Build Your Own Poké Bowl (REGULAR)

I come here a lot for the poke bowl which is fantastic. Staff is always friendly here and quick. The interior is very inviting and I love to sit on the second floor and eat in peace. Giving 4 stars only because the wonton soup I ordered had some whacky meat in it and was odd. Other than that, only have good things to say.

The unagi don is really good! The eel is fatty, tender, and warm with plenty of sweet unagi sauce. I like the pieces of tamago and radish that come with the dish. It also comes with a miso soup on the side. It took only 5-10 minutes to come out. Really nice spot to get a quick lunch downtown. There are a few tables at the bottom and more seating upstairs. It's a fast-casual spot that's consistent and reliable for poke bowls, rice bowls, and soup. There's street parking on the same street, but it's downtown prices ($7/hr). They have plenty of vegetarian options as well.

The service and ordering is straight forward and quick. They have an upstairs area in addition to main floor seating. They have lots of natural lighting so it's a nice ambiance. It is a reasonable price for the amount I got. I ordered a build your own bowl with extras such as avocado. Utensils and free water are self serve. Wifi is also available.

Came here with my parents for a quick lunch and didn't expect much, but we were pleasantly surprised! The food is fresh, tasty, reasonably priced, with fast excellent service. My mom and wife got two of their premade poke bowls (Tsukiji bowl and Kuromon bowl) and I built my own- they all had a good portion of fish that I thought was definitely worth especially compared to other places where you might get a little scoop for the same price, toppings were fresh and the sauces were savory and tasty but not overpowering. The biggest surprise though was the braised beef noodle soup my dad got- it was hearty, full of deep savory beef flavor, not too salty, with big chunks of perfectly braised tender fall apart beef. My mom is a big soup critic and even she enjoyed it. For a poke place, it's one thing to have things like beef noodle soup or ramen, but it's a whole nother level of impressive that they actually nail the soup. Consider the prices of everything else downtown, like paying $18 for a sandwich or $20 for pancakes, I'd say Poke Poke is more than worth a visit!

It's the best ramen in town! We were craving ramen that day and my husband was a bit skeptical about having ramen at the poke place but he concluded this is the best ramen in Chicago. The place is clean and has a nice atmosphere. However, I wish they cleaned the high chair from time to time. It is so dirty that I couldn't put my child in there. We tried the miso ramen, which has excellent tonkotsu, the broth was well-balanced and we loved the soft eggs in there. The Braised beef noodles were so good too. Generous portion of braised beef, and wonderful flavor in the broth. We were both so satisfied with the noodles. They do seem have a dedicated person cooking noodles only and we are so glad we give this place a try!

The poke here is really good! I got a build your own bowl with double salmon and spicy tuna, and the fish was fresh. I ordered mild for the spice level, and it was pretty spicy. I chose half rice and half mixed greens. For the sauces, I chose spicy mayo and roasted sesame, which tasted amazing together. I wanted extra sesame sauce, but I had to pay $1. I would come back here again!

A good place for a quick meal fix! Reasonable price. It was quite filling for me but the Ramen portion size was a bit small for my husband. So maybe I'd recommend to order a side + main. Service was quick. Ambiance was good, like a normal fast food joint.

Got the braised beef noodle soup for lunch. Someone told me the braised beef would be more flavorful than the beef brisket option. Glad I got the more flavorful beef option because it did not have that much flavor and was a bit chewy. I wish they put more bok choy pieces in these soups. The noodles and broth were tasty. I went back and had the 5 scoop build your own poke bowl for dinner. There were a couple pieces that did not taste so fresh. Limited selection of toppings compared to poke places in San Diego. Overall not bad. There are three levels of small seating areas. Friendly staff.

Absolutely love this place. Works well for grabbing food to go and also to dine in. There's an upstairs seating area despite the small storefront-like lower floor. Also can order ahead online. Fish has tasted fresh all three times I've gone. Each regular bowl comes with 3 proteins and 8 toppings, and they give a decent portion size compared to other poke restaurants. 10% discount for students. Service was fast and workers were all patient and nice.

Hands down absolutely delicious poké - good price for the amount you get as well. There's three floors in this small corner store to sit so plenty of seating if you want to dine in. Metal water cups and a water dispenser available for self service. The ladies at the front taking everyone's order are very nice and efficient, but a little soft spoken so I couldn't hear them. Overall amazing.

Not sure why the reviews are great. Portion size is fine, but quality isn't there. Fish had a weird taste and the rice is plain white rice - not sushi rice over seasoned with vinegar.

This place opened up last year in my neighborhood and I'm so happy it did! I've been back 5-6x since. The lady serving the Poke bar was so sweet. I decided to build my own bowl: multiple base selections (I was surprised), up to 3 proteins, and up to 8 toppings . Insane deal for $13.50. Always can't wait to come back!!!

I actually love coming to eat early because the servers are a little more attentive since they just started their shift and the service is a little faster as there are less tables. Let me tell you, though, whatever we came it was quite busy with graduations and family dinners-which I didn't mind at all! What ate a relatively large meal as I had eaten a smaller lunch. We started off with the wedge salad and a yellowtail sushi roll. The wedge salad was pretty average, but the dressing was really delicious. The yellowtail was also pretty good and the jalapeño topping gave an extra kick last minute. For the entrées, we ordered the scallops as well as the pan seared Chilean Seabass. The scallops are buttery, rich, and had a perfect crispy crust. The Seabass was flaky and light-overall a very good combination of flavors. We got a side of the broccolini and then the crème brûlée and a piece of Keylime pie to go. Overall a very filling and delicious meal-I was pleasantly surprised with the scallops and how light the sea bass was.

They also made us an anniversary card, gave us complimentary sparkling water, and surprised us with a slice of key lime pie. The hospitality was incredible and made us feel genuinely celebrated. The stone crab was super fresh and the mustard sauce was the perfect pairing. The crab bisque was rich and creamy. The filet was cooked perfectly with a great sear, while the stuffed lobster tail was warm, flavorful, and topped with a parmesan crust. The lobster roll was solid with a perfectly toasted brioche bun. The sweet corn was sweet, buttery, and smoky. For dessert, the blueberry pie was so comforting. We ordered our food with the everythang sauce (which is a mix of all their sauces) and it was really good and really flavorful. Messy is to be expected but surprisingly the food mess was manageable and did not take away from my dining experience. The amount of crab legs in my bag to me did not justify $32 and if it wasn't for the potatoes and two corns I'm sure I would of still been hungry. I was excited, but they proceeded to sit us in a shared booth setting right on a busy aisle where I was literally facing a wall. We asked about moving seats, and to their credit we were moved to the back room tables with a window view. As we were waiting for our meal, two women were sat next to us, who was then joined by one of the hostesses (?) who proceeded to stand there with the two slightly intoxicated ladies and have a full on vacation gossip session about where they've traveled and who they know. I looked over at the hostess, who saw me, but didn't take the hint and continued having a loud obnoxious conversation directly next to us. This was going on for what seemed like 10 minutes, so I looked over again, to which she finally took the hint, ended the conversation, then clearly tried to do damage control by checking in with us. I finally got my order, the filet mignon, which I ordered medium rare. The first few bites were relatively good, nothing really special to be honest, but as I got further into the steak noticed it was cooked extremely uneven as the bites got more raw as I went. The remaining bites were literally cold red raw meat in the center. We ordered dessert, which was the Buttered Cake (?), which admittedly was the best part of the experience there. Overall, it was an experience I could have had at Applebee's. I was not impressed with the service, the staff, or the food. For the prices you pay to eat there you expect a level of decorum and attention, none of which we received.
