This is a basic breakfast place. It gives you a large amount of food but the service was awful. I never had a refill on my coffee (which tasted very bitter), my daughter spilled syrup on the table and it took 15 minutes to get my waitress' attention. Then she brought 3 napkins to clean up the entire mess and forgot to bring back my daughter's juice until after I paid the bill. I also had no room on the table to even put my leftover food in a box myself because not a single thing had been cleared from the table. I could go on, but it's not worth paying $3 for a kid's chocolate milk for that kind of service. No one even said goodbye or thank you when we left. I will not be back. read more

We were seated in this little area where every time the door opened or closed cold air blew at us which was miserable but we thought the food would make up for it. We were sadly mistaken. Coffee was not good, scrambled eggs were watery, bacon was rubbery, sausage was burnt, and the cinnamon swirl French toast was ok but nothing special. Waited 15 minutes to be seated with multiple open tables, once seated we waited 20 minutes for someone to take a drink order! Another 20 minutes for them to come back with our water and coffee and to take our order, 15 minutes for the food (fine), then we wanted refills once the food came. After 15 minutes, I decided to get up and ask another server for the refills. Our server was not seen for 30 minutes after we got our food! 10 mins to run my card for the check. Ridiculous! I hate complaining, I feel that sites like Yelp should be used for honest feedback, both good and bad, but I can't find anything positive about Flappy's. Let me start out by saying the food was good. I could have upgraded it to very good if it had come out warm. My sister and I stopped in on a Sunday (2/12/17) around 11:30 - the wait was too long so we came back around 1:00 when the wait was much less. 15 minutes later we were seated - so far so good. Then it began. I'm not sure if our server was overbooked or just wasn't trained properly but she was clearly not in a good mood and very inefficient, making multiple trips for small things that should have all come out at once. This BREAKFAST restaurant was out of orange juice and out of straws. Clearly they need help with inventory management but they could also walk next door to CVS to pick up some straws. Our food took 40 minutes to arrive. I am not exaggerating, 40 minutes for breakfast, the quickest meal to cook. About 10 minutes before it was delivered the server came around and said it would be just a few more minutes. It was obviously already ready because the food that was delivered was lukewarm, not warm, not steaming hot as it should have been. Oh, and my sister ordered her eggs without mushrooms - guess what was in her eggs? Mushrooms. After being in the restaurant for an hour and a half (FOR BREAKFAST!!! WHAT?!?!), I asked for the check. The server dropped it off, 1 minute later came back and asked if we were ready to pay. Wait, what? Now you choose to be speedy? There were 3 booths around us with kids. Not a big deal, I love kids, they were cute, etc. But the parents were all starting to complain about the service and the wait times - I mean really, at least whip up the kids pancakes orders, don't make them wait 45 minutes. Have you ever dealt with a hangry kid?!?? Luckily the kids and parents were all very patient, but I would not come here again, and I would certainly not come with kids. We really wanted to like this place - it was very close to where my sister and I live, and the area really needed a good breakfast spot. Unfortunately, this is not it. Something is wrong here - not sure if it's training, management or being new to the business, but I think these owners have another pancake house further west and if that's the case, I'm shocked they would let things get this bad right at the start. read more

First, the good: The service here is good. Friendly and attentive waitstaff. The bad: My friends and I all had hashbrowns, and all of us thought they were a little bitter. I'm not sure if that is because the potatoes were bad, they were just left on the grill too long, or what, but they didn't taste like normal hash browns. They tasted off. I ordered steak and eggs, and my steak was way overcooked. I cannot remember if I was asked how I wanted it and they just did not cook it right, or if I was never asked, but I always order medium and prefer any errors to be on the rarer side. Not asking would be a problem, and not cooking it to order would be a problem, too. I cannot be sure which problem happened here, but one of them did. In the interest of fairness, given the nice wait staff, I contacted the restaurant through it's website before deciding to post this review, because it is a new location and sometimes it takes a little time before a kitchen crew really has everything down, and if that was the case I might have more context for my review, but they never bothered to get back to me, so I guess they are OK with the experience I described, never bothered to check whatever email account the feedback goes to, or just don't care. Some indication that my experience was not typical or that they cared about it probably would have made me at least consider going back and giving them another chance. I didn't have time to send the steak back, and if I sent the hash browns back, too, that would be a big chuck of the meal, and I also don't especially like to take attention from my conversation with friends to complain. I also did not know until after we were ready to leave if I was alone in my opinion about the hash browns or if my friends share my opinion, but found out as we walked out that they did. So, here it is: Their food was just not very good, and I'd give them no stars, or 1 star due to the limitations of Yelp's rating system. The servers were very nice, and I'd give them 4 stars, maybe 5. Since the food is the main reason I go to restaurants, I'd give that a bit more weight so I give them 2 stars. My friends thought the other parts of their meal were OK, so they might give a higher rating than I did, but neither thought Flappy's is anywhere close to as good as the other places we meet for Sunday breakfasts. Frankly, there are too many much better breakfast options to choose from to pick this place if you are a fan of hash browns and consider them a key part of a nice breakfast out. Look at their other reviews and you'll see that I am not alone in being disappointed by their hash browns and their overdone steak. Their lack of a reply to my email and my suspicion that their cooks are not paying attention to what is happening on the grill tells me that the cooks and owners/managers really don't care very much about the quality of the food they serve. read more

