    3 Scoop protein
    Ashley Z.

Mammoth poke is the best poke I've had in Chicago so far. I always get the 3 scoop protein build your own bowl. All the ingredients are so fresh and tasty. I always get the spicy tuna, ahi tuna and spicy salmon over rice. My favorite sauces are the wasabi mayo and the volcano sauce. I've gone in to the restaurant to order the bowl and I've also had it delivered. Both times they were excellent!

This place has so many options for your poke and we got the choose 5 protein. The rice could be better but this had so much flavors. We also got their gyoza which was good as well. Loved how there are options for vegetarian and those who do or not like the fish options. The service was fast and quick and definitely will be back to try their other things on the menu. We also got their Thai tea but it's very bland not much flavor and not as creamy.

I had ordered a spicy salmon poke bowl for lunch. I had asked the server to split the protein into half spicy shrimp and half spicy salmon. The service was quick, and the bowl was delicious. The seafood seemed very fresh. These bowls can make for quick, delicious and healthy meals.

I ordered a poke bowl for lunch from this shop on Lake Street in the Loop. The line was short when we arrived at 12:20. I went with a rice and noodle base topped with salmon, adding all the available toppings. The salmon and tuna were fresh, but the portion felt slightly smaller compared with other poke spots in the Loop. Seating was limited and the place was quite noisy during the lunch rush, so we decided to enjoy our bowls back at the office.

Came across this ramen place while in the area. Ordered a bowl of ramen. The broth was good and rich in flavor but nothing very special. I feel the size is on a smaller end for the price I paid. It was a good try but on to the next.

I've tried Mammoth Poke a few times and have enjoyed my meals! The 3 Scoop Protein bowl is a pretty decent size (it's equivalent to a "regular" size at other poke places) for about $17. I've tried their salmon, spicy salmon, ahi tuna, and tofu -- all were delicious and tasted fresh. They have a range of toppings you can choose. I was most surprised by kimchi since I haven't seen that at other poke restaurants (though I haven't been to too many in Chicago). I also tried their noodle base (the other options are sushi rice, brown rice, or mixed greens) which was okay but I will probably stick to rice in the future. Overall, pretty solid if you're downtown and looking for poke.

After a long flight and landing in chilly Chicago, this ramen spot in the Loop was our first stop, since it was nearby our hotel--and it was exactly what we needed! It took a bit of effort to find (especially as tourists unfamiliar with the area), but it was so worth it. I ordered spicy roasted garlic with pork chashu and tonkotsu broth. The ramen was rich, flavorful, and incredibly comforting on a cold day. Definitely a bowl that warms you from the inside out. They also offer poke bowls, which is a great option if you're in the mood for something lighter or cold. The restaurant is on the smaller side, but it's clean and well-kept, with a welcoming vibe. There were pretty slow at first but soon it was closer to lunch time, they were just so busy. If it's in my area, I'd probably go there every week. It was that good!!

Good quality ingredients, however the staff tends to go too heavy on the rice and fillers, and is too stingy on the fish and toppings. You have to ask for more of each topping because they will give you 1 teaspoon of a topping and think it's enough. Ambiance is nice but seating is limited.

This place was a last minute find for my friend and I, and I'm sure glad we did stop in! They have two ramens that have non-pork broth and are fully customizable protein-wise. The portions themselves were very filling and the broth was so flavorful, not just salty. I would love to come back and try the poke to see if it also is good

Food is good and fair prices. Music isn't kid friendly ( very inappropriate with the N word and more) so just a heads up to those with kids. But over all good:)

I would say the ramen is what I expected. It is relatively average and something I'm not mad about. The egg was a little overcooked for me and I wish there were more noodles. There is some seating there but any group bigger than 4 might have to struggle to find seating. The staff were friendly and worked quickly. I'd probably come back to try their poke and wouldn't go out of my way to get it.

Custom poke bowl - too much sauce :(

This storefront used to be the Pastoral Artisan Cheese shop - remember that?? They've totally changed the inside to be clean and bright with some indoor seating. I ordered up at the counter and took my bowl to go - I went with a custom 3 protein poke bowl with brown rice, which was ~$14 without tax or tip. I thought they had a good selection of protein options, as well as toppings, some (like beets) being a little more unusual. Service was pretty good although at the end I asked for the Hawaiian poke sauce and she seemed to think I needed a second sauce so I took her suggestion and later regretted it. I wish they would ask before putting on any sauce whether you prefer light, medium, or heavy. But now I know for next time!

    Spicy garlic ramen

This was a perfect stop between checking out the museums in this loop area. It was casual and easy to find a spot to hang for a bit, the employees were friendly and helpful, and I found a ramen that was yummy but not heavy. The garlic ramen was light but still had that nice fresh garlic flavor. It was only lightly spicy so I think most people would enjoy it, and has classically curly egg noodles. The toppings were decent enough, a plain egg right over medium lightly marinated and a thin grilled piece of pork chashu. My mind wasn't blown but like I said it was perfect for what I wanted that day for lunch.

The menu is expansive, but I knew that I wanted a poke bowl (versus a ramen or noodle dish). I went with the Tsukiji bowl on her recommendation. It truly had a little of everything (tuna, salmon, crab salad, edamame, radish, nori, spicy mayo, and more). The ingredients were fresh and the portion was generous for the price. Will definitely be back here when I am craving something out of my normal rotation. Note: this is a cashless establishment.

It's a great option if you're trying to get a balanced meal in, with plenty of protein and veggies depending on how you build it and what sauce you choose. I also appreciated how fast everything was: no line when I went on a Saturday around lunchtime, and I got my food quickly. Highly recommend adding the fried onions. They add a really nice crunch that takes the bowl up a notch. As for the fish, the quality is decent for a poke spot. It's not mind-blowing, but definitely good enough to satisfy a craving. Overall, a convenient, healthy-ish lunch spot that I'd come back to.

The staff member who helped us was incredibly kind and patient, especially with my sister, and I love the build-your-own bowl concept where you can customize everything to your liking. FYI everything is freshly prepared in-house. I ordered a regular bowl with rice and greens, tuna, spicy tuna, and tofu, then added toppings like kimchi, corn, carrots, ginger, cucumber, onions, and a crunchy topping. But with all of these new trendy upgrades it has lost its cozy, relaxing small business neighborhood vibe the old location had IMO. They added bubble tea and Mochi donuts to their menu. They also were playing rap & trap music and I honestly thought I had walked into the wrong place when I went in. Gone are the guys busy behind the counter. You order via an ordering kiosk (they seem to be popular with places cutting down on staff) made by one person behind the counter. My order was made quickly but I'm not really sure about the kiosk ordering system since you need to input your phone number. I ordered my favorite bowl of theirs, Jimmy's Creation. The first time I tried it in 2018 it was so good I nearly skipped out of the place and wanted to eat here everyday. It's still good but the rice is much more sticky, a little too sticky for my liking since I had to break it up into chunks with my chopsticks. The sauce was a bit too sweat also. Was it always this sweat...? A minor issue though based on preference I guess. I would probably return again but probably not go out of my way and trek through a snow storm like I did once years ago.

Sushi rice was delicious and overall it felt like a nice healthy and fresh meal. Poke is overall expensive so portions were on par with other locations. I think its the lack of marinating the protein or sauces that are lacking in flavor. There was a variety of texture but no saltiness or spiciness or umami flavoring to offset the blandness or the veggies and protein.
