My favorite poke place in the city - the veggies are very fresh and the sauces are so flavorful. I love that they go heavy on the toppings so the topping to rice ratio is superb. Came to Chicago for work and was searching boba teas on yelp. I'm downtown by the river and it was a 16 min walk. I love walking here in Chicago so the walk was nice. Got there and the staff didn't say anything but was to the side making orders. I feel like they were just letting you be. There is a self check out. They did answer some questions and made the drink pretty fast. The place is really cute inside as well. This cloud drink was really good. Can't explain it, but I've never had a drink like it. I was in the River North area recently and was looking for something relatively quick to eat and something more on the lighter/fresher side when I passed Poke San on N. Wells. I popped in and immediately loved the fun bright kitschy decor especially the neon signs and painted cans to look like boba. Once I a passed through and made my way to the ordering counter I was met with a pleasant array of fraud fish and toppings and greeted by the lovely staff who took my order. I did a build your own bowl with three proteins - baked salmon, tuna, and shrimp and sushi rice for my base! I then picked a ton of toppings! My bowl was packed full of fresh goodness. I noticed toppings I also hadn't seen at other poke spots like sweet potato and kimchi among others. There are also so many delicious sauces to choose from. Additionally I appreciated the designated gluten free ingredients as it made building my bowl much easier. The bowl was huge, fresh, delicious, and filling and all for $14.95. I also tried one of their cloud milk teas, the sunrise which I believe was strawberry and mango. I loved my experience and my only disappointment is that I don't live closer. I'm not near downtown or river north often but I know where I'll grab a bite to eat next time I find myself in the area. read more
