    H1. Jimmy's Creation Bowl
    Jessa Jamille A.

Ordered here thru UberEats and it's soooo good like last time! Such a great price for two bowls! They also put my order in a really cute reusable tote bag I recommended Jimmy's creation - you get tuna and salmon and a bunch of toppings

    Very good poke bowl!

Ingredients are fresh and I love the variety of veggies, protein, toppings, and sauces that we can choose. I usually get the medium sized bowl which is just right for me-- not too little, not too much. The presentation of the poke bowls are very pretty and appetizing as well. The poke bowl here is more expensive than Aloha Poke in the Loop by a couple dollars, but this is close to home and if I am craving, this is where I'll go. One thing I don't like is the wasteful thick cardboard order sheet we fill out when selecting our poke bowl ingredients. They should consider thinner paper or have electronic tablets and let people self order and punch in what they want to order to be more environmentally friendly.

Walking in to a place with 5 stars and 63 reviews. Couldn't believe a 5 star restaurant with 60+ reviews. And sure enough, I, too, give it 5 stars based on food quality, quantity, and price. I've been to poke places in Chicago which is so disappointing compared to places in Los Angeles. However, this place is almost comparable! I love the option of being able to choose on paper as opposed to on a counter with people standing in front of you. I'm very indecisive so this was very helpful when deciding what I wanted and I could take all the time thinking about what I wanted. I got a large and the portions were large, not like other Chicago poke places that claims to be size "large" but it's really not. 1st and foremost- I love the size of the raw fish. The fish were not small squares. It was a good size, that when taking a bite, I know I am eating sashimi. 2nd- (as mentioned, I love the ordering on paper) 3rd- I love the options on the menu. Choose size of bowl or burrito, ingredients, sauce, toppings, and the type of protein. I got quite a large bowl. I saved the pineapples & mandarin oranges as kind of my dessert. They were canned items. 4th- I love the simplicity & simple restaurant decor. There isn't much which states that they're all about poke. There's a water station w cucumber infused water & bottled drinks if you'd like. I would totally go back!

I'm pretty late to the sushi burrito/poke game but I've been officially converted by Poke Burrito and now I can't stop raving about it. This place is worth everyone's time and tastebuds, whether you get delivery or dine-in. Inside is decorated in a minimalistic fashion, very clean and simple. The service isn't as fast as other fast-food burrito places. You basically fill out your order on a piece of paper and wait for a good 5 minutes, even when it's not crowded. However, the best part is customizability of your order. There are so many things you can pick and choose from. They have tofu options too, so it's truly great for vegetarians, vegans and meat lovers. I also love the fact that all the options feel healthy and fresh, so you actually feel good about ordering out.

The hype at this five star joint is real, my friends. I've been to a few other poke places and never real had an urge to go back to any. Poke Burrito is a game changer though. Super fresh, flavorful and full! They have an order sheet that you fill out whether you're dining in or taking it to go. It lists the bases, veggies, sauces, proteins, etc and gives you how many items they recommend checking off. Avocado is included in a general portion. My one suggestion would be to have explanations of the sauces. I took a guess and ordered what I thought I would like, but if it was listed on the menu (i.e. volcano sauce is creamy and spicy, etc) that would be useful! While I was there, FIVE different couples came in to order to go and two different couples were dining in. Way more foot traffic and clientele then the old restaurant. I'm so happy for them. Wishing them lots of future success!

Went in on a Saturday afternoon between brewery stops. The place was dead, which I don't care about because I assume a lot of people grab a bowl to go, but I was kind of surprised that no one else came in while we were there. The guy who made my bowl seemed confused, about everything. I'm sure I threw him off a little when I said no rice and no mixed greens (currently can't eat either without potentially getting sick right after), but I tried to add in some other things so that it wasn't just protein. Got a medium/regular bowl with (naked) tuna, (naked) salmon and shrimp for my protein. I also added in avocado and mandarin oranges. I'm pretty sure the ratio of mandarin oranges to protein was the same, which made me laugh. Took it to the 2nd brewery and had some. It was fine. Didn't taste like there was much, if any sauce on it, and all of the little tiny mandarin oranges pretty much started to overwhelm the bowl a couple bites in. The shrimp was kind of meh, but at least the tuna and salmon seemed decent. When I'm in the area and need something, this might be a place I'd go again, but honestly, I'd probably just go up the street and get a taco instead. I love poke bowls. I was going through a phase of ordering them awhile back and had to stop myself because the cost of a bowl + delivery was adding up quickly, but this spot just felt, sad.

