We ordered: 1. Salmon, Tuna, Octopus poke bowl 2. Sushi Burrito - salmon, tuna, cucumber, carrot, cilantro, green onion, rice seasoning, poke sauce, Sriracha mayo 3. Spam Musubi, Takoyaki, Ube Coconut Cupcake Very impressed with food quality overall. Fish was fresh and rice was cooked properly. I liked that the proportions in sushi Burrito wasn't too much. It makes the burrito balanced and more delicious. Spam Musubi was solid. I liked that the Takoyaki was a little firm and not totally mushy. Ube cupcake was moist and very ube-y. No issues with service. Plenty of seating inside.

Absolutely enjoyed the ambiance, but the food was lacking an abundance of flavor. The spam musubi was very dry and had no flavor to it. It was fully packed on with a huge quantity of rice, but it was disappointing. The Ube Queso was light, airy and not too sweet - it was prob the most memorable out of everything. However, I will say that their fish is very fresh and the portions of the poke bowls were great. Overall, it was very mid and I most likely won't be revisiting.

Poke Okie was great! The decor of the restaurant is so lovely and well done. The pink painted bathroom is a beautiful color. I might need to know the name of that paint color. The staff was soft spoken but polite and professional. We ordered the three protein poke bowls. I also ordered a smoothie. The smoothie was good but super tart. It needed slightly more sweetener. The poke bowls were very fresh ingredients and everything was very good. The fish was very fresh as well. We ordered the samoa donut and ube cookie as a dessert. $6.50 was a bit steep for a donut but I had to try it. It was worth it. Overall this would be a place we would return to.

Very excited to have a new poke option in Avondale! Poke Okie has a Chipotle style 'make your own poke' bowls with options like salmon, tofu, and shrimp with tons of veggie and sauce options. They also have signature poke bowl like roasted duck and teriyaki mushroom plus salads and smoothies! I chose the tofu bowl and it was delicious! Service was excellent and I'm excited to have a healthy lunch option nearby. They're located near a few other recently opened Avondale businesses including Loaf Lounge and Magnifico Coffee.

Build your own bowl: mine had tuna, spicy tuna, mango, and a few other toppings. I also had the Floral Green Tea.

Excellent food and friendly service. The portions are generous and the fish tasted extremely fresh. I liked the variety of toppings offered, including some that I have not seen at other Poke restaurants like dried octopus, tobiko fish eggs, and spam. I enjoyed the presentation of the food, too. I ordered a medium sized build your own bowl with two different kinds of tuna. It was served in a heavy ceramic bowl- felt better to eat on than plastic. The utensils were also not plastic and the straw in my drink was reusable as well. These are small things that I appreciated and my overall dining experience here was great. I would recommend this spot to anyone craving fresh fish in the Avondale/Irving Park area.

Place in my neighborhood is amazing that ordered the two scoops. Let me tell you it was more than enough to feed me. The sushi fish pieces were fresh and a big amount going back. Love the inside and I love the plants.!!

Poke is the ultimate choose your own adventure food. This place has so many vegan options plus meat and fish for those that prefer. Everything was fresh and delicious. Would definitely go back.

I stopped by Poke Okie and ordered a 3 protein bowl. The menu was a bit intimidating, but the staff guided me through. In the end, I had the most delicious meal! I chose shrimp, salmon & tuna which was awesome. It was full of veggies, and the sauce was on point. It's a healthier option in the area and a nice addition to the food scene here in Avondale!

Thrilled a poke place opened up in the neighborhood! For the price (~$14-16/bowl) you get a substantial bowl filled with toppings and sauces over either rice or greens. I really like that the bowls are customizable, where you select a number of ingredients from different sections. The choices are varied and taste fresh. The interior is cute with tables for dine-in, but the poke holds up for carry out as well.

Best thing to hit Avondale this year! Incredibly fresh ingredients. You can build your own bowl or order a set dish. The owners/staff are super friendly and accommodating. Poke Okie is run by the owners of Sipping Turtle and the food here is as good as the drinks are there. The space is light, airy, and feels very tropical. Soooo good!!

