Mixed berry cheesecake waffles, build a benny with ham and build a benny with bacon, beer battered potatoes
    Emmy T.

I'll start off with saying that this place is delicious, but I'd change a few things to my order if I went again. Build a benny w/ bacon, avocado & arugula: hollandaise is thin, with a mild flavor. Bacon is delicious and not too salty. HOW did the bread not get soggy despite being so fluffy, the world will never know. Build a benny w/ ham and egg: ham had a nice flavor and thinly sliced Beer battered potatoes: Get them. That's all. Mixed berry cheesecake waffles: the berries are weird. Ask for the berries on the side if you get this one. Waffles and cream cheese icing were delicious Overall: more of a stick to your ribs type breakfast. Delicious flavors, generous portions, and light flavors. The staff were friendly as well and the place was super clean.

This is a cute and cozy counter service place. Not much indoor seating available but there are quite a few tables outside for when the weather is much cooler. I order the biscuits and gravy with pork sausage and it was good but nothing really special to stand out. The drink options are the same. I had an iced coffee that is only served black- you add your own cream and sugar to doctor it up to your liking. I guess a little disappointing considering all the lovely options for specialty coffees out there now. Having said that if black coffee is your thing than you may love it. There are also some delicious looking lunch options that I'd like to try in hopes of moving their ranking up. I would give them a second opportunity to impress me.

Stopped by again and ordered the Loaded Smothered Yard Pimp burrito and the Mac and Cheese, both were delicious! It was a hefty breakfast and I definitely napped afterwards but boy was it worth every bite! I would definitely recommend trying both.

So the order process is interesting when we got there there was someone taking orders and then when they got busy they turned their computers around and made people order themselves. The food did come out quick. We tried the fried chicken and the BEC and a side of potatoes. The milk bread serve on was delish and the items were piping hot. Great flavor. I wasn't a fan of potatoes and gravy was spicy but all in all good. Will go back. We also did fresh oj and blood orange and both tasty. Solid breakfast Sammy!!

I was hopeful arriving, but left disappointed. I got the sandwich with the ribeye. The steak was VERY chewy, which turned my sandwich into a complete disaster. Also, I had paper in my sandwich( the paper that separates slices of cheese) and so I let the staff know. I was asked if I wanted a refund, but I declined. He then just walked away. For the cost of the sandwich, it wasn't a good experience and I won't be back.

Eggbred is the newest breakfast/brunch/lunch addition to the St. Johns scene. Artisan breakfast sandwiches, breakfast burritos, burgers, among other tempting items all customizable and made to order. Its a 3-table joint, so if youre dining in, best to go early, especially on the weekends. Ambience-bright, cheerful, cozy. Everything is a la carte, no combo meals, no fountain drinks (they have complimentary water and sell bottled/canned juices and soda). Take a menu from the counter, order from the kiosk, and have a seat while the magic happens. Bacon, Egg and Cheese Breakfast Sandwich $9.79: The Japanese Milk Bun is reminiscent of brioche, in case youre wondering. Bacon is textbook crispy, silky smooth runny egg (I ordered over easy), melty cheddar cheese, and a nice pop from the jalapeño ketchup. Messy? Yes. But deliciously messy. Eggbred Cheeseburger $11.49: Juicy angus beef, over easy egg, caramelized onions, crisp dill pickles, cheddar cheese, house dressing, toasted Japanese Milk Bun. Deliciously messy is a thing here, but in hindsight, I wish I would have added bacon for some extra crunch and umami. Cheddar Chive Biscuits and Gravy $6.99: Sadly my least favorite, as I found this to be way too salty for my taste. Beer Battered Potatoes $3.89: GET THIS. Perfectly fried to a crisp, spiralized, and tossed with in-house seasoning. A must-have accompaniment to everything else on the menu. Aside from the Biscuits and Gravy, my only other grievance would be the ambitious pricing, which is why I included the prices in my descriptions. Other than that, its a great establishment to satisfy your "Deliciously Messy" cravings. Once again, my fellow Yeeps, thanks for reading, and as always...SYOY!

Just the sandwich. Tempted to get the potatoes

Soo good. I found this place while Doordashing. I couldn't figure out what to order so I stopped a couple to ask. He referred me to TikTok. The videos quickly made it difficult to decide. Went with the general burrito. Seasoned Potatoes and a great scrambled egg . The burrito was large and took all day for me to eat. Loved it and will next time sit down to eat. Ordered to go so not sure about the ambience

Egg Bred just opened and it's already off to a strong start. The space is bright, clean, and modern, with a fun vibe inside and plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, which makes it a great spot whether you're grabbing a quick bite or hanging out for a bit. I ordered one of their breakfast sandwiches and it did not disappoint. The egg was fluffy, the bread was soft and fresh, and the melted cheese tied everything together perfectly. It could have used just a touch more seasoning, but even then it was still very delicious and extremely satisfying. Service was quick and friendly, and you can tell they're putting real care into what they're serving. This is exactly the kind of local breakfast spot Jacksonville needs. Already looking forward to coming back and trying more of the menu.

