So yummy and just what I needed for a breakfast! I wanted to try out this spot because I've heard others say how much they enjoy it. I knew I wanted some egg one morning. I went with the Bacon Cheese Egg Tuck breakfast sandwich and it was super delicious! I've got to say, I think it's really clean and so nicely bright inside. It's a good way to start a day for sure. If you are in a rush, maybe have an order ready for pick-up because my order wasn't ready for a good 20 minutes and I was trying to rendezvous with someone and ended up being late because I didn't expect the wait to be too long.

Music was a little too loud for 9am like I'm trying to enjoy breakfast not be at a rave, sandwich was great for sure 8/10 I'll get it again, the only thing that bother me is that they said they had pure orange juice but really it tasted the same as a Mc Donald's orange juice. Fries are good too, definitely recommend. Not much to say about service as I didn't have a lot of interactions with the employees they seem nice though.

Who does not like eggs? I am always looking for new breakfast places that highlight this protein, clearly one of my favorites. Therefore, Egg Tuck in Northridge, was my next destination. What was even more attractive here, is that the menu though small, is so different. Their hallmark item is soft scrambled eggs, cooked Korean style, inspired by the street egg toasts in Seoul. At the onset it is worthy to mention that surprisingly, good any type scrambled eggs (soft, fluffy, not overcooked) are elusive, even at well known breakfast eateries in the SFV. Because this is the only way I cook scrambled eggs at my pad, I was curious to discover, if Egg Tuck could live up to its advertisement. To order, will it be a regular sandwich, a royal sandwich (includes a beef patty) or a burrito. I chose the regular bacon and cheese sandwich. The generous portion of scrambled eggs (two to two and a half eggs) are stuffed (tucked) into a thick buttered, toasted, almost square, middle sliced brioche bread pocket. The eggs lived up. They were soft, airy, creamy, with their egg sauce (house mayo, they say) and chives. So much so, that when you begin to eat, there is significant spill of the egg mixture. This is not stated to criticize the product. Instead, to praise it for its perfect method of preparation, its abundance, high flavor, uniqueness and authenticity, in the breakfast landscape. Parking is on the main street & sometimes difficult to find so you have to walk a little. Plenty of room to dine in & their restrooms are clean. As far as their food, I love the bread they use & their service is quick. Ordering is easy through the kiosks with different options for everyone. I get their concept is the fluffy eggs but for me personally their eggs are a little too soft/ watery for me. My sister loves this place tho.

Clean tables and everywhere. Need to order via kiosk , but the lady was kind when asked a question. Avocado egg Spicy royal burrito . Pretty good kick! Strawberry matcha Everything we ordered was excellent. We will return.

My new favorite take out breakfast! The eggs are so fluffy. And the sandwich bread is very soft. Can get a little bit messy, but worth every bite. The burritos were quite satisfying. We tend to gravitate towards the burrito if we're super hungry. You really can't go wrong. If you're in the mood for a decadent side, make sure to get the tater tots covered with fluffy egg, spicy mayo and chives. Online ordering is super easy and convenient. The orders travel well, so the meal is still warm after driving 15 minutes. Easy go to meal!

I ordered an avo egg and tater tots. Everything was flavorful and well-seasoned. The tots were crispy and fresh. The egg on the sandwich was good- and while I'm not usually a fan of that custardy egg texture (the mouthfeel is like slightly undercooked egg) - I have to say, it was a very tasty breakfast sandwich. I think this place is good overall, and a nice addition to the area. Service was great and there is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating available.

Tried this place for the first time after always passing by and I have one word. WOW!!!!! Literally all that was coming out of my mouth when I got the ham and egg sandwich!! Everything down to the ambience of the restaurant was just absolutely delightful. If you enjoy eggs and coffee! You need to try this place out! Their eggs are so nice and fluffy and their siracha aioli sauce.... Mouth watering!!

I was excited to try this new place in Northridge, so I ordered delivery. I made sure to get sauce on the side cause I dislike soggy bread and tots. The sandwich arrived hot and not soggy. They also take care to make sure your food doesn't steam itself for take out. I wasn't a huge fan of the special sauce so I'm glad I got it on the side. Bread was fluffy and toasted and the eggs were the real deal!

