CHICAGOOOOOO! This place was such a great treat! The wait time was so quick and the food was great and warm! The restaurant was nice and clean and such a chill vibe. I will definitely be back, we tried their fluffy egg sandwich with ham and bacon. And one fluffy with just bacon and they were both great! Everyone talks about the fluffy eggs and they are not kidding!!! Soooo yummy! I cant wait to come back. I highly recommend and the way to order is pretty good it's self checkout so you really get to read the menu and prices. Come by and check it out if you're looking for a good breakfast sandwich! read more

Egg Tuck - Breakfast & Brunch Near Me - Chicago, Illinois

I'm quite happy to now be working down the street from here, as breakfast sandwiches are my Achilles heel. I've ordered twice from Egg Tuck and loved it both times so far. The bacon/cheese sandwich is my favorite and their New Orleans latte isn't bad either. I am aiming to try their egg tots and/or fries next time I eat here. I will say that the eggs are a bit runny for my liking. I've only ordered online so I'm not sure if you can request that they be cooked a bit more in person, but I may try that next time. Most scrambled egg toasts I've had cook their eggs just slightly more than Egg Tuck does for more solid bites. I do prefer Oh K-Dog's egg toast at H-Mart in terms of flavor and consistency, but because that's way out of the way, Egg Tuck is still a worthy substitute. My only other complaint is that the tall stools are quite small and uncomfortable to sit on. No complaints on service. The workers are friendly and hard-working. Again, I've only ordered online so I would not be familiar with how the staff is with an in-person order. Other than that, I will definitely be returning for work lunches. read more

Conveniently located on Michigan Avenue is this self-service kiosk order little hidden gem named Egg Tuck! There isn't much for customer service other than someone handing you your food order. The kiosk was easy to use. I ordered the avocado egg sandwich and tater tots no sauce. Both were delicious and seasoned to perfection. I only knocked off a star because by the time I was handed my order to the time I sat down in the back to eat my food was room temperature. Not hot at all...how? Nevertheless, it was still delicious and filling. The portion was huge. As far as ambiance the place was rather sterile looking. read more

Delicious definitely hit the spot. I went early morning on a Sunday at 7:30. There was no wait. The food came out hot and fresh. The brioche bun is buttery with a good crunchy texture to counterbalance the fluffiness of the eggs, cheese and berry tasty bacon! Will definitely have this again!! read more

Went for brunch today and must say heard good things about this place and today I was able to experience them. I Had the royal west sandwich and my wife had the bacon sandwich with fluffy tots and totally satisfied with everything. Definitely recommend this place. read more

Solid breakfast bite. Super fluffy and moist eggs and packed with flavor. The team greeted us, told us it was going to take about 15 because it was a rush, and thanked us when we left. Clean and worth grabbing for a tasty breakfast. read more

There was a line outside the door when we got there. We waited about 15-20 minutes to get to the kiosk and order, then another 40 minutes to get our food. Even though it was crowded we had no issue getting a table. We ordered the bacon sandwich. I like a good breakfast sandwich so this was tasty. It's definitely messy. The ingredients are a good quality. The aioli sauce was a good addition. Next time I'd add extra bacon and possibly light special sauce just to reduce the wetness. Overall I do recommend this place. We also ordered the tater tots. They were typical. read more

Wow, this sandwich is why they say breakfast is the most important meal of the day! It was absolutely delicious and flavorful from the sauce, eggs, fresh and abundance avocado slices, and fluffy brioche bread. I truly wish I had ordered a second. There are not only a variety of egg sandos to choose from but also breakfast burritos and sides like their famous egg tots. They also a beverage menu from which I had the cold brew to kickstart the day. I highly recommend coming here as the food, staff, and service is great. The inside is super cute and clean with plenty of seating and great music. Definitely try to check it out during an off time as I heard it can get very busy. read more

Visited twice during my stay in Chicago and had both a sandwich and burrito. The eggs were fluffy, creamy and savory. I almost wished I could try every thing on the menu. I'm going to start with the good. Our sandwiches were a 5 out of 5 for sure! I ordered the bacon egg sandwich to go and when I had time to open it, that's when I noticed I was given a ham egg sandwich instead. Not a fan of ham but the sauce that they put on this sandwich was heaven. Now the bad...a few minutes after we ordered at the kiosk, they announced that the wait for food would be 25-30 min. Well we waited 30 minutes and I decided to call and ask about the status of our order & the first girl I spoke to said it would be another 30 minute wait. I was so confused and told her we had to cancel our order if the wait was going to be that long. So she put someone else on the phone who cancelled our order with no questions asked. So at that time I decided to ask her "how much longer would we have had to wait because the first girl told us another 30 minutes and I don't think that can be right some the announcement after us said there would be a 25-30 min wait". So that lady actually took the time to get my order number and told me it would have only been another 5 minute wait. She had already cancelled the order but I told her we could wait another 5 and she allowed me to repay for the order. Just a whole mess but I get it, they're super busy and I wasn't upset about it, I just wish the first girl would have taken the steps to actually check my order because all of that could have been avoided. It would also have been nice for the drinks to come out with the order but unfortunately the drinks were made way ahead of time than the food is so by the time the food comes out, you're going to need another drink. read more

