I ordered ahead through their app. It was seamless - easy to navigate and check out. Food was ready on time. Pick up is in the back of the restaurant - turn left and go straight once coming in front door. Items were packed well for transport. The matcha kiwi power bowl and the Door County chicken salad were very good - enough for 2 servings each. The iced vanilla latte and dirty chai latte was very good - good enough to rival many coffee places in the area. Staff/employees were nice and helpful. I was rolling around in my chair, the food was that freaking good! I knew the reviews were not lying but they really don't do this place justice! Th hash skillets satisfy every brunch craving atom you could have. You know those dreams of how food used to taste like as a kid (and how it was better & itched a certain part of your soul?) well this was THE meal that made me believe in magic. Not sure if it's because it's cooked in beef tallow, or if they just know what to put together but every single item pictured was better than imagined. This Saturday was our first visit to Egg Harbor at the Streeterville location, and we had a great experience. We arrived for a 9:30 call-ahead reservation, which worked perfectly. The menu reminds me a lot of First Watch spots around the Midwest--lots of fresh, creative options alongside the breakfast classics. Plenty of "yummy choices" that make it hard to decide. I ordered the Avo-Rizo Burrito, a hearty wrap stuffed with scrambled eggs, chorizo, avocado, and cheese, served with salsa and potatoes. Every bite had that perfect balance of flavor--rich but not heavy. For something sweet, my wife couldn't resist the Strawberry Crunch French Toast, thick slices topped with fresh strawberries, a crunchy granola-like topping, and just enough whipped cream. Both dishes were excellent and way bigger than our appetites. Our caramel macchiato arrived at the table in seconds, while the regular coffees took a little longer. But once everything was served, the food more than made up for the wait--beautifully plated, hearty portions, and absolutely delicious. What I really appreciate about a place like Egg Harbor is the combination of value, excellent food, and competent, friendly service. Tried Egg Harbor for a late Sunday breakfast and had a fantastic experience. It can be tough to find a healthy, high-protein breakfast at a typical cafe or diner, but Egg Harbor totally delivered. I went with their "Create Your Own Scrambler" and chose egg whites, mozzarella, chicken sausage, and onions. It came with their perfectly seasoned potatoes and an English muffin and was exactly the kind of high-protein, lower-calorie meal I was looking for. Woke up late and this was one of the places that didn't have a long wait time by the time I rolled out of bed LOL. Place is inside a building that was on my way to my next tourist spot. I probably had 30 minutes left prior to them closing and they didn't seem to rush the service. Which to me was good and it seemed normal service so I knew my food would not pay the price. I ordered the traditional breakfast with sausage patties, scrambled eggs and house potatoes. The food was good. Had I probably ordered something else I might have had a wow fish, but bc I'm lactose intolerant I played it safe and the food was good. I ordered a classic latte and that was good. I wish I went back for more. I got the caprese avocado toast and it was so good and filling, I didn't finish it. It comes with a eggs and a side of fruit as well. I went with a small group around 10am on a Sunday morning and was happy to be seated right away with no wait. I really recommend getting the Eggceptional Skillet Combo. I ordered it with mushrooms, avocado, and pepper jack cheese. It comes with banana bread which is so delicious. I wanted a seasonal drink and went with the Iced Pumpkin Apple Macchiato. To be honest, the apple kind of overpowered the pumpkin in this drink and it didn't fully taste like either, almost had a mixed muted flavor of both. It was still a good drink, just not what I expected. As a northwest suburban kid, I was surprised when I saw Egg Harbor was opening a River North location. This place is a suburban staple that regularly has hour plus waits on weekends. On a Saturday around noon, the wait was only 15 mins for two, which was a welcome surprise! Banana French toast was solid and their syrup is one you'll remember for a bit. My sister had an omelette that was tasty as well. Portions aren't as big as a place like Cozy Corner or Pancake House, but they were nothing to scoff at either. Prices are definitely high, but that comes with the area I guess. To be honest, I feel like it'll be tough for this place to stay open for a while because of its weird location outside of busier part of downtown. BUT I hope it does, because it deserves to be! Just popped in for a quick brunch, it was nice to be seated right away. Ordered a spiked lemonade bc it came with strawberry boba, but didn't have it when it came to the table. When asked, it was clear the staff didn't know the menu and went and checked if they were out or it was left out. Turned out they were out of it, which was disappointing because that was the only reason I ordered it. Double disappointing that our waiter said nothing, and that I had to point it out. Nothing was offered as resolution either. Food was bland and unappetizing as well. I got the San Antonio skillet and my partner got the blueberry pancake meal. It honestly sucks to say the skillet was just a bit yucky, the cheese congealed quickly. The pancakes were somehow grainy? It was just a disappointing brunch.
