Skirt steak and cheese wrap
Marta M.

First time trying this place since we moved in last year and it was a great experience. We went on a weekday early afternoon and it was not busy at all. Service was very attentive and friendly. The restaurant was very clean and bright. The prices for the quality and quantity of food was definitely worth it (not bad at all). I tried the steak and cheese wrap and the veggies tasted very fresh and the southwest sauce was yummy! I tried a bite of the cinnabun pancakes and they were delicious!! The fresh fruit on top was a great addition. I liked the fact that they also have bloody Marys on the menu along with other breakfast cocktails and specialty coffee. We will definitely be back and hopefully make this our new go to brunch spot since it's so close and the menu seems to have a lot of good options on it for both myself (liking more savory/lunch) and my BF (prefers sweet/breakfast). Overall so far so good!

Nice local breakfast place, haven't been here for lunch. Great selection of food. Hash browns were cooked perfectly. Fast friendly table service even when they are busy.

Saw this place and thought I check it out. It nice inside and has a little bar area and and couple tables and booths. The place is clean. We got seated and it took a while before we where recognized by the waitress. There wasn't very many people. We got our drinks and we had order a strawberry banana smoothie and it came out with our meal. The ordered the Aztec omelette and it was good except for my aguacate was all brown might of been from the heat of the omelette. My son ordered coconut French toast, when he received his order it looked more like strawberry banana glazed French toast nothing to do with coconut. He didn't even eat them. I also had switched my pancakes that came with my meal for coconut French toast expecting coconut French toast and then the side order is the same size as the meal size. My wife got oatmeal and said it was good. My son had chicken and waffle and the chicken was okay but the waffle had a weird taste and hard. The service is poor, the girls working as waiters have a face like they just woke up and don't want nothing to do here. They take forever honestly. They are very nice but I don't think they like the job.

The food was delicious, with very large portions. The service was excellent, and the ambience was also very good. This hidden treasure we will definitely come back again and bring the rest of the family for breakfast or for lunch.

Been wanting to go here for breakfast for some time now! Finally made it. This review was during COVID, and their COVID practices were acceptable. Staff were wearing masks, plexiglass is between every booth, and customers were distanced. This was place was dramatically remodeled when it re-opened as Cinnamon, and it shows. Clean, well lit, and comfortable! Staff were friendly and attentive. The menu is ambitious with a great variety of breakfast specialties. It was hard to decide where to start, since this was my first visit. I ordered the plain crepes with blueberries. They arrived quickly, hot, and were tasty. They were topped with fresh blueberries, not any sort of "compote". Bonus! I'll definitely be back to explore more of their great menu.

I've been here a few times prior to this occurrence but I finally decided I needed to review…read more Some family and I went to breakfast for mother day. We already loved the food and atmosphere but Double Egg goes the extra mile. With how busy they were, we didn't have long of a wait. They said about 15 minutes give or take and I feel like it was less than that. We were seated in a booth and attended to fairly quickly. Quick enough that I barely got a chance to look at the menu and get ahold of my toddler. Our waitress gave us more time to check out what we wanted without us feeling rushed. Something I will always love at any restaurant is fresh squeezed juices. My favorite being orange juice, but they do have several others as well. The complimentary soup was delicious. Chicken and rice. I didn't think to order my toddler one because he can be fairly picky and I didn't want to waste it. Bad idea on my end apparently because I only got two bites -- while my toddler devoured the rest. I ordered a quart of the soup to go. SO glad that is an option! When our food arrived, which was fairly quickly in my opinion, my mom's was missing cheese. She brought it to our waitress's attention and her plate was immediately brought back with the missing cheese in place. I got the chilaquiles which were phenomenal. For those who are curious, the salsa verde that is used can be a little spicy for those with a more sensitive pallet. My toddler and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I feel that the prices are very reasonable. When we were leaving, my mother and I were each handed a rose and told happy Mother's Day. This was the extra mile. Not only do they provide so many made-in-house options (fresh squeezed juice, etc), and complimentary soups; they knew that something so small as handing out single roses to mothers, could make a huge impact.. and they did it. For those of us that are single parent and have toddlers, such a small act of kindness really goes a long way. Thank you Double Egg for going the extra mile. We'll definitely be back again.

It's definitely diner style vibes with a lunch counter and decor. Felt very bright and homey. Now for the food - the grilled chicken sandwich was SOOOOOO good! The chicken was juicy and flavorful. One of my favs I've had at a restaurant, honestly. Combined with the mushrooms avocado and melted cheese - it was amazing. My BF got the Willy's skillet and I tried a couple bites and it was definitely good. Fluffy eggs, perfect temp - loved it. The pancakes were fluffy and not too greasy (as some can be when cooked on a flat top with all the other things). The prices were very reasonable for the quality and quantity. We will definitely come back!

Upon entering the two young ladies were exceptionally friendly and sincere with smiling faces. They sat me at a cool old school booth. There is plenty of natural light coming in the large windows making the dining experience even nicer. The decor is original from likely decades ago but super clean and kept up. Plenty of people of all ages walk through the doors and know each other. A really homey comfortable legit diner. I went with the Hot Patty Special. Two eggs any style, buddies halves and homemade sausage gray with two sausage patties. Pretty bomb. Per the exceptionally good and cool server Alicia. Willy is behind the wall on the line cooking next to his son Miguel. She mentioned Willy been cooking here 35 years in several previous diners and took it over fur himself about two and a half years ago. Good on Willy!! He definitely knows what he's doing and so does his staff. Super happy folks here! I would definitely stop out here in Elgin again specifically to come eat here at Willy and Grace!

The Grumpy Goat feels like a rustic supper club but with an energetic vibe and signature menu items highlighted with a goat. The Bulleit Bourboun burger and fries were outstanding, and I look forward to returning and trying a steak. We held a meeting for nearly 70 people in their back room and had helpful amenities needed and tasty food. People especially liked the skillet dip and sausage and peppers. Plenty of on-site parking too and an innovative cocktail menu in addition to standard beer, seltzers and wines. And I could tell from the conversations between servers and customers in the bar area, that there are many regulars who keep coming back here. I can definitely see why. Thank you again, Chris and team for an outstanding experience.

See, Grumpy Goat consists of two indoor dining areas and an outdoor seating area within a slightly larger building also that has a locker room, golf shop, and meeting room. The food ranges from pub food, to sandwiches, to flatbreads, to great steaks. Both times, the bar area was louder and people tend to focus on drinks and appetizers there. There's a separate dining room beyond the bar area where full dinners seem more common. Given that my 2 trips were in November and December, don't have a good sense for the outside area. I could just see that there are several tables overlooking the golf course. On certain nights, they have live music. Great variety of drinks, appetizers, sandwiches/burgers, and entrees. Can go inexpensive, or can get a filet mignon and spent a lot. Filling choices. Prices are quite reasonable.