Came here after a 5K with carbs on my mind. The sandwiches are FIRE. I don't know who was in the back making those fluffy eggs, but MY GOD! The lightest fluffiest eggs I've ever had. I saw this place highlighted on IG and walked over for breakfast because it looked so good. I ordered the Royal Burrito - galbi/beef short rib patty, over medium eggs, cheddar cheese, tater tots, and grilled onions. It's a hefty burrito and pretty big meal for breakfast. Absolutely delicious!! I especially liked the galbi/beef short rib patty, which was super flavorful. FYI it is not breakfast sausage. Super easy to order online and pickup option. read more

This 1 star review is solely for the service and operations, the sandwiches themselves are delicious. It is shocking how long it takes them to make orders. They actively yell out "45-60 minute wait!" To turn customers away as they walk in. I called in a large group order last weekend. On the phone they warned me - 45 minute wait, which I said was fine, but I could hear an undertone in the girl's voice of really asking me not to order. I arrived about 50 minutes after I called. The place was absolute chaos. Tens of people angrily standing around waiting. They would churn out 1 order every 5+ minutes. When I came in they first said my order was being packed up. 10 minutes later, nothing. I asked again and the girl goes behind the curtain and returns with a 5-7 minute estimate. Huh?? Another 10 minutes goes by and I ask again. Another 5-7 minute estimate. We needed to catch a boat so I said please just give me what's ready we need to leave. She went in the back and came out and said okay sorry we are going to prepare your order now. I'm sorry, what???? Prepare it now? I thought it was being packed 20 minutes ago? Ultimately they rushed and gave us half of our order and it was entirely wrong (sauce on sandwiches when we requested without, etc). This is a message to the owner. What are your staff DOING back there??? I am genuinely curious because the inefficiency is shocking. Are you raising individual egg laying hens for each individual sandwich ordered? Again I wish it wasn't this way, the sandwiches are good. read more

I've been hearing about this place and wanted to stop by. Walking up on a cold Saturday morning there were people entering and leaving with a line to order food at kiosks with one cashier. Wait time was 39-40 mins for a food item to eat in or to go. Stay or leave?? Stayed!!!! Ordered the Egg Tots which are golden crispy tots with a fried egg topped with house sriracha, aioli sauce and chives. The meal filled me up and was very flavorful and tasty! Worth the wait and the price was decent. I will be back but will preorder to pick up or come during week. Cons: It was crowded and people were just standing around waiting to order, waiting for orders or waiting to be seated. There wasn't a clear designated area for any group and you had to ask other patrons if they ordered or was in line. The lone cashier looked overwhelmed and didn't offer much assistance when I was there. When asked if coffee or juice could be ordered while waiting she was hesitant and eventually got out the orders, but it was a process. More front end help is needed such as a greeter or additional cashier to assist with orders, lines and questions. read more

Amazing eggs. I don't know what they put in the eggs here, but they taste amazing, absolutely sublime! It's difficult to get eggs right, but egg tuck nails it. The eggs are fluffy, soft, and truly seasoned to perfection. The scrambled are probably the best eggs that I've ever had. A few things that I'd ding them on are: 1. Price. Sandwich, tater tots, and a New Orleans cold brew = ~$30. That's pretty darn steep 2. Dining area seating is not great 3. They don't put enough eggs in their sandwiches, so the bottom of the sandwiches is generally empty which is annoying read more

My fiancé and I both ordered the Original Royal West Burger-wich. I added avocado to mine. I asked for salt and pepper to which the lady giggled and informed they do not have salt or pepper...which kind of was obvious as the patty was lacking seasoning. When I entered the restaurant, I loved the cheerful decorations and upbeat music. There were plenty of spots to sit, and my sandwich didn't take too long either (it was 8:00 so they were relatively busy) . I ordered it without the sauces and they made sure not to include them. The sandwich tasted AMAZING. The scrambled eggs were sooooooooo fluffy and the bacon was crispy as a nice contrast to the soft brioche bread. I never got the name "egg tuck" until I had the sandwich, but apparently the bread is cut so that it's like a little cup (the egg is literally TUCKED into the bread). Definitely would go again! read more
