I had analysis-paralysis and couldn't decide what to try today. As I hemmed and hawed I spotted a new place I hadn't heard about and decided to give it a go because it looked interesting. Food-10/10. I decided to try a simple drip coffee and the country fried chicken sandwich. Okay so pickles on a breakfast sandwich felt a little weird but I like to try things as the restaurant intended. I'm very glad I did as the pickles gave it a nice little pop. The egg was perfectly fried. Done well enough that it wasn't a runny yolk but not so done that the yolk gets chalky. The gravy was insane. Not going to lie, a lady was dipping her finger in the bowl and eating it....(okay so I'm the lady, it was me. Don't hate me, that stuff was irresistible). The drip coffee was perfectly brewed. Not too weak or strong and it didn't taste as if it sat around a while. Service-10/10. The staff was very helpful with explanations and to provide suggestions based on what is popular. I saw two employees from the counter area and both were cheerful and welcoming. The restaurant is counter service but I had taken a seat to wait and they brought it out to me and even came to take my trash away when they saw I was done. Atmosphere-9/10. The restaurant is cute and bright. It's very welcoming and aesthetically pleasing. My only two negatives are that the tables feel a bit cramped and it's far from my home. Obviously I can't knock them for me not being a local, but the table situation could use improvement. I imagine the table layout was based on them fitting the space but when you add even a normal size person, you would need additional space to get in and out of the seat especially when the seats have arms. As a plus size person if it gets busy you would be very limited for seating comfortably options. All-in-all I loved the place and when my errands return me to this side of town early, I'll be stopping in again. read more

Not a fan. Great choices on the menu and they actually look a lot like the picture! For me that is where the good stopped. The team is not helpful at all, in fact, the whole process is kind of confusing. I think breakfast/brunch is a really fun event and that wasn't the case here. The kiosk ordering system is easy enough but what happens after that can only be described as chaotic. It's hard to tell if your order is being placed on the rack or in the spot for pick ups. We were dining in. At some point, we got our food and it looked really good. I got the EggBred cheeseburger and my friend got the ribeye sandwich. Her steak was really dry and chewy. My burger was super greasy and had zero distinguishing flavors. It all kind of melded into one glop. Which is never the way to describe anything edible. I think the drink prices were so high they were stupid. A glass bottle of Coke (the narrow bottle) was $5. Our total was $32 for just the sandwiches. No add ons. No drinks. Neither of us ate our whole meal. Not because we were full, it was because they just weren't good. I would not go back. read more

When you enter it's a bit cramped so let me start by saying you can order at the kiosk or with a person, there is some room for improvement in the line management area. Our experience started with someone cutting the entire line to order with the staff as the front of the line didn't know that she was taking orders as she had not my said anything. The ordering situation aside we really enjoyed our food and the wait was minimal. I opted for the scramble me softly and my husband got the bacon egg and cheese. We also got the potatoes to share. I visited this place in November 2025 right after they opened and forgot to leave a review, so here I am. This California-based restaurant is their very first location in Florida and the East Coast, so I was excited to try! The food was absolutely fantastic! Every item is freshly prepared from scratch, featuring fluffy Japanese milk bread and gourmet coffee sourced from California. I loved that the buns and the soft scrambled egg were so good. This is a cute and cozy counter service place. Not much indoor seating available but there are quite a few tables outside for when the weather is much cooler. I order the biscuits and gravy with pork sausage and it was good but nothing really special to stand out. The drink options are the same. I had an iced coffee that is only served black- you add your own cream and sugar to doctor it up to your liking. I guess a little disappointing considering all the lovely options for specialty coffees out there now. Having said that if black coffee is your thing than you may love it. So the order process is interesting when we got there there was someone taking orders and then when they got busy they turned their computers around and made people order themselves. The food did come out quick. We tried the fried chicken and the BEC and a side of potatoes. The milk bread serve on was delish and the items were piping hot. Great flavor. Bacon is delicious and not too salty. HOW did the bread not get soggy despite being so fluffy, the world will never know. Its a 3-table joint, so if youre dining in, best to go early, especially on the weekends. Ambience-bright, cheerful, cozy. Everything is a la carte, no combo meals, no fountain drinks (they have complimentary water and sell bottled/canned juices and soda). Take a menu from the counter, order from the kiosk, and have a seat while the magic happens. Bacon, Egg and Cheese Breakfast Sandwich $9.79: The Japanese Milk Bun is reminiscent of brioche, in case youre wondering. Bacon is textbook crispy, silky smooth runny egg (I ordered over easy), melty cheddar cheese, and a nice pop from the jalapeño ketchup. Messy? Yes. But deliciously messy. Eggbred Cheeseburger $11.49: Juicy angus beef, over easy egg, caramelized onions, crisp dill pickles, cheddar cheese, house dressing, toasted Japanese Milk Bun. Deliciously messy is a thing here, but in hindsight, I wish I would