Great new brekkie option in Fruit Cove. Decor was beautiful. Service was a little slow but there was only one employee there when I went. I got the Nashville hot chicken sandwich. Loved the crunch on the chicken and the delicious milk bun but it felt like it was missing something... like a fresh element... a slaw topping on the chicken would have been perfect.

Well I'm here for a quick update. Had to come back for the LOADED The Smothered Yard Pimp and as the kids say it "still" slaps. Best breakfast burrito in town for sure. Also tried the SD Mac & Cheese which was a special and was tasty and soooooo cheesy. If we aren't brunchin where coming here for the best breakfast in JAX/St John's

They just opened and the food is amazing. I had the egg bread cheeseburger & arugula salad.

The exterior of the store and that days specials.

Stopped in for breakfast for my first visit ever to an EggBred location. This location was bright and clean inside and out. Our order was taken promptly and prepared in a timely manner. I tried The Ben Franklin sandwich which was delicious. My companions tried the Pork Chorizo Egg and Cheese sandwich and the Cheddar Chive Biscuit and Gravy. Both were very tasty! Look forward to trying it again sometime. FYI-Heard they will soon be opening a location in St. Augustine. Be sure to watch for it!

Visited on opening day so the wait was long but worth it. I'm originally from California and have yet to find a good breakfast burrito in JAX but knowing it originated in CA made me drive right over. I ordered the Applewood Smoked Bacon burrito. The potatoes are beer battered and they add a delicious and robust flavor. The green salsa verde that accompanies it is the perfect salsa for the flavor profiles in burrito. The inside is simple and clean and there is nice seating outside. I heard that you receive free coffee with every order but I am not sure if that is true. Please visit and keep this place busy.

I had French toast (just the regular but the cinnamon roll French toast looked really tempting). It was just slightly crispy around the edges and I love that. So often I will get French toast that's a little too mushy. This was great. I also had a side of bacon. Also crispy! I was pretty stuffed but I did also take a bite of my hash brown. It was delicious too and if I had more space I would have eaten it all. The coffee was great diner/cafe coffee. And if you enjoy that type, you'll know exactly what I mean. I drank it black and they also gave me a cup to go! We did have to wait a couple minutes for a table but not long at all. They turn over tables pretty quickly! Our server was wonderful and really on the ball. Our food came out pretty quickly too, in spite of them being quite busy. It was a little loud in there but not so much we couldn't hear each other. I do like that they have counter seating as an option! We needed a table this round to spread out coloring materials lol. But the counter looks like a nice place to sit too. Might have to go back to try the cinnamon roll French toast and a coffee next time!

It somehow exceeded every expectation. The coffee was incredible, and they had such a fun selection of specialty drinks. We ordered the breakfast burritos, and they were absolutely phenomenal. They were packed with flavor, made fresh, and honestly just as memorable as the doughnuts themselves. Speaking of the doughnuts... I don't even know where to begin. They're unlike any doughnut I've ever had. Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and loaded with creative flavors. If you're on a diet, you might want to avoid this place because once you have one, you'll want to try them all. The service was fantastic, and the atmosphere was warm, welcoming, and full of energy. We loved our first visit so much that we came back a second time during the same trip, which says everything. My fiancé walked out saying he wanted to open a Parlor Doughnuts in our hometown because it was that good. This is one of those places that completely lives up to the hype. If you're anywhere near Jacksonville, do yourself a favor and stop here. You won't regret it.

Seasoned so flawlessly I'm convinced a culinary fairy godmother tapped it with her wand. And that salmon sandwich? BABY. It didn't surprise me-- it snatched my wig, slid on my heels, and strutted across the table like it owned the establishment. I wasn't ready. I wasn't worthy. That portion was enormous, that cut was elegant, and I nearly applauded when it arrived. Service? Oh, darling. Legendary. I'm almost certain his name was Josh. The man glided over like he had cues, marks, and a script. Attentive without hovering, charming without trying, helpful without hustling. A hospitality KING. Give that man a crown and a raise. I've eaten my way through this sandwich menu like it was my personal world tour--and guess what? I'm starting back at the top for the encore. The fries? ICONIC. Crisp, golden, irresistible. If you order the chicken sandwich, do yourself a spiritual favor: put that ketchup down like it just insulted your mother, and grab a small cup of that sauce on your chicken for dipping. Your taste buds will ascend and you'll thank me later. Now... the Paloma. My God. That drink sashayed onto the scene sparkling with grapefruit glamour and citrus attitude. It wasn't just flavorful--it was flavorful with FEELINGS. Bright, bold, bodacious.
