I love me a good acai bowl, and Bliss Bowls definitely has one. Several, actually. The staff was welcoming and more than willing to answer questions about the menu. After much deliberation (SO many choices!) I settled on the Sunset Bowl: soft serve acai topped with pineapple, mango, raspberries, granola, and honey. The concept of soft serve acai is novel and genius - the texture allows for the creation of the perfect bite with just the right amount of fruit, acai, and granola crunch. The inside is adorable, clearly designed to be showcased on customers' social media posts. My only constructive feedback is the pricing - a regular bowl is $12, which certainly isn't the priciest acai bowl in the land, but I would love to pay less and visit more often, rather than saving my pennies and patronage for special occasions. read more

BOWL : Truthfully, my husband and i are a bit snobs when it comes to acai, so we may just have more of a specific preference than the average goer -- As far as the toppings like the granola, cacao nibs, fresh fruit offered, they were great. I really enjoyed the gluten free granola option and felt like there was a lot of variety when it came to bowl toppings. However, the acai base itself we didn't love ... it tasted very much like a sorbet and a lot more processed than the standard blended acai you're used to. It felt really sugary and not as "real." It is a soft serve experience instead of a blended type. The peanut butter is also just a massive scoop on the side instead of drizzle -- again, preference! We just like the taste of a more pure, real acai with even layering so you get a bit of everything in each bite. SERVICE : This felt very much like a homegrown spot, and my heart went out to the owner as i can tell she is working really hard starting this place. She's incredibly kind and personable and was honestly probably the nicest person we came across in chicago, which makes me want to give this place more stars! I will say, it was a really busy spot and i can tell is a big fan favorite. Overall the bowl was still delicious we just have a bit of a different preference when it comes to acai and this just wasn't our type - doesn't mean it wasn't still good for its own niche! read more

Popped in on a hot day in July while visiting Chicago last week. The lady behind the counter was holding it ALL down - making bowls and also handling a luggage storage service! My friend got the Nutella bowl and I got the peanut butter. Both were delicious. And huge! Basically an acai sorbet sundae. Took less than 3 minutes to get our bowls and we perched up at the cute little bar on pink stools to eat and watch the world go by. It's a nice little place and the bowls are great. read more

Solid 4 stars. I love how this place is sibling owned. I really enjoyed my açaí bowl. I am on a detox diet and needed something on the healthy side to hold me over until I could get home. I saw that Bliss Bowls Açaí has smoothies so walked on over. The decor is cute. Served with a smile. The machine was out of order so couldn't get a smoothie so I bought the Bliss bowl instead. It was very tasty. Where you order and where the menu is positioned is not aligned. So unless you know the items you have to go back and forth between the register and menu, which is kind of awkward. *Unprompted suggestion* move the bucket of granola where the register is or move the menu. read more

please expand to lakeview :) chicago needs more acai. knocking off one star for feedback, not criticism. it's really bizarre not to have the option to customize a bowl. i was told it was bc "the system won't let me". hire an intern to update your system. with all the great ingredients you offer a "make your own bowl" should be an option. it's a pretty standard offering. also, find new serving containers that offer better "to go" lids. another small investment of time and probably not really any money. this spot is so great, invest to make it even greater! read more

If eating açaí bowls were an Olympic sport, I think I'd qualify to compete. So when I saw that I would be near Bliss Bowls, I wanted to check them out! The space is very cute. I wanted to take more pictures but there were other customers and I didn't want to seem creepy. They're definitely going for a tropical and relaxing vibe. I ordered the Very Berry Bowl. It was really good! The fruit was fresh and the açaí was perfectly sweet and tart. The bowls are made to order so the wait may be long. There was only one person working while I was there and I got my order in right before online orders and other customers trickled in. Ordered a Nutella bowl and added peanut butter and it was really delicious. The açaí bowl was the perfect consistency, didn't melt quickly and had great flavor. The strawberries and bananas were fresh but I do wish I got more strawberries and that they were in thin slices rather than in chunks. Very generous helping of granola, peanut butter, and cacao nibs and I appreciate that their granola is gluten free by default. Cute interior, interesting presentation and layering, and friendly service. Minor tweaks aside, I still would consider this up there as one of the best açaí bowls I've had, especially since the ratios of all ingredients were nearly perfect. read more

We were craving acai so we originally went to deep purpl. We were so disappointed by the overly sweet, icy texture that we basically just threw it out in search for something better. We're so glad we stumbled on this one! The acai is nice and creamy, not too sweet, and the fixings were on point! Really enjoyed all the flavors and the large was huge! I wish it was cheaper but I understand. Plus they're family owned! The service was great but that's cause I was the only customer. Who knows if it would be worse in the summer! read more

I have been bliss to bliss bowls more times than I can count. It has been consistently good and has the best açaí in Chicago. All the workers are amazing and especially the owner they are all so sweet. They are also very fast as well. The attention to detail is amazing!!
