup features the cafe's logo and is placed on a table with a blurred person in the background. The person appears to be sitting at a table in a casual dining setting, with another drink visible in the background.

Are you kidding me? How is this not a national franchise??? Everything is so tasty and fresh. We had the chicken and Beef bento boxes; peach and mango boba teas; and delicious taco, buffalo chicken and crab Rangoon egg rolls. If you've ever had Chinese takeout egg rolls, this is sooooo much better, fresher and tastier. The staff is so fast and friendly, too. We're so lucky to have places like this in the area. Homegrown selling homemade.

Egg Roll Platter - A red, compartmentalized tray contains an assortment of eggrolls and spring rolls, some cut open to reveal fillings like vegetables and cheese. The tray includes three small containers of dipping sauces, such as ranch, sweet chili, and salsa. The setting appears to be inside Eggroll Cafe in Lowell, Massachusetts, with a person in a dark jacket visible in the background, and a drink and a smartphone on the table.

Egg rolls were amazing and very delicious. I got the crab Rangoon, Buffalo chicken, spinach & feta and southwestern egg rolls. Service was great! Definitely looking forward to trying other items on the menu.

I love the egg rolls, the different flavors are delish. They are cut in half, great to have a platter at a gathering on the table.

Ask the Community - Eggroll Cafe

Is there a discount for uml students?

As far as I know, there isn't. If you haven't seen their menu or been there, their prices aren't expensive, they are pretty decent. The flavors will be well worth the price. If you want to get a bang for your buck I'd recommend the Bento boxes or… Read more