have added bacon for some extra crunch and umami. Cheddar Chive Biscuits and Gravy $6.99: Sadly my least favorite, as I found this to be way too salty for my taste. Beer Battered Potatoes $3.89: GET THIS. Perfectly fried to a crisp, spiralized, and tossed with in-house seasoning. A must-have accompaniment to everything else on the menu. Aside from the Biscuits and Gravy, my only other grievance would be the ambitious pricing, which is why I included the prices in my descriptions. To start positive, the food tasted good once we actually got it. We went at 11 AM. Not the most busy time. Took 30 minutes to get 2 sandwiches. I couldn't help but notice not a single employee acknowledged any customers, there was never a thank you, there was never a smile, there was never any warmth to any of their service. The space is bright, clean, and modern, with a fun vibe inside and plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, which makes it a great spot whether you're grabbing a quick bite or hanging out for a bit. I was hopeful arriving, but left disappointed. I got the sandwich with the ribeye. The steak was VERY chewy, which turned my sandwich into a complete disaster. Also, I had paper in my sandwich( the paper that separates slices of cheese) and so I let the staff know. I was asked if I wanted a refund, but I declined. He then just walked away. The place is small and it was so humid inside, it was more pleasant to sit outside. Pretty much had no interaction with the workers, except to get the food. Ordered on their tablet. I didn't get a drink because they were all crazy mark up!! They had glass coke for $5! When they're $2-3 at certain gas stations. Their fruit juices were more and they had plain coffee that they put in a carafe for $3.. idk ‍ I could maybe pay for that coffee but their other cold brew coffee was over $5. Not to mention I wanted to add bacon to my sandwich, it was like an extra $3-4... my sandwich is already $8 which was the cheapest one on the menu. Idk.. some of these mark ups are just insane. My sandwich was delicious. Bun to egg ratio good. I'd give it an 8/10, oh and I think they forgot my onions here... Visited on opening day so the wait was long but worth it. I'm originally from California and have yet to find a good breakfast burrito in JAX but knowing it originated in CA made me drive right over. I ordered the Applewood Smoked Bacon burrito. The potatoes are beer battered and they add a delicious and robust flavor. The green salsa verde that accompanies it is the perfect salsa for the flavor profiles in burrito. The inside is simple and clean and there is nice seating outside. Stopped in for breakfast for my first visit ever to an EggBred location. This location was bright and clean inside and out. Our order was taken promptly and prepared in a timely manner. I tried The Ben Franklin sandwich which was delicious. My companions tried the Pork Chorizo Egg and Cheese sandwich and the Cheddar Chive Biscuit and Gravy. Both were very tasty! I had seen the coming soon sign go up for the breakfast sandwich shop and was curious to try it when it opened. I thought that maybe it was going to be like a lot of breakfast sandwich shops, with fake eggs and dull bread. When I walked in, I smiled at the egg pun signs and the bright yellow throughout the restaurant. I waited for the guy in front of me to complete his order before stepping up to order. I noticed a few people coming in and picking up orders that they placed on the app. The woman running the register was sweet and soft spoken. I told her I wanted a bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich with a drip coffee to go. For both it was around $13. I stepped off to the side and watched them prepare my sandwich. I was surprised to see them crack a fresh egg and fry it on the grill. Next they put on fresh bacon, jalapeno jam, and cheese inside a Japanese milk bun. Everything was prepared within five minutes. I waited until I got to my next destination to eat my meal. The jalapeno jam was spicy but light on the bun, and the egg oozed out yellow yolk but added flavor to the sandwich. I was surprised by the taste of the flavors and the freshness of the sandwich. My husband was jealous that I tried it without him, so we will have to go back as a family soon. Absolutely delicious and with ingredients that you know are not brought in on a delivery truck or are just leftovers from the day before - you can tell that the proteins are made to order. And I'm sorry, if I have to place my order on a kiosk and the staff literally does nothing but slide a tray across the counter, then you should be ashamed asking me for a tip. Ok so now the food and bev. My "iced" coffee with 3 ice cubes and filled to the brim with hot coffee so much that I can't even add any cream and sugar was awful. And the sandwiches stacked on their ends in little containers filled with raw egg yolk at the bottom were disgusting. None of us finished ours. Maybe the $70 was to cover the 95 napkins we needed to clean up the egg yolk mess. The dining area is tiny, uncomfortable and hot. Seriously I could have taken my family to a local Green and white diner chain, gotten better food WITH ACTUAL service and sat at a comfortable table for less than $70 WITH AN EARNED tip. Finally got to try this place out & everything we got was delicious!! My boyfriend got the chorizo burrito which had all the flavors in it, he also got the scrambled egg sandwich & I got the bacon egg & cheese sandwich, added a side of the cilantro crema & jalapeño ketchup which completed my meal. I really liked this little joint, it's small, very clean, colorful walls, and bright yellow chairs to sit in, you can order at the counter or at their kiosk. The staff is friendly and the outside garden area has great ambience. Their food was great. They're ciabatta bread was not overly thick. It was very soft and perfect for the sandwich. I'll go back.