Went here for the first time. Prices are kind of high just for a sandwich. I got the avo egg tuck and added ham, I heard the bacon was delicious. Mine was good! And was filling & satisfying to finish in one sitting. Just a lot of sauce for me, the bread was yummy too. My friends didn't like the Korean patty too much, it was too sweet. The loaded fries were super delicious. We also had the churro latte and it wasn't that great, didn't like the drinks too much.

Delicious, delicious, delicious!! I've loved them since we first tried them in K-Town years ago and so happy they finally have a home in the SF Valley!! Parking is conveniently around the corner in the apartment parking structure. They have designated signs and if you're lucky, there is also street parking. This is such a beautiful location! So much open space, inside and outdoor dining. They prepare your food real quick too! We got there and it was BUSY. Sooooo many people, we thought we'd be waiting forever but we didn't! Maybe 10 minutes tops? They have ordering kiosks which are easy to use and very responsive. The workers are also there to help place an order or if you have any questions. We tried their burrito for the first time as well as their egg tots. Absolutely delicious, fluffy, and packed with flavor. I recommend ordering an extra side of sauce if you're a saucy gal like me! Even with the eggs and sauce on the tots, it never got soggy and the tots stayed consistently crispy. Grats to this grand opening and looking forward to coming back! IG: @ammysalamii

I was in the area and was happy to try this new spot. I went with bacon and cheesel sandwich and added a side of potato tots with medium over-easy egg on top. The portions were huge and they definitely filled me up. The egg sandwich was looking beautiful, tasted pretty good, but a certain flavor note or 2 were missing and I wish that the eggs in the sandwich were of a hotter temperature when served. The tots were pretty good and it was definitely a portion that could be shared by 2 adults. The place itself looks modern, with industrial style finishes and with a cool Venetian plaster wall. There are around 8 tables for dining inside and a few front patio tables. The service was on point. Would try this spot again!

I have had many of these kinds of sandwiches and this place is the best. I was visiting from Nor Cal and our version of this sucks. The bread is only cut half way and you're left with bread after eating half the sandwich. Egg Tuck stuffs this all the way through. The egg is fluffy and the bacon is crispy. The bread is a on the oily side, but that's what makes these soo decadent. The fluffy egg tots were also really good. Creamy, hot, and crispy. I normally don't like matcha, but my wife does, and their matcha strawberry was surprisingly pretty good.

The earl grey flavor was strong, so it was definitely on the sweeter side. The chicken was definitely different from the Taiwanese-style popcorn chicken I was expecting. The texture was more like mini chicken tenders or nuggets than the usual crispy, popcorn chicken. The chicken itself was juicy and had less breading. The setup here is super student-friendly. They have free water available, plenty of tables, a bathroom, and even an upstairs area we didn't get to check out yet. This review is long overdue…read more I've been a House Roots regular since they opened their SFV shop many years ago and frequent the bakery as well. This location is the newest (only about a year or so?) of the three. Each store has a similar and yet distinct style/focus. This shop is located on the ground level of an apartment/leasing space, so if you're not looking for it, it can be missed/mistaken. Parking at first glance also seems difficult but don't worry, there's plenty in the parking garage behind the shop/ below the apartment building. The shop itself is beautiful! Compared to the other two locations, this location is most spacious; There's outdoor seating as well and indoor seating. It's pretty family friendly and equally accommodating to students/working professionals who need a place to do some work. There's a grab and go section, for those who need a quick bite as well as some food items- pastries and burritos. Overall, the environment is pretty relaxed and chill. As far as drinks go, I've tried several- everything from the drip, pour overs, espresso shots, americanos, sweet lattes, and pictured, both matcha and einspanner dreams from the last time I came with my husband and parents. Pricing is fair but most importantly, all their drinks are good! The espresso is good consistently which in turn makes all their coffee drinks delicious. All the speciality drinks are not overly sweet and well balanced, unless requested. Specifically from the last visit, the vanilla cream on top of the einspanner/matcha dreams were to die for. My husband, who isn't a coffee drinker also mentioned how good the matcha was, even with almond milk (he's lactose). If you want to venture out/explore something out of the usual drip or americano, I recommend the einspanner or matcha dream drinks! Besides the good coffee, all the Houseroots locations are set apart by their hospitality, and this shop is unparalleled. Every time I've come to grab a cup on my way to visit my parents or for an afternoon pick me up, all the baristas have been welcoming and warm.