Do you ever study/work for hours on end only to be hit suddenly with a craving for Japanese-Hawaiian? Well, Poke Burrito has got you covered. This is the fusion that you never knew you needed. They offer fresh and delicious ingredients with the option to customize your creation to your heart's content. For the indecisive eaters, they also offer the premade options. I ordered a vegetarian poke bowl topped with fried rice. It was a delightful blend of ingredients that will leave you feeling satisfied and not overly stuffed. This is a great quick lunch spot that won't break the bank. Very vegetarian/vegan friendly with the regular poke options available too. I have yet to find the perfect combination of ingredients so I another visit is definitely in order. I wouldn't hesitate to come back. If you're around the area and not really down to eat that lunch you made yourself, get yourself to Poke Burrito asap!

I have wanted to try poke burrito. Today was the day and so glad it happened! I had no expectations but left with much praise! I had a spicey poke bowl and my husband had a DIY poke burrito. So much flavor and all fresh ingredients. Highly recommend!!

Large custom bowl ($12.95), filling portions!

4.5 stars for now. I'm a fiend for seafood and sushi, so it was inevitable that I'd stop by at Poke Burrito one hungry night, especially since it's within walking distance. Was tempted to order the Jimmy bowl based on photos, but I was in a customizing mood, ordered a custom large poke bowl ($12.95) and a sushi burrito ($12.95). Great variety of toppings. Went with the employee's recommendation on sauces. There's a seating area so we dined in instead of doing carryout. Of the two items, the poke bowl easily won. Tasted fresh and delicious. The large was loaded with toppings, and it made for 2 meals :) Looking forward to returning when my next poke craving hits hehe.

I also don't like how it gives the smoothie price but when you customize it only has the option to charge you one dollar and some change for the only cup size they offer. There aren't many seats available so it feels like a semi boba shop as well. To sum it up, I would say it is ~70 to 80% authentic, which is not bad in my opinion. Braised Pork Over Rice 招牌滷肉飯: The presentation was beautiful and the flavor was actually pretty good. In Taiwan, this dish is usually more on the sweeter side, due to the sugar and shallots added. Here, it is more peppery and savory, and the flavor was actually really good. The beans and the mustard greens were very delicious as well. Even though the flavor profile is slightly different, this was well made and something I would come back for. Noodles with black pepper sauce 胡椒鐵板麵: traditionally this dish is called蘑菇鐵板麵, which uses mushrooms, black pepper and other sauces as a base. The flavor was good, but I wish that there were more mushroom and sauce to balance the black pepper. In my opinion, this dish tasted very different from what I used to eat, but it is not bad on its own. 2/4 Fried pork chops: the meat was fried very well, and it was pretty peppery and crispy. However, I think there are different spices and flavor missing, including white pepper, msg, garlic, Thai basil, cayenne pepper, and more. I wished that the savoriness and spiciness popped up more, and I thought the spice blend and the marinade could definitely use some improvement. 3/4 Beef noodle soup 牛肉麵: I thought the bone broth was pretty good, but I believe the flavor profile should be wider, like tomatoes, five spice, 豆瓣醬, soy sauce, and more. It was a stripped down version, and I wished that is reflected in the name of the item (renaming it "clear soup" etc). Also, the amount of meat they gave us was a little bit pitiful (there were like four pieces), and there were two pieces of bok choy. When Taiwanese people eat beef noodle soup, we definitely expect more. 2/4 Additionally, I wish the drinks were made with some fresh ingredients (not just syrup or creamer), as standard/good quality boba shops from Taiwan try to make drinks as fresh as possible. That is high ask, but I just wanted to note that as a suggestion for improvement. Overall, I thought the food was pretty decent. Would I say it is the most representative Taiwanese restaurant in Chicago? No. The staff was actually Chinese loll. But I do think it reminds me of some flavors and food I grew up eating in Taiwan. If you like popcorn chicken and pork, it is likely a good place for you.

The green beans came as a side with my bento box and were amazing. The ordering system is a little clunky and annoying but we got through it. Vibes in the space are fine, it's an efficient little cafe The biggest thing is that there's really an opportunity for more sauces! For the fries, for the popcorn chicken, for example, a sauce would make a big difference to dip it in. I like this place and expect to be back