Awful experience. I orders the Nutella strawberry banana crepes to go. When I got there all the staff was acting very strange and creepy. I ignored it and left with my crepes. When I went to open the box... they completely forgot the Nutella AND the bananas were all brown AND the strawberries were very sour. The styrofoam box was melted by the crepes. There was literally holes under where the crepes were from being melted. I had an immediate stomach ache after. Highly do NOT recommend. read more

I'm very upset with this restaurant service. The food for the most part is pretty good but the service is ridiculous. Order pick up today for Father's Day. Placed 1 order at 10:am and did not receive meal till 11:40. I was told by the young lady that it would be ready within 30 minutes since they were backed up due to Father's Day. So I went and bought my coffee and other hot foods(which by the way are now cold!)! This is freaking outrageous. They even took the phone off the hook (I'm assuming this since I called straight for 30 min and just got a busy tone)& many customers Walked out on them. Very bad experience, backed my plans up. I left my sweatshirt at Flappys and called the day after, and 3 times after that. Every single time they asked for my name and phone number and not once ever got back to me. On the second call to them I found out there waitress janell ended up taking it home with her. The 4th call I had talked to the owner and he promised me he would figure this situation out and give me a call back. I said I will be patient and I am easy to work with all I want is my $50 hoodie even if it took sometime. It's been a month now... And not ONCE did anyone reach out. I understand it was my fault for leaving it but for a waitress to steal it is the most unprofessional thing as was the way they handled my situation. Service was fair at best, plenty of people waiting on tables but didn't seem to have allot of experience. I took my family here for birthday breakfast and I have two kids under 3. They were good with my kids and we even had a little spill and they were attentive and helped clean it up. June was wonderful and we will probably come back. Food portions were good. My husband had the patty melt and soup. They were well seasoned. The biscuit was homemade and the gravy was OK. There are definitely kinks of a new restaurant that need to be worked out. 3 stars because the food was good although was not served as described on the menu (one example: ordered the pesto chicken sandwich and was supposed to be pulled chicken but was a whole piece of chicken....but not a deal breaker) the reason I didn't rate higher is that I was disappointed they don't have a baby changing station in either of their bathrooms and the service was a little slow. With Savoury being the only breakfast gig in town, we decided to try Flappys. Ate there today with the family, pancakes are awesome, eggs cooked perfectly, potatoes are great and not greasy, eggs Benedict very good too (says my wife). The skirt steak was thin, over cooked and very salty - I think they will change that because nobody in their right mind would order it again. That is why they get 4 stars. I came here to try pancakes after seeing a coworker's Facebook post. Isabella enthusiastically suggested what I already had a huge craving for but she was right these are some of the best pancakes and syrup! Overall very good and a lot of food for$9.50. Food was warm when I got home about 5-7 minute drive. Took approximately 10-15 minutes to make. The place was packed at 11:30am on a Saturday. We've been ordering from Floppy's I mean Flappys reluctantly for the past two years. Im sure today was the last time. Our food was old and cold. I specifically asked for no meat in my pacific scramble, but there was bacon. When I called Flappys, which I've never done before, I was able to over hear the waitress ask the chef did he make my food with meat and he replied yes. The final outcome was for me to call back in an hour to speak with the manager about getting a replacement meal. No thanks. The $21.58 I spent, I hope it keeps your business open. read more

My husband and I love the food here and occasionally you have the best server in the world. However when you don't have that one great server there, your experience is bad enough you don't want to go back. We had someone other than our server say hi and bring us water, I assume a manager or owner, and then 5-10 minutes later I saw him force our waiter to see to us. He came up and said "I assume you know what you want." Very unprofessional and short and after giving our order our food came very fast and he disappeared. No refills, no checking on if we were satisfied, and by the time he came we had completed eating and I asked for the check. He didn't even have the courtesy of bringing that to us, apparently he was just too busy. Then I paid to the lady that was tasked with his job and hope she gets his tip. As leaving neither my husband nor I was asked how everything was or told have a great day. My husband is done going here, so alas so am I. They do have great food, but they need to follow their waiters around to make sure service is great for everyone. read more

I came with my girlfriend and not only did mo waiter come to serve us, we literally saw two ladies not even get their coats off before coffee was being poured. When we decided to leave we weren't even given an option to stay but rather looked at as if we had done something wrong by even coming there. First and last time here. I wish I read the reviews here first before going today. We were sat at a crammed table with my back almost touching the booth behind me. The waitstaff and customers had to squeeze passed me to walk by. An older woman kept apologizing to me because I had to get up so she could walk passed with her walker. I felt terrible. Our waitress was polite and apologetic. She may have felt overwhelmed today because we didn't get silverware and she told us to taste our soda because she wasn't sure which cup had what soda in it. She also forgot a side of toast and dropped silverware on one of us. There was plastic in my soup. Gross. The waitress offered to replace it, but I declined. My family member ordered his dish without an ingredient due to his allergy of it. Guess what? It was in there....loaded with it. We were done with our meals when he got a new dish. You would think the manager would have talked to us about the kitchen errors. Nope. We had to ask to speak with him. He said he would talk to his kitchen staff. I'm not sure if there was a recent change in staff, but this place is so disorganized. We heard tables asking for silverware because the hostess didn't bring it, asking for their waiter to order and two people walked out because no one went to their table. The restaurant had two or three hostesses and probably 5 or 6 waiters working today. It's not a big place. First off, no Splenda. I know some restaurants don't keep it on the table but when asked have some. This place, just no. They have a 2 egg meal on their menu, asked for 1 egg instead of 2. The waitress came back and said I could have 1 but I would be charged for 2. Said no thanks, I'll just eat some of my husbands food.
