Everyone here is so nice. The food was good. Orange chicken has a little more spice and definitely an orange flavor. Lo mien was great. Serving sizes were pretty good. They play cool music in the restaurant.

I've had better. I've had worse. Definitely not 5 star worthy as the overall rating suggests. 3.5 at best. I've had the orange chicken, sesame chicken, beef and broccoli, and the egg rolls. Solid at best. Temper your expectations.

Better than expected. It didn't seem like this place would be that good, but even for being a crappy looking place it was quite a find. Wonder Chop is one of the cheapest places to eat in Bucktown, or wherever. Okay prices on most items so it's pretty cheap. The area is kind of sketchy but not that bad for sure. Americanized Chinese yes, but it's good for what it is. It has a pretty standard menu. There's the basic type of stuff. It's about $9 for an entree. There's mostly beef and chicken, but some things for vegetarians. I picked up the Bean Curd Szechuan Style for carryout. The soft tofu wasn't the kind I prefer, but it tasted good in the hot sauce. Had some good flavor. There were also carrots and onions. Good place for cheap Chinese American food. It's a lot better than it looks. They still haven't reopened the dining room so it's only takeout.

Reasonably priced and delicious is how I would describe Wonder Chop for Chinese food. You can dine in at the immaculate dining room or order carry out. We were seated and served quickly while some soft contemporary piano music filled the air...it was just right. Our food choices came fast. Everything was as fresh as can be and served by who appears to be the owner. A charming lady who is soft spoken, all smiles and takes an interest in your dining experience. The food is carefully prepared and they serve the more traditional Chinese menu items such as home made Egg Phoo Yong, and crispy Egg Rolls served hot and fresh. They offer a wide selection of meat + vegetarian choices and you can add a little more spice if that's what you like. Honestly, we're foodies... we know what we want and searched around for a good clean simple Chinese restaurant. We mostly found fusion choices that although they were good, they just didn't fit. Looking for a new go-to for traditional Chinese... we highly recommend Wonder Chop. You won't de disappointed!

Stopped in with my brother for a late lunch. The table was nice and clean. Friendly staff and pretty quick service! The food was served hot and fresh. I'll definitely come back soon.

The staff were friendly and greeted everyone when coming in. We all wanted to try a little bit of everything. So we all ordered multiple things to share. The ube muffins were nice and warm when it came out. It was baked perfectly! I can appreciate a good mini muffin that isn't dry. Next we had the deviled eggs.....I think I could have went without it. I might have expected a little bit more. It had a slight curry taste to it. But it reminded me of a normal deviled egg. The steak and eggs was a nice portion! I think it could have been shared, if you and the table are ordering multiple items. The skirt steak came with kimchi fried rice, sunny side up egg, gailan, and scallions. The salmon & avocado temaki set was so cute! I think it was one of my favorites! It came with a side of seaweed so you can make your own handroll. My one friend ordered the southport set. The presentation was nice, but the katsu was a little in the dry side for me. We all shared the honey butter toast. It was the perfect amount of sweetness to it! The chantilly cream gave it that perfect balance. The perfect way to end a meal. I will definitely have to come back for the dinner!!

We stopped by one evening for dinner and loved the place as soon as we walked in. I grabbed the Harajuku cocktail, which is a special going on during the spring sakura season. Not romantic, more like the warmth of being close to people you like in a room that feels considered and clean. Perfect for an intimate group outing, especially on a cold rainy Chicago day which is exactly when we visited. The food delivered. My pad see ew with chicken was fresh, sweet, smoky, and deeply satisfying. The broccoli was slightly undercooked but honestly the texture against the soft noodles worked in the dish's favor. My partner's Godzilla roll was solid and fresh, not the best version he's had but not a disappointment either. Our friend's miso soup was light, salty, and exactly what a cold day calls for. Her spicy salmon onigiri was a standout, generous portion, great rice to fish ratio, and a beautiful sesame seed exterior that added a lovely nuttiness. Now here is where I get a little constructive. Ekiben has real potential to elevate the full experience and it is leaving some of it on the table. The plating on several dishes is genuinely gorgeous, but the disposable wooden chopsticks and mismatched glassware do not meet that same standard. Small upgrade, big difference. Also the television mounted in the corner is working against the intimate cozy energy the space naturally creates. Turn it off. Trust the room. Pricing is a genuine steal for the city. Quick attentive service seals the deal. We will be back, and so should you.

My go to Spoon Thai has been slacking with theirs lately so i gave Late Night Thai and Sushi a go and was not dissapointed. the delivery did take 1 hour so i dont think these travel well but I would love to have this in person to see if the noodles retain a little more bouncyness. Aside from that is is perfect. Normally I'd have this with chicken but I think I'll switch to beef on this since it has a deeper soy sauce flavor. Anyway this is my favorite Pad Se Ew of the Month.

The Alaskan cod sandwich was served on a bed of cabbage covered in a sweet teriyaki & brown mustard sauce with maybe a squeeze of kewpie sprinkled in between. For the main attraction I ordered the spicy garlic ramen that was such a delightful mouth experience it really hit all the taste buds! The noodles were perfectly bouncy with the right amount of chew. The jellied egg was perfect and rounded the soup very well! The red chili threads enhanced the spicy miso broth just enough to slurp all the delicious goodness down!