It was very much between lunch and dinner time, so the restaurant was completely empty inside. My friend and I perused the menu board and eventually each decided to get a regular sized build-your-own bowl. In my poke bowl, I got spicy tuna, salmon, and scallop as the proteins and purple rice as the base. I really appreciate them allowing three different protein choices, variety is great! I then got an assortment of other toppings, including my favorites, fish roe and imitation crab. Everything tasted very fresh as expected, though I think in the future I'd rather get a 2nd portion of scallop instead of spicy tuna (just a personal preference). My friend dined outside the restaurant on the sidewalk since it was a nice day, and interestingly some birds came by and basically begged for food. The price is super reasonable for the quality and portions and I'll definitely be back if I'm in the area. More likely though, I'll order delivery again from them first! The restaurant itself is cute and makes the most of its space. I have my eye on the ramen and the poke bowls for future visits .

From the moment you walk in, you get a warm Hawaiian vibe even in the middle of winter. It really makes you forget how cold it is outside. The staff member who helped us was incredibly kind and patient, especially with my sister, and I love the build-your-own bowl concept where you can customize everything to your liking. FYI everything is freshly prepared in-house. I ordered a regular bowl with rice and greens, tuna, spicy tuna, and tofu, then added toppings like kimchi, corn, carrots, ginger, cucumber, onions, and a crunchy topping. They finished it with garlic aioli and another sauce, so good! The garlic aioli was a standout. My mom ordered a similar bowl with tuna, spicy tuna, and cooked shrimp. She was pleasantly surprised by the value and kept saying how much she loved the food. The portions were generous, we even had leftovers to enjoy later. We also tried the spicy miso soup for dinner, and she loved that just as much. My baby sister kept it simple with rice and spam. She said she liked it, but true to her picky nature, she took one bite and that was it. Overall, a fantastic experience with fresh ingredients, great service, and generous portions. Highly recommend! Hope you check it out.

Granted the last time I went here was in 2019 to their old location just a few blocks up on Lincoln Avenue but it seems they got a corporate makeover after shutting down during the pandemic and rebranding. Maybe they have a new owner...? It's much more spacious and brighter with Herman Miller stool seats, a pinball machine and high ceilings. But with all of these new trendy upgrades it has lost its cozy, relaxing small business neighborhood vibe the old location had IMO. They added bubble tea and Mochi donuts to their menu. They also were playing rap & trap music and I honestly thought I had walked into the wrong place when I went in. Gone are the guys busy behind the counter. You order via an ordering kiosk (they seem to be popular with places cutting down on staff) made by one person behind the counter. My order was made quickly but I'm not really sure about the kiosk ordering system since you need to input your phone number. I ordered my favorite bowl of theirs, Jimmy's Creation. The first time I tried it in 2018 it was so good I nearly skipped out of the place and wanted to eat here everyday. It's still good but the rice is much more sticky, a little too sticky for my liking since I had to break it up into chunks with my chopsticks. The sauce was a bit too sweat also. Was it always this sweat...? A minor issue though based on preference I guess. I would probably return again but probably not go out of my way and trek through a snow storm like I did once years ago.

I had initially sat at the tables but it was a large table and I was by myself and didn't want to take up that much space. So I asked to be seated by the bar. Which is why some of the pictures I took had this blue glow to them that probably don't highlight the food as much as could have. The food wise was really good and the portions. My opinion were rather watch. I had ate dinner that night and took the leftovers home which was lunch. The next day. I had the Hawaiian BBQ chicken that I thought was very good and was recommended by the staff. For drinks, I had a Mai Tai which packed a pretty big punch. My first sip was a little strong, but after eating a little bit and coming back to it, the ice had melted. Just enough for the drink. Actually mellowed greatly and was very enjoyable. Tiki drinks tend to be very strong so I didn't really find this as an issue.
