Stopped in for a sweet treat with a friend a couple weeks ago! We were craving boba and this was the perfect spot for a quick drink. The cafe is really cute and pretty clean. There's a fair amount of seating if you want to come here with friends or to study. We ordered on the touch screens but the drinks came out quickly. I got a taro milk tea with boba which was so good. I ended up doing 70% sweetness which I thought was perfect. Overall I'd come back and would definitely recommend if you're in the area! read more

I felt like for the price, the drink was just mid. I ordered less ice and half sweet and it was still waayyyy too sweet for me. When we walked in, there were less than 10 patrons, but it still took a while to get our drinks. Best thing about Uni Uni is the ambiance/vibe. It is really bright and colorful, and there's a cute chalk wall folks can add too. Worst thing about Uni Uni is that it feels like a frat house basement. The packaging was actually for Vivi Bubble Tea. The employee was friendly but didn't have any recommendations and seemed a bit frazzled. Had this place delivered at work once and loved it! Had their probiotic drink and it was surprisingly good. Decided to walk to the place as it was nearby, tried another popular tea drink but unfortunately did not taste well, very watered down with no flavor - and this was the same with both my friends and I's drink. Brought it up to the worker to see if something could be done about it and they had said no and didn't try to fix it any which way. Was pretty disappointed not going to lie bc their one experience was well and this time it wasn't. The store itself is very cute and bright inside. You can order on a kiosk or at the counter. They have lots of fun Asian snacks too that are like fun flavored Oreos and things like that. I also had the mixed berry croffle which was good. The fruit was not the freshest and seemed to be starting to rot which is why I took off a star. A yummy spot! Saw the sign on the street promoting the croffle (croissant/ waffle) so stopped in and got the biscoff one. We went up to the counter and was informed that the menu on the kiosk was more expansive than the printed version. I didn't notice any differences in the croffle section, but that could be different for other menu items. The food took a long time to come out because I suspect they're made to order. The croffle was a fluffy waffle topped with a sweet cream and drizzle, with cookie crumbs and a full biscoff cookie. The interior was nothing special, but there were a few tables to sit and eat at. Uni Uni Bubble Tea is super cute! It is bright and airy with a ton of natural light. There is a decent amount of seating, so I bet it would be a nice place to study. I ordered at one of the self-service kiosks which was very convenient. My drink was made quickly and correctly. I had a lot of fun browsing their menu to see all the fun offerings they had. Ultimately I decided to go with the taro milk tea at 50% sweetness. Boba was an extra cost, so I skipped it this time, but do wish I had added it. I think it would have made my good tea great. Hey fellow Yelpers! This was my first time ever trying Uni Uni and they did not disappoint whatsoever. Joy Yee is my go-to boba spot, but Uni Uni might have to be my new go-to spot for Boba. I went to Uni Uni for their grand opening in the downtown Chicago location right near Harold Washington library & DePaul University's loop campus. Food/Drink Items: There were literally so many options to choose from. I already looked at the menu prior to coming to Uni Uni. My go-to at any boba spot is a mango smoothie with tapioca. My go-to at Uni Uni did not disappoint. It was so good that I ended ordering a 2nd drink. I ordered a mango smoothie with brown sugar tapioca & a mixed berry croffle. The drink was so good and I loved how it tasted different. It was both fruity & creamy. This was my first time trying a croffle and I didn't know what it was exactly until I tried it. It's a hybrid of a waffle & croissant. It exceeded my expectations! It looks like a waffle but has the texture of a croissant on the inside. All of it was super good! I ordered through the kiosk to save time. I just had a pretty unfortunate experience. , I unfortunately had a bad experience with the wait time. 23 minutes for a single drink with 4 staff working and only one other customer waiting is pretty insane for a boba place. When the drink arrived, it somehow was the wrong flavor, which they were glad to remake I suppose, which increased the wait time further. What really irked me is we saw the staff make their own drink first beforehand and drinking it, before proceeding to make ours. Maybe others will have a better experience, I hope, just seems like they don't care about customer, we felt pretty bummed. read more

This is easily one of the best boba tea places in the loop! The tea selections they have are absolutely amazing, and they have enough variety to where I you can try something new everytime. The staff are some of the nicest people I've met and were very Flexible and helpful with ordering and the manager was incredibly nice! She made sure to check in on everyone and was super sweet the whole time. She even helped get me a new croffle when it accidentally fell off my table. Overall amazing place and I will be there again! I already love uni uni, but now I love it more& I got this Oreo boba, and it was Delisous! But very sugary. The service was awesome, and the drink came really fast! I loved the setting, it was clean, and really nice vibe. The only downside is that it was really expensive. It was 7$, so I would come back again, but I really hope not for that price read more
